I'm in college. When I go to school and they make us introduce ourselves in class they start from one side of the room and work our way down. Whenever they get to me everyone turns around to see who I am. Even the teacher smiles at me specifically. To everyone else he didn't smile. Hey guys, I'd like to understand if this girl feels something for me, but her behaviour is quite awkward, so I can't really understand what's going on. We are in the same class and we slowly started do speak more with each other, as I was new to this school. At the start, I didn't really see anything on her, but she was always very kind to me and that kinda made me start to like her, her personality, as it is very close to mine, introvert and low profile. Then we started to discover many points in common and got closer gradually as the time went by. Then she started to act awkwardly by making random compliments during our conversations like : oh you're so cute! then I just didn't know what to do in those situations and when I noticed what she said she was already speaking with somebody else. One day we were in a PE class and she was speaking with one of her close friends about his girlfriend, as they were all friends. Then he asked her if she was interested in someone and she answered him a name that I could not hear properly, as I wasn't close enough to hear. This made my suspicions a bit stronger, but then , the day before the beginning of the short winter holidays, she said to me she was unhappy at that school . We were in classes so i said to her that we could speak better after the classes. After classes, she said she was unhappy because she still liked her ex but at the same time she didn't want to like him, but she couldn't avoid feeling that way, only by being with her friends. This grinded my gears because I thought she really liked me. Is this a jealousy attempt or am I misenterpretating this? Could this be a clue?
