I'm currently 16 and I got a job at Burger King. I know they don't pay much, he in NYS I get paid $8.75 and hour. I work about 15-18 hours a week. I get my paycheck every Friday but my parents sign the back and deposit it into their checking account, I know I'm still under their roof and they pay for my high school tuition but I want to buy stuff. Like I want to save but I don't see my money. If I get cash it's like $8-$10 I get and then they yell at me and say I should be considerable. I get that I have to pay my tuition out of my check but I never have fun. I can't hang out with friends because I never have money. I want my own money and I try to ask but always I end up getting yelled at. They force me to work over my hours. And I feel like I work for free because I don't buy stuff often and when I do it's not much. I work so hard but at the end of the day I don't see why I should if I see no repayment. They take my money and I want to at least get half

He's always had anger issues (pretty severe too) but for a while now I've also thought he's sadistic. Or maybe even psychopathic, although that may be pushing it. For example, just 10 minutes ago he got home from a wrestling match and my mom asked if I wanted to go downstairs to keep her company. I said it was too cold (because it's like 60 degrees Fahrenheit down there) and I had spent the whole day in bed because I threw up yesterday and suffered from a major headache too. All of a sudden, my nosy-*** brother chimes in, calling me lazy. I told him that I wasn't talking to him and he needs to mind his own business. Please understand, he adds in his own two cents ALL THE TIME and I'm always calling him out on it, because that's what he does to me when I don't even say anything. He gets pissed off, as usual, and starts throwing around swears and being condescending because I guess it makes him look tougher. I stand my ground and tell him to buzz off because no one was talking to him. He then says, "Do you want me to make you cry?" because he's been known to do that in the past. However, I told him that I didn't care because his words mean nothing, which is true. Then he goes off on how I'm "just an expense" and my pets are "just expenses" and that he was going to kill one of my pets. This is not the first time he's done this, he always threatens to kill my pets. And by the way, my pets are 3 lizards and 4 rodents-all defenseless creatures who have NEVER done anything to him... He's 4 years older than me and has been extremely violent in the past and manipulates my mom. He acts like he's the most perfect, smartest, and overall best person in the world, when my mom and I are the only ones who have seen his true colors. He doesn't disrespect my dad and my step-mom. He's gotten so scary at points where I've had to grab my phone and be ready to dial the police. He neves grabs knives or weapons. But isn't afraid to get physical with me- not my mom, though. I'm constantly... afraid of saying the "wrong" thing I fear of him exploding and lashing out with hurtful things. I'm only 13 and he's 17. He isn't the strongest thing in the world, but like I mentioned, he wrestles and can be pretty rough. So, what's wrong with him? Oh, and after he's calmed down a bit, he'll come and apologize and act like everything is just fine and light-hearted. He's called me a b****, a c***, and countless other insults, and like I said, I'm only 13.

*This is long* I recently just turned 20, the age where you become technically a man and people have to do whatever you say and stuff, but my parents have shown no willingness to treat me like an adult they must obey. I m 23 years old. I am in Community College and I just got a job. I only make so much and my mom knows this. Yet she is constantly threatening to kick me out. For any reason she comes up with. I am a teenager living a miserbale life.my mother beats me up and she has been doing it since my childhood. My fathet is an illiterate man and he is on job all day... . My mom, older brother and me wants to move to Atlanta. All my mom side of the family lives there and i don't know them as well I know my dad side (We all live in Chicago) . I feel its not fair for me to only know one side of my family more than the other. And i love spending time with my mom side of the family. We dated for three years in college, then started long distance when I went to veterinary school. One time while I was visiting him, I went through his text messages and found out he "took another girl home". When I confronted him and was about to break up with him, he claimed it was just a kiss. He begged for me back, saying I was his only love, the most serious relationship he's ever had, etc, and I took him back. Then later I got randomly jealous of some girl I saw he added on facebook. That triggered him to say he "can't do long distance for four years and put his life on hold anymore, it's too hard being away from me." He was crying the whole time. I begged for him to take me back, and he did. Then a couple weeks later, the girl I was suspicious of messaged me that she had been on several dates with him and they had had an hour long hook up/grinding session. As soon as she discovered he had a girlfriend, she ended it. I contacted him angrily and called him an *** hole. He said he was so sorry, he knew i could never forgive him, and I deserve someone better. But he would always love me and care about me. I know that all of this makes it sound like he didn't really like me, but throughout the 3 years we dated he wanted to be with me constantly, texted/called me 24/7, told me I was his one and only love, he loved me so much, etc. He was crazy for me. My husbands mom had twins and I am mad because he left me home while we were getting intimate to just go and see them. He didnt take me because last time she went to the hospital I was mad because he was not putting attention to me only her qnd it looked like the mom was happy about it. I'm a mother of 4 kids. Two twin daughters who are 9. Two boys who are 15 & 7. I love all my kids, but right now, I wish my 15 year old was a baby again. I miss the days when I would cuddle with him & give him kisses. Now he is all grown up & knowing how to take care of himself. He is very trained in kickboxing & grappling & sword & I love watching him train. He has very good grades in school. He is a freshman & he is very fluent in Spanish & English. I have heard from his English & History teacher that he is one of the best readers in the school & that he loves history. He has been awarded in school as student of the month for his good behavior. Is it normal for me to feel this way?

My mom has this thing where she calls me names and calls me stupid or disgusting. I know I'm not, but when I say I'm not, she gets furious with me and tells me to "not talk back" when I'm just defending myself. She always does this and she plays the victim always. My mother started being like this when I was about 14 I think. I recently turned 18. She is always blaming me for everything and thinking it's my fault even if she is not involved or has no idea what she's talking about. She often brings up my boyfriend or my friends and keeps going on about how I should be a good girlfriend/friend because "I don't know how to be one and I'm a bad person" which is just the idea she has of me, it is not true, I am an amazing friend and a great girlfriend and she has never seen me hang out with my friends and has no idea what I'm like with my boyfriend. When I get in an argument with someone she doesn't even ask what happened, all she says is "why do you always have to be such a shitty person to people?" and keeps insulting me and disrespecting me even during big family meetings, on christmas, on birthdays... I've been cheated on in the past and she got really mad at me saying that I wasn't good enough and that's why he cheated on me. I tell her all the time that she's being really evil and disrespectful and that she never takes my side but she denies it and keeps shoving insults and criticism in my face and even starts playing the victim like "see? this is what i'm talking about you don't appreciate people who give you advice, how are you supposed to ever have friends like this?" Why is that? I'm the most loving person with the people I care about and she has no reason and no knowledge to be talking about me like that.

I am looking to find a couple families in my area, to provide Christmas presents for their children. The problem is finding families who actually need help, and aren't just trying to get free gifts. I had put up a craigslist ad that asked if there were any families who could not provide adequate christmas presents, and required a paystub or proof of income so that I could be sure they were not trying to cheat needy families. It was not successful, so are there other ways to find economically-challenged families? Perhaps going through social media and checking in with acquaintances on there?

when I'm at home I shouldn't have to try and look good to impress my family right? well if I even come downstairs to get a drink without wearing makeup or having done my hair my parents and brothers will say things like "you look like a hot mess" or "you need some makeup". Basically my second toe on each foot curls out ways and my little toe sticks up. I know it's not normal. Lately she has been aggravating me. My parents buy me things all the time. Don t call me spoiled but I always am able to get things from my parents all the time and they will get it for me no problem. But this is completely different 2 times of the year, My birthday and Christmas. If I ask for anything in the month of December or September (my birthday month), apparently I can t get it but it will be a birthday gift. Even if it s something stupid like a few bucks for an iTunes card they will say "for your birthday/Christmas". OK I have a really strict dad this morning I got in trouble for not putting my clothes in the basket. I need my help on what should I do with my little brother. He's 9 and he has THE WORST anger issues I have ever seen. He gets mad over little things like losing in videos games or when things don't go his way, He doesn't think twice about violence. Whenever he gets mad at me or my sisters, he hits us, and he back talks my mom a lot, and cusses under his breath. It's so hard to get him away from his DS, TV, or computer! when he gets mad, he stomps and screams and throws things like a lunatic. I have my cousins son in the family grab bag. He is 18 months old. There is a $25 limit. I was planning to get him diapers, wipes, & a small you plus some baby/kid snacks. (I have coupons for most of it) My cousin & her husband are living off welfare & her parents. They live in a place bought for them, cry poor all the time but just spent $1000 on new hand guns. (For the second time this year) they both smoke & are have no issues dumping their kid on who ever to go out drinking. I want to get something they can't just take back for cash, (they did that for his birthday) Also my husband has been off work for almost 4 months now. He had surgery. He spent over a month in bed. We have 2 small kids. & do not qualify for any assistance. Am I jealous heck yes!!! We work hard get nothing they don't they get everything. We are for the first time in our lives behind on bills. & have no savings left. Asked family for help. I used felt to guilty buying myself my $4 coffee creamer & brand name tampons. Is that an ok gift for a baby? *would say no to even doing the grab bag but then my kids would have to watch everyone else open & not them.

This is not a joke. I am a teenager and I am genuinely confused with the denomination and hatred that society has for incest. If two people, even if they are related, 1) love each other, 2) are happy with their relationship and 3) consent to sexual intercourse then what is so bad about it? Why the stigma? People say its unnatural, well.. so is homosexuality in a way. And if people wear a condom where involved in an incestuous relationship then there is no risk kids with defects. I know part of it is my Dad's fault for not speaking up to see me but my mother is the one who said "no you can't" when my Dad asked me to come spend Christmas Weekend with him (leaving morning after Christmas). So how can I get my mother back in a productive way that I feel better but don't cause any long term damage. She is otherwise a good mother, just very bitter.

So here's the story: My mother had been tortured by her family since she was a kid. And as far as I know, torture can make you lose your sanity, right? She always has a feeling of hatred or revenge against them but she kept them in her heart and never did anything. Well, after married my father, her life change and she is happy now. But, her feeling towards her family is still there. Sometimes, I have the same feeling. Revenge and hatred towards other for no reason. I m seventeen and earlier this year I ve decided to move in with my father (who I haven t spoken to for the past six years). It was very traumatic and my mother wasn t supportive at all (the police was brought in). To top it off I started going to a new school at the beginning of the year (it s my third school during high school) and my marks dropped like crazy and my dad was furious. Me several times about beating me. I know she can do it because she already has done it. Now on monday 06.12.2015, she wants me to wear the hijab and I don t wanna. I have decided to only allow one toilet flush per day to save water but my family thinks its disgusting. I have removed the internals of the toilet and i flush it at the end of the day after everyone is sleeping. Do you think thats disgusting or am i being responsible?

I am a freshman in college taking biology as my major. I am currently staying on campus and I work from 4pm-2am making $600 a week. The past Wed. Thurs. I stayed off campus at my dads and last night I found out he was talking about putting me out because I came in the house late around 2:50am even though I told him that s what time I leave from work. so today when I went over there to get my clothes for work he was upset and put me out . My dad has taken my teen siblings and 27-year-old violent macho brother to a feminization program late last year without me since I was busy with a job. And now my dad has been bossing, blaming and scolding me even more while also trying to make me eat foods high in protein and giving me arduous chores each day.
