Posted: 23 Dec 2015 05:05 PM PST For as long as I can remember I've had a thing for bare feet on my stomach. However I've always liked laying under my younger cousin's feet in particular. We're only one year apart and are currently 16 and 15. Ever since we were kids I would make up excuses to lay beneath her feet. I'd slide myself underneath her as she was watching tv or something. Sometimes she'd respond with smiling and conversation. She's even told me on numerous occasions that she doesn't mind. However she also sometimes responds with giving me frowns and lifting her feet up. It's different every visit. I don't do this often and I only see her roughly about two times a year. I need advice on how to approach the situation. Is this type of foot fetish common? Should I confront her about it (I'm too nervous she'll never see me the same and things will change, and I really enjoy laying beneath her feet so..)? Is there an easier way to go about laying under her feet? Should I just (as much as I'd hate it..) stop? I know this is going to sound really strange (and maybe even gross) to a lot of people, but hey that's my foot fetish for you so please don't judge. I only wish for some help, I'd really, sincerely appreciate it. |

Question: My best friend doesn't hang out with me anymore .? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:28 PM PST I'm in highschool and I hang out with my best friends almost everyday at school which is great ,but lately she has been hanging out with other people outside of school . Which is fine .. If she would hang out with me at least a few times outside of school . I ask her to come over and she says she can't but she hangs out with someone new each day . She has never invited me places and mostly just asks my boyfriend to hang out with her for the day . They do which I approve because I trust them but I just wish we could hang out too. She also hasn't been texting me back and it says she read it, what do I do ? |
Question: Should I send my friend's Mom a response to her rude email? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:23 PM PST My best friend is currently having a falling out with her parents and I've been caught in the crossfire. We are both 19 and living at home while attending university. Her parents didn't approve of her relationship and took her iPhone away and then retrieved all her deleted messages she had sent or received. After reading them all her mother now thinks I am a bad influence on her daughter because I did not advise her against dating her boyfriend and also attacked my character and personal beliefs/interests. I was feeling really angry with the violation and how rude she was to me in the email making all these assumptions about my life. So as a form of catharsis I typed up a response to her email. I was very mature and made sure not to get nasty, but I also was honest in how she offended me. The question is do you think I have anything to gain by sending it, or do you think it will make the situation worse? I am worried that her mother is gonna try to stop us from being friends. She is very controlling. Do you think there is any way I could smooth things over with her? |
Question: My best friend didn t invite me to hang out with him? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:14 PM PST Lately, we haven t been spending as much time with each other as I would like. Usually, we talk every day, but now, it s just a simple "Hi" and "What are you doing?" He s been spending more time with another friend. :/ Last night, we were all at a friend s house for Secret Santa. We exchanged a few words and that was it. Then, after the party, I found out that he and his friend went to the movies together. He didn t even invite me and it made me angry. This has happened a few times before, but I didn t think it was such a big deal until now. Should I just ignore him until he talks to me? Should I slowly distance myself from him? |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:13 PM PST Ok so I have a good friend let s call him Bob, for the past few weeks we ve been getting close with one another. Today was the last day for us before Christmas break and the whole day we were doing this "couple things" the whole day. It all started in the morning we sat next to each other in biology and talked the whole class, then in health class we were sitting get across from each other but made eye contact with one another, for world history we were playing a jeopardy game and competing in different team (his won) but it made us talk more, for Spanish class the teacher wasn t there today so we had a sub we were supposed to make this thing for English class as a whole class and everyone was talking but he helped me mange everyone and create the order that we needed for the presentation then he helped me create a poster for the English presentation (decorations, we re also really good at art) when English finally the whole class was getting food at the back table, and when I had my plate he came to the rescue with a spoon when he saw I was struggling trying to get rice with a fork and then he went to get rice and his hands were full so I helped him get his rice, we both smiled and sat next to each other in the front row. Then I got called down to get dismissed and he came to the rescue again and brought me an extra plate so I could take the food with me. So what are we, or what we becoming? He is a really nice guy with an amazing personality! |
Question: How can I be more fun? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:04 PM PST I fee like I'm a very boring person and I've been told I am as well. I'm almost 17 and I hardly have any friends. I feel way too serious for my age. I'm very shy and awkward. My friends always seem bored of me when I'm talking. When everyone's having fun on Friday night, I'm at home doing homework. I overwork myself so badly. I am obsessed with it. I feel like I have to always have good grades and going to a good college and being successful is very important to me. I put work first even when there's an opportunity to have fun and I get too annoyed by immature people, I think everything has to be done by the rules and I'm beginning to think it's not good to be this way. I'm way too sensible and a bore. My friends never invite me anywhere because of this. I want to know how to have more fun and stop being such a buzzkill. Help? |
Question: Is it okay for a guy friend to send another guy friend a picture of his private part? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:02 PM PST I asked because my friend is a guy and I told him to send me a picture of his penis and he did we aren't gay or anything but I was just curious because he's black and I've been told that black guys have the bigger package so is it okay to do that or |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:46 PM PST So I threw a Christmas party yesterday with some school friends and some came but a whole lot of them claimed to be doing stuff with family. I found out this morning that someone else also had a Christmas party and I saw a picture with one of the friends that was "doing family stuff" in it. Is this something petty to get mad about or am do I have a good reason to be mad at them |
Question: How can I be a friend during conflict? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:40 PM PST After some back and forth my friend is mad at me. I escalated the situation beyond where it should have gone. I gave him a week to cool off and then apologized and asked if we could move on, but he is ignoring me. How much time/space should I give him? How can I be a friend when he doesn't want to be mine? |

Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:31 PM PST So,I have a cousin who is a year older than me.We have sleepovers a lot, because not only is she my cousin, she's my best friend.Every time we have a sleepover though, she always tickles me.I don't know why...she says it's because it's funny that I'm still ticklish and she's not at all.I mean I don't get mad at her,and I don't really care, but I don't know why she tickles me so much?lol. *please keep answers appropriate* |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:26 PM PST We have a next door neighbor who bought the house about 12 years ago. She has never moved in and nobody else has ever lived there since she bought it. She stops by about once a month. The weird part is that today she knocked on our door to ask if our car was parked in front of her house. When we told her it wasn't our car my mom causally said that no one lives in her house. She then responded (completely serious) a whole family lives here. Then walked away. When she comes by she goes in the house but it is very clear no one lives there. Ads are on the doors, windows always shut and none of our neighbors have seen anyone other than her enter or leave when she stops by. Any idea whats going on or is she just weird? |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:24 PM PST I don't like the way she looks at all. I would never date her. I feel lonely though and I'm thinking of asking her to hang out. Should I or what do you think? I think I could convince her to hang out because she seems like a really friendly/nice person, the kind who goes out of her way to help others. |
Question: Is this a normal reaction from a friend of five years? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:12 PM PST Hey guys, I ll try to keep this short. I have had a guy friend for five years who has been so fantastic as a friend. He had a habit of showing up late and one time didn t even let me know he would be late when I was moving out of my apartment, thankfully I had others there. I knew he was driving up from NJ to BOS to meet me one day and I texted him four times to confirm saying "are we still on". No response. He then showed up and was pissed I was not there. I told him he didn t confirm with me and I didn t want to sit there without knowing. Anyway, after five years now he doesn t want to be friends even though I apologized. Is this really a normal reaction? |
Question: Why have I lost touch with so many of my friends over the years? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:43 PM PST We were pals from middle school up til the middle of junior year in high school then we suddenly stopped talking with each other. Does losing touch with friends like this happen a lot? |

Question: A girl that hates me keeps 'liking' my pictures? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:37 PM PST I'm a girl and basically this other girl tried to steal my bff from me. She always gives me dirty looks/makes sure I'm not included in any plans she makes with my friends. When I talk to her she always has a snooty response and yeah it's basically known that we don't like each other. Lately, she followed me on social media and has been 'liking' my pictures. (Like selfies and drawings/paintings I do). She's usually the first to like my pics. What does this mean?? Is she playing mind games?? I don't understand. Because when I see her in real life, she STILL gives off the impression that she doesn't like me. Should I block her? |
Question: How do I surprise my best friend with a bass guitar for her birthday/Christmas? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:34 PM PST Hello! I bought my best friend a bass guitar for her birthday/ Christmas, since her birthday is January 2nd. Two of my other friends and my best friends mom pitched in money to buy it for her, but she has no idea she is getting one. She does not play yet, but really wants to. We are trying to find a surprise way to give it to her (without spending any more money) to get the best reaction from her. |
Question: What should a person do if someone constantly rubs their driver's license in their face? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:30 PM PST Yes its a spongebob reference but seriously what should a person do if their friends kept bragging about their new car and their driver's license and it gets so annoying the person would kill their friends to shut up? |
Question: My friends sympathize with me and I hate it? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:30 PM PST Since my father died and til now , my friends seem to worry about me and sympathize with me , I m not poor by any means , I just feel like theyre treating me differently , I don t need pity , how can I make them stop ? |
Question: Should I be friends with him again? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:14 PM PST Okay, so, late last year my best guy friend just stopped talking to me and I had no idea why. For a month I pretty much tried off and on to get him to talk to me and at one point I even begged him to but he didn't say a word. I was so upset because I truly had no idea what I did to him, to the point where I was actually depressed and couldn't eat. I realized it was ridiculous for me to try to get someone to be my friend since they clearly didn't want to so I just let it go. It's now been a year and just recently he randomly messaged me and explained things to me. He, apparently, really liked me and had thrown at all these hints and thought I was into it and when I started dating someone else he was crushed. I had no idea he was doing any such thing nor did I know he had feelings, so I absolutely understand needing space. The problem is that he knew I was so confused and so upset over the whole situation and didn't bother to clear anything up. That's what I'm currently having trouble with because I would never have left it like that with him and I used to see him as such a good friend and that whole thing hurt my feelings so bad. Even though I do understand why he kept quiet now, it just really changed how I felt about him. I feel like he was trying to save his ego by not telling me and what does that say about our friendship, you know? The whole thing just doesn't sit right with me anymore. What do you guys think? |

Question: Was I molested or sexual abused? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:05 PM PST so I had a friend that was boy we hung out with some other people then they left. then it was just us two alone. we were just talking and he picked me up and stood me on the ground and started making out with I didn't want to cause it would ruin our friendship. but he kept doing it and couldn't stop him. then started touching me in inappropriate places. I tried moving his hand from those places and didn't stop him either. (those places were butt, boobs, and vaginal area). and this totally ruined our friendship too. tbh I'm tired of trying to figured this out |

Question: Should I stay friends with her and still have the possibility of a chance? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 01:43 PM PST So this girl and I knew eachother for 3 months online through this group instagram community. She wants to hangout she likes me a lot I am just no friend of her like I'm legit one of her good friends. She has a long distance boyfriend they met once last week and were dating for 5 months he has my number because we shared the same community and he is very clingy and suspicious of me infact he's suspicious of other guys as well. I'm not really friends with him he is more of an aquaintance. I used to have feelings for her but I gave them up. They both know about it as well. I used to talk to her on the phone for hours and max we have been on the phone was 7 hours. We get along pretty well. Played games together and stuff. Her long distance relationship is kind of confusing they keep changing there future plans left to right. With that being said should I begin to get closer to her as a friend? And she told me over the phone that I am really important to her and she said don't bail on me because I have a boyfriend we are good friends. What should I do? I am afraid she might catch feelings for me she has not met me in person but I have a reputation of very good first impressions. I will let time pass and see what happens, her boyfriend is a junior in high school in New York and she is in California where I am at also. Should I stay her friend or leave I am very respectable of there relationship and told them both I hope for the best. |
Question: How much money should I have at £17? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 01:29 PM PST I'm a 17 year old high school student. I have a part-time job in a restaurant where I get £6.85/hour + tips which is decent I think! I work Saturdays + the occasional holiday day. I could do more hours but I struggle to keep up with school work and get stressed easily. Everyone my age that I'm aware of have a whole lot more money than me. My friends have thou£ands in one account and I think thousands more elsewhere. I have in total (I mean this an nothing else anywhere) £850. I know others are a lot worse off but I'm a little worried about the future when I need to start thinking about moving out, buying a car, paying for fuel etc. It just seems that everyone around me - apart from my family - have so much more than this. There is more I could - and will - start doing to save. But I feel that I'm missing out when my friends what to go for meals and this place and that place and I have to say I'm sorry, I'm staying home on my own.. I mean it's a real problem when all I really want to do is travel and enjoy life. Their parents etc. seem to pay for so much for them and they don't understand that I pay for everything myself. Is this a reasonable amount or should I really be worried and make some changes? Nobody really tells me these things so I'm unsure... Thank you! :) |
Question: Guy saw me looking at boobs and is spreading rumors? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 01:04 PM PST So I'm a girl in high school and someone sent me text message (which turned out to be a prank) saying that there were bomb threats and to click the link to see schools that were closed, so I did but the link lead to just a bunch of pictures of boobs and naked women and this guy on my bus that I hate (he's been annoying since elementary school) saw because my phone screen is really big and started telling other guys on the bus and it was really uncomfortable and I'm worried he's going to tell more people and start rumors that I'm gay (there's nothing wrong with being gay I just don't want people to think I'm something I'm not). And now after Christmas break I have to see them all on my bus I'm so anxious. To make it worse, I kind of was walking really fast to get off the bus and I fell into a split it was so embarrassing. So anyways my question is what should I do to minimize the damage? |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:59 PM PST Okay so im 14 years old (atleast i am this year, today, this time since im typing this) and im not a girl you would consider as the 'popular' type because im not pretty, rich nor smart. just face it, all of the popular kids are either rich, pretty or smart. but im not a hideous person either. i sure have some 'issues' with my body, secretly or not but i really do realize that tho. i dont really mind if im being considered as the 'ugly' type by some people/strangers because well, i dont really give a sh*t. back to the topic, with my flaws and being me i managed to find myself some new friends (ofcourse, everyone does) since i moved here at the 7th grade, now im a 9th grader. its been 2 years and a half since i just moved here, i just felt like most of my friends left me, maybe because they're bored, i dont even know.. i do realize it a while before and i just focused on my favorite close friends, only 6 tho and we splitted class so we couldnt see each other everytime. lately they have been very cold to me like not answering my chat and ignoring me on the groupchat, its not so obvious but im not naive, i have senses too. they just read my chat on the groupchat and RARELY answered me, i felt a little disappointed tho. in real life theyre cool w me but theyre not as warm as the old days. and no, i did nothing wrong and this started since like 3 months ago and im getting sick of it, why does everyone keep drifting away from me? pardon my whole life drama that i wrote at 4am, help? |

Question: Do all friendships really come to an end at some point and if so, why? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:17 PM PST So- there was a ex-friend of mine who told me that no friendships last. That everything comes to an end and because of this cold view of the world she keeps herself distant from everyone else. I at first thought that wasn't true until one day- I messed up one to many times and she ended the friendship with me as it being my first friendship I had I made silly mistakes that took me a long time to forgive myself for. But this whole experience with her made me question my view of everyone as maybe she was onto something here. If you keep yourself distant from everyone maybe you really don't have to worry about getting heart broken like I was when I lost her. So- was she right? Do all friendships really never last? Is there really no point in putting your heart and soul into a relationship because what's the point- not like it'll last right? Right? I don't know... Any response to my question would be nice. |
Question: She's in love with a prison inmate!!!? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:14 PM PST My friend willingly wrote to a prison inmate in the states (she lives in Australia) and she said she didn't mean to - but they "fell in love." This man is in the slammer for murdering his girlfriend, but my friend swears he's a good guy who just "snapped" one day he would never do it again. She's planning on moving her whole life for this guy and there's no way he'll be able to move out of the states when he's released in 6 years. I want to be supportive of her but she's so in love with him - or so she thinks - and she'd rather be with him than someone in her own country. What words of support can I give to her when I would never willingly even speak to a convict who did something like this!!! |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:00 PM PST I just recently got drunk with a friend (who drank as well) and my boyfriend (who stayed sober because he doesn't like drugs of any kind). The thing that scares me is that I can totally see how I could become an alcoholic. It was REALLY fun. I was super happy and giggly, everything was funny, etc. But there is alcoholism in my family and I really do not want to go down that path. Is social drinking ok or should I just nix it completely? I dont want a chance of ruining my life with drugs :( Thanks for your help...unsure of what I should do. I got drunk off of Coconut flavored Parrot Bay & apple pie moonshine. I only drank because it was my friends 21st and he wanted to. I didn't even plan on getting drunk - but it turns out I'm a bit of a lightweight, LOL. I wasn't drinking to forget anything, and I didn't have a horrible hangover the next day - but I was extremely drunk and it was really fun (that's what worries me). |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:57 AM PST I've been friends with a guy for like 3 years, but I live in Syria, "Society" won't allow me to actually be friends with him. I had to be such a b**** to him so he hates me, then I leave, and I know it hurt him more than it hurt me. it's been a year now without any sort of communication, but I got to know he left the country in the past few days. he was the only one to understand me in my highest and lowest, I could be the real me around him, I really miss talking to him so much, so I posted on Facebook some letter to him, I made sure there was NO reference in it to (who's the recipient) nor his gender, and signed it with 2 different letters from my name and his. an hour after I was scolded for it from my family, they forced me to delete the post. I felt bad about him, I was missing him, and then, I got forced to hide how i felt. COME ON SOCIETY !! we didn't "love" each other in any bad way !! we only had fun with talking to each other those talks that can be made with ANYONE, we were friends that communicated and connected very well !! what would you do to ease things if you were in my place? I already thought of travelling to another country but it's hard to deal with things, but "travelling" when you're a single girl in a very strict society is really a tough thing :3 it's gonna take me at least 3 years from now until I graduate my Masters and then start to save money to get to being free in my choice (which depends on being financially separated) any other suggestions ?? |
Question: Guys they always expect me to talk first? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:50 AM PST Am a shy girl and guys in college always stares at me and stand waiting for me to talk to them. And if I didnot they assume I dont wanna talk to them. What should I do? How do my make guy friends. I don't wanna talk first |
Question: I am so sick of being poor!? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:47 AM PST I go to a college where every one walks around with expensive stuff, then there's me who everybody makes fun of. I am tired of being behind my friends. I love rich people but I ma sort of jealous to. i want to get rich. i don't know what to do. |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:35 AM PST I depend on my parents for home in the summer holidays, but other than that, I do not "really" need them. Bottom line, they verbally abuse me whenever I talk to them. But it is a long-term relationship, I am on a long-term university course. Should I accept their bullying for 5 years and then break all bonds with them? I am considering breaking bonds with them permanently because they are almost like criminals, they do not care about my well-being. I just rely on them slightly for financial support (to quantify, that is like, 200 pounds per year at best alongside staying at home). I am not completely independent, so I do need that kind of support in the short term. Thanks. I know it is a difficult question, I will award best answer to the most succinct, nicest and realistic answer. |
Question: Does this make me a cougar? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:11 AM PST I got a note from my daughter's high school that she was failing in math and they recommended a tutor. Being a single mother I did not have much money to spend on tutors. I knew a family friend Bob who could tutor her and I hoped he would be cheaper that the tutors the school gave me. I called Bob, a 26 year old single guy, and told him my problem. He said he would be happy to tutor my daughter for FREE and he did. My daughter raised her grade for F to A in math. A marvelous accomplishment. Since Bob would not take any money for his tutoring (he said he did not charge friends for his help) my daughter and I decided to take him to an expensive restaurant for a meal as a way to say thank you. We had a great meal, great conversation and a lot of fun at the restaurant. Jokingly my daughter asked Bob if he had ever been on a date with 2 women at once. Bob said you mean 2 BEAUTIFUL women at once. We all had a good laugh. My friends that I told about this said I should not have been on a date with a guy 10 years younger than I am. It made me look like a cougar. I tried to point out to them that if it was a date why did I take my daughter with me. I told my friends there is nothing wrong with a woman going on a date with a much younger guy. They are not buying it. Please tell me what you think. Is it OK for a woman to date a much younger guy? And was Bob hitting on me, my daughter, or both of us? |
Question: Friendship after 18 years seems to have off roaded.? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:07 AM PST Anna and I have been friends for a long time, we are both in our mid twenties. Earlier this year Anna got a DUI. Anna's worried she won't get into law-school now. Anna's been very down and I convinced her to go to a therapist, she did . Soon after Anna engaged in unprotected sex (with an ex-boyfriends ex-friend) on the first date and is afraid she is pregnant/has an STD. I have been trying to be supportive and kind but I try not to give advice (falls on deaf ears). I have been in college (so been fairly stressed out typical student stuff). Also before finals I rolled and totalled my car, got a TBI. Anway, we (Anna, I and a friend) got together after being in different parts of the country. We were all updating each other on life events. I excitedly shared the news I was going to get engaged to my boyfriend... and then suddenly everything went downhill. Anna kept repeating this was not the boyfriend she would have. That he wasn't her type, asked me questions that I asked answered (income, plans for life). Accused me of 'uptalking' him every time I answered a question honestly. It kept going on and on. Finally I got up from the table and left. What happened? Should I fix this or move on? I understand she might be in alot of pain that is causing this behavior. The only time something near enough happened was she and I were both losing weight. Soon after she asked me to stop losing weight (which I did) and the issue seemed to be resolved. |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 10:58 AM PST Ok So i was on the app k.i.k with my friends right? Its basically an apo where you can communicate with anyone. Well i was being stupid and pretend to be a stalker to my friends and i said i knew where they live and my friends got really scared. First it was really fun and it really got me cracking up and she said were gonna all investigate this guy but i didn't think of it as anything serious at the moment. But what i didn't know was she got her mom involved as well. At school she told me "my mom called the cops" and my mind went completely blank. What am i gonna do. I tried to convince her into stopping when saying "what if its just a big joke lets just forget about it" but she didn't listen. Guys of they find out it was me my life is ruined. Can they track my kik? Please text my kiK Geekandproud25 |
Question: Has anyone been in my situation? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 10:51 AM PST This guy led me on and he denied it, and we got into an argument. I was heartbroken and telling him my entire feelings and it ended badly, all he said was 'sorry didn't mean anything. Hope you can move on :)'...at the time I was heartbroken at the fact that he wasn't taking my feelings seriously. I had these feelings for six years and ongoing. Please understand that I was hurt and I kind of verbally attacked him, saying that I hope the same thing happens to him so he could know how I felt at the time. I know it was a wrong way to go about it but..I was really really hurt. Fast forward to now, a mutual friend of ours didn't invite me to her party but invited my other friends, I went anyway. When I saw him, he was hugging a girl in front of me, knowing that I was there but I tried hard not to care and went to talk to my friends. He was bitching about me to people. The friend ignored me completely and I was so confused. Why tell other people? I told my feelings to him and he went and told people? I don't even know if that's ok or not, judging the way things ended. |
Question: I know she's busy but.....? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 10:27 AM PST I have a friend in town who works a lot. She's busy a majority of the time. The last time I saw her was over a month ago. I understand the holidays etc. but it just seems odd that she can't make ANY time to see me. We had planned to get together after Christmas but she had to cancel. Now, I asked her if she wanted to hang out New Years Eve and her response "ummm no. A) Driving NYE freaks me out with all the drinks on the road & B) I don't know how late I'll be working. We are both 28 years old. I work full time as well. It just frustrates me. I don't have many other friends in town. I bought her a birthday present from back in early Dec & I have yet to give it to her! Should I not bother reaching out to her anymore? Suggestions? |
Question: Do you have selfish friends? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 10:21 AM PST My good friend and his wife are always spending money beyond their means despite having two kids. For example..the guy has about 20-30 pairs of new shoes and the wife probably has double that. That's just their shoes. They constantly take trips, buy a car one year and trade it in for a newer model before it's paid off (waste of money) and live a lifestyle that on the outside makes them appear wealthy. I know that they have money issues and have already taken out two home equity loans to pay down their debt (and going for their third). Their house - purchased from his family at a bargain price has gone up in value but they have already taken out a lot of the equity it's gained. The wife eventually goes nuts when the bills get to be too much for her to handle...she blames him and he blames her until they almost get a divorce (happened about 3 times now) before they take out another equity loan and things go back to the way they were. I am concerned for the kids. Although their kids don't want for anything either...their parents do not save for rainy days, their kids college educations or their kids future weddings (both girls). Should I say something to my friend? All I can think about is that the kids will be stuck with a house they can't afford when their parents die. We call each other out on our crap all the time but since the wife is involved and she can be a crazy person at times, I don't want her to take offense. |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 10:04 AM PST we were friends for 2 days I did nothing at all |
Question: Are we taking advantage? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 09:57 AM PST So my friend's family invited my mom, brother, and I over for Christmas last year because we don't have any of our family where we live. They invited us over again for this Christmas but I feel like we are imposing and I don't want them to get annoyed with us. Do you think we are taking advantage of their hospitality if we go again this year? What would you think if you were the one to invite people over to your house for Christmas? |
Question: Friend doesn't reply to facebook messages even when she sees it? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 09:54 AM PST I have a really close friend that I talk fairly consistently with on facebook. However, recently, I've been sending her messages, only to see that she "saw" my message, often soon after they were sent, but then doesn't reply to them. Later on, she'll either reply to a different message that I send her, or be the one to contact me, often completely ignoring what I had asked before hand. I'm the sort of person that tends to overthink things a lot, and while I'm pretty sure she doesn't dislike me or find me annoying, it doesn't help to keep thinking that I may have said something or done something wrong. I don't bombard her with messages every chance I get, don't try to force her into open conversations with me whenever I see her online, and I'm fully aware that some of my messages don't warrant a reply or a reaction, but her "seeing but not replying" habit often extends to questions and requests as well. For instance, she recently agreed to keep me company as I was waiting for my flight back home. Lo and behold, she exhibited the same behavior again, and I didn't get a reply from her, about a completely different topic, until I had gotten back home. Any idea as to what I should do, or perhaps stuff that I should keep in mind instead? |

Question: I'm afraid that people will think I'm retarded and untalanted? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 09:02 AM PST Like a new job... I hate boring jobs but in a new one, I'm just afraid to be an outcast. |
Question: I said something embarrassing help? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 09:00 AM PST So here's what happened. So I came to a gathering with a friend a few days ago. While she was having a conversation with someone else, I go up to a new friend of mine and start talking to her. So like I had been trying to introduce the friend I came with to some other people. So I was taking to my new friend and asked 'oh do you know 'name''? And she's like ' no who is that' so I pointed to my other friend and said 'my best friend' . Okay that is what started it. She was like oh okay. I Then Proceeded to say things like 'oh she's really into sign language she is like making sighs with her hands while she's talking ' and then I was told her to 'oh look at her ' still talking about my other friend she doesn't know. And like we keep talking and she smiles and stuff. I am so embarrassed because it's like what I was saying sounds like to me' oh look at my best friend over there she's so special she does all these things and she won't be as good as you' kind of thing. We didn't talk for long but that sounded really stupid like my new friend meant nothing to me. Every time I think about it I get shivers because of how stupid and rude that sounded. I really like my new friend and sure the other girl is my best friend but some day I want my new friend to be one of my best friends too. Please help I am freaking out what do I do? |

Question: Friendship problems!? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 08:18 AM PST My classmate posted a very offensive and racist post on her instagram, offending chinese people. I was very mad because I am chinese (duh) and the comments on that post totally agreed with her that chinese people were monsters, etc. I was steaming mad, so I commented on that post and called her a hypocrite. I was glad later that I didn't start calling her swear words. But I guess being called a hypocrite is considered VERY RUDE, like not just a little rude, but VERY RUDE, and she blocked me. Later, somehow we both stumbled upon the same post that was similar to the one she posted. I was so sick of hearing everyone call chinese people mean, cruel, monsters, so I let the owner of the post hear what I had to say. I resorted to a mature way of speaking, but another girl tagged me and said that I had to "shut my whore mouth up." Okay, now that's rude. My classmate tagged the girl that tagged me and said that she knew me, and that i was very mean and bullied her. WHAT? I called her a HYPOCRITE! So I complained to my friend about this, and she totally shut me down because she was closer to my racist classmate than she was to me. She said: "I think that you were a lot ruder than you should have been, and it's her opinion anyways, what does it have to do with YOU?" Okay now I was seeing red. I said:" I AM CHINESE AND SHE OFFENDED MY CULTURE AND MY RACE. WHAT IF SHE DID THE SAME TO YOU?" Just typing this gets me mad. She eventually just didn't answer and now things are awkward. |
