When people see me, they see a very skinny little girl, I give a vibe of weakness. I try not to think this, I want to think that I'm strong and amazing, but I stopped. I frankly don't want to be popular, or the best, or the apple in everyone's eyes. I just wish I wasn't ignored or seen so low. I have a hard time keeping new friends. Apart from being pathetic, as soon as the relationship gets to close, I drift away. Compared to my preppy, outstanding friends, hardly anyone knows my name. Even when they do, they make fun of it because of how its spelt. I can't stand up for myself because I just make a bigger idiot out of myself. I don't want to tattle tale either. I've tried to improve, but I can't, I finally realized how useless I am. I stopped eating, socializing, or doing anything else because its not helping. Most people look over my head, I am the last to get picked for a team in my P.E. class, I am completely a loner aside from the 2 close friends I have. |

I've just lost a family member, so we've had to move across the country to help out her husband. I'm going to an all new early college school, and at first everything was great. I couldn't have been happier. However, recently my friends have been getting more and more on my nerves. Ranging from having absolutely no motivation to take responsibility for themselves or to do any work, to making 'white' jokes and everything about me. My teacher said I act like a know-it-all, I've been called annoying, and now my 'friends' have just kicked me out of our usual eating-place at lunch. A girl I told about it said that the way I acted when I first got here made me seem a little like a jerk too. All I've been trying to do was help people, and apparently I was made out to be a jerk? I was like a tutor in my last school, so I've been trying to help other students with work here too. My parents are really aggravated at me lately it seems too, and they said I do act like I know everything, which I really don't mean to. Just what do I do? I've lost my friends, and I have no time to join a club or anything due to me trying to catch up with this new school. I might be falling back into this depressive state I just got out of for almost two years, and I don't know how to deal with it. Sorry for making this so long and wasting your time. I did two classes over the summer, so I started 9th grade with 8 credits. Currently, I'm in 3 AP classes while most people have 0 and few have 1. I'm not sure if I should try to compete for number 1 or not because I know I would have to work very hard and I don't want to regret missing out on the high school experience. I am very determined so if I set my mind to something, I will work very hard to achieve it. I make all a's and I'm not sure if it's worth trying since I there are some competitive people in my grade. |

She told me yesterday after school and I was a little annoyed because these girls have always hated me and been mean to me just because I dated this guy they liked. Posted: 09 Dec 2015 03:57 PM PST Okay, so long story short, back in August, I was really depressed after being raped by someone I knew, and attempted suicide. I was driving on the road, and literally minutes before I was about to end my life, a cop pulled me over. He was really nice and drove me to the hospital, and since then, I decided to get the help I needed because I felt that what happened was for a reason. Well last week, I found the cop on facebook and thanked him on thanksgiving for helping save my life. He said he was really happy to hear from me and told me to come to the police department to see him in person. Well yesterday, I did just that. I bought him an engraved recognition trophy that read "the worlds greatest cop. Thank you for saving my life." I also gave the department a huge mason jar filled with different kinds of candy, and also a thank you letter for everything they did to not only help save my life, but change my life. I spent at least $300 on all of this. Last night after I left, the cop thanked me a lot on facebook and even have me his number if I ever needed anything. He seemed fine and even told me to stop by again next Saturday for an event the department was having. Well today, I find out that he unfriended me and as the day went by, I found out he blocked me. I don't understand... Did I do something wrong? I'm very hurt and just want to know why. The only other person at the police department was his other cop friend. |

I've tried my best to be supportive, stopping short of being used or abused. Lately, she's upped the ante on her attention-seeking antics, ranging from calling me derogatory names or insulting my appearance as a "joke", trying to come between me and my boyfriend, and doing drugs in my car while I was driving- claiming that I was overreacting when I said it wasn't ok. We got together for coffee a few weeks ago, and I finally laid out for her that her antics weren't cool, and that I'm happy to be a friend but not punching bag. She said she understood, was sorry, and was going to "work on it". The clincher was when she sent me a scathing manifesto (email) while I was visiting my boyfriend over Thanksgiving break-knowing full well I was with him. In this email, she said that the reason she turned to drugs is because I wasn't there for her enough, among the many other reasons why I'm a terrible person, most of which were skewed recollections at best and outright fabrications at worst. I haven't responded because I honestly don't know how or if I even should. I'm not sure I even want to give it breath, but I can tell she's getting increasingly more agitated as time goes on without a reply. Any ideas on what to do with this? |

But i want to know how I can gain confidence at school and make friends and talk to people. I just transferred to a new school about a month or two ago and ive only made 1 really good friend and like two or three that i talk to occasionally. I came from doing online school for about the first 3 or 2 months when school started because the year before i went to regular public school and i became really depressed and had a ton of anxiety so it was really super hard for me to get out of bed or even go to school at all so they would not let me come back and the school said that online schooling would be better. I lost all motivation the second day of school so i didnt do any of it and learned nothing so my mom put me in another school and now im super behind. The thing is... this hurts me, the way I'm treated by other people. It has been like this since I was little. They treat me like I don't understand anything. I'm that little baby that needs to be looked after, that needs to be quiet down. If I give a personal opinion or solution all I find is people insulting me. And it's frustrating a bit - because I pretty much spend all of my time listening to others and hear about their opinions or problems and encorage them to speak out and actually try to listen to what they have to say. But when it comes to me, I should be jumped over. My opinions doesn't matter, nor my solutions, nor my views. Their thinking is the right one, not ready to accept my way of thinking. I'm not accepted. It doesn't help either that I'm that shy and weird teen in my school. Different clothes, music, way of being (not extreme, but you get it...) Not accepted. Why is it that no one wants to listen to me? Is it because of the weird-teen-thing? Or is it ME that needs to change? These people don't understand how much it hurts me when I'm trying to talk about something and they just push me down. Is it my fault? What should I do? Why am I not worth anything? Sorry for my English and long text. |

(As far as I know) the only reason I can think of is that this innocent happened. But he "forgave" me but not the 2 other people involved, he said he was their pretend friend. But what upsets me is that he would hide that from me, I understand, I can be annoying ALOT, If he would have told me to my face i wouldn't be so hurt. She loves those things so much that people at school are scared of her and will literally give up their seat for her or stop talking if she tells them to. I, on the other hand, refuse to "obey" to her as if she has any authority over me and that bothers her. But what bothers me is, she is the rudest b***h I have ever met. So self centered and trashy, really. She is always telling me how rude I am or how much she wishes I was like my sister even though I have done nothing but defend myself from her hateful remarks or ignore her all together. In fact, I used to act extra friendly to her in the beginning of the year in hopes of becoming friends but she would still find something negative to say about me and bring me down. I'm so tired of her trash talking me to other people. I can only stick up for myself so many times before she resorts to physical violence, which I do not believe in. Not to mention, she would most defintely do major damage seeing as I've never been in a fight and she's been in too many to count. How can I get her off my back? |

We started having problems ever since she started to have a boyfriend(they ve been going out for almost 2 yrs ) Yes I know that s usually a common reason why friendships don t last but I understand that s her boyfriend. The thing is I try to leave them alone so they can have some time together. But it just seems like we re not even talking anymore. She does admit that we have problems between us but she always keeps saying she doesn t know what to say or she doesn t know how to approach me and whenever she s around her boyfriend it s like she forgets all about. I always have to bring up our problems because I still want to be friends so it seems like she doesn t even care. We haven t even spoke in almost a month. Whenever I say hi to her now she just awkwardly smiles and keeps walking. Her boyfriend and I use to be cool with each other but now he seems as if she said something to him. This is our high school senior year. I don t want this situation to keep me from going to prom because I didn t go to homecoming. She still lives at home with her parents and does not pay any type of bills. (I wish I was that fortunate) Since she got her new job, she's become really obsessed/into herself. She spent over $4,000 on "high end makeup" and all I seem to hear about is the latest makeup product she needs to buy. She will only shop in "higher end" stores now and tells me things like "If you are really pretty society treats you so much better & how everyone at her office is telling her how beautiful she is." When we go out often times she will make comments like "I would never shop at that store it's too cheap" She's also made quite a few recent comments about our friends and how she finds them unattractive & ugly. It just makes me wonder if she's saying all these terrible things about our friends what does she say about me? I'm not AT ALL into makeup or fancy expensive clothes that's just not me. What are your thoughts? Could you be friends with someone like this? She never used to be this into herself before she said it's a new found "confidence" |

| Question: Did I do something wrong???? Posted: 09 Dec 2015 12:33 PM PST Okay, so long story short, back in August, I was really depressed after being raped by someone I knew, and attempted suicide. I was driving on the road, and literally minutes before I was about to end my life, a cop pulled me over. He was really nice and drove me to the hospital, and since then, I decided to get the help I needed because I felt that what happened was for a reason. Well last week, I found the cop on facebook and thanked him on thanksgiving for helping save my life. He said he was really happy to hear from me and told me to come to the police department to see him in person. Well yesterday, I did just that. I bought him an engraved recognition trophy that read "the worlds greatest cop. Thank you for saving my life." I also gave the department a huge mason jar filled with different kinds of candy, and also a thank you letter for everything they did to not only help save my life, but change my life. Last night after I left, the cop thanked me a lot on facebook and even have me his number if I ever needed anything. He seemed fine and even told me to stop by again next Saturday for an event the department was having. Well today, I find out that he unfriended me and as the day went by, I found out he blocked me. I don't understand... Did I do something wrong? I'm very hurt and just want to know why. |
