Question: My father has cancer and he is dying. I m afraid of seeing him.? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 01:12 PM PDT We talk on the phone almost daily and text all the time. I ve found every excuse available so I don t have to go see him personally. I live in another city. He has been the best father anyone could wish for. I m a father too now, I have two little children. He is only 69 years old. My mom sends me pictures all the time and he looks almost unrecognizable. he went from being a big strong guy to a frail elderly man. He found out he had a rare, super aggressive, type of cancer in February. I ve always admired him SO MUCH, even as an adult I feel so "protected" (I guess. I don t know what word I could use to describe the feeling) when I m with him. He is just the best person I know. Not once he s complained about anything since he began chemotherapy. When we ask him he always says that he "feels fine". Next week I m getting on a plane and I m so scare to see him. I feel egotistic, ungrateful, I don t know what I feel or how to deal with this or how to act when I see him. It is killing me. I m just a mess right now. Have anyone gone through this?
Question: Is this a selfish thing? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:55 PM PDT My parents always have been very strict, naggy and annoying about my education. They loved comparing me to my brilliant and overachieving cousin. They've been verbally and emotionally abusive with me for a very long time. They've bullied me a lot for my not being an overachiever like my cousin since high school. I'm in college now. Im recently trying to get a nursing degree which would take 6 yrs in college for me to complete. I also have the option to get an accounting degree which will take me 4 yrs to complete. If i plan on getting the nursing degree which would take 6 yrs, my parents will give me hell and bully me some more. They are very strict on academics and they are very concerned about how they look to our relatives. I plan on abandoning my family after i get my 6 yr degree so i don't need to face their unreasonable wrath. Do you think this is a selfish thing to do? I really don't care about them anymore anyways. I hate them.
Question: My mom is bi-polar and have anger issues, what should I do? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:51 PM PDT I have a double date tomorrow with my boyfriend and and she won't let me go since I come home at 10:30 from a bowling alley. I take care of my little brother when she goes out which is like every weekend and I clean around the house. I can't go anymore cause she said that's too late and I'm irresponsible. She's so bi polar, like yesterday she was happy and nice to me because I made her a hamburger and took care of my little brother. Since I'm so "irresponsible" why the hell I gotta watch my little brother for then if she thinks that. She gets angry easily and hurts my feelings with her words and sometimes hits me. I take care of her child every freaking day and I can't go out once with my friends, it's very unfair. I'm 16 btw. Idk what's wrong with her, she doesn't trust me. That's funny cause if I'm with my other friends she doesn't have a freaking curfew for me. Only with my boyfriend. Wth is she think I'm gonna do, have sex at the bowling alley? She's sick and such a *****. I'm scared of her sometimes. What should I do?
Question: What should I tell my dad? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:46 PM PDT My dad wants to go this families house, I mean there my family too but I don't even feel related to them because they once told my mom they dont count my mom and I as family because my dad and mom aren't married. And I have felt bad from that day because they basically told me I wasn't part of there family and I just don't feel like seeing them. If I tell my dad I don't want to go, he's going to get mad. What should I do?
Question: My cousin yanked my and tried to get me to sit right next to him? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:40 PM PDT Im 14 and my cousin is 14 we were in his living room and he was sitting on his couch and then I was booty bumping with my other cousin who is 15. Then all of the sudden my 14 year old cousin yanked my arm and pulled me down onto the couch. He was pulling me towards him and I almost landed sitting on his lap but I turned my body so I landed next to him and not on top of him. The whole night I was there he was staring at my boobs. I tried to cover myself up in a way that he didn't notice. Later we went to the pool right by his house. And the 14 year old was trying to be funny and he grabbed my foot and was dragging me towards him in the water. We were in the shallow end so he wasn't drowning me. I swear I felt him put my foot on his "man bits" When we all got out of that pool and went to the smaller pool his dad was taking pictures and I looked over and my cousin had a major hard on. my question is what do I do about all this? Do I confront him about his erection or not?
| Question: My mom won't buy me a new backpack!? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:40 PM PDT It's a new school year and I really want a new backpack. When I asked my mom about it yesterday she said "No, you already have two backpacks, you don't need another one." Even though the backpack I want is only $9.88 and me offering her that I would pay for it with my own money, she still said no and lectured me saying that a new backpack isn't necessary and I shouldn't be wasting my money on something I don't need. When I went home I checked my old backpacks and one of them has a hole in the bottom and the other one is a hiking backpack that my friends make fun of me for. I want to tell her about the teasing but all she'll do is tell me to ignore them and that my ugly hiking backpack us "just fine." Is there anyway that I can convince her that I can buy the new backpack and use it until it falls apart? | Question: Why does my mother hate me so much? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:37 PM PDT I feel like my mother hates me a lot. She never said it but from her actions and looks I feel like it. I know she has high expectations for me because I'm Asian but I try my very best to reach it. I love her very much but she doesn't feel the same way. Sometimes she tells me I spend too much time on the Internet. But I stay there for only about an hour in total in a week. Now I go on it for about once a month. And I'm starting to lose friends that I care about very much. Every time I want to ask a personal question to her, she ignores me or say try to live with it. I try my best to be a good daughter. But all my sisters act worst than me and I'm the least of all her priorities. And since I believe in ghosts, I cried since my sister told me a very scary story. Then my mom called me stupid for believing those things. She also calls me fat and ugly and I hurt my self because of it. She means everything to me be I mean nothing to her. I would give up my life for her but it doesn't work the other way around. She cares about my younger sister and my older sister but not me. Every time they want something I HAVE to give it to them. But I don't get anything. Once when I was ten I ask her for a simple present on my birthday. She called my greedy and hit me.i like to make her gifts but she throws them away. I am in tears writing this. I not writing this because I want people to feel bad for me. I just want to know am I that bad? How do I make her like me? why is she so stressed of me?? |

Question: Is my mum right to ground me for this? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:26 PM PDT My mum has an elephant sculpture my oldest older brother made for her a couple of years ago for her birthday. About 20 minutes ago, my younger older brother (aka the middle child) picked a fight with me for no apparent reason. Well I wasn't fighting anyway. He started being verbal with me. When I said "can you just leave me alone please", he started getting physical with me by throwing me to the floor. When he threw me into the floor, the sculpture that my other brother made for mum broke in half. My brother said, "you're in trouble now" and I said, "excuse me, but this is your fault because you're the one that threw me onto the floor." Our mum came in afterwards and noticed the sculpture was broken. She then looked at me and started shouting at me. She said that I destroyed something that she loved and that I was going to pay for it. I said it wasn't my fault, and that my brother threw me on the floor, which broke it. But mum said I broke it on purpose because I've always been jealous of my brother, which I haven't. My brother then came in and told her the truth, but she still believes it's my fault that it's broken. She then set me to my room and she said I'm grounded for a week starting tomorrow since I'm going to a friend's birthday party in a few minutes. Is my mum right to ground me for this?

Question: My wife cheated on me. Should I beat the sh1t out of her lover? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:16 PM PDT While I searched for something in my wife's phone, I discovered a WhatsApp conversation she had with a guy from her office, and they both sent nude pictures of themselves to each other. The ***** was having an affair with him for months. Once I discovered this, we had a fight and I forced her to leave the house under the threat I would tell her friends and family that she is a cheater and show them the conversation, including the nude pictures (I photographed everything). She is currently living with a friend of hers, whom she told that we had a fight and she needed some alone time. I don't care about that cheap slut, divorce will be a matter of time once I'll calm down enough to be able to see her face again. What does concern me is that asshole who ****** her. I am so mad right now, and I want to direct it all to him. He is very skinny compared to the vast muscles I have, so I can effortlessly hospitalize him. Jesus, I would've kill him if I didn't want to ruin my life because of this piece of trash. I know where he lives, should I beat him up? I feel this is the only thing that would calm down my anger, should I do it? By beating him up I mean to literally beat the living hell out of him, so he would end up in hospital. I am not sure what should I do: protect my pride and face assault charges, or calming down and let him suffer no consquences after he destroyed my family? Answers would be very helpful.
Question: Scared about going on a trip without parents.? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:04 PM PDT So I'm the type who doesn't really like to leave my mum and dad even though I'm 15. I'm going on this trip to a family friends with my cousin who's the same age as me but it's from Thursday to Tuesday and I don't really like to go away for long. I know eventually I'll have to go out on my own and be independent but are there any ways of making it easier to leave my parents behind without feeling anxiety or worry?
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 12:03 PM PDT I'm 17, turning 18 in 2 months and im in a bad home situation. 8 months ago me, my dad, and brother got evicted so now we live with our cousins.. There are 9 of us living in a 4 bedroom house and one of my cousins is pregnant. The reason we got evicted is that my dad WOULD NOT get a job. He never takes responsibility for his actions so I am left to find a job or do anything I can to help with money... I still haven't found a job after countless interviews and follow ups... My cousins are moving in 2 months and if my dad doesn't get a job by then we will be homeless... All I need is advise on what to do? I know my dad wont get a job because he's a lazy procrastinator and all he does all day is play computer games.. He even told me he couldn't but me school supplies and uniforms!... Its my senior year so I dont want to move away.. But I have a friend 2 hours away I could move in with and try to get my life together and start school out there .. Soo... Any advise? Or input on the situation? Any help will be appreciated... I'm just torn on what would be best.
| Question: I have the worst mom ever.? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:59 AM PDT I know I am a good kid I take care of myself everyday my parents never have to do a ting for me because I take care of it myself. I am always sweet and kind to my mom and I always try to please her but she does not get it. I try asking her about her day and she doesn't answer she's too busy on her phone ALL the time! | Question: What are some things really mean, strict religious parents do to their kids? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:58 AM PDT I'm writing a story about a girl who breaks away from her really strict, controlling family. I'm looking for inspiration from real life. What are some things you've heard that really strict religious parents do to their kids? Like ways in which they try and control them and not let them have any fun, or punish them in really evil ways. I already watched "Carrie" for inspiration but I'm looking for more. Anything people have either heard of or experienced themselves. Also are there any further books or movies where I can research this subject further? Thanks, any help would be much appreciated. -James |
Question: My family doesn't call on anyone else but me? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:28 AM PDT Here's the thing, I'm really big on every sibling pulling their weight in the house but my family makes that impossible. I'm 16 going on 17 and my sister is 12. When we were younger (11 and 6) I could understand when my family would only call me to download stuff on the computer, bring them stuff from their rooms, the kitchen, anywhere in the house. But fast forward 5 years, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. In fact it's gotten worst. Here are some examples. 1.My sister will be in the SAME room as my grandma and I'll be in my room upstairs doing something. My grandma will completely disregard the fact that my sister is at her disposal and call ME to come downstairs to get her some bread, bible, water etc. while my sister lounges around. 2. My mom wanted to download an app on her phone. My sister is right NEXT TO HER but calls me from the basement. Keep in mind my sister has had 2 iPods and an iPad and is capable of downloading viber onto a phone. 3. My aunt is new here. If she needs to find something like mosquito repellent, telephone, or how to log on to the Internet. She'll ALWAYS call me 10 out of 10. There's plenty more but there's a limit on characters. It's not like I don't want to do these things. There easy and effortless. My problem is that they will call me even when someone else is there. I have to stop what I'm doing when it's not necessary. It's very frustrating to come up/Down stairs to help with something, just to find your sister on the couch playing w/ iPod unbothered.
Question: Taken advantage of as the babysitter? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:28 AM PDT I watch a 2 year old little boy whom is very well mannered. You couldn't ask for a better child to watch. Well I really needed the money, because my husband is the only one currently working at the moment. I get paid 65.00 each week and a little extra for an occasional weekend although it's not much extra. Here is my problem though with the mother of this child. The father of the child is excellent but it's the mother! (There divorced) So the mother works with my husband, and I know when she has the weekend off. Last weekend she had me watch him from 9am to Midnight.... she went to a rock concert. Instead of spending her day with her child. The father was off for the next 2 days so I didn't have the little boy. Well I explained to her that this particular weekend was MY weekend because my birthday is on Aug 10th on a Monday. So this Saturday ... today I was gonna spend time with the husband and do something fun. And Sunday my parents are throwing me my party seeing as everyone works on my actual birthday. Guess what the mother has the father to drop the little boy off on his way to work. The dad is a honest guy, whom didn't know that I had told the mother no for this weekend. I feel like I'm being walked on. I agreed to an occasional weekend. But I see on Facebook her drinking and party party party! She is just using me on the days she is supposed to have him on the weekends. She always forgets his pull up's and his snacks, and toys, and his spill proof Sippy cup. I only agreed to Monday- Friday to watch him with an occasional Saturday only if she has to work on a Saturday. But she is totally over doing it. For like 4 weeks now.
Question: Do parents really love all their children the same? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:25 AM PDT I feel like my older sister is the favorite... My mom buys her everything, got her a car, doesn't punish her, texts her while she's at work, but to me, she says I have to buy my own car, I have rules, I only get books for birthdays... She says she loves us both the same, but I don't believe her. Thank you :)
Question: Does my dad need a Psychiatrist? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:22 AM PDT I ve been thinking for a while to get a Psychiatrist for my Dad because he loves to start arguments with my Family and criticize us almost every day, He always Insults my Mom and gets away with it, I guarantee nobody will last a Day with my Dad without him Yelling at you or starting an Argument. It s not my Family who needs it, It s my Dad. So do you think he needs a Psychiatrist?
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:21 AM PDT My mom and dad were just fighting right now they were laughing and having a good time yesterday.Just 2 hours ago they were fighting my mom threw things at him and hitting swearing at him calling him every name in the dictionary. So I went in my brothers room and then my little sister closed the door and it got stuck so we were stuck in there about the whole time until they finally unlocked the door and my dad opened it. My mom was crying and told him to leave my house and never come back you have all these children and then you decided to cheat on me and do all this stuff for her. They're still here fighting and he refuses to leave.Me and sister were and are still crying and some of my brothers. He was an awesome dad to me and now he's leaving us.I can't imagine what it'll be like without him.My mom isn't super and can take care of me and my siblings. She just threw water at him and opened the door for him and told us to say bye. Will he come back to see us?
Question: I don't want to go on vacation with my family... do you think that I am being petty? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:20 AM PDT So, I come from a family of 9 children including myself. 4 step brothers, 3 step sisters, and one little half sister. So, basically everyone has the same biological father except me. But that is still my Dad since age 6, just not who I came from. Anyways, we are all going on a trip soon to close out the summer and a few days ago, we were talking about who's going to room with who. My sister and I want to room together. We're both girls and we're the same ago. We have always been close. When I told Dad that I want to room with Krystal, my sister. He says no and that I am going to room with Trina, my older sister because there are only two beds in Krystal's room and she's gonna room with Cat, my other older sister. I told him that I could sleep on the floor and he said 'Why would you sleep on floor when you have your own queen size bed?" Then it got a little heated and I got emotional because I don't want to sleep with Trina. I want to sleep with Krystal. Not anyone else. Then later, my Mom comes to me and she basically yelled in my face to saying, "You and Kris don't need to be together all the time. Give her, her space. In about 3 years she's going to get tired of you so you might as well get used to not being with her all the time and save yourself the heart ache in the future." She said, that we are going to bed in the same building and it makes me look extra by crying. I don't think that anyone understands. I love my sister and I refuse not share a room. Am I being extra?
Question: Why do men rather have daughters then sons? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:15 AM PDT
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:14 AM PDT My parents died years ago and I am very close to my aunt and uncle..they're really family oriented. I have a sister who married years ago and has 4 children. My aunt's daughter (my cousin) lived the single life for years, had a boyfriend but didn't want to settle. My aunt used to say to my sister 'oh you did the right thing and settled down, why can't (my cousin) do the same?' My sister told me this and it got me down as I'm older than any of them and never married or had children. Finally my cousin married and had 2 children and my aunt is delighted. She will often say things to me like 'Oh your sister is marvellous, she's a great girl having 4 children and all that it entails'. My uncle also says things about my cousin 'She's our pride and joy..we raised her to do the right thing'. At the same time she is really good to me..spoils me, but I feel inadequate when I hear these comments. I say things like 'She chose to have those children and she knew all the work involved beforehand'. Does she think I'm a failure for being single and no children at the age of 51?
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:03 AM PDT I come from a tall family. I am a 17 year old girl, but I am only 6'4. I am the shortest in my family, which consists of my parents, me, my two sisters, and one brother. My dad is 7'3", he used to have gigantism as a child, my mom is 6'7", my younger brother is 6'8.5", and my two older sisters are giants. My oldest sister is 7'2", and my other sister is 6'11". I am only like 6'4". My dad's family are all of average height so I guess that affected me a bit unfortunately. All my family constantly call me short and they say I'm a midget. It really makes me self-conscious. Is their anything I can do to look taller? I tried wearing high heels, but my sisters still tower over me and insult me.
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 11:02 AM PDT My dad is a really great guy. He's kind and he's helpful and he always knows how to cheer me up. My mom on the other hand (as much as she is nice) is kind of the opposite when it comes to my family being together. Lately she's been telling my brother and I that my father is trying to "turn us against her" and makes him out to be a bad guy when he really is awesome. She tells him that he's disrespectful to her and that we're (my brother and I) becoming the same way because of my dad. I've tried to talk to my mom about it but she doesn't want to ever discuss my father. Why does my mom act like this? I don't understand at all and I can't seem to fix it. My mom is very sensitive so explaining things to her gets her pissed off.
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 10:53 AM PDT I'm 16 with a two year old son , single parent. I have been trying to force myself to be a great parent for the last two years and I simply have had enough . My family is struggling terribly and even being evicted at the moment . I'm gonna be brutally honest. My son is in a terrible environment. I do not get along with my mom or her boyfriend at all we clash a lot so I am rebellious and leave a lot. I have a lot of issues I still have to solve within myself . I'm trying to stay in school but I've been falling behind on that because I've been trying to keep food in my sons stomach more than anything . I've even resorted to pimps which is an extremely dangerous road to go down. I have been doing anything for some extra cash just to buy any necessities. There isn't even hot water here anymore I've been showering at motel rooms . I don't even know where I'm gonna go , I might have to live with my dad who doesn't care about me either . But my main concern is my son ... I am not equipped to be a mother . Things are too hard. They don't get better. They just get worse and worse. I have to get my baby out of here. Nobody wants to deal with him , nobody . And it's just sad. He doesn't deserve this he needs better , he needs a family who can actually take care of him and love him! I don't want him to get caught into any mess because of me and my damn decisions . I just want him to grow up like a normal happy kid ... Someone please give me some advice someone please help us ...
Question: My 18 year old sister is pregnant and she hasn't told my parents? What should I do? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 10:49 AM PDT I found out that my sister is pregnant because she used my laptop and she was still logged in to her twitter account. She had messaged her friend for advice. She believes that she is 8 weeks pregnant. She didn't tell me either. I am very disappointed and depressed now. She is smart and had a very bright future ahead of her but now she has ruined her future. She was ahead in her college classes and had one year before she could go to nursing school. She doesn't even clean her room, do laundry or cook. She is very lazy with house chores. I can't even imagine her as a mother. It is very terrifying. I'm just sad because she was the ONE that could of had a real college life and just be free. Her boyfriend is a good guy but I'm angry at him too. His mother had him at 16. I guess history repeats itself. I never had to chance to finish school because I had to work extra to help my parents out with bills. My dad is unemployed and my mom makes very little going to make things worse. I'm just mad because she has lost opportunity I wish I could get back. To be 18, free, going to school and enjoying life without any major responsibilities. I'm not selfish at all, I just worried about her. I'm not living my life through her. I'm just very disappointed with her. I'm not asking to be insulted...seriously She told me she didn't use protection with her boyfriend. She was waiting to get a underarm birth control. She has definitely made it harder for herself.

Question: Sister slapped me and I fought back.? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 10:35 AM PDT Okay so this morning I only got a few hours of sleep and my sister woke me up at 8 in the morning by slapping me in the face repeatedly this is the 2nd day in a row she's done this and I got pissed and she's a germaphobe so I got a little bit of spit turned over to where she was while she was slapping me and spitting me and used my teeth to spray my spit at her well then she went and told my parents and since my dad has all the power in this family and he favors my sister I have to do anything my sister says from now on and my dad said that even though she slapped me I should have taken it because I'm a boy. Is this fair?
Question: Should I tell my mom that I gave myself a bruise? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 10:24 AM PDT i dont really know how to release my anger any other type of way so i hit my leg and sometimes my hit. My right (i rarely hit my left) has a bruise and i want it to get bigger. I also want to die. School is starting and i know it's gonna be horrible like seventh and sixth grade PLUS my ratchet *** sister. Anyway, i don't want to tell her because i hate talking to them about everything from feelings to that thing people call a girl.
Question: My Cousin Touched Me? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 10:08 AM PDT I was at my cousin's house in his room. I was standing at the end of his bed on the phone with my dad. Then all of the sudden I could feel my other cousins hands run up and down my hips. He was sitting on the end of the bed. I was facing away from the bed. He has never done that to me before. Im not gonna lie it was kind of relaxing and felt good for someone to hold my hips. The cousin that lived in the house is 14. And the one that was sitting at the end of the bed rubbing my hips was 15. Im 14
Question: My sister's unhappy? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 10:02 AM PDT My sister is 18 and I am 14. We are the closest sister's can get. She has a boyfriend of almost 5 months. This is her first boyfriend btw. He is 17. She constantly needs reassurance from me that he still likes her. She always doubtful. He is always late picking her up. He is a polite guy but immature. She even cries about him sometimes. She never talks to him about problems in their relationship. I know she is unhappy but she doesn't want to except it. She is a very nice person that hates to hurt people's feelings. What do I do? Please help? We are even growing apart because of this.
Question: I feel super short. I am the shortest in my family. What can I do to appear taller? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:56 AM PDT So I come from a tall family. I am 17, but I am only 6'4". I am the shortest in my family, which consists of my parents, me, my two sisters and one brother. My dad is quite tall. He is 7'3". He used to have acromegaly. My mom is 6'7", my younger brother is 6'9", then I have two older sisters who are giants. My oldest sister is 7'2" and my other sister is 6'11". In my dad's family there isn't anyone taller than 6'0. So that's unfortunate for me. Everyone in the family calls me short. It really annoys me. I also feel self-conscious. Is there anything I can do to appear taller?
Question: My parents are fighting? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:41 AM PDT I'm in my room and all of a sudden my mom is screaming at my dad saying I don't want you in my house anymore crying and stuff swearing and everything saying pack your things and leave my house don't come back anymore I'm shaking right now and scared my dad is awesome and I don't want them to get divorced.Theyer still fighting in the room.My room is right in front of theirs so I'm hearing everything they were happy and what not yesterday and now they're fighting. Are they really going to get separated?
Question: I'm not close to my mom at all? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:39 AM PDT I'm 18 and I really wish I had a mom I was close to but I just feel so different from my mom-like she doesn't understand. I know that sounds like a typical thing to say but I've felt like this since I was 13 and it hasn't gone away. I appreciate that she and my dad can buy food and things but I don't feel like our relationship goes past that. She has recently gotten surgeries to look younger and dresses way younger (but she won't admit it) and friends of mine have told me she tries to act like a teenager, and I agree. I feel like she looks at me more as a sister than a daughter, she tries to pick fights and I feel (and have felt since I was younger) that I have to be the mature one, even though she's the adult. If we argue she will NEVER be the one to step up and apologize, she just always holds her nose in the air like she's better than you. At dinner she's always texting the whole time while my dad and I sit there. She takes a TON of selfies as well. She keeps lots of secrets and this also makes me feel like I can't be close to her and it bothers me when she tries to get me to "open up" to her when she can't even be real with me. She doesn't tell me much about her life but then expects me to pour my heart out to her, and when I have in the past she often tried to use my feelings against me in a later argument or she tells someone. I've stopped trying to have real conversations with her, we can talk without arguing but those conversations barely scratch the surface.
Question: Move away to Seattle, or stay here (In a ghost town in West Texas)? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:21 AM PDT So I was explain my situation. I was accepted to a 4 year university in a larger town, but was then forced to change my name once financial aid backfired. It was too late to apply anywhere else but community college. Now, I am someone who had grown up mostly in larger cities... and I absolutely hate where I live. I've become depressed, unmotivated, and filled with more anger here more than anything else.. and all I wanted after graduating was to leave. But now that my opportunity was literally at arms length has gone, I have to go back and think. I quite my job and have nothing here that makes me feel whole. I can either stay here and suck it up and go to CC, or I can go to Seattle where the rest of my family lives. Thing is, my grandmother has cancer... and I'd have to live with her and my grandfather. To be honest I don't want to bother them because of the mess I've gotten into, not to mention how embarrassed I am of the situation. Still, I'd be someplace else that I think would offer me more opportunity and more job options to help me get through. My boyfriend who lives in England (Long distance relationship) thinks I should go and travel to the UK for a while to figure things out and work (I'd make double there)... But I find this unrealistic, not to mention my parents would never allow it. If I stay here, in this town, I wouldn't be able to work. I don't find this place to be a good environment for me. What should I do? Stay? Or Leave? I was forced to change my mind*
Question: Why my family act like this? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:18 AM PDT Everything I do my family come at me heavy but my younger brother smoke weed and he is a minor also pop pills.i do something that's not good for them or benefits them then they wants to fight and talk to me I'm a adult.i mean I believe that they are tryna take advantage toward me since I'm the only child that doesn't have a father my dad has been dead before I was born.i cant trust my mom because my siblings was lying on me and she was trying her best to find something to kick me out.its so sad that I fought my uncle and I guess he think I'm still a kid but it's funny that they all tryna take advantage of me.i see there is envy because my great grandma like me because I'm not like the rest so since my injury I haven't been play basketball and football so now I'm a college student they act toward as a 13 year older what's the problem

Question: How do I turn $1000 dollars into more? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:06 AM PDT My niece and nephew really wants to go to Disney world and have a family vacation but it's so ridiculously expensive. (Their parents have 7 children) I spent $20 on some chocolate that was $1 and told my niece and nephew (both 10) to go sell it for $2. This summer they ended up making $1000 just from going door to door. They have a lot now so I'm trying to think of a way they can turn that money into something bigger...but I can't think of anything. It has to be something that they can do mostly on their own. Any ideas?
Question: How can I incorporate my mother s passing into my senior pictures? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 09:03 AM PDT My mom passed away very sudden about 2 months ago from an allergic reaction from the dye they use in a CT scan. I take my senior pictures this coming week and would love to incorporate her but I m not sure how to.
Question: So "vocation" of the father is to understand how? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 08:53 AM PDT "The father, like Mount Tai Mother like water from flowing out .... " So "vocation" of the father is to understand how? Was it just a baby that is the task has been completed? No, that is not fit to be fathers. "Heavenly officials" of the father as a child growing up who, for the best things possible for me and the pillar of the family should have to shoulder everything, loved his wife and children ... .. Has called "vocation", it means that heaven gave great importance to organizations, if such a father must have for success even greater. Fatherhood is a very happy thing, we seemed very easy, but actually it is not so. Private household chores alone can satisfy frustrated father. A father is none overnight, but it was all his life a process expressed in things like: look after their families, educate their children, build a happy family,

Question: Are all older brothers like this? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 08:31 AM PDT So my sister and I can talk pretty well with one another and we noticed that whenever we talk with our older brother he has an attitude. We noticed that he s very smarmy and opinionated. We also noted that he seems to regard himself as a lot smarter and better than us. Sure he s smarter than us with some things but not that smart. I m better at writing/English and art than he is; just like he s better at math/science. He seems to have a superiority complex because anything that has one flaw, is automatically inferior. For instance if a movie or book has one issue, i.e. little character development or iffy special effects, it's bad to him or poorly made. He also refuses to converse if somebody has an opinion different from his own, and if you call him out on his attitude, he says, "It's just in your head". He's not only said this to me, but to our mother and sister. We had a discussion before about future plans. I plan on going into a writing career and my sister wants to be a teacher. He had the nerve to tell us that we shouldn't do those things. My sister and I are still in high school (we plan on going to college). Our brother is currently enrolled for his 4th year of college. He planned to go into psychology (which was his major for 3 years) but changed his mind and changed his major to biology (still unsure as to what he wants his career to be). Are all older brothers like this? Is this just himself? Please answer.
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 08:30 AM PDT Like for example, if the mother dies, can the child choose to live with their grandparents instead of living with their father? Or would the father have to have custody of the children? Btw I'm only 14 so I don't really understand :/
Question: Did I open my mouth and put my foot in it? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 08:13 AM PDT My wife's mother Amy is beautiful. She is also the best mother in law a guy can have. I just adore her. She is 42 years old and looks 22 and is single. I really hit the jackpot in the mother in law category. We were talking one day and she told me she wanted to get married again. I told her with her good looks, that would not be a problem for her. She would make some guy a trophy wife. There are plenty of guys even guys my age that would jump at the chance to marry her. She said, if you were not married to my daughter, would you be one of those guys. I told her absolutely if I was not married to her daughter, she would be on the top of my list of women I would want to date. There are plenty of guys our age that would like to date her but I AM MARRIED so that is NOT AN OPTION FOR ME. My wife heard what I said, and told me jokingly (I think) I should not be telling her mother I wanted to screw her. She said mom would probably take me up on my offer. I told my wife she misunderstood what I said. I only told her mother the truth to cheer her up. I do NOT WANT TO SCREW HER MOTHER. Gals, did I open my mouth and put my foot in it? Did I do something wrong that I should apologize to my wife for.

Question: Is it bad if me and my brother fight? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 07:41 AM PDT Like before we wouldnt even get pissed off at each other. But now he's changed a lot and we're getting into a lot of arguments. Now if I just pump into him by accident he gets mad and pushes me and I resist punching him in the face because I know I can knock him out. But yesterday we had an argument cus he wanted to take my car out for his girlfreind but his dumb*** couldn't pass the test for the permit but he wanted to take it anyway and he pushed me and I pushed him harder against the wall he threw a punch but missed and I began to headlock him until my stepsister saw and went for my dad and he stopped everything. I don't want things to be like that we used to get along really well. I'm 17 he's 15
Question: Should I allow my sister to do this? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 07:37 AM PDT My daughter is 13. I'm a single dad. She's I guess what you would call a " tomboy". I'm a guy so obviously I brought her up around guy stuff. She knows how to change oil in a car, how to gut a fish, and the details of a 3-4 defense. Anyway, my sister thinks that now, she needs to start doing girly things with her. Good idea?
Question: Was my mom a normal college girl? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 07:18 AM PDT I found out my mom slept with a teacher to pass the term when she was talking to one of her old friends. She was laughing and telling how she spent a night with the teacher. Are these things normal for a college girl? Or my mom wasn't a normal college girl?
Question: Ladies who drive would you do this? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 07:06 AM PDT I will be leaving soon to go visit my daughter for 2 weeks. I have a long 10 hour drive so to be more comfortable I am going to drive in my bare feet and keep my shoes in the back out of the way.
Question: How will my parents get how I actually feel about the divorce? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 07:04 AM PDT My parents have been divorced for almost 5 years now. My mom recently moved out to Georgia with her boyfriend and it s been difficult trying ever since. My Dad is still local but even that s still difficult as well. My parents both grew up in the same country, yet they re even more different than people would imagine. But the problem is that they have completely different mutual friends that it caused them to clash about a lot. They will always constantly tell me that it s all about me instead of them, but sometimes they tend to forget that. Whether it s about finances or school or anything else for that matter, they will be calm and respect each other one minute and the next it s a war because one either doesn t have it or won t have it for a long time. Even recently I sent out a group text message to both of them expressing how I feel about both of their behaviors and once again denial denial denial. They both called to tell me they did nothing wrong and that the text doesn t apply to them. On top of that my moms boyfriend who has nothing to do with it comes in saying that I m being disrespectful when I was doing nothing but express my feelings that no one can tell me how to feel. I m going to start school soon and these days I can t have a normal conversation with my mom without a complete argument or my Dad thinking my mom is being petty. I m 22 years old enough is enough I don t know what to do at this point .
Question: Revenge is a dish best served cold? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 04:48 AM PDT Just moved in with my step sisters and one is a bit into fitness too so we went jogging together. She went in really small shorts and just a sports bra, she has DD cup, so they were bouncing around a lot. I stared a bit while we were jogging and it is a bit hard to do it discreetly while jogging. When we got back I smacked/squeezed her butt hoping she would think it was a "good job" smack but then she pushed me against the wall and kneed my balls twice. I fell to the ground and she reached down and grabbed them. She then asked if i was stairing at her boobs while we were running, i said no and she squeezed a little. She interrogated me this way for about 5 minutes (she brought her sister down to ask questions too). As revenge when she went in the shower I stole her cloths and towel but that backfired when she called her sister and her sister just punched my nuts then grabbed them and moved me downstairs so she could go to her room. She said shes gonna get me for the shower thing, tried wearing a cup but they always go for a grab and squeeze after the hit and squeeze longer if I wear a cup.
Question: Help, what should I do? Do you think she hates me? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 04:46 AM PDT I'm 16, my mom & her friends (elana & Dona) instruct Zumba everyday for about a year. We have a very close family bond. I'm really close with Dona, she's always supported me through everything, celebrated my birthday with me & home coming,. I love her alot, she's always so sweet & loving to me. Recently Dona got frustrated bc she couldn't get the dance moves as quick as mom & elana; she got mad at elana, Dona feels she doesn't deserve to be on stage. She hasn't come to Zumba in 3 weeks, she's over exaggerating everything, we love her so much & have tried everything to get her back. She hasn't been acting herself for a while & no one knows why.. 4 days ago I texted her "just wanted to say I love & miss you so much Dona! Been thinking about you lately, I hope your doing great!" She put "aww love you & miss you too!😘😘😘" (I know she means it because she's a very serious, reserved lady who Is very straight up!) today she wasn't on my Facebook anymore, turns out she blocked me, mom & Elena. Why'd she block me??? She even got her son to block me & it hurt so much.. I cried to mom about it, mom said she's probably going through something & doesn't know how to handle it maturely. Why would she block me? I didn't do anything :( I really wanna text her 1 last time saying "I hope your having a great day Dona! Love & miss you so much!" (I always used to wish her a great day randomly) should I? I miss her & it really makes me sick..
Question: My parents took my phone but I need it? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 04:41 AM PDT First if all. I'm 16, just to point that out. Okay, so,.. this morning my parents weren't at home. I never set alarm to wake up in summer, and usually my parents wake me up. My phone was on silent.. (because I get a lot of notifications and they are vibrating or they are so loud, and that annoys me) ...And I put the phone in the living room. At about 1pm, My dad angry entered in my room, and yelled, then took my phone. The worst part is, my cousin from the other side of the world, who is coming once in 3 years, was sleeping next to me, and she laughed after my dad left my room. Also, tonight I'm going out with a lot of friends, and they will all bring their phones.. And I don't know what to say when they ask me why I don't bring my phone! (I always bring it, everywhere, even at school) + my dad might open my texts, and I have messages with my boyfriend (they have no idea that I have boyfriend) What should I do? *I forgot to say that my dad was angry, because he was calling me on my phone to wake up, but neither me or my cousin heard It.
Question: Help I m 17 have no job no money and I m being kicked out? Posted: 08 Aug 2015 04:34 AM PDT I need some advice I m just getting kicked out by my uncle because he caught me high on weed he told me I have 3 hours to leave I have no job no money saved no close relatives nearby or a place to stay what should I do I live in Washington and my family is all in Mexico
Posted: 08 Aug 2015 04:07 AM PDT So, I have 2 shoes that I switch and wear right now. One is just a casual shoe and the other is a semi-formal black shoe. I also have 2 winter shoes. Since a couple of weeks my parents every weekend insist that we go and buy new shoes, however I don't think I need a new pair and I don't like to go shopping so I don't want to go, but they keep insisting and after a while I can't say no because I feel bad, so I just leave to my room without saying anything (like now). I don't understand why they care so much about little things like these. Yes, the casual shoe is a bit worn out but I don't feel uncomfortable in them enough to go shopping and buy new ones. Pretty much everyone at this age just goes to buy new things when they need to and their parents don't care, so I never understand why my parents care about every little thing about me. If I feel like i need new shoes, I will go buy new shoes after school or something. But right now I don't feel like I need new ones. This isn't only about shoes ofc, they usually just look at every single thing I do and criticize or feel the need to interfere because "I'm doing it wrong", but usually it's the way I've decided to do it. (Sometimes I do things wrong but I know them and want to solve them myself) Anyway I'm not gonna rant further but I think I need some opinions of others. Am I stuck at being a whiny kid at age of 18 or do my parents care too much about me? What is it like with everyone else here?
