Posted: 04 May 2015 09:02 PM PDT I have been married to my husband for almost 3 years now. We have a 2 year old toddler. I can't deal with him anymore. Every little thing I do angers him and he has no patience at all! He admitted once that he hates it when people are slow and I know I am not the fastest at doing things. The thing is sometimes he slaps me or hits me on my head when we have an argument. I am not working currently. He bought a car but he uses it, I never use it because I never ask because he always gets mad for everything so I got used to not asking him for anything. We live with his parents so that's even more stressing. I really want a job but I'm having a very hard time finding one. I can only work 4pm-10pm everyday because that's my schedule. Husband goes in at 5am until 2 pm so I would like to leave our toddler with him when I go to work(I have no one else to leave her with.) And I don't trust babysitters and my toddler has separation anxiety so she wont stay with a stranger. The thing is I cannot take this anymore I want to leave him but I want to take my toddler with me. I need adive in what to do because I am so sad and depressed. I really want to study but he brings me down about it so I have no support. |

Question: Am I being an idiot? Posted: 04 May 2015 08:15 PM PDT A guy and I connected on Match. We ve been texting and calling since Feb. He owns a small business, lives with his Mother and lives about 1 hour from me. We always try to make plans but either we re too tired or something comes up for more than 3 months now. One thing I notice that in all this time, he has called me maybe 3 - 5 times after he gets out of work. He only really calls me during the day when he s at his office. I told him in early March I need someone single and a guy who can t call me at night is not available to date. He says when he gets home, he s either really tired or has to help his Mother or work on business stuff. Just to sum it up, we talked a couple minutes on the phone today. Since it was such a quick talk, I asked him to give me a call tonight, and he said OK. And about an hour ago, he only sent me a text saying "good night". This happens quite often, sending good night texts rather than calling and saying good night. Am I being an idiot? |

Question: Why is my friend mad her abusive husband left her? Posted: 04 May 2015 07:39 PM PDT My friend was married for 10+ years to a guy who abused her physically and mentally. It was common knowledge to everyone who knew them and we saw the bruises and his very controlling behavior. Three years ago he left her for another woman. My friend became very bitter. She never got angry about the abuse but only the fact he left her, and that he got a lot of money in the divorce. Why would she be happy she isnt living in fear anymore I don't understand |
Posted: 04 May 2015 07:32 PM PDT Just as the question states, my ex-wife moved out back in 2011 and we finally divorced last year. In fact, I'm certain she moved out of state since 2011. The electric bill was in her name, but I never changed it to my name and simply left it in her name to maintain the status quo. In fact, she even knew I was continuing to pay it in her name, but she was perfectly fine with that. The tricky part is the electric company doesn't know that we're divorced. So the question is: If my ex knows I've gone on paying the bill in her name rather than transfer it into my name, the bill has consistently been paid on time ever since, and there's been essentially no other issues, would the company itself have any problems if they knew I had been paying it in my ex's name? Or wouldn't they care, so long as someone has been paying it? I have to move within a month and I'm thinking I may just close the account and then reopen it from scratch in my name. I don't want to transfer it. |
Question: Spouse upset I go to gym? Posted: 04 May 2015 06:55 PM PDT I like to stay fit and am passionate about starting to body build some. but every time I go to gym my husband get upset he want me to stay home.I usually go when the kids aren't here so he doesn't have to watch them I ask him all the time to come with me and he refuses. what is going on with him. I told him to take that time and do something for his self but he'd rather me be here at home. |
Question: My son doesn't want to live with me because of stepfather? Posted: 04 May 2015 06:54 PM PDT I have a 15 year old son. His father and I never married but we co-parent alright since we broke up when my son was 7. We're supposed to have 50/50 custody but my son has refused to stay with me for awhile. His dad encourages him to see me on the weekends but he refuses to come over if my husband is around. My son and my husband DO NOT get along. I try to honor his requests and take him out to dinner but then my husband gets mad for caving into him. This has caused a lot of problems with my husband to the point I fear we are on the verge of divorce. My son is still very angry at me as he feels I chose my husband over him. We have been going to family counseling but even the counselor said it is best that my son lives with his dad. My husband thinks my son is manipulating and blackmailing me to get him out of my life. I'm really hurt. I want to make everyone happy, I love my husband and son and I hate having to choose between them and I feel like I royally screwed and am a bad mother for trying to be happy. Sorry this is more a vent than a question but any advice is appreciated. |

Question: How do i invite a coworker to motel room to watch a movie? Posted: 04 May 2015 06:15 PM PDT So I just moved into a new city and started a new job. This coworker is cute and friendly and we discovered we have the same taste in films. I wanted to ask her to join me for a viewing but there are two problems. I am married (my wife won't join me for another 2 months) and I am living temporarily in a motel, where the movie would be viewed. The woman knows I'm married. How should I approach the invitation? |
Question: Is marriage becoming irrelevant in today's society? Posted: 04 May 2015 05:38 PM PDT It seems like today's society is teaching everyone to have a "Twitter attention span"...meaning that you have to update your life by the second to make another person interested. That doesn't seem like it's telling our youth to focus on commitment....in fact it's doing the complete opposite! And while I don't necessarily like the Twitter/Facebook generation, I do find that marriage is becoming outdated. Do you see where I'm coming from? |
Question: Can I sell my car before a divorce? Posted: 04 May 2015 05:34 PM PDT I have split with my wife and she moved out (living back home out of the country). We have yet to start divorce proceedings because she refuses the divorce. I plan on starting them soon. Everything that was purchased was in my name but we have a car that was purchased for her during marriage (only in my name). I am about 7k upside down on the car and want out from under it. I would either sell it outright and take a loan out to pay the difference or trade it in on a car I can use for work. I will make no money on the car. I was told I need her written consent but I am not sure why. She gave me verbal consent but won t send me a written letter. What can I do? Thanks. |
Question: What do I need to do to custody of a child? Posted: 04 May 2015 04:26 PM PDT My fiancé s parents fooled her into giving them custody of her little girl when she was 17. Question: Husband is being a jerk? Posted: 04 May 2015 04:03 PM PDT Last month he bought a huge house for his parents - without my permission. Ask a result now my allowance is slashed to half what it used to be. He even had the audacity to tell me to look for a job if I want to buy more handbags and clothes. Who is he to tell me what I can and cannot buy? Could this be the early symptoms of domestic abuse? What can I do? |
Question: What should I get my fiancee as a wedding present? Posted: 04 May 2015 03:36 PM PDT Hi! I'm very lucky to be getting married in a month to a man I love and adore. Although he's my best friend and we know all about each other I have no idea what to get him as a wedding present! I was thinking something sports related. He loves golf and baseball. I want this gift to really blow his socks off. Something thats out of the box. A gift thats unique and shows I spent time looking for it.( I make 600k a year so money isn't an issue) Thanks so much! |
Question: Not changing name after marriage...? Posted: 04 May 2015 03:33 PM PDT Do I still need to Notifiy the social security office I'm married or just file my taxes as married without notifying anyone since I'm not changing my name? |
Question: Am I right to actively avoid this girl in attracted to die to my age? Posted: 04 May 2015 03:32 PM PDT I'm 33 never had a girlfriend in my entire life hahaha. Athletic and been so my entire life. I'm just very shy around the "girls I like". For awhile, I saw this girl at my gym. I didn't stare at her like some creep. Just noticed her innocently. She was training with her friend who was pretty too but I had my eye on her. Then one day, she came up to ask me something about if some water bottle was hers or mine. Now it was obvious it was hers and she was giggling. . She left it by the machine a machine away from where I was. Not too close. She caught me off guard as she was the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. She gotta be early 20's too. Im still into prime women. all I did was shake my head no and went back to my thing. She is physically perfect. The next day, she was walking past me as I was heading into the building. I got that feeling I was being looked at and in the very corner of my eye I could tell she look irritated. Why? She gets attention from dudes her age. Recently, i went to walk past to a curl station and she must have seen me in the mirror walking by and looked over her should. On e again I saw her in the corner of my eye. A little after that she came near to put weights away. She could have done that elsewhere and she still looks at me. Y I choke up when she is near and keep to myself extremely. I'm finishing college and money poor too. That's a no no for a man my age and that makes me permanently undateable. She might have a dude. I dunno. |

She wants to be able to retain ownership of the house if we have a divorce and we are wondering how to make that happen. It will only be her name on the loan and she is paying the down payment, i will be contributing "rent" every month to the house payments. Will a post-nup allow her to retain single ownership of the house? ment to say post-nup |

Question: Did you have reservations when you married your husband or wife? Posted: 04 May 2015 02:20 PM PDT The reason why I ask is my friend that she felt pressured to marry her husband. The guy isabout 30 years older than her. Everyone in her family was against it (including her friends) because she was really young (24). However, she said that she felt pressured to go through the ceremony because everything was all set up. They've only been dating for 2 months when the guy proposed. I mainly see that she married him because he has a fat bank account. But with 3 children later, there's gotta be love there. It seems she's not alone. Several of my friends said they had reservations after they said yes. Some are just pet peeves... But another friend said it was just not the same after the proposal. Did you have reservations when you married your spouse? |

Question: Which went first in your marriage: The sex appeal or the sex? Posted: 04 May 2015 01:39 PM PDT In my marriage, the sex appeal went first and the sex fizzled away since I had no reason to go after her any more. She told me she wants sex but she doesn't want to do any of the work including looking sexy to be deserving of it. I told her that I want her to make me a sandwich but I don't want to spend the money on the bread, meat, vegetables, or condiments. She didn't like that metaphor... @ Katie --- Now, tell me why you DESERVE to be unblocked? Your answers are STILL annoying. |

Question: Why do wives get frumpy? How can a husband motivate a frumpy wife to STOP being frumpy? Posted: 04 May 2015 12:07 PM PDT We both aren't overweight by much, but we both are overweight based on our BMI. The real reason we are is because we eat full meals but we don't do full workouts (we are office workers and we are addicted to electronics when home). But being overweight isn't the problem I'm having, the problem I'm having is that my wife has let her persona go and I'm not attracted to her any more. And she isn't attracted to me any more because she took my "bad boy" persona and she made me become a "good boy" and now she isn't attracted to me any more (found that out this weekend). When I first met her in 2001, I was attracted to her because of her personality but also because of her feminine look. She had curled bangs, she wore makeup, she stayed thin, and she had good complexion. Yes, she was still a teen then, but it was something I kind of expected to evolve over time; not devolve and become way below anyone's baseline. I know this isn't unusual, but this is very frustrating. She and I both recently agreed that sex IS important and so is romance, but my wife had a confession is she doesn't want to do ANY of the work (she wants me to be in control and be the leader). I told her that if she just meets the feminine minimums then I will have my hormones all fired up again, but she's reluctant to and says looking nice is too much work. Laziness. Especially if I have to do all the physical and emotional work. My wife feels no obligation to look her best and to "dress to impress". Now what? By the way, if you hate on me for wanting my wife to be attractive I am going to ignore your answer. I love my wife and I give her companionship unconditionally; but romance and sex take work, and if she refuses to do ANYTHING then the least she can do is put on mascara, lip gloss, put her hair in a ponytail, and NOT wear cartoon t-shirts with pajama pants... I want to have sex and romantic dinners with a woman, not a teenager. By the way, if you hate on me for wanting my wife to be attractive I am going to ignore your answer. I want to have sex and romantic dinners with a woman, not a teenager. Not sure why it sent that last update twice..... Anyways, we both work full time at the same office, but I give her time to go get her nails, hair, tanning, clothes, whatever. But she isn't playing the "woman" game. And that's fine, except there is a baseline upkeep for people who were raised middle class. She was raised low class so this makes sense she wouldn't understand it, but there's just some things you HAVE to do to stay within your class. Now she's frumpy and a downgrade to me... @ Katie - I need the unblock returned too remember. Can't best answer you ever if you keep me blocked. @ Katie - It's actually pointless to answer my questions if you don't unblock me. I can't interact with you at all. Figure it out and unblock me. |

Question: Should I wait till I'm married? Posted: 04 May 2015 10:48 AM PDT I'm 17 and still trying to make up my mind. It's not just for religious reasons, I think everyone is different but I honestly feel like I shouldn't have sex until marriage, mainly because I am very sensitive and get attached to anyone that I am romantic with. People tell me that I need to have experience before, but I know a few people who waited till they were married and are still happily married. I don't think sex is the only thing that makes a marriage, but being best friends with your spouse does. What is your all's opinion on the subject? I'm not saying I wouldn't do anything before marriage, but I think intercourse should be saved for marriage in my case. I know some people will say you don't know if you are sexually compatible, but I'm sure if you really love someone and had played around with them a little, you would know you were attracted to each other. Please be understanding with your answers. I'm trying to figure this out myself. |

Question: Stay at home wife questions? Posted: 04 May 2015 10:33 AM PDT So im 35 and about 2 years I lost my job and my husband makes a ton of money so he told me don't worry about finding another job. So I started doing projects around the house going to lunch with friends and stuff like that. We don't have any kids right now so I have a lot of time to myself while my husband is at work. Im not sure what made me realize it a while back but I did and I kinda started wonder if other housewives or homemakers witch ever name you prefer lol have had the same thing happen. probably 3 or 4 weeks ago I noticed that I masturbate way more then I have at any point in my life even more then when I was teenager. the more I think about I think I maybe do it just out of boredom. Since there is no one else there a lot of times when I'm home in just in panties so its easy to do and i think I do it without really thinking about it because it's so easy to do not wearing much clothes and being home alone so I can just do it when ever and where ever. I know that was kinda long winded but I'm just curious if any others have had the same kinda thing happen to them? |

Question: GENDER STUDIES: AS A WOMAN IF YOU ARE A WOMAN PLEASE ANSWER THIS HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?? Posted: 04 May 2015 09:42 AM PDT I was married a few weeks ago and as a present to me my husband revealed that years ago after he lost his job he had a lot of free time on his hands and he wanted to write to his future spouse. Basically like what marriage meant to him and how much he knew he would love me some day. Some days he included movies he wanted to watch with me, articles on marriage, love poems etc. He said he made the crazy promise that he would always send something once a day until he found me and he always did. he sais he hoped it would represent his undying love for me and that he never gave up looking for me. He also had friends that had been married and divorced and he realized that in writing to me how important I was and that if he ever were to forget or if we ever hit a rough patch this would remind me what its really all about. I was very shocked and happy that he did this. I was just curious if any other husbands had done this for their wife and even if not how would you feel? |
Question: I want a 5th child but husband says no!? Posted: 04 May 2015 09:35 AM PDT Me and my husband have been together for 4 years. We got pregnant when we first had sex and got married. We've had 3 more beautiful since then with a total of 3 boys and 1 girl. Well I want another girl really really bad but my husband is telling me he thinks 4 kids is enough! I feel devastated. Although he works as a janitor for the local factory, I know he's trying his hardest to keep us afloat. We recieve goverment assistance and food stamps to also lend a hand to our wonderful growing family. We have such amazing children! I can't see why he wants to stop a perfectly growing family. He works while I take care of the children so we don't have to pay expensive day care. But how can he possibly not want to keep our beautiful family blossiming is beyond me. I am beyond hurt and devastated. Maybe time is what he needs to come around to our 5th child? What do you think? My question is real, how am I trying to get a rise out of people I don't understand? I didn't say anything offensive or degrading? I'm confused how this is trying to upset people. I am the one who is upset! I know that 4 kids is plenty, but I really want my daughter to have a sister so that she can have friends like the boys have. |

Posted: 04 May 2015 08:12 AM PDT Let's pretend they both looked/acted the same way and they both were still billionaires, but they decided they wanted to go into psychology and social work for some odd reason. Since they both have the same power/status, and the only thing that separates them is their morals/beliefs about how they carry themselves, which would you trust more? Polls & Survey aren't married. I'm asking Marriage & Divorce. Do not move this question, it is a valid question to ask someone in this section since it is about marriage and getting counseling before a divorce. *********ASSUME THEY RECEIVED THE 12 YEAR EDUCATION BUT NEVER CHANGED THEIR APPEARANCE OR MORALS**************** |
Question: Fiancee went to a casino by himself? Posted: 04 May 2015 08:08 AM PDT So he had a convention in another city an hour away for work from 9-5 on saturday, and afterwards he was going to go home and watch the boxing fight on tv. But he didn't call me that night and when i talked to him yesterday he said that there was a casino on his way home so he went in their sports bar to watch the game. Afterwards he played some poker (he loves poker) and came home around 1am, then watched a movie and slept at 5am.... This makes me extremely uncomfortable. What should I tell him?? He says well at least i tell you about it i couldn't not, but that doesn't make what he did right. Plus how do I trust he wasn't at the casino until 5am?? Am i overreacting or is this normal? :( please help! thank you! i just feel like this is not a way to act for a guy that's engaged. To be out in the casino's until 1am...or whenever |
Posted: 04 May 2015 08:03 AM PDT I am trying to see the Brightside of things but it is hard when I have children who are lazy. I am newly married and there are very irritating character flaws in my new step children. They are not disrespectful or not even disobedient. They are lazy though and can not remember to do what they are told to do or they do the task long after I have told them 3 to, 8 times. The drama with my spouses criminal relatives is another reason I wish I had stayed single sometimes. Life is not perfect and I am sure God has been disappointed in me MANY times. |

Question: Did I do something wrong with my ex wife? Posted: 04 May 2015 06:28 AM PDT I am divorced but my ex wife and I are still on friendly terms. She calls me from time to time, for advice on her investments. I got a call from her current husband that he did not want me talking to her ever again. I tried to explain to him that she called me. I did not call her EVER. To make sure I didn't talk to her again he said he would forbid her from calling me. Knowing my ex wife as I do, I knew he was going to be in big trouble for forbidding her from doing anything. It turns out he was in more trouble than I thought. She kicked him out of her house and off of her bank account and is filing for divorce. He called me and was mad I didn't warn him she would do that. I told him his relations with his wife were none of my business and I was not going to get involved and not to call me again about his soon to be ex wife and his problems. I then got a call from my ex wife asking me to join her for dinner to celebrate her getting rid of her controlling freak jerk of a husband. Should I go to dinner with her and try to make her feel better about her problems. Gals, I would really like your thoughts on this. Did I do something wrong by not warning her husband what might happen to him? |

Question: Ex asked me to marry him..WT? Posted: 04 May 2015 05:45 AM PDT 3 yrs ago I left my emotionally absent husband. I tried everything to reach him but he refused counseling and overtime the negativity go the better of me. He was angry and critical of everything & everyone & eventually I couldn't take it anymore. I never stopped caring about him & for the sake of the kids we remain friends. Legally we are required to settle things financially but he has ignored every letter from my lawyer so I now have to file in court. Despite all this we are 'friendly' and attend things such as parent/teacher interviews or kids sport together. Last week he asked me to meet him for lunch. I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about things... instead he tells me .."I have been seeing a counselor & I love you and want us to be together again..I want to marry you"...WT? I was totally blown away! I can't help but think the timing with me lodging court papers is a little 'strange'.. BUT he seems sincere... Why is he doing this? I really don't think I can go back.. it has taken me a long time but I am finally happy .. yes.. I am lonely and the idea of someone wanting to take me out & loving me is appealing..but it just doesn't feel real. My ex was always very financially controlling ..a friend suggested we still do the financial settlement so that if nothing else, I have independence... HELP.... If he had come to me 3 years ago & said he was going to counseling etc I would have been thrilled..but WHY now? I finally got him to agree to attend counseling last year...but he would only go if I went (eg 'couples counseling' - not individual therapy) We went every week for 6 months.. (I live 90 mins from him... so every week I drove for 3 hours to attend counseling so he would go)...even after all this & even when the counselor suggested he come by himself he maintained it was me with the issues & he "was fine"! |
