Question: How do I deal with being alone at school? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:56 PM PDT I use to have a lot of friend, but then they decided they all hate me and my best friend, and pretty much all ignore me now, so all I have is my best friend. She's sick of course so tomorrow I have to go to school and she said she's not going and I'm scared. She's in 3/4 of my classes, and she's the ONLY person besides the teachers that talk to me now. I'm a loser, and I have depression and anxiety and I'm not taking this well right now and idk what to do because we sit in the foyer of the school alone at break and I'm not sitting there alone, but I don't know what to do right now please any suggestions ? Don't be rude please Btw all the other people in my classes. Either hate me or are ex-friend that have started rumours about me, and I'm in high school to |
Question: How do I make friends? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:54 PM PDT I'm in high school and I'm pretty out going. People would call me loud. I don't anyone at my current school because they are all think it's cool to call themselves ****** and bitches. I hate this but it's everywhere. I have a good friend but I want more friends. I'm thinking about going to new places but I don't know how to interact with people and make a good impression. Any help? |
Question: My boyfriend won t understand.? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:54 PM PDT So along time ago I did something because all my friends did and I hate myself for it. They cut them selfs so being as stupid as I am I did it to. They faded a lot and aren t super noticeable. By yesterday I sat in a car with him and his friends and they all talked about how they thought it was weird and didn t get it they made fun of it and the people they knew who did it. I sat there and thought what happens if some how he can see them and asked what they are. ( because I feel comfortable wearing short sleeves because they are hard to see unless I m in direct sunlight). What do I tell him what happens if he sees them and breaks up with me? |

Question: People make fun of me for my skinny fingers? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:50 PM PDT I have extremely long, skinny, and boney fingers. People cal me things like "skeleton hands" all the time. I get made fun of for them from my friends, and even my crush. My friend told me to wear gloves because my hands were "freaking her out". It hurts when they make fun of me and I don't know what to do about it. I have explained to them that there is nothing I can do about it and they don't care. I am not anorexic, nor do i have any other eating disorders, I'm just naturally thin. Should I start telling people that I have some kind of disorder? It just hurts that they say things like that to me. Maybe I'm just overreacting but it happens constantly. Any help appreciated, thanks! |
Question: How do I suggest that I want to have a sleepover with someone? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:49 PM PDT i haven't known this girl for long and I really want to get to know her and become friends.. I mentioned meeting up at Busch gardens this weekend and she said that we can.. I want to be friends with her but I also don't want it to just be her and I because that would be extremely awkward so I want to ask her if we can have a sleepover but with other people too.. And I can't have it at my house.. And I just feel uncomfortable asking because I am a timid and shy person and it's hard for me to open up to people but once you get to know me I'm loud and energetic |
Question: Should I tell someone about my friend s bulimia? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:48 PM PDT I have known for about two weeks that my friend has bulimia. She told me and two other people about it, so we could support her. She said that she would go to treatment, but her parents would kill her if they found out. I know that many people will say like "oh they wouldn t do that if they found out" but I know them and they definitely would. Her bulimia has been getting worse lately to the point that most of the time she cannot keep any of her food down at all. Her throat is also always hurting. She also has bad emotional problems, which were probably the cause of this eating disorder in the first place. Most of the time she seems fine and happy, but sometimes she completely breaks down. Just this past Friday she started sobbing and saying that she wanted to die. I don t know whether I should tell someone about this or not. It is getting to the point that it is very dangerous for her, but it also might be worse if I do tell. She told me once that she would never forgive me if I told, but I feel like I m obligated to as a friend. Should I tell, and therefore ensure that I am losing her as a friend, or should I wait until it gets really bad so we can stay friends as long as possible? Serious answers only please. This has been troubling me a lot lately. |

Question: How to have awesome fun at home alone? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:47 PM PDT Okay, so I'm staying home from school tomorrow due to the election. None of my friends can hang out. I can t drive, but I want to have an awesome day tomorrow/tonight. Im not sure my parents would mind very much, as long as I ddon't do anything too wild, crazy, dangerous. Suggestions/ideas? This is sort of off subject and will sound incredibly stupid, but I m the kind of person that wants to be awesome in general, but not stupid. I want to go on cool, but not potentially dangerous adventures. Ideas? |
Question: They left me out? :( (BEST ANAWER= 10 POINTS)? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:36 PM PDT So I have three close friends and we usually hang out together as a group. I sometimes hang out with one of them on some days and the other on another day. Last week I asked if one of them wanted to hang out but she told me her whole week was busy. Then finally this week came and I saw pictures of them hanging out. I was offended they didn't bother inviting me. Like recently, they started to hang out without inviting me. I'm someone who has a lot of friends but it still bothers me. What to do? |
Question: What should I do in this situation? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:34 PM PDT Last year, I had a friend who would always talk to me a lot. (I'm a guy btw) but then he stopped talking to me and he didn't give me a reason at the time. 11 months later, he explained to me why he stopped talking to me, it was because his ex girlfriend (who was also my friend) she would always be around him and when she was around him he couldn't talk to me, we became friends again, but during that time he stopped talking to me, it made me feel horrible because none of my friends ever did that to me. It caused me a lot of (emotional) pain. Now I don't know what to do now. He's been wondering why I haven't been talking to him after he explained to me what happened. (We're NOT gay) Should I let bygones be bygones and starting to him again, or should I just never talk to him again? What would you do? |

Question: My friend betrayed me? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:23 PM PDT I've bonded with my friend 8 months. We was quite close . I was telling her about my abusive boyfriend because I thought I could trust her, she was saying to me I could come to hers if I had any trouble of him which she did let me but on Friday when I came to hers, my boyfriend rang me and he was on loud speaker. I admit I was winding him up on the phone but my friend was recording me on her phone and she was telling everybody about it. |
Question: Why did he stop texting me? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:22 PM PDT So my best friend has been acting really weird. He usually tells me everything but recently he stopped texting me. We used to talk all the time. About a year now we've talked almost everyday. But in the last month he just stopped. I will text him hey and he doesn't respond. He's 13. Please help. Is it something I couldv'e done? Any ideas of what could be going on with him? I'm worried about him. It would be terrible if something was happening to him. I just want to be able to be there for him. |
Question: What to say next time? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:20 PM PDT okay so here's the deal. there are these group of guys who always talk **** about me and my friend and think it's funny on the bus. so after scholl today I got into a big argument with one of them. Question: Am I a good or bad boyfriend?? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:11 PM PDT I've done sh!t wrong in the past like a lot of people by being abit controlling but I'm changing that now. I love my girlfriend tons and I am protective of her. Someone was harassing her and I stood up for her over it and told the person to stay away. I went to the station with her to make a statement. I don't want anyone being nasty to her. I'm not possessive or clingy |

Question: Should She Stay Or Go? Posted: 18 May 2015 04:03 PM PDT My best friend is being a jerk as of late and says it's all my fault. She even thought I was trying to steal her crush, and I don't even know him,and wrote me a mean text, part of it said "It's sad that you can't even tell your best friend things ",thinking that I honestly like him.She has barely even talked to our other best friend, for unknown reasons, and when she does it's with aggression. And she says that I'm the most amazing person and that I mean a lot but she went and started talking behind my back and basically called me a whore. We always end up making up, but that doesn't mean anything. She always has something bad to say about me every day,and it keeps coming from other people's mouths, when I just want her to say it to my face, and not when I walk away.I have been friends with her for a while and I really enjoy her company, but the way she's been acting is really throwing me off. What should I do? |
Question: My friend invited too many people to our plans? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:57 PM PDT Another friend and I decided to make plans and include this friend to go to a fair. We each decided it was ok if we met up with a few other friends. So we both invited a mutual friend of ours and I invited one person and my friend was going to invite some of his friends. Our mutual friend asked to invite "a few" people so I said sure why not? But I didn't know that a few meant 16 other people! Now I'm usually ok with inviting a lot of people but I feel like it will take forever to go on rides and that we will split up and that we won't get to spend any time with her. Not to mention we are her ride there and back. By a few people I thought she meant 2-4 people. I only know 5 of the people she is inviting and my other friend who made the plans knows none of them. |
Question: Is it weird to have "diverse" friends? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:50 PM PDT I saw someone call a celebrtity a drag because she had "diverse" friends. I make friends from many different social groups, and some are really different from others. Also, I don't really have a particular group I hang out with outside of school. Do people usually judge you because of this? |

Question: A guy said I have a big butt? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:32 PM PDT Today at school one of my guy-friends was singing Mary Had A Little Lamb (my name is Mary so people sing this all the time around me) but instead of saying "had a little lamb", he said "has a big fat butt". I know this is probably a stupid question but, is that a good thing or a bad thing? |
Question: Is it creepy to talk to kids? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:28 PM PDT I'm 16, I'm autisitc, and I'm male. I've learned alot of coping skills to deal with my autism, and have learned alot of social skills, but I still have HUGE trouble making friends with teenage guys and girls. I like talking either to young adults, who are nice to me and treat me like a little brother, and kids, who are less uptight and who I feel more comfortable around. There's going to be a ramadan program at my istanbul center for 29 days, so every night for 29 days we eat there to break our fast, and i wanna talk to the kids, but i don't know if this is appropriate and im worried my mom won't let me because she'll think im going to act creepy or be a pedo or something. My aunt also yells at me when she hears about me talking to a kid, saying I need to spend time with peers. |

I want it to be fun so do like a costume kinda thing maybe some actual good ones idk. I guess it sounds more like a Photo Booth thing. Question: Need Advice on a Friendship? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:12 PM PDT I believe I have lost my best friend, and i'm not sure why. My best friend and i used to talk all the time, in school, over text/snapchat,you name it, and we would always hang out. I make friends slowly, and don't open up very easily, so losing a friend naturally hits me hard. With this being said, i felt a really deep connection with this friend, and honestly thought we would be friends for life. We both have our flaws, but we complemented each other nicely, it was always fun being around her, and i could tell her anything. A week ago everything changed, she stopped texting me. saying "her phone no was having issues" and she stopped starting conversations with me or even sitting by me in class. Shes civil when we are talking with our mutual friends, but you can tell things have changed. The worst part is, i don't know why! I fb messaged her (bc her phone "doesn't work-- even though she has texted our mutual friends back) and asked her what was up and if she was bad, she read it and didn't respond. What do i do? im hurt. |

Question: How to make good connections with people, and feel "wanted"? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:04 PM PDT I'm trying to get better at talking to people and making deeper connections. It's hard for me to make those deep connections, to move beyond just "acquaintances", or "just in the same friend group". I feel like this is important for me to make better friends and be better at talking to girls as well. When I say "acquaintances", I mean someone you can talk to about simple stuff, like the day, weekend plans, etc. When I say "good friends", or "being close", I mean someone that WANTS to tell you about what's going on in their life, invite you to hang out with them doing cool things on the weekends, that you feel really comfortable around, making stupid conversation and laughing about it because you don't feel judged, coming to you for help with stuff. I see others doing this stuff with other people, but never with me. I feel like I 'interrogate' people a lot, asking too many questions, and they don't respond with the same level of enthusiasm and detail as other friends. I just feel like an outsider a lot of the time, because it feels like people don't necessarily "want" me there, or really care if I'm not there. That's it, I just don't feel "wanted". I also know this important for building relationships with girls, which is why I care a lot about this. I miss my old friends that I met in college because I never felt self-conscious around them. I feel understanding how this "friend process" occurs can help me with this idea of "feeling wanted". Any ideas |

Question: My friend broke my phone and refuses to pay me back? Posted: 18 May 2015 03:03 PM PDT Today me and a bunch of friends were at the park, just kidding around and talking about random stuff. I asked her to hold my phone in her pocket because my jeans didn't have bihg enough pockets (it's a Samsung Galaxy S3). When i wasn't looking, she put it on a rock faced down and then layed on it (she's kinda big). The phone cracked in half. Note: I'm 13 with no form of job. My family isn't doing well, so we only have enough money to pay the bills, rent, and put food on the table. Also, she's been my best friend for 3 years. I need a phone so i can contact my Mom, what do i do? How do i earn money since my friend says she won't pay me back? Please help She knows my family can't pay for it. Question: My teacher asked me and my friend where we lived? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:55 PM PDT So me and my friend were talking and she said that she knew where I lived now and I was like yeah, I do live there and we kept talking, yada yada, and then our teacher was like "cool, now where do you live" and he pointed at my friend. This scares me because he was going into detail like "east or west side" and all kinds of stuff. I don't think I have to go to his class much this week because of finals and the last week of school, but I'm scared. What should I do? |
Question: Why does everyone leave? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:53 PM PDT I use to be bestfriends with a girl until she made a new friend. She was always busy with that friend and in fact my friend turned into the girl. Question: Is it so wrong to be happy and good?! Please answer?!? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:41 PM PDT I recently got criticised for the way I am. My friend said she thought I live in a fantasy world of my own because I see the good side to everyone and everything, I don't see the "real" bad aspects to people and situation. But that's not true, of course I don't live in a fantasy world, I'm very much in touch with reality, I'm aware of the bad aspects of everyone and every situation, but I don't like focusing on that. Is that so wrong?! Everyone has flaws, why should we focus on them? That's so negative and pessimistic, why shouldn't we focus on the good in people, isn't that a better thing to do? Also, I've been fasting for a friend's happiness recently and my friends don't get it, they think I must like him in a romantic way, but I don't! It's like the world is full of such complexity and so devoid of love, that for me to care and fast for a friend, it must mean I like him as more than a friend? Is there no such thing as optimism and love left in the world? Why must my innocent actions be looked upon with such criticism and judgement? As if it makes me wrong and them right? That I shouldn't be so happy all the time, that I should only look at the bad aspects to people? |
Question: Contantly think that people are out to get me, help? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:39 PM PDT I live in a small town and I didn t get on well with people at school. Sometimes when I am drunk and out with friends I will say stupid things to people and the next day when sobered up I will feel awful and worry about what I ve said the night before and my anxiety levels will rocket sky high. I won t go out in town for ages petrified that someone I was speaking to will confront me about things I have said or if I have said something bad about someone they will find out and confront me. What do I do? I m so scared of people in this town bc they are so judgemental and a lot of people don t like me or at least I think they don t like me. |
Question: I accidentally said Hey! to my teacher? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:36 PM PDT I go to a catholic school. I was leaving school and a teacher I have, thats really young, said hi to me and I responded with out thinking "hey". That's what I say to all my friends and it just came out cuz that's just what I naturally say. As soon as I said it I cringed and realized that it was bad. My friend said it was rude too. Now I feel embarrassed. Was it bad/disrespectful to use or should I not worry about it. It's really bugging me. |
Question: My friend randomly began ignoring me? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:31 PM PDT Ok so I'm generally a shy person and I like my group of friends so I just stick with them. But this year I decided to become more social. I began to ask people for the time, starting conversation and complementing people I usually would be too scared but I was glad with my progress. Because I was becoming more social I made friends with this girl my year. (I'll just call her x) X is the only out of closet lesbian in our year and really social person with loads of friend friends we became really good friends and were talking all day everyday. Later X got into girl trouble which happened often. I gave her my advice and she got back together with her. New girlfriend is one of those jealous type of girls. She must have said something to X because she kept hinting at me to say away from her. I brushed it off and pretended she said nothing. Then this weekend X started to take forever to reply and when she did it was robotic one word ananswers. I asked if she was ok and she said yes and never replied. Then she stopped texting me altogether. Today on school she completely ignored me she never even said hi back to me and her girlfriend was wrapped around her hip laughing when X wouldn't reply. It made me kind of angry and upset and I'm wondering if I should just forget either of them exist or just try talk to X and risk getting into deep water with her physco girlfriend?? Any advice would be appreciated :) |
Question: Is this considered discrimination against someone with anxiety? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:30 PM PDT I went to see a new doctor today (I've been to several already with no luck) because my old PCP switched to holistic medicine. I saw this doctor on a thyroid website. She was on a list that she runs the appropriate thyroid tests and gives natural treatment. I have Hashimotos (a thyroid condition) so I thought it would be a good fit. I have severe anxiety/OCD. They wouldn't let me do the blood pressure with a jacket or long sleeve shirt on saying it directly has to touch the skin. I have never encountered this and I've been to several doctors offices. They always let me use a jacket or long sleeve for blood pressure. When I said I couldn't do that, the nurse got the supervisor and had her come talk to me. The doctor kept refusing to come see me unless I got the blood pressure done. I left because I didn't have a long sleeve (which they acted like they wouldn't allow anyway) and they wouldn't let me use the jacket. I told them about my anxiety/OCD. They didn't care. I called back when I got home and set up another appointment saying I would wear long sleeve. They called back saying that doctor does not want to see me ans cancelled my appointment. They said it isn't a good fit and she doesn't deal with Hashimoto's which I know is a lie because she was on the thyroid website. They told me to find another doctor. I have already been to numerous doctors and am not having any luck. I'm guessing they probably won't even allow me to see another doctor in that office. |
Question: Excuses for not going to a sleepover? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:26 PM PDT Okay, so my friend is having a sleepover and i really don't want to go because she had been really mean over the last month and no one in our friend group likes her any more. I'm the only one that even talks to her and i do it because i don't want to leave her out. She wants to have a sleepover for her birthday but i really don't want to go. Her parents are very strict and scare me. The last sleepover i had with her he had to go to bed at 9pm and weren't allowed to speak. Also her dad believes in star signs and is quote "wary of me because i have an negative sign" like what the hell! Don't judge me by the month i was born! I've tried telling her that im busy but she keeps re-arranging it and makes 'helpful' suggestions about how i can cancel my plans. i just really don't know what to do she is very immature and sensitive if i tell her the truth she will cry... I'm not even exaggerating. she is turning 15 years old btw. thanksssss |
Question: Why is my friend so eccentric and affectionate? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:23 PM PDT My friend Terry has been my best friend since we were kids (I'm a guy btw). At times she acts kinda silly/eccentric, like she likes to tease or bug me in the most playful ways. Sometimes I'll be sitting on a bench and Terry will try to grab and scare me from behind. She asks me dumb questions like "What if tacos had wings and zebras spoke Latin" (don't ask). Other times she can be really affectionate and always thinks of the most expressive, crazy ways just to give me a hug. One time at the bus stop she hug tackled me to the ground and started cuddling me in front of everyone. Embarrassing. Keep in mind I'm a guy when she does this! All in all Terry is still a good friend and I care about her (just friends). So then why does she act this way? We're 22 now and she still acts like a clown at times. I asked Terry if she's trying to flirt with me or something, but she denies it and says she only feels comfortable being herself around me. What does she mean? |
Question: Do my friends think they're better than me or am I sensitive? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:20 PM PDT So I have two friends who I have been friends with since 3rd grade. Recently they've been acting strange with me. I am in 5th grade and about to graduate, my friends told me that for one of our field trips we had to wear a certain type of clothes. I pretty much believed her and showed up wearing something looked similar, but ended up embarrassed. One of my friends say I am fat when way skinnier than her. One time that friend told me I wasn't pretty, then she calls me bad words. What bothers me mostly is that she sometimes acts like this and sometimes she acts nice. |

Question: How can I bond with my friend? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:14 PM PDT This year In High School. Year 11 I recently joined a group of guys. ( 4 of us) But they kinda childish and stupid. They not understanding and kind Of selfish. The Only thing they know are Cars, By that I mean obsessed. Every week they buy Car magazines , Car Cards and stare at the teachers cars and talk about cars every single minute during school breaks . I don't think 2 of them ever liked girls. But 1 guy is the most obsessed but he seems to be understanding . The quality I want in friends. I think there's hope for us to be good friends but its kinda awkward when were alone. I mean I'm not obsessed with cars like he is and I think that's the only thing he's interested in. Lol Basically I don't know how to bond with people. There must be 3 in the group whenever I'm talking to people . I can't have one on one conversations with people in real life. So How do I bond with him and people bascially? |
Question: Don't think my friends like me anymore? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:02 PM PDT In three days I'm going to France on a school trip and we've just got all our rooms sorted. There are only rooms of four available and there are five of us in our friendship group so one of my friends said that she would share a room with some other people she knows. Anyway today she text me and said that she wanted to be with her friends so could I swap rooms with her. I don't know if that's meant to mean that I'm not her friend or that my other friends don't want me in their room. Also none of them have said a single word to me today and I don't know if I've done anything wrong. Should I ask them if I've done anything wrong? Help I don't know what to do 😕 |
Question: Hypocritical friend? Posted: 18 May 2015 02:01 PM PDT So I had this "friend" who literally hates my boyfriend of five years. I met her at church and she is super judge mental of everyone. I mean she was mad and thought I was sinning just because I had a boyfriend and that was when we were only 15. Since then she has been so mean and judge mental of everything I've done whether it's modesty, hand holding or anything. I ended up just never telling her anything about my relationship because it was that bad. She then wrote me a four page letter about why she thinks I should break up with my boyfriend. After years of being judged and her always thinking she is better, "purer" and more spiritual, it came to my attention that she was sleeping continuously with this guy that was in love with her and she had no intention of dating him. She has kept this a secret from everyone I'm assuming because she wants to keep up her moral image. Should I confront her on this or I've been debating not being her friend because I just can't take the hypocrisy. Oh and she also talks to this guy everyday even though she has a boyfriend now but that's a different story. |
Posted: 18 May 2015 02:00 PM PDT I asked for tickets for my birthday. Only thing I asked for. I didn't even want to celebrate my birthday, but I told my parents I want Ed Sheer an tickets. I didn't get them. Today I found out that my best friend is going. I am so hurt by this. She doesn't know any of his songs. I still have a chance to go if I buy the tickets my self, but I feel like she'll just feel like I was jealous and wanted to go if I do. I am so mad, I can't even explain it. |
Question: How to help a friend with anorexia? Posted: 18 May 2015 01:57 PM PDT Hey. I just found out that one of my close friends has been anorexic for some time now. Her parents are letting her stay with me over the summer hoping it will help. But that's the thing I don't know how. Please if anyone has anything I can try, let me know. |
Question: Do you ever get mad at yourself for stupid things you say to others? Posted: 18 May 2015 01:55 PM PDT like nothing monumentally stupid, but sometimes I say things that unintentionally make me sound like a jackass. I don't mean to do it. but then I get in tangents and don't think about others when I say it. |
Question: How do you find a long lost friend who doesn t want to be found? Posted: 18 May 2015 01:48 PM PDT Does not want certain people finding out where they are |
Question: What to get my Twin Best Friend for her bday? Posted: 18 May 2015 01:48 PM PDT I am a guy, the twins are girls, and we are all in college. My best friend is one of the twins. Their BDay is coming so I'm not sure what to do. Only one of them is my best friend but the other one is always around as well so it feels kind of weird if I get a present for only one. I'm not really sure what to do. What if I give a really thoughtful present to the one I like but then just an ordinary one to the other half, it might look messed up too. IDK. Please help. Present suggestions as well. |
Question: I'm scared of addressing certain issues with my best friend? Posted: 18 May 2015 01:45 PM PDT We have been best friends for at least 5 years now & she has been a great friend so far. There have always been some issues where I feel like she wouldn't listen and only care about herself but I've accepted that as one of her flaws. In the past year it has gotten worse. She is the sweetest girl ever and she quite frequently tells me how much she appreciates me as her best friend. And I really cherish that from her. However, several things have gotten worse over the year. There are just some things I wish she could change & I am pretty sure that she does these with no bad intentions. I know her parents aren't there for her (she lives on her own since she was 17 since her parents stay out of town) and she might just have never had the manners. I am scared that we are drifting apart and that she might be using me more than she wants to be my best friend. I am terrified of talking to her about it because I know she won't get angry but I don't want to hurt her feelings and I'm quite sure that it won't necessarily change anything. I love her dearly and she has been there for me for a long time but I need to do something & talk to her about certain things that hurt me as her friend (asking me to drive her around, spending more time with other people & leaving me hanging when we go together to a party). Are there any suggestions of how I could resolve these issues with my best friend? We're both mature but I just don't have the guts to have the talk. I need your advice, please. |
