Question: Southern california outdoor weddings? Posted: 28 May 2015 07:32 PM PDT I'm getting married May/June 2016 and am looking for a fairly cheap venue that allows for an outdoor ceremony and outdoor reception (under lights or tent). I'm planning for 175 and hoping to keep the budget close to 15-18k. I'm hoping to get married under an oak tree, that's my ideal but I'm open to other spots where I can make my own type of nature related arch. Any ideas/ venues would be helpful. I've been searching the web and am overwhelmed already! |

Question: Wedding night....bikini wax, male preference, opinions? Posted: 28 May 2015 04:09 PM PDT My fiance and I are getting married in 3 months. I'm not sure what kind of bikini wax I should get. We are both virgins so I never have been able to really get a male's opinion on this. We're 21 and 22. I usually just get a brazillian during swim season but I don't necessarily like brazillian waxes, they just require the least up keep. But it also looks child like to me. What should I do for my wedding night? I'm think waxing the sides and keeping a very close trim for the rest? What do men prefer or what are the safest options? I know he is new to it too but he still thinks about sex and while he may not notice it at first a bush would certainly get in the way of trying different things or all bare could just seem creepy. Eh, this is a weird question but what are your thoughts? |
Question: I need some good groomsman gift ideas? Posted: 28 May 2015 02:36 PM PDT It seems like all there is out there is flasks, beer mugs, or pocket knifes. Anyone have a good idea that isn't cliche? |
Question: Rude, controlling future mother in law. Wedding in 10 months. Need Advice? Posted: 28 May 2015 02:05 PM PDT Six weeks ago I got engaged to the most wonderful, kind mad. We've been together for three years and he has tooken on a fatherly role to my five year old daughter. The problem is my future MIL is a pain in the behind. She treats me okay to my face but she is very two faced. A few weeks ago we had a disussion on the wedding even though it was 10 months away. She seemed to be interested and seemed to like what ideas I have. I'm very unpredictable and like things to make a statement where she is very traditional and set in her ways. I told her I wanted my color pallet to be lime green and tourquose, and have the cermony and reception inside a hall instead of a church. I'm not a very religious or churchy type. My fiance told me to pick what I want and he'll make sure it happens. The only thing he had an opinion on was the cuisine served. He is very picky on what he will or won't eat. Anyway last night she told my fiance "he oubt to reign me in" and put his foot down. She says that I should choose more traditional colors such as pink and white or neutrals. And that the ceremony has to be in a church as that is where she was married in. I wish she would tell me her opinion to my face instead of beating around the bush. Next week, I'm going to look at wedding dresses, and reluctantly I invited her, along with my mom, sister and best friend. She will be dramatic if I don't invite her but I know she will have an opinion and I'm not looking to forward to her putting her son in the middle. He is very supportive and puts my feelings first but I feel bad that it often leaves a bitter taste in his mom's mouth. In my fiance defence, if he didn't tell me what she said and I found out I'd be upset. I like to know if someone is talking about me, and he knows it. Why would he lie about what is mother would say? He has stood up for me and did again this last time. She is a bitter woman. She makes him feel like an unworthy son and I don't want to be the one to cause conflict between them too. |

Question: Father of the bride?..? Posted: 28 May 2015 11:30 AM PDT Im getting married and my stepfather is walking me down the aisle because he raised me. Im not sure if i should even invite my biological father. We aren't close and he doesn't even call me on special occasions. Im closer to my stepmom and we hardly talk. Its a smal wedding and he would have to fly to come here. Is it ok not to invite him or what would be the right etiquette? |

Question: Telling my friend I want someone else as my maid of honor.? Posted: 28 May 2015 09:20 AM PDT I am recently engaged and already have a problem. I have a friend that I have known since we were in elementary school. We used to be really close, we would plan our weddings together for fun. When we did that she was always my maid of honor. In recent years, since college started I think, we have grown apart. We go months without talking. Our lives are really different now and I don't even think we have much at all in common anymore. I want to pick another friend of mine as my maid of honor, but I am not sure how to break it to the other girl that she is just going to be a bridesmaid. Please help. |
Question: Target Gift Registy Question? Posted: 28 May 2015 08:54 AM PDT So I went to Target the other day to buy my friend some stuff for his grad party. When I went to look at his registry again online it says that the items have been bought, but don't disappear from the list. Is that what it's supposed to do? I thought they're supposed to disappear from the list? I'm pretty sure the guy scanned the items then scanned some bar code on the paper. Oh, that kinds sucks, he then knows what people actually are getting him.. for the most part. xD Oh, that's really interesting. I just assumed that the person didn't know much of anything about who bought what until they were given the gift. |

Question: Being a bridesmaid with anxiety? Posted: 28 May 2015 07:13 AM PDT I'm being one of the bridesmaids for a family friend THIS Saturday and suffer with generalised anxiety disorder. Every single time I think about this wedding I start panicking, I honestly don't know how to cope because I feel like I'm going to throw up every second of the day. I am so stressed out about the whole day. I'm worried about the food.. I'm worried about getting ready somewhere I've never been.. I'm worried that I'll have a panic attack walking down the aisle. To top it all no one knows about my anxiety so I do my best to hide it. So worried I won't be able to even slightly relax all day please give me so advice. |
Question: Didn't get an invite to his wedding? Posted: 28 May 2015 05:29 AM PDT I have a friend who is getting married. We've been friends for 5 years. Anytime he had a problem he would call me. He discussed his wedding plans with me & I very jokingly said "I better get an invite ;)" He paused & said "Eh there is a list of people I'd rather not invite to my wedding" I was unsure of what was meant by that. He told me he was getting married in December. My friend called & asked if I was going & informed me she had received an invite months ago & the wedding was this weekend. He also posted to his facebook he was getting married this weekend. I never got an invite! Let me clarify, I'm not ANGRY about not getting an invite I'm ANGRY he felt the need to lie about it & had the nerve to call me 2 weeks ago asking me for advice about some issues he was having with his fiancé. I'm a bit insulted. He's called me a lot in regards to advice anytime he's lonely or has a problem. Seems it's the only time I hear from him!! Thoughts?? |

Question: Should I propose to my boyfriend? Posted: 28 May 2015 02:26 AM PDT So June 18th will be our one year. He proposed to me in December because we had no doubts about that being what we wanted. Well I ended up breaking it off for a few months and then after some work we ended up back together. Things are better than ever. I want to propose to him. I never want him to have to propose to me again because he already did that once and we were engaged and it would be so weird after it all to have him propose again. So should I propose to him? Or let him propose to me again down the way? |
