Question: My boyfriend wants to buy me an engagement ring? Posted: 20 May 2015 07:55 PM PDT My boyfriend and I have been together a year but have known each other for 3, he's 18 and I'm 16. We're only a year and a month apart. But He's already bought me a $300 promise ring that got stolen 4 months ago, and now he wants to buy me an engagement ring to replace it. We want to get married when Im 18 and Im ready for that. But is an engagement ring for two years worth it? |
Question: Are there other neat side wedding ceremonies like the first fight box? Posted: 20 May 2015 07:16 PM PDT I recently heard about a growing ceremony in which the couple assembles a wooden box and puts in it hand written love letters and a bottle of wine to be opened on their first fight. I thinks it s adorable, but it got me wondering if there were any other similar ceremonies that add something to the relationship like that? |

Question: How would you handle this? Posted: 20 May 2015 06:33 PM PDT I am getting married this Saturday. My parents have done everything, including paying for the entire reception, helping with decorations, and getting things together. His parents have done nothing, they haven't even offered to help fold invitations. I would like to show my parents how much I appreciate them for their help but I don't know how to do it without offending my soon to be in laws. Any suggestions? |
Question: Is it wrong to want an engagement ring? Posted: 20 May 2015 05:50 PM PDT My husband and I have been married 2 years. We eloped and I just have a small wedding band. We are doing a lot better financially now and I found a small diamond ring well within our price range... But my husband thinks it s stupid that I want an engagement ring now. I always wanted one but knew we couldn t afford it at the time. Is it selfish of me to want one now? Am I being materialistic? |
Question: Papel picado at my wedding = inappropriate? Posted: 20 May 2015 05:40 PM PDT I love papel picado and have been to many a wedding using it as decoration (important note: all of these weddings were of people with mexican heritage). I think it s beautiful! I would love to have it at my wedding but am worried it may be cultural appropriation, as I am not Mexican and as far as I m aware it s a historic Mexican folk art. Is it inappropriate for me use as decoration at my wedding? Thanks for the help! |
Question: I'm planning a joker and harley quinn wedding? Posted: 20 May 2015 04:50 PM PDT Ok so like I've said in my other question. I'm planning a joker and Harley quinn wedding for two girls (who are marrying each other) and I need to know a good place for a reception. I failed to add a city or anything so. They live in KY u.s.a but anyplace in the U.S. would work |
Question: DOes it sound like the girl sexually harassing my son, was sexually abused herself? Posted: 20 May 2015 04:39 PM PDT My son is 12, so is this girl, we'll refer to her as "Tara." Not to rain on my son's parade, but he hasn't hit puberty yhet. He'll be extremely handsome when he's older, but for now, he looks like a little kid still. Tara though, already looks 16. My son has trouble making friends, while Tara is regarded as popular. They are on the track team together. Tara asks questions to my son like: "How big is your dick?" "Are you a virgin?" "Am I giving you a *****?" "Who do you like?" I don't think she likes my son, I think she's just trying to establish dominance for whatever reason. At a pool party, my son was innocently riding on a noodle, and Tara got on with him, and humped him! She wears extremely short shorts all the time, spandex, shows as much skin as possible and wears SO much makeup. Every time she sees a poll, she acts like a stripper, and stripper-dances on it. I was talking to another running mom, and Tara was "joking" and told a girl that she would rape her boyfriend. According to Tara, she barely knew what that word means. Tara cusses nonstop, has the mouth of someone completely trashy. Her parents seem like nice people, really religious, seem unaware of how their daughter acts. I'm just wondering if this behavior is normal. |
Question: Cheap wedding venues? Posted: 20 May 2015 02:48 PM PDT Looking for a rustic wedding venue in London? Can anyone suggest anywhere it's only a small wedding less than 100 people x |
Question: Im planning a joker and harley quinn wedding? Posted: 20 May 2015 02:32 PM PDT Ok so I'm planning a joker and Harley Quinn wedding for two girls (who are marrying each other) and I need to know a good place for a reception |
Question: How long does the pastor speak at a wedding? Posted: 20 May 2015 02:22 PM PDT A friend of mine asked me to record his upcoming wedding, and I want to make sure I have enough storage on my camera to do so and the amount of time certain things take place. The part I'm mostly concerned about is how long the pastor is going to speak until he says, "you may kiss the bride.". If it varies, then what would be safe to assume as the average amount of time? Thanx. |
Question: Should I have a wedding? Posted: 20 May 2015 01:25 PM PDT I just got engaged and while I would like to have a wedding my fiance and I simply can't afford one. However after trying on a few wedding dresses and looking at wedding venues I am hooked but it is going to cost us over 2500 bucks to do it. And we simply don't have it all at once. Part of me wants to just go to the courthouse and get married for 70 bucks and then save for honeymoon but why am I so stuck on having a wedding? I can't make up my mind. |
Posted: 20 May 2015 12:58 PM PDT I am making a guest list and would like to track our RSVPs and potential RSVPs. The relevant columns I have are: A: Guest name B: Total number in party C: Cer/Rec, with values of "Both or Cer. Only" D: RSVP, with values of "Yes, No, Waiting" E: Shower, with values of "Yes, No" So, I would like to produce totals for the number of people invited to the ceremony, the number of people invited to the reception, the number of people who have RSVPed for the reception. Basically, how can I add the total of column B, then add the total for column B minus anyone who is either "Cer. Only" in column C and/or "NO" in column D. Sorry, I'm teaching myself Excel as I go. Thanks! EDIT: To simplify, I need the following totals: Total of Column B. Total of Column B minus all "Cer. Only" values in Column C. (for potential guests) Total of Column B minus all "Cer. Only" and "NO" values in Column D. (for actual guests so far) |

Posted: 20 May 2015 09:55 AM PDT My father has MS and it has gotten to the point he can't walk, talk, and can't even really move his limbs or head. I want him to be involved in the wedding but I don't have any ideas on how he could be with his condition |
Question: How does a Bridal Shower work? Posted: 20 May 2015 09:06 AM PDT So I'm invited to a Bridal Shower and it is my very first time. I didn't grow up here and we don't do these in my home country. So I'm not sure how this all works. There is a registry, but it is the same as the one for the wedding. Am I supposed to pick something out, wrap it up nicely and bring it to the Bridal Shower? |
Posted: 20 May 2015 05:58 AM PDT We are having an outdoor country wedding with mostly close family and friends...50 guest give or take. Would a BBQ potluck be tacky? And how would I ask guest to bring a dish? |
Question: Can I wear an engagement ring even though I'm not engaged? Posted: 20 May 2015 05:20 AM PDT I've been divorced for about 15 years and never intend to get married again. I like life much better being single. However, one thing I really miss is that ring on my finger. I happen to have my great grandmothers engagement ring, and last night I came across it in my jewelry box and felt sad that such a beautiful piece of jewelry is hidden away all the time. I would like to wear it. It fits me ... but only on THAT finger. I don't want a jeweler to alter it in any way, such as sizing it to fit my other hand. how inappropriate would it be to wear it anyway? I ran the idea past a couple friends and they thought it was a cool idea. I wanted to throw this thought out there and see what other random people thought. |
Question: How do I end this engagement? Tell him or just leave? Posted: 20 May 2015 05:07 AM PDT I have been in a serious relationship for the last 3yrs with a very dangerous man, I met him shortly after I moved to Dublin from New York, My family decided to end contact with me a year after I began seeing him, It broke my moms heart who I was with but I told her i'd never turn my back on him. He is a known gangster, I don't mean just petty crime, Its a much bigger organisation, He is involved in armed robberies & any serious crime going down around here, He has had a treat on his life and been in and out of prison, he is intimidating. He is very possessive of me, always has been, he doesn't let me too far out of his sight, we have a very intense relationship. From the moment I met him I fell head over heels for him & looked past all the bad he does, when he'd be arrested I would be in tears. I feel like I am losing feelings for him like when he puts his arm around me or tries to hold my hand or in bed he has always pulls me close to him, I used to love that but now I get frustrated and feel smothered by him, I know he feels me being distant from him because its causing arguments between us. I have become very homesick the last month, I miss my family and I miss everything about NY, my heart is aching to go home, I've looked at flights online & tempted to just back up and leave but deep down I do love him still & don't want to hurt him, but im not happy here anymore, Do I leave the man I love or go to where my heart is aching for? Any advice guys? |
