Question: Should I tell my parents I'm moving out or just go? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:45 PM PDT I'm 23 and I really want to move away from home. My parents don't want me to but I'm tired of living at home. They keep saying they'll disown me and sue me for all the money they gave me towards college (I know they can't). They both gamble and go to the casino way too much. I have a job and work but they expect me to take care of the bills. They treat me like crap and they said they'd kill my dog if I left (don't worry dog is coming with me). My mom is an alcoholic to boot and they try and track my every move. It's always been like this but I've learned to ignore them. My job has offered me a job at their corporate office out of state. The question isn't am I going because I am but whether I should tell them? I think I may just leave without a goodbye or anything. |
Question: I'm having some issues with my boyfriend about our unborn child. help! im not married? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:44 PM PDT he often talks about if i dont move with him hes gonna move and take the baby. im in a good place right now i dont think theres any need for us to move. he also pushes aside my decisions about the baby and wants me to do what ever his mom tell us to do. his mom dont know everything. i try to sit down and make decisions with him but he only wants me to do what his mom says and when i dissagree we always get in a real bad argument. i love him more then anything in the world but when it comes to talking about the baby he think him and his mom know whats best and im scared if i try to make any decisions about stuff they will try to take me to court when the babys born and try to take him/her away im scared that may happen. what should i do about this? |
Posted: 12 May 2015 01:35 PM PDT Me and friend are planning to go camping this weekend and get high... I've done this with a few different friends this past 2 months I was wondering if my parents are getting suspicious of what we're doing. |

Question: Incest Father and Daughter Why is it happening to me? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:28 PM PDT My mom left to go to Europe to see her boyfriend so I was left here in America, because I had school and because my passport was blocked. I stayed with my dad, He has a 2 bedroom apartment but the other bedroom was taken by his roommate so I had to sleep in my dads room, and while I was asleep my dads private part was touching bum, and I immediately moved and took the covers off of me, and turned the other direction so i was facing him. And still my eyes were closed because it was still late at night. What should I do I just came home from school, and my dad apologized about it and this isn't the first time this happened, when I was younger about 8-9 my dad and I were tickling each other and all of a sudden his private poked from the blanket and it was touching my bum and after wards i just ran in the basement and came back upstairs and my dad just acted as if nothing had happened. I'm 13 now.. Why does my dad do this, I don't want this to happen to me.. I'm only a kid. |
Question: Family things to do rather than restaurants? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:24 PM PDT Every year my family go out to restaurants for family events (birthdays, celebration, etc.) and I m getting boredd. Im the youngest in my family of 5, being 17 and have two older brothers 23 & 25. We re quite a close family but i want to make our birthday celebrations more interesting and something to remember rather than restaurant or movies or bowling. Bare in mind my parents aren t that active. Please help me decide what else we can do, brothers 26th on Friday and I don t want to go to a boring old restaurant again :( helppppp! |
Question: I think my mom hates me...? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:16 PM PDT She is always calling me a b**** and other mean names. She says that I'm an awful person. She has even slapped me before. What do I do? |
Question: My dad drives me to suicide? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:09 PM PDT There are lots of times when me and my dad get into arguements. Like school for example. I hate it when he says I'm a bad kid and how stupid I'am! I do get low grades and talk so much trash about me and makes me feel I'm below everyone and everything on this planet. He makes me suicidal. When he talks smack about me and how bad I'am it hurts. I just want to do die a fast and painful death. He wouldn't care if I'm gone he still has brother who he spoils and loves so much. I just want to die so I have no worries or painful thoughts. |
Question: How to get my father to get a hearing aid? Posted: 12 May 2015 01:03 PM PDT He is deaf. Period. He can't listen neither the door bell nor the phone unless he is less than 1 yard away from it. He can't hear his cell phone either. He says that the tone of everything is too low, not his hearing. Talking on the phone to him has become a challenge. I can't talk to him properly. Sometimes I have to repeat things up to 7 times, screaming at the top of my lungs and he still doesn't understand everything I say. I feel frustrated and normal conversation has become impossible. Also the television is always so loud that I find it a miracle that the neighbors have never called the police. Me and my mother have suggested for years that he gets a hearing aid but he doesn't seem to care. He says he doesn't want to. I know this is selfish but this is so frustrating to me… suggestions please? |
Question: I want this to stop NOW. But how? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:55 PM PDT My sister says she cares about her grades but I feel like she doesn't. When we have homework I do it first, then she's on her phone all the day and at night when she goes to do her homework (because my mom and me keep telling to do so) she says she's tired and says she'll do it the day of handing it in on luch brake or before we take that class. She ends up copying me. I (and mom) need to pressure her to study and she can't even do it alone or she'll fail. She says she cares but it seems like she doesn't. She use to say that she flunk the classes because I didn't study with her and didn't care and now that I do study with her it's still my fault. She doesn't take notes but expects me to do, and I just ******* hate her so ******* much some times because this is not fair but it makes my mom happy because she doesn't have so much stress. So I'm left with all of it. She's lost, she doesn't know what we have to do and it's like she's ******* retarded really. And I hate that I care. What the hell am I suppose to do because I've done it all and nothing has worked out? |
Question: Dsughter and clingy gf? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:50 PM PDT Sorry this is long I'll try to make it short. I have a daughter who 22. She recently came home from college. She got a job for the summer to start saving. She never worked and I told her she had to this summer as she has no money of her own saved and I want her to start paying her bills. She has a gf(lesbian). They go to the same school and live together at school. I pay for there apartment at school. Her gf was supposed to stay at school over the summer but decided to come home because she didn't want to be apart from my daughter. My daughter quit her summer job because she wants to just spend time with her gf. I got mad and went off on my daughters gf. I said she wrecking my daughters life. I also said I won't support them two anymore. Well they both left my house and returned my credit cards. My daughter has no money so I thought oh she'll be back but it's been a week and she hasn't contacted me. I am worried I lost my daughter. Right now they aren't using my money as they said they want nothing to do with me anymore. Idc that my daughters gay. I just don't like this girl. This girl constantly gets into trouble and we've been supporting her gf since 16 her gf 21. Her parents refused to talk to her when she came out and I wanted my daughter happy so I let her move in. She very clingy to my daughter. |
Posted: 12 May 2015 12:49 PM PDT I was at a cookout and we had a discussion about parents taking care of their responsibilities and some people allowed there parents to brainwash them to think that they owe their parents something for being responsible parent when I told them I don't play about that game they thought that I was being ungrateful but how can they not see that parents do not deserve payment for doing what they need to do for example nobody gives you a trophy for being an adult and paying your own bills so why should this be any different from being a parent the only time you owe anybody something is if it comes to a aunt uncle and grandparents who chooses to take care of you not Mama and Daddy |
Question: My brother thinks he's above criticism? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:49 PM PDT okay so without getting into too many details my brother and I had an argument last night and said brother who has been planning to leave his current job which sucks for another better one suddenly goes all emo on me saying "I don't even know about quitting" and acting all offended because I tried defending myself to him so basically his logic is "my job sucks which makes me immune to any kind of criticism ever!" how do I get it through his thick skull that this isn't the case? that many people have crappy jobs but if they do something wrong they are still to be called out on it? honestly it seems to me that he just wants to keep his current crappy job so he can use it against anyone he gets into an argument with "oh you have cancer? well my job sucks so I guess I'm worse off aren't I?" adya - err... why what? |
Question: My mother is very mean to my husband and she trying to get control of me again ...? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:40 PM PDT My whole life , my mother is a narcissist . She mean controlling and nsnuplative and gave me guilt trips . I got so many sad thoughts to talk about it . A year ago my spouse ( who was my bf ) saved me from living with my mean mother . Once I lived with my spouse , I talk to her on the phone yet she hurt me badly by her words and verbal abuse . So I then gave her the silent treatment for 3 months . Then I decide to see her again in person but then she started to be nice to me like her buying me a meal , mom happy to see me , she doing what I want such as walking with me and talking to me but mom calls my spouse retard , doesn't want anything to do with him yet wants to know my spouse to get to me for I'm married to him . Once I got married mom felt she lost all control over me . I'm 24 and he's 25. My mom will never stop talking bad about my spouse , or anyone else . Should I let her go and move on with my life without her ? Me and my spouse would be better off without her. Yet I'll be sad I don't have a nice normal mother but at least I got a nice step mom . My dad divorced mom because of her controling behavior . |
Question: What to do if my older brother tries to bully me? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:37 PM PDT The other day my brother and I got into a huge disagreement over a misunderstanding. Throughout most of the argument we were arguing the same point pretty much and I told him that the argument was pointless if we both agreed on things could have been done better. So I decided to walk to my room and get away from him because I felt as if it was unnecessary drama, but he still wanted to argue and get me to say "he's right". I know not to do that unless I'm completely in the wrong because he'll try to use it as ammo for a future argument... He followed me to my room and still tried to prove his point, but If it wasn't for me suggesting a 3rd party, he wouldn't have left my room. What should I do if he tries to argue with me again and doesn't leave my room? What are my options to let him know that he's being a psycho? Fighting is not an option because he's 2 times my size (we both workout), I'm not much of a fighter anyways unless someone lays their hands on me 1st, and i'm pretty sure that it'll break my moms heart. I'm 20, he's 21. He's manipulative, controlling, and tries to use me whenever he can. That's why I live with my dad instead of him. P.S. I would have drove away, but his car had me backed in. |
Question: How can i get my mum to let my watch my girlfriend's show tomorrow? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:36 PM PDT tomorrow my girlfriend's having her big drama show that she's been rehearsing for and she wants me to watch. I have an exam the next day and I'm meant to be having a tutor at the same time as her performance. Posted: 12 May 2015 12:24 PM PDT Hi. I'm under sixteen and my parents have been split up for 10 years. They were always okay with each other though. But last year they freaked and now they hate each other. I have NO money so yeah. My mum bought my dads present this year but she wasn't happy about it and I think my dads gonna freak is there anything I could say? Thank you. |
Posted: 12 May 2015 12:19 PM PDT Here's the deal *When going to work this morning, my mum left her purse down which contained her engagement ring, her keys and her card. *After searching the house, work and my mum's friend's car, we have not found a trace TIMELINE: 0747: Mum leaves for work by walking to top of road (chance of it being lost there?) 0750: Friend collects Mum at top of road before driving to work. 0800: Mum arrives at work and realizes purse is missing What can we do to get it found if it was lost in the middle of the road or whatever? Should we call the police? I should add that the rings hold a lot of sentimental value, so she is very upset that they are lost. Any ideas on that? |
Question: How do I thank my best friends dad for being my father figure while mine is away? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:19 PM PDT My dad is in prison and thanks to my best friends dad the space isn't so empty.. He doesn't realize that the little things mean so much to me that he does such as random projects, always letting me stay over, and even just talking. Please help, thank you! |
Question: Boyfriend didn't do anything for me on Mothers Day? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:17 PM PDT I've been dating him for a year now, I have a daughter (from a previous relationship) and when Mother's Day came around, he didn't wish me a happy Mother's Day till late afternoon after I've been talking to him all morning. I work second shift and thought maybe he'd do something for me in the morning but didn't. He went out with his friends all after noon to a concert and got drunk all night. i know he's not a father and he's free to do as he pleases but I did feel really left out and it hurt cause I didn't get anything special for Mother's Day. I didn't even get to spend it with my daughter much because I had to work and sunday afternoons she goes to her fathers house. Am I crazy for feeling hurt? Should he have done something for me? |

Question: Family Issues; Sixteen and in College.? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:08 PM PDT Hi. My name is Alex (not really). I graduated high school when I was fifteen. I went into college right after, and I'm now finishing up my freshmen year, now sixteen years old. So the thing is, my sister, Kelly, who's eighteen and I, are both in the same year, and both on scholarships. My dad lives in Maine, because he had to to get a job, my sister, mother, and I all live in California. I want to stay here, seeing as how I've grown up here, but I had to keep my scholarship to do so. I have. My sister however, is looking like she might not. And the thing is, my parents won't let me stay here if she ends up being taken to Maine. Basically, I think that that's really, ridiculously ****** up. I was mature enough to make it through high school despite being two to three years younger than all of my peers. I formed lasting friendships that I still have. I have been more responsible that her, gotten better grades, and if keep my scholarship and she doesn't, that just proves my point. So why on Earth should it be the case that I can't stay here without my sister? I'm a minor, I understand that. But it was never the case that they were intending to leave us here on our own. Our grandparents live two hours away, and our parents would still be helping us financially while we're going to school. If I've proven myself to be responsible enough to take care of myself, why shouldn't I be able to stay? And how can I convince them that I should be able to? Thanks. |
Question: How many hours can I work without it effecting my mothers child benefits? Posted: 12 May 2015 12:01 PM PDT I am 16, 17 in June. My mum is disabled and on DLA, her money has recently been decreased by a substantial amount. I am looking to find a job to help her with money but without it effecting her child benefits she receives for me. So I would like to know how many hours I can work without it effecting her child benefits, any help please? Thank you. |
Question: Found out my dad isn't my biological dad? Posted: 12 May 2015 11:59 AM PDT Okay so I was in a bar on St Patrick's day when I was talking about my dad, a lady came up to me and said 'can I ask you a personal question' and I would be an open person so I said yea and she said 'is your dad your real dad' and I looked at her confused and said 'yes obviously' and she started to mutter on saying 'is your mum Zoe?' I said yes and she was able to say where my mum used to live and I said yes... Then she proceeded to tell me 'oh because I thought your mum had a kid with Stephen..." And I said 'no that's definitely not my mum" and she said 'oops maybe I've said to much' ... So I went back to my friend(mums best friend) and told her what happened. She stormed out after the girl. That's when I knew it was true. Anyway I got home & mum was crying at the door. She told me 'Stephen' ran out when I was 1 month old: and he contacted my dad when I was 18 saying he wants to be in my life ( I'm 20 now ) and my dad said they hadn't told me yet. I suffered from agoraphobia from 14 and I'm only starting to leave the house now so she didn't want to make me sick again. But now I just feel crap all the time. Anytime I see my dad I feel awkward, and I know I shouldn't because he stuck by me since I was 3 months old and I love him to bits. But I feel so depressed knowing I've been lied to my whole life. I just feel like a dick. I also feel like I'm not myself?!? It's so strange and I don't know how to deal with everything. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you |
Question: Parents makes me feel like a disappointment in general...? Posted: 12 May 2015 11:55 AM PDT I love programming and being alone to think. I love to have exotic ideas about physics and chemistry. But, one thing that I simply cannot express interest in is the academical physics / chemistry. Both of my parents are professors in those specific areas, therefore they try to help in my academics ( Which is great ). But the problem is that its very hard for me to express interest, and they detect this. I don t think they realize it, but they sometimes have this very specific look and tone ( Almost looking down ) that indirectly suggests that you are a disappointment. When they detected that I wasn't interested they said: "I don t understand how you cannot be excited about this, in my age I would jump out of my chair to learn this". Maybe I m just way too sensible, but that seriously hurt me, made me feel like a huge disappointment, now they don t say such things to my brother, he s the one who can somehow seem interested enough. Is it just me? Am I over dramatic? How can I overcome this dreadful feeling? |

Question: Why does my mom blame everything on me? Posted: 12 May 2015 11:33 AM PDT Here's a little background info. So I'm the 2nd youngest of 10 kids. Only four of us live with my parents. I'm 18 going on 19 and I'm going to be a college sophomore. My mom married my dad at 15 and when she was pregnant with me she tried walking over a bed to the 2nd bed and hurt her hip. Now she has lots of medical issues like discs on her back and hip and diabetes. Everything she's in pain she blames me for it because of what happened when she was pregnant with me. I always give her messages to help her. I have a younger sister that's 15 and she's so bratty. She always yelling that I bother her. When I actually don't. Everything she yells my parents asume I'm bothering her and I get into trouble. So I go to class in the morning and in the afternoon I Come home and make my parents a late lunch then I'll make dinner and for dishes me and my sister take turns but she never does them and then my mom ends up doing it and I get blamed. My mom espects me to cook, bake bread and to clean the whole house. Our house is 3 story and we have 3 bathrooms. I don't have time for that and it's way to much for just me to do. On a daily basis my mom would curse me out and make fun of me. She also talks about how I'm a ***** and that I'm dirty to herself while I'm there. I'm amune to the but watch bothers me is that she will blame everything on me when I have nothing to do with it. |
Question: What to do about in-laws pressuring us to have our baby daughter baptized? Posted: 12 May 2015 11:23 AM PDT My husband and I are atheists. Both of us grew up in religious household but turned our backs on religion as teenagers when we realized none of it is real. My parents respect my wishes about being atheists. My husbands parents have given him no end of grief over the fact he no longer goes to church and since we had our daughter it's gotten worse. They say they do not want their grandbaby raised amorally and they are starting to insist that we baptize her. We have both said we will not do that. They are threatening to take our daughter and get her baptized and it's gotten to the point we no longer allow them to see her without supervision. My husband is so upset that he's ready to cut his parents off completely unless they start showing us more respect for our choices. We want our child to be raised in a secular household away from religion but we can see this being an ongoing conflict with his parents. Anyone have any advice on how to his parents off our back? Should we cut them off until they decide to apologize? |

Me: I said no Her: UGHHHHHHH Me: Not another word Her: Here's 3, I hate you. * ran upstairs, slammed the door. * Didn't speak to me last night or this morning. Should I budge? she's never said that to me before, it hurt me |

However, her cousin and my cousin recently got married. Would this make us relatives in some way now or am i safe to continue pursing? Just as a side note, I've known her before our cousins began dating so yeah previously we were complete strangers. |
Posted: 12 May 2015 10:57 AM PDT My story began about a year ago I was living a normal teenage girls life this was until my dad got made redudent from work and started drinking. We had a fight and this lef to him abusing me. That very night this happened my dad camr home drunk out of his head and looked at me. He then grabbed be by my hair and locked me in the attic. I then heard screming and I sat there crying. The next morning the door was unlocked and there was blood everywhere. There was a bang at the door and there was a man there. He gave me a bit of paper and walked away. My dad had taken all they money out of our bank accounts. That next week my mum was diagnosed with cancer on the same day my older brother died. My youner sisters were.taken away and I wad left all alone. No one to turn to I went online and started talking to this guy. A few weeks later we meet up and he rapped me. Question: My dad punishes me for not eating but stepmom is a horrible cook!? Posted: 12 May 2015 10:34 AM PDT I like my stepmom and I would never want to hurt her. But she cannot cook. At all. I've gotten food poisoning from her food in the past, but most of the time I can only manage one bite before I feel nauseous because it tastes that bad. So most of the time I don't eat at home. I can only eat at school or when I'm able to make myself something (which isn't very often). There are times I would offer to cook, but she's home alone most of the day and always turns down help. I know my dad doesn't like it because he always makes faces when her back is turned, but when I say I can't eat it, he sends me to bed, has grounded me and tells me to be more sensitive to her feelings. I've tried telling him I don't want to get sick again, but he says it's worth it to make her feel good. Does anyone know what I can do to stop getting into trouble for this? I hate being hungry most of the time. And I hate feeling like I'm walking on eggshells around my dad. It's not just me he's mad at either, his own parents, my grandparents, stopped coming for dinner because they can't stand the food either. |
Question: Matchmaking my French teacher and my dad, tips? Posted: 12 May 2015 10:20 AM PDT My dad is a widower; my mom passed away when I was a baby so I don't remember her. I'm a 14 y/o girl and my dad had me when he was 23 so he's still fairly young (although for me 37 seems very old, lol). Anyway I love my dad and I like my French teacher very much! Of course she's nice to everyone but I do think she has a special rapport with me because French is (almost) my mother tongue, as my dad used to speak French with me when I was young. Sometimes she gives me a lift home and once I even went to the mall with her before she took me home. During parents-teachers meeting it seems that she and my dad enjoy each other's company. I'd love to have her as a step mom. I think she likes my dad too because often she asks me about him. She's pretty and lively and just very nice. The only problem is that she's 27 and my dad's 37 but he looks young anyway. How to encourage a relationship between them? Btw, she is delighted to learn that my dad is an architect b/c she said she wanted to be one too, so maybe this can be an 'opening gambit'. Any ideas? |
Question: How can I connect to the internet after it has been blocked by my brother? Posted: 12 May 2015 10:16 AM PDT He is fifteen, I'm thirteen and he always ALWAYS trys to act like my dad. He is an ignorant f!ck who never lets me reason with him. One time he blocked disney channel because I couldn't silence my two birds, and he yelled at me to do it in the most unkind way imaginable. I know it was the morning, but is it too much to ask for a little verbal kindness from my brother? Anyway, he's ticked me off this time; It was sunday around lunchtime and I was watching 'Earthlings' on my phone which is my only internet source since the computer broke down. We are with Virgin media and the hub for the internet had broken down, so I had to rely on using data on my phone from then on until the following sunday where I rang Virgin and they said I need to reset the box and that's why it wasn't working, but when I tried to reset it, my brother came running downstairs and said it was fine and that there's a reason that I'm not allowed on the internet. What did I do to him to make him always to this kind of stuff to me? Honestly! I feel very irritable because I have to rely on using data for literally EVERYTHING. When we move, how can I get connected to Virgin media again? My mum isn't umm... mentally stable and recovering from a sickness ( incase you get the wrong idea, I DO love my mum and do everything in my power to help her. This is just one subject), and my dad isn't around for us, so telling a parent is not an option. I cannot fight back or he'd abuse me. options?!?! |
Question: I hate my brother, but im under 18, so i can't move? please read before you judge...? Posted: 12 May 2015 10:15 AM PDT "i hate my brother". that i feel nothing for saying, "but i love my brother"... it makes me feel like a liar. now, i have several issues with my brother, and let me tell you the ages, i'm 15 and he's 12. 1. he's almost constantly sexist, he'll tell me i belong no where but on my knees cleaning or in the kitchen cooking. he'll be degrading and mean, and when he gets mad at me he'll yell at me and hit me or kick me. i try my best to block him without hurting him, i believe it's wrong, and while my parents punish him and tell him to stop, he does'nt. 2. he's constantly calling me stupid, and whenever i try to share good news with my parents, he'll try to look better, while he's looking at me with that "i'm bigger and better in every way" face. 3. he's become a living nightmare, he lies and blames me for everything. there are some kids at my school who teases me, calling me ugly etc, and he does the same thing at home. he's mean to all his sisters, there are three of us, mom and dad, his teachers, his classmates and even his friends. what can i do? i can't move yet, but i've even considerd running away, just leaving, please, what can i do? |

Question: What should I call my boyfriends mother? Posted: 12 May 2015 10:00 AM PDT I've been dating my Bf for about 3 years. His mother loves me, she calls me her daughter in law even tho we aren't married yet and I have her number saved in my phone under "Mom In Law". But one day she said "You know I've never heard you call me anything, you can call me Mom or Ma if you want, just call me something"...I kind of feel uncomfortable calling her Mom or Ma because I was raised my grandmother who passed away, and I used to call her "Ma". My grandma was the mother I knew.. I don't want to offend my Bfs Mom but I'm just not ready to call anyone else that.. What should I do? |
Posted: 12 May 2015 09:56 AM PDT I got a dui 12/14. I was taken to the hospital because of the car accident, so I never went to jail or had a mug shot. But apparently a cop came to my parents house and told them that I was in a hospital and what I had done. I'm ok now. Months later I find out that my mom told all our extended family about my dui. I was mad and felt disrespected, because I had asked her not to. She said that it "affected" them too, and that she wanted them to "pray". I know I was wrong to drink n' drive, I've taken responsibility, but I asked her not to tell, and it's none of their business. Did she have a right to tell them after I asked her not to? |

Question: A shoulder to cry on? Posted: 12 May 2015 08:47 AM PDT So this year has taken its toll on me and I need to vent somewhere. My grandfather whom I was very close to passed away. It killed me inside and all the while, I couldn t even grieve. My fiance was going through serious bouts of depression and had no compassion whatsoever. He was diagnosed with aspergers and depression. The past year he would go into rages and break things, hit me and threaten to kill himself. He slashed himself with knives on many occasions. We spent the night in the hospital because he thought he gave himself a concussion from slamming his head repeatedly into the basement wall. He called his father and told him that I am the one making him do these things, even though I wasn t. I phoned his dad to explain everything and to say my fiance needs help but he just justified why my fiance had the right to hit me and throw me across the room. On the upside, my fiance has a psychologist now, but the sessions don t start for another two weeks. His doctor also put him on antidepressants. But the antidepressants alter his personality so much that it really kills me to see it. My job has been picking on me and took away all my shifts because someone complained that they want the shifts. And I need the money, I can barely get by as it is. And last night someone broke into my garage and stole my bike. My fiance is owning up to everything and seeking help now, but at this point I am so spent. I know its not right to wallow in self pity, I can t help it though. How do I deal? I know that attempts are being made to better the situation, but I just feel like every time I turn around I get smacked in the face again with something. His family hates me cause they believe everything he told them. I really was beginning to feel comfortable with his father and everyone and was happy they were becoming part of my family, but I can't believe how his father has reacted. I was hoping he'd help me get help for his son, but he denies the fact that he needs help. My fiance called his father to tell him that he was in a fit of rage and said things about me that aren't true and all his father said was that I put him up to saying that and that its all my fault for my fiances behaviour with hitting me and threatening suicide and cutting himself etc |
Question: My mom never shuts her MOUTH? Posted: 12 May 2015 08:40 AM PDT My mom has a problem. She always gossips. I want her to change but it's really bad. Examples: 1) She got mad at her friend and told the husband that the wife was having an affair. Destroyed their family. 2) Argued with my dad, proceeded to make our phone bill very high with long distance calls across the nation. Ranting to my dad's brother how bad my dad was. 3) Told all of her friends and family about my mental illness. Not only do many people know about it now, it made my situation worse. I am humiliated because of her. I know she can't control it but I want her to see a counselor and she refuses. I think she honestly has mental issues. Now the latest mess, I told my sister how sad I was my friend was moving. My friend didn't want others to know. My mom heard and talked to her very loudly at an event yesterday blabbing and everyone now heard about it. Now my friend is sad. This is obviously a problem, idk how to fix it.. 😭😭😭 help. |
Question: I fear I have lost my family to a cult... What can I do? Posted: 12 May 2015 08:34 AM PDT Sorry for the long description... My mother started attending a church when I was about 11... I left this same church 3 years ago due to the fact I was abused from a young age from someone in that church, and it came out and I reported it to the police. You'd think any decent moral person would ostracize the offender and protect the victim but it was quote the opposite. He's been convicted. So I left. And as a result of that, and according to the beliefs of the church, my family had to disassociate me from their lives. This firstly involved me moving out of home at 17. Then it progressed to the point where my mum did not permit me to visit the house at all anymore. Then we were only allowed to contact via email, and now it has dwindled to the point of no communication. My mum sold her house because the "leader" said God was telling her to. I have no idea where she lives or how to contact her besides email. I haven't spoken to my older sister in 2 years or seen my nieces in 3 years. No one even told me when my sister was pregnant with her third. I found out the other day that my mother had dropped all my baby photos/albums and school reports to a relations house, and I was told that someone from the church had told her to remove a photo she had in the house of me, my mum and my younger brother and replace it with a photo of just my mother and my little brother. Is there anything I can do? Or do I just have to sit back and watch this insanity consume my family? |

Question: Feel like everything I do is wrong and stupid? Posted: 12 May 2015 08:06 AM PDT I'm a 16 year old girl. I feel just so disgusted with myself that I could care less if I live or not. I don't know what to do anymore I wish I would just die but I won't kill myself beacuse I could never do it. I just feel like everything is always my fault and nothing is ever right. My mom always says how proud she is of my older brother or my cousins and she only ever talks about them not anything I do and my dad is just hurtful in what he says some times beacuse he has a bad temper he also never lets me say what I have to say ever sense my parents got devorcied everything has been shitty. I need some help please ? I'm sorry this long and confusing but ok in tears right now cuz I just had a fight with my dad and I just want to feel better . |
Question: Due to be a dad. will I be over-overprotective? Posted: 12 May 2015 07:59 AM PDT Hi, due to be a dad in October. I am the kind of lad that protects his family first. My Queen, our child and my castle. Its my way and what I say goes, taking into account what my woman wants obviously. The problem is her family don't like me all that much. They tret her like crap and I decided to have her move in with me. They make out I'm turning her against them but all I did was be there for her when she needed me. .... I'm afraid that they will try and get their way and snub me when they come to see the baby after birth. But if they do I'm afraid ill kick off. Where would I stand, I'm not one to let someone come between me and my family but I don't want my woman seeing me kick off at such an innapropiate moment even if It is justified. |
