Question: Need help with a song!! please!? Posted: 17 May 2015 11:07 PM PDT My mom an step dad are getting married in 2 months and my mom told me I have to find a song to dance with my step dad to I want something meaningful from a step daughter to a step dad he has been in my life since I was 11! Question: How do you learn to forgive? Posted: 17 May 2015 08:44 PM PDT How do you forgive a person that used you beyond words, and beat you to get to where he was going in life. How do you forgive a person that constantly lies to others to escape legal action being taken for the domestic assault he has done. People are looking at it as my getting even because the day I discovered that he was only using me for sex and never really valued at least our friendship, he chose to beat me instead. I was only trying to understand how he climbed out of my bed knowing he was already engaged. I was with this man while he was separated but had no idea he already had a fiancee in another state before his divorce was final. So the day I discovered it I sent her a message to truly want to know what was going on. When he found out, he lashed out and beat me beyond words. This wasn't the first time. So I ask how do I forgive myself and forgive him so I can move on with my life. I held out for the police department but was given the impression that they are looking at it as I am a jilted ex who went looking for trouble. Now he stands a chance at getting away with everything. |
Question: Are these wedding costs appropriate? Posted: 17 May 2015 08:18 PM PDT I am okay with finances but I could be better. My fiance and I live in a major city. Each of us have only graduated college a couple years ago. My salary is $63k a year, hers is $60k, we have no debt. The price of paying for our home, utilities, groceries, transportation, insurance, gym membership is approximately $2,320 a month. This doesn't include extras like going out to eat, buying clothes, etc. I know the average cost of a wedding is $25,000. Still, when she told me about the venue she really wants, I felt like I couldn't breathe. It's $16,000 to have the ceremony and reception there. It's at this very luxurious yaht club and it is beautiful but still. I've talked to some friends and co-workers about their weddings and most of them said their venues cost $1,000-$3,000. The venue is most important to her so I said if she wanted that, she'd have to budget the rest better. So the catering is $2,000 for about 300 people. Her dress and veil are $950. She has a makeup artist/hair stylist and a photographer who offered both their services for free as wedding gifts. The limo is $1,000. The invitations will hardly cost us anything. She isn't buying new jewelry or shoes. There is no wedding planner. So far, we're at $19,950, a few more costs left. I think I'd like to cap it at $25,000 at the MAX. We were going to go to Greece for the honeymoon but I may change that if it's overbudget. Limo is a typo, it is not actually that high. Ok you guys seem to agree about the venue. Thing is I haven't sugguested we tour another yet. While it may seem snobbish for such a high priced venue I feel she just wants it because it was her "dream" as a kid. My fiance is the same girl who lights up if I suprise her with $5 flowers or her favorite soup so if I show her another venue, she should accept that too. I just want her to be really happy so if there was a way I could give her what she wanted, I wanted to do it as long as we didn't have to sacrifice too much in other areas. Neither of us want kids either and we want to stay where we live now, not buy a house, I might add so there wouldn't be any saving to start a family. |
Posted: 17 May 2015 08:04 PM PDT Does anyone know of some inexpensive yet beautiful wedding sites in either the Space Coast/Brevard County/Orlando area for a wedding? Shooting for May 2016 for a Saturday evening ceremony. Anticipate around 100 guests. Uniqueness/privacy a plus, prefer having a view of some body of water (lake, ocean, river, etc.) |
Posted: 17 May 2015 07:54 PM PDT Will be inviting about 200, maybe more, and not needing to spend a fortune. Suggestions? |

Question: Can you go anywhere and have an engagement ring you want made? Posted: 17 May 2015 06:38 PM PDT Me and my boyfriend are planning on getting married but we cant seem to find the ring i want anywhere but at one place and the reviews are not so good i have came down to two different ones i just wanna know if i can go somewhere else and get it made the way i want. |
Posted: 17 May 2015 05:51 PM PDT I had asked my "fiance" to take engagement pictures with me and he said he would rather wait because they dont "mean anything" well we have been "engaged" for almost 3 years.. and he makes me feel like its just a promise ring. What is your opinion |
Question: What do I do if this continues? Posted: 17 May 2015 05:45 PM PDT My friend talked to me about a purity ring. She asked me where's your purity ring? So i went out and bought myself a purity ring. Well what happened was that I lost weight and then went out and bought another purity ring that fits. I tried talking to the bf ( boyfriend) about it but he won't answer. I'm not trying to say that it's my friends fault for telling me about a purity ring. But people are gonna think that I'm engaged or married. when your suppose t wear the purity ring on your left ring finger. It's your own personal promise to god. I mean my choice to wear it. when my boyfriend found out about the purity he felt bad. like he didn't want me to wear the ring or something. he's not saying anything about it. when i'm near him. he seems to like the ring because he likes to move it around my finger. like he twirls it around my finger. I'm like what is he doing? I didn't want him to go out with my friend because now i know what he's like. All he does is just plays video games and when i talk on the phone with him he says he's multi tasking. I just basically want a guy that walks in the house and says," Hey, I'm your husband." He eats junk food and candies. and he doesen't stop playing video games. until it's like one or four o' clock in the morning. guess who's the one that just wants a job to make money with? Me!! I got a phone interview coming my way with the disney travel agency. |
Question: Asking someone to Marry Me? Posted: 17 May 2015 05:20 PM PDT So was wondering if it is possible to ask someone to marry them at a movie theater? I want to make a sort clip (Star Wars intro style (on movie maker in Windows) which sorta talks about us meeting and a future together, and then at the end it asks her to marry me) I guess my multi questions question are/is 1: will a theater work with me? (Haven't called yet) 2: can I use the starwars theme song without going through copy right fun? 3: does this sound like a good idea? (Btw she's a big starwars fan and we love movies) |

Question: VENUE SEARCH HELP!!? Posted: 17 May 2015 10:00 AM PDT I live in Atlanta Georgia. I host a dance event every year for charities. This year I'm raising money for the Children's hospital. I've searched up and down for venues within my budget, but they all rejected it. I'm running out of options. Does ANYONE know or can help me get a venue that can hold about 300 people for September 19th from 5 pm- 1am.... Please email me at brazilbabe16@gmail.com |

Question: Would it be wrong for me to not invite my stepsiblings to my wedding? Posted: 17 May 2015 03:24 AM PDT My parents divorced when I was 11. My mom married my stepdad when I was 14 (they have no kids) and my dad married my stepmom when I was 15 (she has four kids). Three of my stepsiblings are older than me (all are in their late 20's). One is younger and he still lives with my dad and stepmom during the week and his dad every second weekend. I never had a relationship with the older three, which is partly due to the fact two were in jail when my dad and stepmom first got married and the other was living in another state. All three of them have been in serious legal trouble and have never really liked the fact their mom married my dad. One is currently married, the other two are divorced. I'd rather avoid the drama of having them at my wedding. Especially since two are addicts and the other has issues with violence. The younger one I'd have no problem inviting. But he's taking after the others. He was at his half sisters (dads daughter) wedding three months ago and destroyed the wedding cake, cursed at people he "didn't like the look of" and made a huge scene that resulted in his mom and the police being called. I don't want that drama at my wedding. But my dad said my stepmom still wants me to invite them. She said it would mean a lot to her if I tried. And she doesn't seem to understand why i don't want to. She says it's wrong. My fiancé and I are paying for everything. And he agrees with me. Neither of us wants the drama that will come if they are there. |
Posted: 17 May 2015 12:19 AM PDT I am a groomsman in my friends wedding. I'm 23, she is probably 22 or so, and she is married. Today is the day before the wedding. I knew I was going to be walking down the isle with her so I went up and introduced myself at the rehearsal tonight just so it wouldn't be awkward later. I asked her if she had seen where the bridesmaids were staying at, and she very promptly told me she isnt staying there because she's married. I was a little confused but I didnt think much of it and said ok and walked away. Then later when we were practicing walking down the isle, the people in charge of the music said that they are going to play an upbeat song after the bride and groom kiss. So they wanted all the bridesmaids and groomsmen to kinda walk/dance as they walk out. After we finished we were smiling and laughing a bit and I said, have you ever been to a wedding like this before? And she said, well I just got married 8 months ago, in kind of an stuck-up tone and just walked away. I was so surprised how full of herself she was, I just laughed in my head and left. But now, later tonight the groom comes up to me and says, so I hear you have been trying to talk with a married girl, my fiance told me that her bridesmaid had to keep reminding you she is married and not interested. Anyways, that stuff just really frustrates me because it is so stupid. Honestly I wouldn't even say anything, but it bothers me she is telling other people stupid lies. What should I say, and how should I say it. |
