Question: Are first impressions redeemable? Posted: 24 May 2015 05:06 PM PDT i make crap first impressions but that's mostly because i can't be bothered to make small talk or make people feel comfortable if i have to go out of my way to do it. so yeah im a lazy *** but my friends love me for it (now they've gotten to know me). but for you, do you give people second chances if they've completely turned you off the first time you met them? |
Question: Should I do my roommates dishes when I do my own? Posted: 24 May 2015 05:06 PM PDT I live with three other pepole. I always hand wash my dishes cause I think it is easier than the dishwasher. Anyways one of my roommates (who is a total ***** and I don't like) asked me to do the dishes. But I always do mine. Should I do their dishes? It would just be the dishwasher. We have also only been living together for about a month. I haven't done the dishes at all because like I said I do my own. Do you think that is fair? If it was just the ***** roommate I would say no; but my other roommate's are cool. So I don't know. |

Question: Girl not doing the work on OUR project?!? Posted: 24 May 2015 04:59 PM PDT ok so i have a Spanish project due Tuesday and i was originally planing to do the project by myself but my "friend" (who is only my friend when she needs something) kept asking and asking so i said yes and i started the project did a good amount of it so far and she hasn't done any of it. And also she started ignoring me for no reason wont even talk to me about the project and started talking to this girl she claims she hates. So she has one more day to do her side of the project. Now i don't care about this girl and her grade but i am really good friends with this other girl who she is friends with so i dont want her talking about me but im not going to let her get away with not doing the project so should i tell the teacher? Or in my project im wring paragraphs so i could keep saying in all of them megan and i so the teacher gets the hint? Or not say anything? |

Question: Is my friend mad at me? Posted: 24 May 2015 04:53 PM PDT We've been friends 4 over 2 yrs. we kinda grew apart but in the last month or so, we've been really close. 2day, I texted her and she seems 2 get upset or act upset over half my texts. I'm not being mean or anything. For example, I got all my friends a present after a trip. I texted her 2 let her know that I got her 1 n she thanked me 4 it. But then it came up that I got our other friends presents 2. Then she texted: I thought we were better friends than that (with a crying face emoji) I dunno if she's just jealous but she's done that w/ a few of my texts. Texts that have nothing 2 do w/ my other friends. Just small talk about her fish and stuff. Lol. I'll text her and ask if she's mad at me and she says no but something just doesn't exactly feel right. I dunno if she's actually mad at me or if she's just having a bad day or something. 😕 |

Question: I'm 15. Is it alright that my best (and only) friend is a 9 year old girl? Posted: 24 May 2015 04:36 PM PDT I'm a boy BTW. I was bullied at my school, and am now being homeschooled. I hate people my age, they are so mean. I have no common ground with them. All I love is history and my pet goats. I am depressed because I have no friends. Right down the streets lives a 9 year old I am good chums with. Her name is Nora. I like this little girl a lot, and I mean a LOT. She and I have so much in common. We roll around in the grass together, play hide and seek, watch Spongebob, (Her and my favorite show) climb hills, swing on playground sets, have races, ride bikes, and go barefoot everywhere. I play with her all the time. I admit I am not as mature at my old age as I should be. This little girl has a very sad life. Her mother was murdered by her father, who is now spending life in prison, and she can't see him. She is an only child, and lives with her grandmother. This woman sometimes hits her when she does not do what she is told, and I have seen bruises on her legs before. She is small for her age, weighting only 65 pounds, and has a mean teacher in her third grade class. She told me sometimes her grandmother denies her food. She trusts in me a lot of things, and cries when she gets sad and I tell her everything will be ok. She views me as her adoptive big brother, and this child and I are great pals. I never dream of hurting her sexually, and would kill anyone who did. I know this is not normal, but it's not bad, is it? One of the main reasons I like this little girl so much is because she is so cute. It is so sad about her home life though. |
Question: I feel as if I have all the wrong people around me? Posted: 24 May 2015 04:29 PM PDT I love my family. But a lot of them are snakes and have back stabbed me all the time and try to just use me for money. I want to distance myself. But don't know how to live with it being that people are passing everyday. I feel so free when I'm not around them. Its like they try to put me in a box and always want to see me down and sad. Any advice? |
Question: Should I write a letter? Posted: 24 May 2015 04:28 PM PDT So I am giving stuff back to a girl that was my best friend for a couple of months. I am giving it back in a way that could be percieved as mean but it isn't intended that way. I am thinking about writing her a letter to explain how hurt I was by how she got rid of me. The things I am giving back are things that have signs of our friendship. I really don't care if she gets mad but I want her to truly understand how I felt and how hurt I was. Should k write the letter? |
Posted: 24 May 2015 04:27 PM PDT met my boyfriend online about a week ago, we started talking and we started dating on Wednesday. BUT I barely talk to him. this is the third day that we didn't talk during the day, but we talk at night? And sometimes he just reads my message and not reply so I text him again a few hours later. his time is 3 hours ahead of mine ( if it's 12 here its 3 where he is) he says he thinks I'm very beautiful, last night I asked what made him want to date me and he said god. (He's spiritual) and I like him and want to talk to him more. What do I do? And why do you think we don't talk much? Am I stupid for being in a long distance relationship? |
Question: How to deal with having no friends? Posted: 24 May 2015 04:26 PM PDT So I really don't have any friends, every weekend is the same. I never do nothing, I'm just stuck here in my room all day bored. I feel that I have no social life. And at school I also don't have friends. I talk to some people but I don't hang out with them outside of school during the weekend like everyone does With their friends. How can I make friends and not be bored here stuck in my room all day. Question: Should a msg my old friend? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:25 PM PDT So awhile like a year and a half my friend who i liked at the time i asked her out got rejected took to long but we were like best friends and basically i was butt hurt lol for like 8 or 9 months and we were friends since the 6th grade now going into 11th i dont go to her school anymore ... i failed the 7th grade got enrolled in a cyberschool never told her that i got distant then with almost everybody i reconnected with her in what would have been my 9th grade year she would always ask "hey are you coming to the high school this year " and i never wanted to tell her cause at the time i liked her , i just miss the conversations we used to have we used to talk for 6 hours straight into midnight ... idk she was just really good to me but i dont know if i should try to interact with her again i waited too long from 7th grade to 9th grade and from like middle / end of 9th till end of 10th she will never trust me again. Question: Should i give my ex-friend this back? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:22 PM PDT Well, a few years ago, she changed schools and gave me her school identification card before she left.(its similar to a drivers license. it has a bar code to scan for lunch, and it has her picture. Ill insert an example pic if you dont know what im talking about.) Its been 4 years now and we're in high school, but we arent friends anymore. (its a long story, that i dont want to tell). I found her identification card in my closet while i was cleaning it out and i dont want it because we're not friends anymore, and i dont want to be reminded of her because it makes me sad. Its kind of weird to keep it now. Should i give it back and say keep it as a memory or would it be mean? Also, how should i approach her because she doesn't want anything to do with me, and the last time i did she gave me a nasty attitude, talked down to me like trash and ran away. Anyway, how should i approach her and explain that i dont want it anymore. Thanks -(the picture below is a school id card if you didnt know what i was talking about)- This is only an example :) |
Question: What would do? Please read!? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:21 PM PDT Hello. What would you do, if your sis and law asked you to babysit because she gonna volunteer to give away flyers for color run for a free admission but to her surprised, they gave her 2. SHE knew I was dying to go but didn't have the money to buy it. She offered all of her friends if they wanted the extra ticket except for me. I watched her baby so she can get the tickets. If is was just one I know it was for herself, I didn't mind but why she didn't offer me her extra ticket? Am I over re -acting? I knew she was fake and she act like she care about me but I know she dont. I just want to show hubby that I tried to bond with his sisters but obviously they dont. Nothing I can do. I'm a good person btw. Tips on how to cut them off in a non dramatic way? Not the first time, all his sisters has done pretty messed up things to me but I always end up trying with them again for my husband. They never apologize for their mistakes either. Advise and tips are welcome. They live a few blocks away from me. How to not go to their invitations? Like birthday parties and such? How to show them that I don't want to be bothered by them with out saying a word? What did you do, if something like this had happened to you? Anyone can relate to me? Thank you in advanced!!! GBY |
Question: I'm starting to like my female best friend? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:20 PM PDT Me and my friend have been talking for more than a year. She is really smart, funny, and pretty. We share alot of common interests and ways of thinking. However, we don't hang out that much since she lives in a different area and we don't go to the same school. Anyways, I started noticing these feelings recently. A few signs of it include me getting mad when she doesn't reply, me bringing up my love life to her and how I want a girlfriend, stuttering and sweating when I talk to her, etc. The only problem is that I don't know if she feels the same way. I think she sees me more as an advice giver and a fun person to hang out with, rather than someone who she can be romantic with. She always tells me about how she wants a boyfriend. I see those conversations as ways to compliment and get closer to her. I don't know what to do, because I don't want to ruin the friendship and make it awkward when we hang out. But I also don't want to hold it in, because I start to like her more and more every day. What should I do? |
Question: I got drunk and ruined our friendship, please give me advice? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:18 PM PDT My friend and I were getting very close recently, especially because we ended up getting the same job after we graduate from our graduate school. Our program had a final end of the year dinner with an open bar, and I happened to have too much to drink. My friend had to help me get home, in which during the time he told me he had feelings for me, and I was drunk and responded by pushing him away, jumping in random cars, and holding his hand. We met up again today with a mutual friend and he claims he wants to talk about it another time, but was civil and normal to me. I don't know how to handle this situation, if at all, given that I will have to work with him again in the summer. Any advice at this point would be great. EX: should I text him I am sorry again, or perhaps to talk about it? Should I just move on and not talk to him about it? |

Question: Should I go back to my Summer class on Tuesday after an embarrassing episode Friday? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:04 PM PDT Last week was the beginning of my Summer French class, and I had trouble understanding the homework so I left a few blank. The professor goes around the room in order and we say what the answer was then he says if we got it right or not...He got to me and the one I was supposed to do was one of the ones I left blank. I said I didn't understand it and he goes, "okay, Mark, we'll just give it a try and do your best", but with everyone staring at me, I choked and didn't say anything. I sat there for give minutes in silence while everyone waited. Then the professor asked me again to give an answer, then something came over me. I don't know if it was anxiety or what, but I just got a really angry look on my face and stared the teacher down and I sweated too. Then I started breathing heavy and I felt my face turn red. For a good three minutes, I just stared at the teacher with an angry look but he didn't do anything. Then he made a joke and said, "the answer isn't on my face, I can tell you that much" and everyone started laughing. Then I threw a mini tantrum. I grunted and said a curse word and threw my book on the ground and I left. Should I go back and try to iron things out with the professor or just take the class in the Fall with a different professor? |
Question: Why do people get surprised? Posted: 24 May 2015 03:00 PM PDT When i do something better than most of my friends, for eg when i'm the best at something in Physical Ed. Or have a better grade than they do why do they look surprised? I mean i find myself average or below. At PE I'm not even praiseworthy nor my grades are brilliant. I'm just average in everything and i can't find a strong point of myself yet sometimes i see people are impressed with what i do |

Question: Is gifting a watch an appropriate gift for best guy friend s 18th birthday? Posted: 24 May 2015 02:37 PM PDT He always spends a lot of money on gifts for me. For my birthday this month, he bought me VS perfume and got a custom made shirt that said My bestfriend is going to ____ University, and on the back it said "_____ s bestfriend 19". For Christmas, he bought me VS perfume (he bought the wrong one at first so he had to buy it again for my birthday), a scarf, and a college shirt to the college I m going to. He also bought me a cake for my birthday. So he s spent around 70 on gifts for me each time. For his birthday last year, I bought him a custom visor with his name on it and made him a card. For Christmas, I gave him a CK Wallet & card. For his 18th birthday, I plan on getting him an Armani Exchange watch that costs around 120 and then do the "Open When..." letters since we ll be going off to college on opposite sides of the US. I m super close to him and his family; they re like my second family, and he s the sweetest boy to me. Is this an appropriate gift for an 18 year old girl to give to an 18 year old guy? he doesn't have a girlfriend. he basically treats me like his lmao |
Question: UGH WE ARE SO NOT BEST FRIENDS ANYMORE!!!!!? Posted: 24 May 2015 02:30 PM PDT so this girl at school, i used to call her my best friend, but we've sorta grown apart. i started to talk to her less and less because all she wants to talk about is video games and pokemon and stuff boys like. she's a tomboy and i'm a girly girl. i like fashion and makeup and singing and dancing, stuff like that. everyone thinks we're best friends because she goes around telling people that. we are total oppisites and she's been very rude and bossy and mean to me this school year (we have one week left of school). she didn't take the hint that i didn't wanna be friends so i just started to push her away and she got upset and tried starting drama. ugh. i explained to her that i thought that she wouldn't like the stuff i talk about. and that i wasn't trying to push her away, i just don't really relate to her squad which is why i hang out with a different clique. but she thought that was my way of apologizing and gave me a big hug at school (it was at the random-est of times) and called me her bff and tried to talk to me about video games and pokemon and minecraft which is so mind-numbingly boring to me (no offense fan girls and boys). i told her i don't like that stuff, but then she became all bossy again and said "i didn't ask for your opinion so shut up". and kept on talking. should i ignore her again and just not explain why this time. i tried to be nice, but it obviously didn't work out. next school year, i don't even wanna be near her, ugh. Help!!! |
Question: Time Differences and Friendship.? Posted: 24 May 2015 02:29 PM PDT Hello! I have a serious question. Recently one of my best friends moved to Israel. And it is super hard to keep in contact with each other because by the time I wake up, she is going to bed. Does anyone have tips on how I can keep in touch with her while we are BOTH awake? |

Posted: 24 May 2015 02:28 PM PDT Part of me has been wondering, about a couple of people I used to know, and there's this employee at Safeway, who has the same first name, as one of them. So far, he's the only person I know of, who might know where my friend, his name sake, is. Not that he would. The other friend, I'm wondering about, he likely never knew. But I might just forget about it, because all 3 people have something about them, that I never could tolerate them very well. |
Question: Is giving ultimatums to end friendships acceptable? Posted: 24 May 2015 02:26 PM PDT About two weeks ago, my coworker/friend confronted me about some of my behavior and accused me of verbally attacking her. I stood there and listed to what she said and I tried to explain my side and tried to defend her accusations towards me without being emotional about it. While there may have been some times where I may have been harsh or the deliverance or my comment wasn't executed properly, there were some accusations which were taken out of context (I didn't realize that at the moment because I was trying to listen to her side). She did ask if there was something she did to warrant that type of behavior or if there was something she does that didn't sit well with me. I gave her an example of her rolling her eyes on a particular occasion but it was brushed off by saying "I do that all the time." The conversation ended up with her saying that if she needs to drop me as a friend she will if my behavior didn't change. I did ask her to let me know when things bother her and I will fix whatever it is I am doing and that it wasn't intentional. At the time, I just listed to what she had to say and processed the information on my ride home. I realized that not only did she misinterpreted my words but she also gave me an ultimatum. Regardless, I took what she had to say and I maintained my distance from her because I didn't want her to feel nothing had changed. So, my question is, was her telling me that she will "drop me as a friend" an ultimatum. And is that acceptable? |

Question: What should I do? Immature friend? Posted: 24 May 2015 01:55 PM PDT we have been friends since 3rd grade, and going on 17 this year and I get so irritated with her now. She's always had the baby voice, imitating a 3 year old and acting that age as well. I've told her I don't like affection but she keeps pushing it and I get so annoyed I can't wait to go home. I'm sick of feeling like I'm friends with a toddler or a touchy maniac, or both sometimes. I mean she's been sexual with boys but she still acts so little, it's just odd for me. I always feel like my mindset is much more mature and we don't connect on that level making our friendship strained at times when I get pretty fed up and distance myself. I don't want to be mean, I care for her and don't want her to feel bad but I can't go on like this for another 7 years. Please help, I'm starting to distance again |

Question: How to deal with hypocritical friends? Posted: 24 May 2015 01:49 PM PDT My friends and I are all musicians, (in high school) and, last Oct., we started a music group. My friend, whom I will call Mary, had the first idea to make this group, and called us all into it. She said that we could only be in it, though, if we were serious about being in it, because we could get paid for this, depending on where our gigs were. But, a few months ago, she went off with two other people from the original group, and started another small group. She just totally abandoned the original group. How do I deal with her being hypocritical? |

Question: A good friend stole from me? Posted: 24 May 2015 01:39 PM PDT I have been suspecting him for stealing various things like my watch, phone charger, money from my wallet that I left in his car, and now, money from my house. He slept over last night and in the morning I was in the living room and heard him at the counter in the kitchen, I peaked over there and saw him taking quarters out of a jar. When I went over there they were already in his pocket, and he wanted to buy a tin of chewing tobacco. He said he had 3 dollars and he needs one more for it but he thinks he has quarters in his car. I suspected he would just use the ones in his pocket. That shows me that instead of asking me for a dollar that I would've gladly given him, he would steal it from me. He always has amazing excuses when asked about something he did wrong almost like he thought about it in advance. But this is the first time I have actually caught him. I haven't told him that I saw it yet but idk what to do. This makes me sure that he also stole those things listed above. WHAT SHOULD I DO? he is/was a great friend. I don't want to fight him (I could easily win). I want my stuff back. I don't want to lose this friendship but it looks like ill have to ( he is also friends with my brother which poses a problem. |

Question: Help! What should I do in this situation.? Posted: 24 May 2015 01:26 PM PDT Earlier today I was around a friends house and there was 5 of us (including me) 2 of us are 12 and 3 of us are 13. One of the girls phoned her dad to come and collect her and she was speaking in Arabic on the phone (that's the language they speak in her house) so as a joke I tried to imitate what she was saying and immediately my friend nearest to be slapped me across the face viciously and said "shut up! Hahahahah" and another friends was watching this who was sitting about a meter away and she got up and repeatedly hit me across the head while they were both laughing and my other friend who was still sitting a meter away was laughing. I felt like crying because it was unexpected, really hurt and I felt like I didn't deserve it. What should I do? Am I over reacting and should I just leave it? Or should I send them a group message? Please can someone help and please specify what I should say in the text if I send it. Thanks xxx |

Question: How to guilt my mom into not breaking her promises? Posted: 24 May 2015 01:24 PM PDT My mom is always yelling about not having enough money but she's always out shopping when she isn't working and than she'd make all these big promises and break them but find away to make me feel at fault. Like we planned this trip to California and at first I was gonna buy the plane ticket but than my mom said that she'd drive there instead, as a 17 th birthday present we( my mom, my friend and me) were gonna spend a week with my grandma who lives down there. My friend being the big spender she is found out the ed sheeran was gonna be performer near my grandmas apartment one of the days we where suppose to be down there so she bought amazing tickets $150 each as a little gift and also bought a warpedtour ticket because we were planning on going to warpedtour but my mom suddenly canceled, no reason at all just decided that she wasn't gonna take us anymore. I recently got a part time job so my first paycheck goes to paying my friend back the money she waisted and probably the paycheck after that, not to mention my friend is made at me because my mom bailout of what would have been an awesome experience for my friend. Posted: 24 May 2015 01:20 PM PDT I asked my friend (let's call her B) to go to her house the other day, and she said that she was bored so I should come over. It took me about an hour or so to get permission though, and wait for my grandma to get finished with cooking so she could walk me over (my friend lives in our neighborhood a few blocks away). But when I came, there was nobody there so I called my friend up and asked. She told me to follow a kid in a gray shirt who'd come out and hung up. I started getting scared like who is this guy ? What's happening? So I asked the guy where my friend was and he said he'd go get her but he never came back so I left. When I was walking home I called B up and she said she was doing yardwork. I was like WTF? I thought I was coming over and she said I took to long. By that time I was pissed so I let it go but I asked if I could come over tomorrow instead and she said yeah. I didn't want a repeat of that day so the next day I asked her again to make sure. That's when she said "no u cant, my mom's mopping the floor." It felt fishy and I said "okay but can u ask ur mom if I can come over when she's done" and she said "my mom said no, and I cant i'm hanging out with friends." I got pretty mad so I just said okay and left. I felt it was rude bc if she didn't want me over she could've just said so. We're pretty close. What should I do? What do you guys think? |

Question: Why am I treated like this? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:51 PM PDT Ever since my family and I have moved into the neighborhood about a year or two ago my parents got close with 2 of our neighbors. At first I got along with the boy ( let's call him Ben) and the other neighbor's daughter let's call her Anna. Ben and Anna are or were a couple, I am honestly not 100% sure. Anyway, Anna didn't like me at first because she thought I liked Ben. But I didn't. That was a lot of drama and our parents made us "talk it through" a year ago. From then on Anna and I would talk more and hang out, go to the movies and do things like that. But I don't like to talk to Ben anymore. He would run and tell Anna whatever we would talk about. Our families get together almost every weekend. This weekend family from Anna's came to my house as well. And they all left me out and ignored me. Everytime some of Anna's family comes around she ignores me and excludes me and completely forgets about my existence until she wants/needs something. I feel dumb and unwanted. I don't know what to do anymore I don't want to be surrounded by these people anymore. Even my mom sees how she excludes me whenever Ben or her family or anyone else comes around... She just mentions "they'll see what i'll do" but she never does anything.. Any thoughts or advice please....? |
Question: How controlling is too controlling? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:40 PM PDT I'm 16 and allowed to do very little without one of my parents basically being my shadow. I'm also not allowed to sleep over at other people's houses and, minus my best friend, not allowed to have anyone sleep over at mine. Does this seem excessive to anyone else? |
Question: My friends lied and ditched me should I be mad? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:39 PM PDT I had a sleepover with some friends and we snuck out of the house in the middle of the night to go to a park down the street and talk but two of my friends didn't want to come. When we got back we played some board games and the same two friends chose to sleep instead. Then we started talking about a glorun that I'm doing with someone and invited everyone to join our group and the two friends said that they were already doing one and to join there group because there's was more official and mine was probably a scam which it wasn't. So anyway they were just being very cliquey and kind of stuck up about everything but I just ignored it. The next day I was going to go to a carnival type thing with those two so I texted them to get the details. One never answered and the other said she couldn't go anymore because she had other plans a couple towns over with her family. Since they were busy I went with another friend. I then saw a picture that they posted of them at the carnival so they had both lied to me and ditched me. I texted them saying that was really rude of them and they said I was rude at the sleepover but I don't know what I did. They then told one of our other friends that they did all of it on purpose just to upset me. How should I go about this situation? It really upset me that they did this but should I just forget about it or should I talk to them and ask what I did that was rude? |
Question: How can I help my anorexic friend? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:29 PM PDT My friend has a really unsupportive home life. Since 8th grade she's struggled with cutting and eating disorders. Earlier this year (11th) she was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. The thing is, you'd never know. She's so nice. She's a perfectionist. She's the one everyone and anyone can confide in. Everyone calls her when life's crap happens. But I feel bad for her. Her thighs are covered in deep scars and scabs. She doesn't show them off but she occasionally wears shorts and I've seen them. Also she skips meals a lot. She's at a healthy weight right now but she's having to fight a relapse really hard right now. She always gets depressed when we sit down to eat lunch. She's also been suicidal in the past but doesn't tell anyone I want her to be happy. Idk I want her to get better. She goes to therapy 1-2 times a month but her parents don't support her. And if she didn't tell you, you wouldn't know cause she hides it so well. |
Question: My best friend was stolen from me? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:26 PM PDT Lets call my friend "Brittnay". She's been ditching my 2 other friends and I so she could go hang out with her other 6 friends. But her "friends" treat her very badly. They make her carry their books They almost got her suspended They take her stuff without permission They always copy her homework I overheard them talking, and it turns out that they just stole her from us! They are just using her! They tried to take me too, but I refused to go with them because they are very mean girls. I've tried telling Brittnay, but she thinks we're just jelouse. Britney said, "They stand up for me!" That's not true. They laughed at her when she got picked on. "Tell me," she said. "When do you guys have my back?!" So I told her, "I could name lots of times when we had your back!" 1. When she got bullied, we almost ripped the bully's head off 2. When she lost her mother, we were there to make her smile again 3. If she's in trouble, we take the blame for her so she doesn't get punished 4. We were there for her whenever she was sad 5. We dried her tears when she cried 6. We would always let her talk to us about anything. 7. We were always there for her when she needed a favor 8. We filled her heart with joy and laughter everyday 9. We always listened to her when she disagreed about something 10. We actually cared about her feelings. We were her friends, but now she treats us like garbage! What do I do?! Don't answer if your gonna cuss or be mean! |
Question: Have you ever wished someone happy birthday, but it wasn't their birthday? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:25 PM PDT I just accidentally wished my friend happy birthday, but her birthday isn't for another couple of days. I feel really embarrassed, but then again, we haven't been friends for almost a year. and just a couple of weeks ago, we "reunited." |
Question: How to help my friend care about herself? Posted: 24 May 2015 12:23 PM PDT My good friend told me at the beginning of this year that she's prediabetic and has "sugar issues", confidentially. I'm worried for her cause she seems to take no care for her health. She's 17. In gym, she refuses to run or try hard or anything. She just wants to sit. She's slightly overweight but it's all in her stomach. She eats a TON of crap. She can drive so she normally gets breakfast on her way to school. It's normally a white bagel with loads of cream cheese. During her free every day, she goes to the cafeteria and always makes me come along. She normally gets a chocolate croissant and an uncrustable. Then she eats lunch sometimes (normally a sandwich and an apple and chips). Idk maybe I'm nosy. But I'm worried. I've encouraged her gently to come work out with me or try in gym but she refuses. And I don't know what else I can do. Is it even my place? |
