Posted: 14 May 2015 11:36 PM PDT He told me he really wants to wear it. Also cause he wants to wear a ring that shows he is taken. He said he was jealous that I am wearing one of rings which is my engagement ring so he wants to wear his wedding band. |

Question: Bridal Shower Gift..Is this good? Posted: 14 May 2015 08:18 PM PDT I haven't been to too many Bridal Showers and so my friends Inviatation it said where she was registered and that their would be a bridal brunch. My friend's bridal shower registry consisted of a lot of kitchen/home stuff like glasses/plates/wine glasses/vases/picture frames/mixers..etc...not items really "for her" .. I got her the Stainless Steel Toaster Oven on her registy is that good??? I read online here that gifts should be for her the bride....but like she had mostly appliances lol...and she's one of my old co workers/good friend. I'm just worried now from stuff I've been reading. |

Question: What should I get my BFF for her wedding? Posted: 14 May 2015 04:14 PM PDT My best friend is getting married and I want to get them both a special gift. Problem is I don't have much $ to spend since I go to college. They're both living together already so they don't need any more new dishes. I don't want to get them the same thing everyone else gets. Any suggestion? Just to be clear, the gift is not just for my best friend but for both of them! |
Question: Hat should I gift my best friend for her wedding? Posted: 14 May 2015 03:56 PM PDT She is already living with her future husband so I don't want to get her the standard kitchen utensils or towels. I'm a student so don't have much money to spend. I have no clue what to get. What do you suggest? She doesn't have a gift registry either. Wow, can someone actually offer a real suggestion!!! Yes I realize the gift is not just for the bride, I thought I'd mention she was my best friend so that you all know that I want to give her a special gift not Towels or house-ware items like the majority of guests will give her. I'm sure she'd accept any gift but I want to give her a thoughtful gift, and "gift" can be used as a verb, just saying! |
Posted: 14 May 2015 02:27 PM PDT It wasn't "love at first sight" but we became interested after a few weeks. The first time we hung out alone we knew that we were starting a serious long term relationship. Now after 4 months were getting engaged. His parents will be happy but mine are not going to approve. My dad asked my mom to marry him after 2 months and she made him wait. My grandma was married at 17. Though my family likes him and has been happily married with similar conditions, they are going to protest. We don't plan on getting married a few months after getting engaged, but we're not going to wait 5 years either. I know that getting married young and after a short time is not for everyone, but we feel it's right for us. A lot of people spend their 20's drinking, partying, and finding who they are. He's 21 and has been on his own since he was 16, and I was in a relationship with someone emotionally unstable. This leaves us more mature than others in our age bracket. Our views align and we want to be financially stable before getting married. But my parents wouldn't approve unless I was with someone for years and years, they had never hurt me even in the slightest, and I was atleast 25. But we're not going to wait 6 years, how can I announce our engagement and have my parents support? |
Question: Does anyone know of any small venues in the Long Beach/Orange area of Southern California? Posted: 14 May 2015 02:08 PM PDT We are looking to have a reception only at a venue and are looking to save money. Our wedding seems to be around January-April of next year. We do not wan't to have it outside the LA/OC area. Our Budget at this point seems to be less than $10,000 We are hoping that by having it around the first quarter of the year, we can save money. Any additional tips and tricks would be appreciated. Thank you, in advance to everyone who contributes :] |
Question: Wedding Ceremony Drama? Posted: 14 May 2015 11:06 AM PDT My fiance and I recently got engaged and there is tension already. My mom wants us to have a traditional Catholic ceremony (would be required to take place in the church). His mom wants us to have a more Christian ceremony (not at a Catholic church and ordained by a minister my fiance grew up with). The closest I have gotten to a compromise is my mom agreeing to have a ceremony without mass. This would be a simple exchanging of vows and some scripture readings. However, my fiance does not want to have a priest preside the wedding which sends me back to square one. He said he is okay with having it at a Catholic church though. We haven't even brought the topic back up to his mom until we have some sort of solution ironed out. How can I get a compromise out of this? I don't want our wedding day to be full of tension. Please be respectful in your answers, thanks! |
Question: How to have a themed wedding? Posted: 14 May 2015 10:22 AM PDT Me and my fiancée are getting married in October so we've just started the minor preparations. We want to have a themed wedding but we're too sure what yet. Maybe literary characters, a Halloween theme, steampunk, something like that. The problem is we feel kind of bad asking all our guests to buy specific outfits for the day as some of them can be quite expensive. Is this okay or should we not be asking our friends and family to pay for outfits when the already have suits/dresses? |
Question: How to tell bridesmaids they pay for their own dresses? Posted: 14 May 2015 08:42 AM PDT So I am the maid of honor for my sisters wedding and I have a problem. All of our sisters and 3 of her closest friends are bridesmaids also and the bride is by no means rich. I read that it is very common to have the bridesmaids pay for their own dresses when the bride can't afford to pay for all of them. But I am not sure how to convey that in a nice way to her friends. My sisters understand but her friends are kind of... spoiled. How do I let them know in a nice way that they pay for their own dresses??? Please help.... Hello all, so sorry my question was confusing the first time around, I was simply asking how you would remind the bridesmaids (Who tend to be on the spoiled side and tend to have attitudes) that they have to pay for their own dresses?? This is not asking for your opinion on how my sister is choosing to handle HER wedding. Thank you. |
