I am making a big step by inviting my mother.We never had a good relationship with her since she made it quite clear that John(stepfather)is more important than I am.So I wanted not to invite my mom but then I thought that it would be a nice gesture and great opportunity to start a new relationship.I sent her invitation and she called me 2 days later with complaining that I am being b*tchy for not inviting John.John has weird sense of humour.He thinks calling me ugly and dumb is funny.When I was 18 I had beautiful green graduation dress and he said that its looks like someone had vomit on it..And then my mom and he busted in laughing...So I don't want him to create other uncomfortable situation at my own wedding...Now my mom said that if I am not inviting him she is not coming...I really want to cry because of it.My mom is my only family.I don't have other family members..My dad has left us more than 30 years ago(I am 34 now) and I have never heard about him again..What do I do ? My fiancé tells me to forget about it and uninvite my toxic mother so we could have nice wedding with friends and his family...

My son and his friend have been living together for several years, I have met his friend a few times, but we do live across the country from eachother. I received the "wedding" invitation in the mail, I'm not sure what to do. What happens at a homosexual "wedding"? Is it like a normal wedding? Why do homosexuals need to get "married"? Can I wear what I would wear to a normal wedding (the invitation says black tie)? Will the reception be like a normal wedding? I'm not very sure what will happen. I'm sure I will go, I love my son although I don't agree with all of his life decisions. His friend is rather nice and agreeable so at least he has chosen a good person to spend his life with. If this "wedding" is something they have chosen to do then of course I will attend.

My fiancé and I are opting to do a very small wedding, for intimacy and in order to save money. I would like catered food but my fiancé would like our families to prepare our dinner. He says wedding food is boring lol. Anyways, we are planning to have the wedding ceremony at a church in Kenner with about 75 guest. I am getting married in July and i am trying to figure out how many cupcakes will be a good amount. We will be serving fajitas for all the guest and we will have a candy bar as party favors. I am doing 1/2 a sheet cake for the grooms cake and that will feed 48 people. I am also doing a small cake on top of the cupcake stand that will feed 30 people. OH YAH BTW THERE WILL BE ABOUT 150 GUEST!

So I been dating my fiancee for 8 years we were 6 years when I proposed to her ...Now we are both 23 and I'm done with my career (have a house and car)she needs four more years so she can finish her career ... But the problem she is still living with her parents works does college and does chores in yhe house... I tell her to get ourselves married now so she can live with me and she doesn't have to work and we can pay for a maid so she doesn't have to do chores neither so she can be focused on school and on weekends we can go to places ...But she says she wants to finish her career first and then get married (all this eight years we have helped ourselves on school ) so it's nothing about distraction ...Should i wait for her or talked to her about it so she changes her mind

We're 6 days out from our wedding and everything, I mean EVERYTHING is done, we've got everything packed away that needs to be brought with us, everything is paid that needs to be paid, the officiant has the marriage license so that we don't forget it, etc. However, my future MIL asks me at least twice a day what else needs to be done and what can she do to help and how am I feeling and am I nervous etc and it's really getting on my nerves because I am fine until she starts asking me. I get that she is trying to help and is excited but it's just making things worse. How can I kindly ask her to chill without coming off as a b*tch? We purposefully planned things so that we wouldn't have to stress this last week before the wedding and would have time if anything came up at the last minute. I want to enjoy this week, not spend it stressed out, and her constantly asking how I'm doing and if she can help with anything etc is totally killing that. I get that she wants to help but it isn't helping, it's just stressing me out.

How much would a wedding with 40-50 guests cost? Any tips for wedding planing? Here are more details of what I have in mind: -I would like to have an indoor wedding in the late summer or early fall of 2016. -theme would be very classic, slighty vintage with Black & white with accents of blush pink. -I want to have around 40- 50 guests. -Just the wedding and a simple meal/reception afterwards. -No band. -My fiance and I would rent our tux and gown. -I wouldn't over do it with flower. I would try to find alternatives to using flowers since they can be so costly. -a photographer. I just want a moderate wedding... I dont need a BIG WEDDING. I am happy with something small, but I do want it to be beautiful (quality not quantity). I would rather have something small than be completely stressed about the cost and not be able to enjoy it. Ok so let me repost this... so we are getting married OCT 31 we have the cake lady already making our cake. We need to yet find a photographer witch we are on the look for that now. We have to yet look for a dj. We are getting married at his moms and having the reception there too. We may have a preist. I just need yet to get my dress. My stepmother has been in my life since I was 15. We've never been close. She never liked me. I think she just wanted my dad to herself (he left when I was 2 and we reconnected again when I was 14. I didn't meet her until I was 15). She's always tried to shun me and make me feel left out of their family. So I stopped trying with her a long time ago. Now, I'm getting married and she's realizing how it will look since I'm getting individual photos taken with my parents (separately and one together, which both agreed to). My fiancé is doing the same. My stepmother called me up yesterday, out of the blue, and said she wants me to have photos taken of just the two of us, too. I told her no, but then my dad called and asked me why I said no. He knows how she's always treated me and he knows she never wanted me. I don't want this to ruin the relationship we've built. So my cousin had a destination wedding and is having her wedding reception here in town for the family. It's a BBQ at our aunt's house, and she has stipulated no children are allowed. I'm not upset about that, it's her choice. However, she is upset with me because I had to decline due to a nursing child. This is my 4th child, and the only one who has refused to take a bottle or a pacifier. The point is, I cannot at this time accommodate the no child request and attend. How can I smooth things over with her? She has no children.

I remember exactly what it looked like: Very thin gold band, with 2 emeralds on each side of an opal that was slightly bigger The gems were extremely small, not very flashy but it was gorgeous to me.
