Posted: 29 May 2015 04:26 PM PDT Close friends for several years, went to her small wedding, close talks, fun, support...One night, over 3-4 years ago she was drunk, upset about abusive husband, went to a man's studio who I was close to. That man and I are now engaged. She says she doesn't remember that night but nothing happened. I heard about this initially from the man, I gave her a call and I was upset. She got defensive and said she didn't need the drama. She blocked me from her phone, fb account. That was the last time we talked. Years passed. She had a baby, divorce, started positive changes, a healing business and life practice. She seems to be doing well. She reached out to me over a year ago and we've been messaging each other and supporting each other from a distance. ONe night she was drunk, called me and insiste on meeting me. I said no. She ended up getting a dwi and arrested. we kept in touch still, i didn't judge her at all. we planned on meeting recently. before we did i got scared and told her i didn't want to get hurt again. I wanted to bring up the past to address it, make amends. she never faced me and turned her back on me. She says her life is peaceful now and that i was abusive to her. all I was doing was writing her to help her see that she was making me the scapegoat. its tearing me apart that she's making me out to be toxic and disturbing her peace. she refuses to meet with me. What do I say to her?I told her we should meet in person and the texting creates misunderstandings. |

Posted: 29 May 2015 04:24 PM PDT So I ended a friendship between a close friend and me because things weren't working...the friend was hurtful, acted like they were right and that I was wrong when ever mistakes were made...they showed no interest and acted rude when I said anything negative, such as constructive feedback. So, I'm graduating in a week and the former friend acted rude to me in class and played little games and discreet messages that only happened when it was just us to. My point: the guy talks to me more now, and jokes more like we were friends, quite different from a week ago..and now he asked to sign my yearbook. This is so hurtful that it had to end. I want to still continue it, but I cannot if he acts rude like this just because I ended it. ANYWAY, does he wanting to sign my yearbook say something? Should I let him? Thanks |

Over the course of this year, she's had different friends and so have I, but we always come back to eachother. Anyways, there's this girl we both know.. let's call her Lily. So Lily is actually closer to my best friend at the moment, then she is to me. However, she's really nice and is quite funny and overall her personality is wonderful. I've got absolutely nothing against her. But lately, she's been hanging around my best friend a lot. Lily and my friend, along with a group of people, go to the library every day after school to study. I never go, because I just don't like the library. So, over time, since me and my best friend rarely see each other (we have one class together), they've grown closer and had lots of great times as well. Today, I actually came along, thinking it'd be fine and I wouldn't be left out. It turned out that they were closer than I'd anticipated. They were laughing and joking around the entire time and just really having fun. Lily is really charismatic and hilarious, as well as loud, so I can see why my friend likes her. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I've just noticed that they seem to be having so much fun around eachother.. and when my best friend and I hung out today, it was rather calm and we didn't laugh as much. She also gets good grades, A- and above, and she brags about it and says stuff like "Aye me! I got an A- on my test, this is such a horrible grade! I'll probably get yelled at by my parents!" She also gets all this praise because how "creative" she is in presentations, but all she does is act cheesy and skip around humming. Plus, I'll find drawings and poems of herself. My parents are really overprotective and strict, and they don't approve of some of my closest friends. I know that they aren't the best kids in the world, and their parents aren't particularly good role models, but I love them so much. I have known them for nine years, and when we graduated we cried so hard. I want to explain to my parents that they aren't as bad as they think they are, and that they care for me in a way that is so special. I don't ever want to lose that and now I don't think that they will let me hang out with them anymore. Any advice on how to put my feelings into words? |

So towards the end of class when we do our own thing I tried to do a trick on the balance beam and I ended up SMASHING my vag really hard on the beam. I was hurting so badly and it would not go away! This other girl has done the Same thing before and she knew how to deal with the pain. Long story short I let her ruby my girly area since the pain was bad and it started to work but our teacher made a big deal out lf it. Why is it considered wrong? I don't think it gives me the right to use force to defend myself, but even if it does then I don't want to hurt anyone, I just don't want people to touch me. The reason why someone would want to hug me(or anyone they're not intimate with) is one thing I don't understand about hugging. I can understand that it provides us with feelings of trust, security, closeness and comfort when you do it with someone you're attracted to, but otherwise it's just weird and invasive. |

My dog died of cancer I had my first love, she knew I had a huge crush, she broke my heart by rubbing her boyfriend in my face, I became depressed, my brother started being rather abusive then left for the army, I dated a girl, I tried helping her a lot but she never listened. I eventually had to leave because she was worsening my depression, I started self harming. Recovered, and then made the mistake of dating a girl who was younger than me( we will call her BBL) She left because my past issues with self harm, I relapsed and fell back into my past. Eventually turned to drinking, isolating myself, and it got worse. Eventually my friend pulled me out of it and I got therapy, then slowly started to recover. I began trying to help other people try and get through stuff. So I tried to be the friend I never had. I started working out again and started getting ripped. Finally managed not to look ugly BBL and I became friends again, she started doing some obsessive things with other guys. I let her know that she is gonna get herself hurt, she told me to not be a wimp. She spends most of her days bitching about how she keeps letting guys slip through her fingers, then keeps running after them. Yet she wonders why her life sucks. I pretty much went through literal hell in my life, should she have any right to call me a wimp? |

So during my first semester of college, I made two friends, a guy and a girl. We started really good, but then they got increasingly jealous of me, because apparently, I was a favorite of professors--which I had no idea about. They claimed I was getting preferential treatment and getting easy A's because I charmed my way into my professors's good graces. Word gets out, I get angry (because it's not true--really, all I do is hard work, that's all!) and spread rumors about them, saying nasty things about them, especially about Yvonne (the girl). Things got worse and then it got cleared up (some people intervened and made all three of us talk). After all the dust settled, I felt guilty about what I did, so I tried to apologize to the two of them. Lucky (the guy) was real accepting and forgiving and we were back to talking about X-Men and Doctor Who. Yvonne, on the other hand, would have none of it. But I was determined. So I tried everything. There was a time when I sent her flowers and chocolates and a card. My flipping mistake! It just made things worse because her boyfriend thought I was her ex trying to get back with her (because of the apology and stuff). He breaks up with her, which she then blames on me. The day after her boyfriend breaks up with her, she comes to class humming George Michael's "Careless Whisper". So every time that song comes on the radio, a piercing pang of flipping guilt hits me! Eventually, I dropped out (due to monetary issues--but I'm now picking up where I left off) and she moves to a different school and I haven't seen her since. Why do I feel so guilty about it to this day? |

Well my mom is pretty much my only family. My estranged dad might show up and the rest of my family just really doesn t really give a damn. Although I m used to this being the situation, todays my graduation, and although I wont cry over it, it makes feel a little down and depressed. Well I was kind of venting this to a friend of mine and the first thing he asks is, "So can I have your extra tickets?" and it enraged me and I said "No! 10 isn t enough??" and he told me he wanted his extra friends to go. That was 2 weeks ago and today at graduation practice he comes up to me and whispers "tickettss..?" and as I said no again he pats me on the shoulder and says "remember the tickets" and walks away. Ill probably end up giving him them but it still angers me. I m not jealous, my life has made me a stronger person but he already has 10 family members going and he has the nerve to ask me for his friends after I tell him i m down? Well, I have these big summer parties every year, and last year I invited her. She was a party pooper, she was loud, and wild and obnoxious, and my other friends didn't like it. She got butt-naked in front of us, which was gross, and wouldn't eat the vegtable stew my mom made for the party. She NEVER even had it, and told her mom she hated the party because she didn't get the food she wanted, sushi. Something my friends and I hate. Well, she keeps asking me if I'm going to have one of those "epic parties" again. We have grown apart since last year, she never hangs out with me, but she invited me to her small daytime hour party. Im not even excited for summer like other people because I literally have nothing to do. Nothing makes me happy or even interests me and it sucks. The only thing I do is go to the gym for two hours which is one thing I like and that's basically it. I literally have all the time in the world and don't do anything. I don't have any friends since I started not considering most of them my friend because I don't feel happy when I'm with them and would rather be home. My family is poor and we never go on vacations of any kind so I'm basically stuck with nothing. It makes me depressed too, not being good at anything. Nothing interests me so I can't try new things. I don't really like doing stuff inside like art, I like adventuring and being with friends but I have none and don't really find anybody that u would actually want to be friends with. What should I do? Please help because sometimes boredom leads to feeling depressed and angry. |

We have the SAME EXACT SCHEDULE. Every class together, so I tended to know a lot about him. Then, in the middle of the school year, we were really good friends. He had a silly nickname for me, and my other friend and I made up a nickname for him. But now, towards the end of the school year, we've basically lost that friendship. I mean, we barely talk to each other unless we have to (partners in class or something.) I had so much fun with him at school. But, now we both so quiet around each other. We had to be partners today, and it was so awkward. Yet, his other friend still calls me by Jack's silly name-even though we really haven't talked for weeks. Does this mean anything? I mean Jack and this kid are like best friends. I miss this friendship. But, like the first time I lost a friend, if this doesn't work out, I'll move on, and focus on the friends who really care about me. |

I was crying really hard and I was breathing really hard and I was just really upset and I just felt like there was no point in living in this world if no one cared about me or loved me...(also a long long time ago I cut myself because it just started happening and I felt so alone) and i also think people have started realizing that I have been upset and NOW people just start talking to me and I just want them to like me for who I am and I want them to love me.I have a best friend and she loves me and I love her so much and she really cares about me but there are little things that make me feel like she is starting to hate me too,I just feel like shes all I got..There are one or two people that love me but I know things would be so much without me. I recently read lied about this and said it was my best friend but it was me cause I dont know what to do |

Posted: 29 May 2015 01:10 PM PDT I m pretty certain it s a lie, however it s not like I could be 100 percent because I wasn t with her. She was in a fight with another one of my friends and then said that she took 15 ibuprofen pills. I know this wouldn t kill her, but at the very least, it s absolutely not good and not okay for her to do that! However, she has a past history of lying. And I told her that if she actually did it that I was going to call 9-1-1 and she started freaking out and saying no, she would throw them up, and she was fine, etc. I talked to her on the phone and she sounded completely fine. No stomach pain, throwing up, anything. She said she s done it before and it s fine, and she s also had a past of saying she self-harmed. My other friend and I have never told an adult or parents before about what she s doing. It all seems like a lie, but its like crying wolf. What if one of these times she actually does it? Maybe she didn t take all the pills or self harm, but it s absolutely not okay for her to lie about that or say that ever. In my opinion its a cry for help or attention. I want to tell her mom, because if I dont, shell continue to say things like this or actually hurt herself. The only thing is, this would hurt her family so much and wreak so much havoc on them. Its not okay for her to lie. Its not okay for her to do that. I feel like her parents should know. i understand that shell hate me, but thats okay. I feel like this is the right thing to do. Thoughts/opinion/advice? We're 14 btw. So basically what I'm asking is, should I tell her parents that she's either doing it or lying about it? Everybody is like, "Adults didn't need to get involved… Blah, blah." But I'm so sick of her lying about that type of thing.. It just doesn't seem okay to me. |

Im kind of in between but closer to the not popular. I dont really have any friends, but i feel better knowing that most of the friendships that the popular people have are fake. Idk i just wish i was popular so i could get invited to parties and stuff. Am i missing out on any "high school experience"? Should i try harder to be popular? I dont wanna look desperate. But the day my friends said they were gonna come over my house they called me and told me to come to their house. Its scary even at day Time in new York to me. So they texted me the street. I jogged over there in my jacket and Nike shorts. I love the colorful ones. And when I jot down the street I was next to an abandon ally. So I took the opposite street through the smelly place next to the water park that's being built. And I got to my friends house. Her dad let me in and I went to the back where they were in a circle Criss cross. They had their hair pulled up too witch is weird cuz they like the length of their hair. Mine is short BTW. We're both 14 and we always hang out together in school with my best friend (Mary). He's an average nice guy but lately he's gotten extremely violent. He keeps hitting me without any reason and for some reason it's only me. He never hits Mary or any of our other friends. I keep telling him that it's not funny but he never listens to me. I think what encourages him is that I never get mad at him. I'm not a very serious person. I once confronted him and asked him why he keeps hitting me and his answer was 'Because I hate you'. Now I know that's not true, but I can't figure out why he has changed so much over a week. I'm a girl btw. :) |

I again ruined this year. Ever since I was in elementary school, I've been the outcast, the loner, the weird/awkward one. I've never had any school friends. I was bullied a lot and no one ever allowed me to speak my voice, I was never able to put it out there which really bugs me to this day. I actually love talking, especially about things I like. Anyways, everyone ignores me and never gives me a chance to speak. People don't treat me like I'm a normal person and I'm sick of it. I want to make myself heard and show everyone who I really am, but I'm so shy and can't ever say what I'm thinking which I hate about myself. I can only be myself around my three close friends and family. It takes me a while to get comfortable around people but whenever someone I don't know talks to me, I can't keep the conversation going. What should I do? |

At first it was okay, because she was just joking around. But then it started to get to the point where it was seriously hurting my feelings and I felt like I was being bullied. I tried telling her that, but she just continued making fun of me. Finally, I snapped and ended up yelling at her, then ignored her the rest of the day. She talked to my other friend (who then talked to me), saying how I was sassy and rude and I should apologize. I feel as if I have a right to be mad. I don't believe I should be the one apologizing. I was defending myself against a bully. So my question is, should I apologize? Or do I have the right to be mad at her? Plus I have a family member who has been diagnosed with OCD, so I understand a lot about it. I know I do not have the disorder, and I tried explaining to her what it was. But she still continued |

I'm an 18 year old female and there are other workers there near my age group, ranging from my age to young 20s. We all work in one department. So of course, when there are no customers around, we sometimes casually chat and stuff. I've generally been a person who prefers to mind my own business and not engage in much with others. I like it that way; I'm quite spiritual too, so I don't really engage in gossip and all the things people, frankly, bs about all the time. It's too much noise, there isn't so much to say. But I still interact with them. The thing is that I noticed they seem to laugh a lot more around each other. Even though I talk to these people, they give each other loud, enthusiastics hi's and stand around together and chatter so damn much, laughing and making jokes every like 2 mins. It seems there aren't many mature people here or people who like more intelligent discussions. What exactly are they doing that I am not? The thing is, I don't actually care, I naturally just prefer to be more to myself, but I am just wondering what is it that they're actually laughing about, gossiping/chattering about that makes them seem 'closer' to each other than me? We have all started working around roughly the same time, I am one of the newest, but the other workers aren't that old either. I talk to person a and person b, but for some reason, person a and b are suddenly much closer to each other seemingly and laugh a lot more together. so? |

They are always giving this tall girl and her friends information about me. I don't know why they do that even when I tell them not to. Why do they give these people so much attention and effort? Are they slaves to this tall girl and her friends? Why don't they stop all communication? Why do they continue to work with them? They could be acting as a spy/mole but what is the point? They are only feeding and making the beast grow bigger and bigger. Can't they see that they are causing the problem to continue on? If they stopped all communication with them, what is the worst they can do? They already told them about my Y/A account when I said NOT TO. I pretended to feign interest in the tall girl to teach these people a lesson but yet, they still continue. After that, I let the tall girl and her friends know in obvious fashion that I hate them but they still persist. . Thank you for letting me know that you will never help me but will always be against me. I wont forget this ever. I still want to be with my girlfriend upstairs despite all you other people. When we get together, I will make ABSOLUTELY sure to cut you people off from our lives. I will make that a mission in my life. You can bank on that. Posted: 29 May 2015 11:40 AM PDT Today in reading class, me and my friend decided to play a joke, so my friend took the phone and gave it to me, I felt guilty, so put it back where it originally was, and like nothing happened. Then she left to go to the bathroom, and when she got back, she was playing her phone, she left again, and came back, and then her phone was gone. I told her what I did just in case it helped some how, and she started to blame me for her phone being stolen, even though she had it after I put it back. |

I ve never had any problems with this but today I was in a group chat with a bunch of my girl friends and they brought up a topic that made me angry, so I decided to kindly vent about how it made me angry and they didn t reply for hours. I felt like they suddenly hated me for my opinion. I sent a quick message apologizing and the message had the little dark grey D next to it, (Yes this is kik) which means they re on the app. I think they made a chatroom without me in it. It s upsetting me, but I don t want to start more depressing drama revolving me, I already did that week. I know this is a disorder, because it s suddenly effecting me and I feel like everyone around me is talking behind my back about me or something. :( |
