He'd blow my phone up begging for time. Texting and calling every so often , until i finally gave him some time. At the time i had all going on personally/fincially wasnt looking for trouble. He was like a stress reliver i gt comfortable w/himHe was so sweet/nice. He was too touchy feely and aggresive as i got to kno him a little better. I told him i wasnt going to sleep with and that i wasnt lookn for a relationship or sex. Just a genuwine friend.Four months into our friendship he became mean . Nd one thing lead to another and we had sex for the first time.. i became prego nd wanted a abortion. Everything was ok but i was scared thinking he would leave me to be a single mom nt help i didntwant to become a mother without yet being exclusive or married. He referred to me as his girl my things wereat his house . Thn we became a couple i at first resented him because i was prego my family was going judge me. I always had attutude. Nd i prayed and it went away. Through my pregnacy he never went to doc apts he disappeared for two months became selfish. Talked down on me to other girls and family. But i wanted to make my fam wrk. Times gt rough i he never helped me with anything when i had little to offer i gave to him. I gave him money food and shelter. Tables turd and he didnt help at all. | Question: Custody Battle of a 7 year old? Posted: 24 May 2015 01:10 PM PDT I am going through a custody battle for my 7 year old daughter. Recently, her father agreed to a schedule where he only had her for 2 nights a week. Then, his girlfriend told him that he would be paying child support so with her urging he got an attorney and is now demanding a 50/50 custody schedule. He has driven her 1.5 hours away to spend the night at his girlfriends house on his placement nights. When there, my 7 year old daughter had to share a bed with an 18 year old that she did not know up until that day. I would not have known about this, but my daughter told me. My daughter has also told me that his girlfriend has pushed her down and called her annoying when her father is not in the room, and when I confronted him about it he said my daughter was lying. He had also been leaving my daughter with his mother any where from 1-3 nights during his placement time. I did not find out about this either until my daughter told me. We went to mediation and agreed on a schedule that is close to 50/50 but he has already violated the terms within the first week of the schedule change. I am very scared for the future and I am thinking that maybe I should request a Custody Assessment Team and ask for full custody. What are my chances? Is this the right thing to do? I do not want monopolize my daughter, it is important to me and her that she has time to spend with her father, but I do want to keep her safe. I was a stay at home mom and the primary caretaker. |

We're sophomores in college and we met like just over a month ago. I'm from NYC, she's from Nashville. She's very pretty blonde, blue eyed, thick cute accent. She's just very warm and bubbly, leave to the New Yorkers to be turned off by someone who's positive and upbeat. We just got out of school. She begged me to take her to NYC to meet my family/sight see. We've been here 2 days and my family's still not warming up to her. Anything I can do? Bad move meeting the family so soon? My dad moved out of his old house and has been renting a really small trailer for about a year now. I have 2 siblings that come to visit him with me every other weekend. One of them sleeps with my dad (he's 7) and the other has her own room. I, however, get the couch. I've complained multiple times to BOTH of my parents but they haven't done anything. My mom doesn't know how small the house is so she always tells me to go in and sleep in the same room as my sister. There is barely room for 1 bed and we always fight (we are twins so it's not going to work out). I always ask her if she'd let me sleep in there for at least one night and it's always a no. Also, sleeping in the living room is awful because my dad gets up at 7 am and wakes me up. I have absolutely no privacy. I HAVE A CORNER. A corner in the living room where everyone is during the day. Everytime I bring up not having a room or a bed my dad doesn't say anything. Am I supposed to have my own room/bed or do the WV/VA courts not worry about that? Please help. Thanks xx |

It's now May 2015 and I don't have a dime back. He was supposed to pay me in December 2014 but he didn't even have to balls to show up for the family. He moved back in 2 weeks ago and it drives me so damn crazy that he has no job, no school, and he gets to sit around the house all day. Meanwhile I'm getting pressured to work and finish high school and do everything on my own while my brother gets babied by my parents. They bought him a car, he pays no rent, he gets everything handed to him and I get to bust my *** off working and going school and paying my part of the bills. I'm not even 18 yet and I'm paying rent! Anyways I need my money back. I'm going to college soon and I need it. I need a car bc the college im going to is like 45 mins away. How can I make him pay it back? I'll talk to him about it and he gets my parents into the argument to defend him. Its been since December and he keeps saying "wait until I graduate." I'm currently in relapse of anorexia. I'm at a healthy weight but I'm eating 500-900 calories a day right now. I've been a vegetarian for the past year and recently I've avoided gluten too. He knows I had anorexia but he doesn't know I'm relapsing. He always makes fun of me for being a vegetarian. He'll go "I respect your decision but I don't understand why you'd ever stop eating meat." I always eat different meals than what my family eats and I think he judges me for it. Also I eat freakishly slow and have left the table in tears/having panic attacks when he's around. My dad makes me leave GPS turned on on my phone and he notices almost immediately if I turn it off. On top of this, my father chose my college-an all female college in the middle of nowhere. I am now entering my sophomore year and wanting to transfer and he has a huge problem with it. Every time I want to go anywhere or hang out with a male friend of mine he says I'm going to get raped. When I do go out, my dad is constantly texting and calling me asking when I'll be home. My curfew is 10:00 and I am not even allowed to stay up and talk on the phone past 11:00. I never go to parties and I have been very compliant towards my parents for the most part. He even has a problem with me financing my own vehicle. I have my own job and I ask my parents for virtually nothing, in fact I even help them out sometimes. I feel as if what should be the best years of my life are being controlled and I don't know if I'm in the wrong for wanting more freedom or how I should approach my dad about how I feel. When I begin to talk about how I feel about this he says he will cut me off and have nothing to do with me. I understand my dad loves me and thinks he has my best interest at heart and I love and respect him as well. But when is enough enough? |

Been depressed for a while, dealt with a lot of dysfunction from my family. I am the youngest and the scapegoat. Lot of control, belittle, emotional and mental abuse going on and it kind of crippled me in life. I never had the chance my older siblings has. I graduated high school with honors and never got anything. I was never allowed to hang out.. I got bullied because I wore hammidowns. And people clowned me because they saw that my dad and mom didn't love me... because I was a bum and my siblings were not. Never dated seriously, I had one guy friend... but it didn't go anywhere because I couldn't have a boyfriend. And my dad ruined my self esteem in so many ways. Although, I am very pretty, and have a great personality but my dad always hated me because I played sports... it used to kill him and he would compare to my sisters and call me gay in front of others. Anyhow... here I am 23... just now getting some lump sum of money that will be available in August... i have a small business, selling kids clothing online.. .I've made $1,500 so far and that is in my savings. I will be relocating to NYC for college in the FALL and for 6 month job offer... I will have an apartment. But I have no friends... is it too late to make good friends?? I never dated for real... but I will never tell a guy that. Is it too late? My plan was to leave in 2011, I've been trying... never got any help. And parents didn't want me to. |

I never ask for things the only thingmive asked for was a 10th doctor sonic screwdriver remote ($100) and I offered to loose getting allowance for 5 months (I get 20$ a month ) and he says he'll think he said yes but no allowance for 6 months. Posted: 24 May 2015 11:54 AM PDT I was in an argument with my sister because she had thrown all of my makeup on the floor, and we where yelling at each other and my dad came in the room with a broom and started hitting me with it and yelling at me to pick it up. I said no because she threw it on the floor, so why should i pick it up. He took the broom and started hitting me with it saying that i don't listen and a whole bunch of other bullshit. He kept hitting me with it, so I tried to push him away and thats when he got really mad. He started pulling my hair really hard, and he kick my legs and pushed me on the floor. He pushed me down to the ground making my head hit hard on the floor and started punching me in back. I was screaming at the top of my lungs and my mother came running and she was yelling and screaming try to pull him off of me. He hit her too. My sister of course was gone and ran to go hide somewhere. Now I have a bruised back, and a swollen lip and i dont know what to do. He is still really mad at me and im scared. What should i do? Is it okay for him to hit me? He always hit me before because he is a "pastor" and discipline is in the bible. Im a 15 year old girl and my dad is like 55. I just dont know what to do. |

I asked her today & she said sorry, Im busy so I couldn't come. My dad asked if I wanted a ride over to her house (because he thought I was going) but I told him what happened. Then he started yelling about how now I've humiliated myself, like I was begging her 2 days in a row, letting her take advantage of me & I was a disgrace to our family.what even? it's not a big deal chill, she just said no it's over. But he kept going and was like, "you can't come to anybody else's house from now on because you're still young, naive, you have to prove to me that you can be on your own!" etc. I'm 13 going on 14 & I've NEVER been to a sleepover/outing with friends/over a friend's house in my life. So I said, "if you never let me go on my own, then how can I prove it to you?" then he started roaring insults and by that time i was really scared and i started crying. then he went on about how, "you're only 13, focus on grades!" i'm just so pissed right now. every little thing i do my dad makes it into a big deal and yells at me and makes me cry. what should I do? |

Today when I was at the park with my mom and brother we got into a huge argument and he called me a little boy and threatened me. They've been trearbg me like this my entire life, picking on me and not considering how I feel in the argument. I perceived that they don't want me in the family, I cried by a hill, a dog checked on me. And after about 30 minutes they checked on me. They said they loved me, but I was sure they lied. I said I needed a minute because I couldn't hold my tears in much longer. They apologized. Now I'm thinking maybe I am a little boy, I hate myself more than anyone could possibly imagine. Especially after I humiliated myself in front of my family and I realized how weak I am. I will never forgive myself for anything I've done in my life, especially not this. Posted: 24 May 2015 10:44 AM PDT I just finished my last day of school and now i don't know what to do, I've always been an awkward person and have a hard time talking to people, I can't even look my own parents in the eye without freaking. My four years of school i was entirely lonely i didn't have friends to hang out with or even people that would speak with me sometimes. I was completely secluded, so now that school is over i have no one to help me decided things. In school i had a goal, my goal was to get good grades. Now school is done and i have no game plan. I know i should have though this out before it was so late but time is a hard and terrifying concept for me. I don't know how to explain it, it's like being in two places at once i think, I can't focus on the present and plan for the future at the same time. I tried to tell my mom this but she told me i was being crazy so i didn't try again. Now i have to make a choice, my mom is coming down for the graduation ceremony in a few days and she expects me to go back to philly with her. She and my little sisters are there and i really want to see them, to stay with them for a while. I came down to Florida for my first year of high school, my oldest little sister was with me for a while bur she went back two years ago. I was thinking of spending a year with them then joining the navy. I feel like i need some sort of counselling to get over my fear of people first. My second option is to stay here with my dad and grandma. She think my people problems are in my head and wants me to join as soon as possible. She said that once I get my permit she would buy me a car but I've never been interested in driving. I don't want to be a burden on my mom, but i don't want to upset my grandma. Right now she's really pressuring me to stay, she's use to having her way so if i did say i wanted to leave she would kick me out before my mom got here. I also want to get checked up, in the four years i've been here i've only been to the doctors twice for basic physical check ups for school and i haven't been to the dentist at all. I don't know how to set them up myself and when i tell my dad he say 'alright' but never takes me. What do you think i should do? Please help and thank you for your time. |

She's made me cry a couple of times and she had no remorse. She would literally just stare at me in tears without saying anything. No apology or nothing. She was competitive with me for no reason even though she had the better life. She has a boyfriend and I've been single for a while and she rubs the fact that she has someone in my face and i don't. She always wanted me to be jealous of the fact that she has a boyfriend as if having a man makes a woman better than the other. I was barefoot and was losing things as I walked, having a hard time keeping everything held. It turns into me seeing through my own eyes into a little boy walking on the road (I am a female) and many people pass me, some stop, some don't. Finally a Middle Aged man stops, he shows the boy how to fish quickly and builds trust with the boy. They hang out for a bit and drive and hunt, finally the man asks where the boy lives. The boy doesn't want to go home, he seems scared. He insists upon taking the boy home. They get to this house that looks relatively normal and well kept in a regular neighbourhood, walking up the stairs the boy is now a girl with black hair, leading (the man now an adult woman) into the house, not knocking. There are two strange woman (obviously the care-givers) and they steal the boy away from us (now I'm in physical form, with the adult. Perhaps now I am the adult) and they are running away from me. I follow (feeling overwhelming love and protection for this boy, like he's my own child) and I burst into a basement room where one of the witches is trying to keep me out, I am led into a room where the boy is tied up in a white bathtub, full of water in a dirty room with skeletons draped anove. A large window is above the bathtub, so the room is filled with light but the boy can't see out. |

I am financially dependent on my parents (my mom and step dad): I pay for my car's gas and insurance and outings, they pay for basically everything else. I follow their rules, clean the house/do chores, drive my little sister around when they're unavailable, etc. What I'm saying is that I'm not a problem child by any means. All my life my mom has been very open and accepting and supportive (ie I told her years ago that I was self-harming and she got me help for my issues). The ONE thing I have never felt okay going to her about is sex. The first time I came to her about sex was when I had a pregnancy scare about two years ago. She assumes/thinks that my boyfriend and I don't have sex anymore after that incident, when really, we do. However recently I told her I was going to spend the night at my bf's house (he lives 15 min away) because he was about to leave for a long trip. My mom and step dad lost their minds about us sleeping in the same bed and what may happen. I've been on multiple vacations with my BF and his family in which we slept in the same bed with my mom's knowledge, and so I don't get how it's a big deal. My step dad and his family are very religious and don't believe in sex before marriage, much less sleeping in the same bed with your partner. What can I do about them being so weird and strict about this aspect of my life? I understand their rule about not spending the night at his house, that's fair enough. But my question is what can I do with their attitude that sex is the worst thing you can do? My boyfriend and I regularly have (safe) sex, we use condoms and I'm on birth control. I don't see what's wrong with having sex with my BF of three years, but I can't change their religious attitudes And may I also add that my step dad has daughters of his own. One of them married a man she knew for less than a year behind her dad's back and soon after revealed she was pregnant, yet she gets no disrespect (she is actually only two years older than me). My boyfriend and I have been together longer and I'm not pregnant but because they're married and we're not, she and her hubby get more respect. |

Three years ago, I lost my job in the recession and seemed too over qualified for everything else - especially retail. So, I saw that people were selling paintings on ebay and so I taught myself how to paint. It's now three years later and I'm in galleries, had my work shown on the television, been shown at equestrian shows and moving forward - but I'm still not earning much and I'm burnt out :( I feel like I can't paint anymore and have no time for my wife and any other interests - i feel consumed. So, I told my wife I'm going to take a low levll job as a hotel room cleaner or house painter for 6 months, not paint at all in that time, play my guitar in my free time and go out with her more. She thinks I'm wrong - am I doing the right thing? |

Thing is, I can't drive, I had to take a shuttle back to my house, and my dad isn't here (he's dead), so he can't help me with this. I'm going to have to take the shuttle back to the hospital, but my question is, how do I pick her up? Do I have to sign anything or something? Something happened where we had to move and my mom didn't have the funds. My sisters man gave her 1,000 dollars and he would hold her brand new car until she paid him back. she was out of work so she hasn't been able to. and now that she works she only makes enough to pay bills. I just turned 18 so im going to try to get a job now to get it back for her. he doesn't care about her car at all. a car that is two years old should not look the way it does now. he throws footballs at it. that made me really angry because I know my mom worked hard for that and he is carelessly putting dents in it. He never washes it, drives fast in it, weaving in and out of lanes, lets his son put his feet up on the seats and drop food in there. he has like five pairs of shoes in the front seat on the ground with other junk. its a complete mess. he just did get an oil change for it. only because it started driving funny. I really don't think my mom's car deserve that. I know it might take me a long time to make a grand, but I need that car back asap. he will trash it if she doesn't get the car back soon. |

Shes been mistreating me for 10 years now (shes 18 and im 14) and im done. I never get the respect i deserve from her but i am always nice to her. I'm always so nice to her. The father was loving and supportive..until I moved in with him. He suddenly got possessive and controlling. He has uncontrollable rage and explosive behavior. He is verbally abusive and he was becoming physically abusive. So I left. I had family come get me and I moved out while he was sobbing his apologizes, as usual. When I left, I thought maybe he would realize the seriousness of his behalf and be willing to change, but it's just gotten worse. Over the last few weeks he has been threatening to show up at my house, mocking the police, and saying he well take my baby when I have it. I have done nothing at this point but make it clear I do not want him near me or taking to me. He has a criminal history of aggravated menacing, furiously conduct, and violence. I just found all of this out. If I file for a restraining order, I'm afraid it will set him off more. I'm at a loss for protecting myself and my baby. He already told me he well make my life a living hell over this baby. He lives in an awful house that's falling apart in Youngstown Ohio. He has a drug past. The only thing he really has over me is he makes more money. Can he take my baby? Or would could I do too protect myself. I do have all of our text messages and Facebook messages saved. I refused to talk to him on the phone so I could have record of how he talks and threatens. Please help me. |

They let me stay at my friends house until the end of the year and then said I have to live with them. But, I made it into a magnet school and told my mom you have to apply months ahead and it's a once in a life time opportunity and she still said no. I'm actually happy here. And I also went into my moms room to see if she has any boppy pins and I saw a huge tub of weed in her bathroom. So her and her boyfriend also smoke weed. It's illegal- and was very surprising to me. My sister & I have always stayed at his house 3 days of the week & my moms house the rest of the week. My sister is in college & is home for the summer. My dads new condo is nice, but it only has 2 bedrooms. One would be for him & my stepmom, & the other one he wants my sister & I to share over the summer while shes here. The room is good size for one person but if two people had to share it there would be no room for anything except the beds. My dad said he would try to put a divider or something, but I can't see that working out. Plus she would only be here over the summer & I have to be there three says a week all year round & I really don't want to have 2 beds in my room or have to keep her stuff in here all year. Every other place he's bought we have had individual rooms. My sister & I don't get along. I feel bad for her too though cause I know she also would not want to share a room with me and we are being forced. My mom & I get along really great, she is like my best friend. I keep thinking about maybe staying at my dads house only on Saturdays over the summer because I really don't want to share a room & my mom said she would love to spend more time w me. Would that be selfish? My dad & I get along ok, same w him & my sister. Should I try staying with my mom most of the summer or will it hurt my dads feelings? |

Posted: 24 May 2015 07:52 AM PDT so i made a huge mistake i started smoking weed about a year ago. i did it out of depressrion my dad missed my 8th grade graduation (yes i was 13) and we stopped talking for 7 months i had to move from bronx to long island then back from long island to the bronx w my mom. my mom has been there with me forever, we were bestfriends. i took advantage of my mom and i truly regret that, i did bad things while she was in charge of me, she did not know what i was doing. anyways now they found out and im being sent to live w my dad but hes saying hes going to send my mom to court for me doing that under her control but my dad used to hit me when i was child for not understanding school or for other things to the point i started bleeding from my nose and left w belt marks. my dad has left me in a party alone full of drunk people while he was out w his girlfriend additionally my dad does drugs too or atleast he used to about a year ago im pretty sure he still does still. my mom has done nothing yes we have fights here and then but she has been a wonderful mother and i feel like **** for abusing her trust in me. anyways my dad says hes ganna hit me when i see him again and that were ganna have a talk even tho that means hes just ganna talk and sush me but id like to know if he does send my mom to court who has the possibilty in winning? does that mean i cant see her until im 21? and what can i say so that he can loose and i can stay with my mom, do i even stand a chance? p.s theres more |

Growing up, I sort of made her as " Her mothers keeper". My wife has a lot of fears from driving on highways yo being alone and hates confrontation. My daughter wasn't aloud to play sports, join clubs, or have many friends growing up in fear it would take time away from her mother. At the same time my wife would tease her that she didn't have friends or hobbies, only to denie her the chance when asked. In high school she secretly joined track, which I gave her the silent treatment for until she quit. After high school she got a part time job at CVS. I would call her out of work multiple times so she coul be home with her mother, or go to the store and demand she leave because her mother would have to drive somewhere on a high way. Her last year of college she found a job. I again gave her the silent treatment then exploded on her, saying she was horrible for not bring there for her mother. The main reason I needed her home was that I owened a courier service, which sometimes my wife would have to do high way driving, which she refused to do. Another time while working, the plumber was coming and my wife was terrified. My daughter had to stay and protect her. She left home after I retired. I want her to visit at least 4 days a week but she is refusing. More than once she's stated to let her have her own life. |

He asked me how things were going and I told him things were generally going fine. My mother came in the room and sat to my right on the couch. She asked me how things were going with a project I was working on and I started to tell her. Within a few seconds my stepfather interrupted me by getting my mother's attention. He wanted to direct her attention to what character was being featured as a float in the parade he was watching on t.v. After a second she looked back at me and we continued to talk. He then interrupted me again a few more seconds later by another assertion about what was happening on television. This happened about three times. I then very politely said "am I interrupting you guys?". He then said "oh, I'm sorry for interrupting you." He then got angry and left the room in haste. I apologized by saying "I didn't intend to hurt or offend you". Was I in the wrong in any way? I still feel bad about the whole thing. |
