Posted: 22 May 2015 11:35 PM PDT Long story short my fiance currently has a 2000 (year) GMC Jimmy that was given to him several years back by his grandparents as his first car (he's 23). Recently it broke down on the side of an interstate and I had to go get him (luckily I have a hybrid that's only a couple years old) but since then I've been really scared for his safety since he drives an hour to work every morning and back on the interstate. He really wants to get a motorcycle but he's never been on one before so I'm just as worried about him being on a motorcycle as I am about him driving a 15 year old truck. He claims he would use it safely just to drive back and forth to his job (we use my car for everything else) but I know him and I feel like he would speed and weave in between cars and such trying to mimic the motorcycle drivers in movies. He also doesn't plan on getting insurance for it since in our state he doesn't legally have to. It also storms all the time here and isn't being on a motorcycle during a storm and at night way more dangerous than being in a car? His side to it is that he'd drive safely, we'd save lots of money on gas (since his current truck is a gas guzzler), save money on not having to pay insurance for his motorcycle and that the motorcycle would be fairly cheap. What do you think? |

Question: BBQ wedding reception? Posted: 22 May 2015 06:48 PM PDT I am wanting to have a fun, laid back wedding reception in September. We're thinking a BBQ/Bon fire smores night. It will be at a house on my college campus so it will have a back yard type feel. We're thinking about 150 people will be invited. I want it to be nice, but inexpensive. Any ideas on about how much have BBQ catered for that many people will cost?? Also, ideas on displaying the food nicely, but also keeping things sanitary and warm??? |
Question: My on/off friend wants me to be a bridesmaid for her wedding but I don't want to? Posted: 22 May 2015 06:41 PM PDT Ok so here's my problem. A friend of mine announced to me around a year ago that she is getting married and I'm so excited and happy for her. We've been friends on and off since high school though. She's the type of person that sends a few text messages here and there just to keep in touch. We barely hang out and we're in our mid twenties by the way. When we talk its just to catch up & stuff. Sometimes we'll talk about the wedding and I'll ask her about being a bridesmaid. Everytime I would bring up the bridesmaid thing she would kind of shut me down and say "I dont know what I'm doing yet" or "I'll see, I dont know yet." I've stopped asking her about it and kind of felt stupid because I thought we were good friends and that whether or not she "knows what she's doing" she'd always include me in the wedding no matter what because of our history. So a week ago she finally set a date for the wedding and called me and asked me if I'd like to be a bridesmaid and being thrown off guard I said yes....I know this sounds contrary but I dont even want to be a bridesmaid anymore for her and my reason is clear...If she wanted me to be in the wedding she would of asked me from the get-go and not of waited 6 months. I feel that she's asking me now because she can't find anybody else to fill the spot. The wedding isnt for a year but I really don't even want to be in the wedding because I dont even think we're that good of friends anyways....am I crazy or just overreacting??? I just wanted to add that i'm pretty much her only friend and the other friends she does have she ignores them as well and just "keeps in touch." There have been times where she never came to my functions/parties and I haven't physically seen her in over 6 months. |
Question: If someone raped you, would you be in that person's wedding? Posted: 22 May 2015 06:34 PM PDT or invite the rapist to come over with their wife to play cards and stuff all the time ? |
Question: How to steal someone's husband? Posted: 22 May 2015 06:09 PM PDT I've been sleeping with a man that I thought was single. Last year I caught him calling another woman and he admitted that he was going through a divorce . I was ok and said I would wait but now he's telling me that they are going to stay together for his kids. I completely heart broken and I can't live without him. He's the only man that I see myself being with and he promised me commitment. I don't know what I should do :( . I can't break up with him , every time I try to leave I end up getting lonely. I'm thinking about calling his wife and telling her how he feels about me. I have saved text from him where he was saying how he can't wait to end his marriage and how we can start a family |

Question: Songs suggestions for wedding slideshow for groom? Posted: 22 May 2015 01:29 PM PDT I'm trying to choose songs for a wedding slideshow for the groom growing up, but can't think of anything! The wedding is next Saturday and I wanted to choose a song that's fun and upbeat but not super old! Any suggestions for a new, upbeat song for the groom? UPDATE: This slideshow is going to be played during the wedding reception, it includes pictures of the bride also but I already have her songs picked out! I'm just stuck on the songs for the groom. Any help is appreciated :) |
Question: Cheap wedding accessories? Posted: 22 May 2015 11:37 AM PDT I am a bride to be! I was wondering about where the best place would be to buy inexpensive (though not chinsey) wedding accessories, such as flower petals, baskets, ring pillows, all that fun jazz. I know Wal-Mart and Dollar Tree have wedding stuff, but I've been increasingly anti-Wal-Mart lately, plus while Dollar Tree has good items, I'm afraid to get what I paid for.... Are there any other suggestions? Or am I better off spending an extra dollar or so at stores like David's Bridal? Thanks for any suggestions! |
