I will be Kylie, My girl best friend will be Anna and my guy friend will be Jake. Okay so my best friend named Anna was friends with this boy Jake and at the time i was dating a boy "Mark" and then i wanted to break up with "Mark" so we talked to him about it and thats how me and Jake became friends. So me and Jake started to talk alone and text and he always made my laugh and I began to like him. So a couple days ago I told Anna that I kind of like him and she told another three of our guy friends "Dave, Mikey, and Evan" that I like Jake. So in class they both told Jake I like him. He kept saying no she doesnt, no she doesn't, but my friends kept saying yes she does. So i got kind of mad at them, but got over it quickly. Then today Anna was talking to Jake about me like all day and he didn't really get annoyed he kept saying "cool" or "wow" or "really" like monotonely but still. I don't know what to do!? I am a thirteen year old girl, (please don't give me a lecture on not sharing personal information online) who would often be classified as 'nerdy' by other people, usually my classmates. I am not a very self centred person, but throughout the years I have realised I am more intelligent and mature than children my age, which has resulted in me never having any friends. Recently I did have one, but she was also friends with the 'popular ***** group' who don't quite like me and neither do I like them. I broke off my friendship with the girl in a calm manner about a week ago, since I couldn't trust her with truly being myself when we're together. Anyway, I often get called 'weird' for loving to write, read, study psychology, enjoy tests and a few other things. People who never talk to me except when they need something often use me, and today someone just casually said "I don't want to sit beside her", which hurt quite a lot. I have talked to my parents many times because of this, but it usually ends with them telling me that I am probably giving off negative energy and being unfriendly. If talk to a teacher they will get the class involved who won't give a crap, in fact probably think I am an attention seeker, or he will make everything super awkward and dramatic. I can't move schools, or go to any special place that could help, since I would have to get my parents involved. Thank You So Much! |

These are the first times these things are happening! And the thing is, they are never mad at each other only me. We just got back to normal about 2 sundays ago and we were PERFECT! She was new too and we met at the orientation. We were super close last year. We used to hang out a lot and it felt like we were a team. I haven't hung out with her in forever. The last time she had time was in June.. And all we did was watch Netflix.. I can't slow down, and it's gotten to the point where literally every second in class and school I have to be constantly shaking my legs because I'm so hyper, for hours on end, which I haven't stopped. It hurts but I can't slow down, but also, what do I do TO slow down, if I need to? Everybody else has been telling me to slow down, (not only based off of that, but other things such as my speech and thoughts). Help? |

I was shy in Serbia too, but here I simply do not talk. And that's due to these reasons: 1. I'm bisexual (haven't come out) and extremely feminine. 2. I have an accent that I hate. It isn't that bad, but I want an American accent. 3. I look handsome (at least according to my mother), but I'm extremely short at 5'4" and look like a Grade 8 student, at max. 4. I have no muscles, in fact I'm underweight and anorexic skinny, to the point where it's embarrassing. If you want to get an idea about how bad it is -- I wear a jacket every single second I'm outside just to cover my body so that nobody can see my skeletal body. My waist's ~25". 5. I comfort myself by thinking that when I grow up I'll be much greater than all my classmates, and by thinking that even if I don't become as great as I think I will, socializing is not going to help me. Can someone please give me an honest answer as to what I should do? And don't just tell me to join a club. |

I live in Iowa And my best friend Miranda is moving away next month to Utah. She is my best friend and I love her to bits and pieces, I'm extremely upset she's leaving. Miranda wants me and a few of my other friends to come and visit her in July. It would be me, my boyfriend (16) , Miranda's boyfriend (16) , and miranda's and my friend Paige (15 almost 16). We'd stay from July 1st to July 4th. Miranda's parents are perfectly fine with all of us coming down and will let us stay at their home. They are going to have a meeting for all of our parents to figure out flight information, times, who's going, etc. The problem is, everyone of my other friends is going EXCEPT, my parents won't let me. My parents said there isn't enough "parental supervision" for us because of our age. I know what they are worried about if you catch my drift. Miranda said one of her parents will always be home to supervise and they will organize the whole trip. I'm extremely upset! I couldn't imagine not seeing Miranda ever again. How can I convince my parents to let me go? I offered to buy the ticket and everything and I would be flying there with my friends so I wouldn't be alone. I've been wanting to learn how to play the electric guitar for almost a year, and I'm finally doing that. WTF, I'm not like that with them, and most of the times they dont seem like true friends. I take that back, she was obsessed with him. Anyways, in March, our year went to Paris. K+S were flirting non-stop there but on the last night, a girl in our class called "Kelly" told her that he doesn't like her. And Kelly's a nice girl and she doesn't fancy Shane, so she couldn't be just saying that just because she was jealous... The next day, Shane was ignoring her and acting strange so Karen guessed that he asked Kelly to tell her. She was real upset. But now she fancies this new guy, which is good. Problem is, she's now telling me that she thinks me and Shane will be perfect together! She keeps mentioning it though she still asks about him and seems jealous when he's talking to another girl. And she isn't playing match-maker... Yet. (She's always trying to get a BF for me) And to make matters worse, I'm starting to get the feeling that he's interested in ME now, as he says "hello" to me quite a lot (he has also never heard of space) and he stares at me alot. And he asked if I was "texting any boy". And at a party a few days ago, he was really touchy and whispering in my ear stuff like, "Are you enjoying yourself?" Lots of times B will say kinda mean and rude things, she calls my sister beautiful, but never once me (we're identical twins except I wear glasses) one day we were talking about grades I said "I need to fix some quizzes, I have a D in math" and B said "why is your sister so smart and your so..." She didn't finish but I figured what she meant. The other week she slept over at my house, she my sister and my other friend wanted to go to a party, I didn't want to until I found out I was invited. After I found this out I ran to put better clothes on. When I went to leave for the party I saw them running down the street away from me. I've no doubt in my mind that it was B's idea. When they got back B pretended to have no idea what I was talking about. And just today we were walking home and I told her a story about a joke I told, instead of laughing she said "that wasn't funny" "did you get that from the vine I showed you?" (she never shares stuff with me like ever, so no I didn't) I said "you should have been their it was funny" but she kept telling me it wasn't funny and idk it kinda just made me upset. I have this friend, D, and she and I love to joke around with our teachers. I'm not sure how other schools do this, but we have 70 kids on a "team", and they share four teachers for four subjects. Two of our teachers are young guys, and we spend A LOT of time with them. It's pretty obvious we're their favorite students. Our relationship with them got... Different though. It's fun. Every day they tease us, and we learned how to tease them back without crossing any lines. The four of us have all of these inside jokes, we stay after school with them, we all share stories, and are CONSTANTLY poking fun at the each other. These two friends of ours don't understand our relationship at all though. Yesterday, B accused D and I of "flirting" with the teachers, and told us it was really weird, "unlike ANYTHING she had ever seen before." Our friend, T, backed her up, saying "It's weird, and you guys need to leave them alone!" There are not words to describe how ANGRY I am with them! These MEN are TWICE our age!! FLIRTING?! There's a big difference between FLIRTING and JOKING!!! They aren't a part of our group (other kids do the same thing) but it doesn't seem like they're jealous or anything. They just don't understand. I trust these teachers more than anything. More than THEM. How do I explain to them that what they're thinking is revolting, and they need to shut up and stop judging a relationship they don't understand? |

I owned up to it, and the head master said that she brought in my dean and head of upper school and they both said I'm a good student trying very hard. They're coming up with an punishment. I now want to apologise, as I didn't mean for my friend to be stressed and scolded by her parents. I never been like this in the past. In the past I wasn't afraid to comment back or defend myself. I haven't had the best few years, I've been hurt by a lot of people and now left lonely. I'm tired of it. I can never say no, I always do what people want. I can't say what I want to say or do, I always try to make others happy. I always do what others say or want me to do, never say no. I don't want to be this way anymore. I want to go back to the old me where I can defend for myself. The only time I stick up to someone is when someone hurts my family and friends. We've been talking frequently and even when we weren't we always managed to get each other's news throgh our messanging app. Now, she's been very negative lately about her life because of reasons... I don't know how to put this, but she had been suicidal in the past... I've always been there for her anytime, and helped in any possible way. But now she hasn't been texting me nor connecting anywhere I know she is. It's been over two months, we've never been without knowing about each other's news for so long... Today at school while I was going away to go to my first period class, I turned around to ask my "friend" if she'd be going upstairs today to eat lunch. When I turned around and started to walk towards her I saw her laughing right in my direction with one of her other close friends. I asked her if she was going upstairs today, she said yes, and then when I was walking away I heard her laughing and said "I thought she (me) heard what we said about her (me)." Now I'm not usually someone to jump to conclusions but, even when I am in her presence she's making fun of other people. So I mean what's to say she wouldn't do the same to me? She can't get help because she's afraid of him and she has no where else to go because Her mom is afraid of leaving him since he's the only person that makes money in the family plus she's really really sick (she knows about the abuse). My friend wants to know what else she can do since she is afraid to tell someone and she has no where else to go so I'm going to ask here for her (like numbers to helplines or something) since her dad checks the history on her phone and he would know that she was researching ways to get away. I'm so scared for her and I'm afraid she's going to do something stupid. Her dad locks her in a room if she fails an exam and when she was younger he broke her arm and leg and told her that if she told anyone else he'd kill her. He sold all her animals without asking and he emotionally abuses her too about her weight. She's petrified of him. Her mother can't leave him since she's sick and can't work and if she leaves him they'll all be homeless and she can't go anywhere else since he forced them to move over here so all there family is back in England and anyways he makes up lies about them so most of her family has turned against them anyways. I'm being 100% serious. What are her options since she can't leave home? Who can she talk to? I can't do anything bc I'm only 15 and she can't talk to anyone at school because we don't have a guidance counseller. Please help, Thank you x |

Her parents recently found out that she was bi and have pushed her for her "crime" by taking away her phone and making her break up with her boyfriend (even though him and his parents don t agree that they should break up). The part that I would consider abuse is that fact that they are forcing her to work out for 6-8 hours in the middle of their lawn while they know that she is allergic to grass. Because of this, she has hives up and down both of her legs and she is not allowed to use any alley medicines to lessen her reaction. I need to know if i m overreacting or not. PLEASE HELP! My little brother talks about me just to make them laugh. i know because after he jokes on what i have on or what i do, i watch his face and notice that he always looks at them to see if theyre laughing too. and he acts tougher than he really is once he's around them. We just had a water balloon fight, and they all kept attacking me more like i was their main target. and one of my friends grabbed the water hose and sprayed me down while the other two were just standing there and laughing.... twice, after i said stop. and they would take my phone and laugh at me while i try to get it back, laughing hysterically. once again, im like the "clown" of the group, always being picked on because of the way i walk, talk etc. I lowkey think theyre jealous of me so they try and make themselves feel better by laughing at me. and when i get mad, because i dont feel like jokin around sometimes, they would be like "u get mad too fast" "we are just playing" etc. does this sound like jealousy or something else?? or am i just being sensitive?? I have CF so I'm infertile, out of shape (I still go to Planet Fitness though), can't grow anymore, look like an old person, sweat a lot, have breathing problems and a 40 year lifespan. There's this girl Thamiris in my French class that I like. I've never had a girlfriend before because I hate myself and have no confidence, and I've already been rejected once last year by a different girl. Unfortunately Thamiris is a freshman, I fear her parents won't like the fact that I'm older because a lot of times when the guy is older he just wants sex. That's not what I want (yet), she's below the age of consent anyways. I'm always the only person without a mate, and I hate being single. Last October I thought about committing suicide because nobody would date me. Anyways, I like Thamiris but she's beautiful and I'm just a fat, stupid, ugly dork with glasses who goes to gym hopelessly trying to tighten my embarrassingly fat body. Posted: 11 May 2015 01:51 PM PDT Im not quite sure how to start this but my " best friend" has offended me twice today or could I be over reacting? Today at lunch we were having a casual discussion and I wasnt really involving myself in conversation, just keeping myself to myself and then asked her " are you still pissed at your dad or have you forgiven him?" And she laughed and said "oh my who says pissed nowadays" I did t think much of it but it kind of got to me in the tone of voice she said it in. The second time was later on this evening when I got back from a hospital check up and because I seemed shy and irritated so they SUGGESTED I could have anxiety which I dont think I have but the doctor suggested counciling which I declined and this alone at the hospital annoyed me so I told my friend hoping she would sympathise and reassure me but instead she sent a load of laughing emojis and called me 'special' i knew this was a joke but i didnt find this funny as I was already upset by the situation and later I got mixed up with autism and anxiety and said I felt retarded and she got offended because her brother has autism and called me rude but I meant I felt retarded in general because I felt so low in myself and the fact the doctor thinks I have social problems and she agreed and said well.. | Question: Help i have a suicidal friend!!!? Posted: 11 May 2015 01:42 PM PDT I have a friend who i talk to in school alot( friend A). He always seemed insecure, nervous, and doubtful of himself. I never asked him before, but i could tell he had a extremely low self esteem. My other friend (friend B) who has gone through a similar experience but was able to rationalize, told me that he was very suicidal but he got better. Recently i read a book called 13 reasons why. For whatever reason, it made me think of friend A, especially after some crazy skype updates he was posting regarding suicide.. He still acted like he was considering it so i texted friend B about my realization and he said that i should check up on him. When i texted friend A, i was right.... he even implied a plan on one of his texts and he already made a note!!! When he showed me the note, i nearly cried and felt like vomiting. My mind was already racing with different thoughts as i talked to him but this made it more serious! I told friend B about this and he was equally shocked. He told another friend(friend C). And friend C told one last person and that person told Friend As brother. He seemed extremely uncomfortable about me telling people which is why i am so hesitant on telling friend B to tell the school counselor. Friend A's parents i believe know but they seem to not want to help or even talk about it(figures since they are very controlling and kind of harsh on him from what ive heard). We told him that we are all there for him. |

Posted: 11 May 2015 01:39 PM PDT @ the beginning of the school year I had way more confidence then I used to.It was a new school,I was a cheerleader,had a lot of friends before the year even started & I was really confident.As the year went on I had a lot of friends but I realized that a lot of my friends were a lot closer w/other people &I had to put a lot of effort into being with them.I am friends with mostly the popular kids.I was told a few times in the year by a few people that I was annoying.That really made me feel bad and brought my confidence way down.After that I became shy&insecure.I was afraid to talk to people because I didn't want to annoy them.I realized that when I talked to people, they didn't really have interest in me and that made me really awkward around people.I used to talk to a lot of the popular boys at school too, but when my confidence went down, I forgot how to talk to them. I had a lot more friends @ the begging of the year.Its made me pretty depressed &sad cuz I used to be so confident & outgoing & now I can barely talk to my friends that I used 2 b close w/.I wouldnt say that I am extremely shy,but I used to be loud&now I just sit and talk quietly with my new friends that I don't have to be fake with. The friends I have now I grew really close with.I used to be a total try hard & I never really noticed how annoying those people actually were. I also realized that I was one of those girls.I just wish I was more outgoing & confident again w/out being annoying like I was before. |

He was taking the p### out of me infront of his friends basically. He was touching because they found it funny. I told him not to. Alot. But he never listened. My friend(i told one friend, and the teacher who refused to move me from him until i refused to go to the lesson) says this is bullying- but i was wondering...is it? Im now 18- does touching when i say no, still count as bullying? Maybe i didnt write this out properly...this was a while back now, i told the teacher and she refused to move me from him until i refused to go to school. This happened then i was 16(ish, i think) and ive just turnt 18. i just wanted to see whether this counted as sexual harrasment or bullying. Thankyou for your answers x |
