When they first started dating I thought it was just going to be a fling. I thought "maybe mom just needs some fun with some boy toy before she moves onto a real relationship'. However, the relationship has lasted almost 2 years. Nonetheless, even after the engagement I was pretty sure it was going to get broken off. However, yesterday my mom announced she's pregnant again (she wanted to get pregnant BTW in case that isn't clear). At this point I have to accept it's going to be permanent. I feel that this is super weird. The guy is pretty close to my age and he got my mom pregnant. I just don't get why she didn't get a guy her age. Furthermore, part of me worries this isn't going to work out. However, I can tell pretty easily that he does make my mom happy. My mom hasn't been in a relationship since she left my abusive father a little over a decade ago. Even though she never directly told me I could always tell she wanted to be in a relationship with a guy who treats her right. Despite being way young I can tell that he does make her happy. That makes me happy. I want to be happy for her, but I'm so weirded out that it's hard. How can I move past feeling super weird about this and feel happy for my mom? PS-For whatever it's worth he has a master's degree and a high paying job, so it's not like she's his sugar mama. Also, mom doesn't have any kids living at home with her. |

Two months ago my parents found out I'm not a virgin and they told my boyfriend (who started out as my best friend) to stay away from me. Then they told me I'm not allowed out of the house (except for school). They always yell at me and tell me how I'm ruining their lives and I'm the worse daughter ever. It has been two months and I am tired of staying at home not being able to do anything and hearing all of this. Is it right for them to do all of this? Is there a way I can speak to them to let me out again and live a life again. It's so draining and makes me feel crazy just staying inside all the time especially all the time with them. It also doesn't feel right that they took my boyfriend away from me. Not only was he my boyfriend, but we started out as best friends until it turned romantic and I can't loose him. It pains us not being able to see each other. He tells me how it hurts not being able to take me on dates and just spend time together. Then they started accusing him of things of which are not true so they have reasons to not like me out so I won't see him. I personally feel like I should be able to make the choices of who I date, and I shouldn't have to be trapped inside my house being drained everyday. I believe I should be able to make mistakes and have fun like a normal teenager. It's not like I am not focusing on my future. First date, we just hugged, second time I saw her at work and we held each other differently, my hands were holding her up by her lower back, she had her arms draped her arms over my shoulders and we talked for a while. Second date - lunch date, we hugged the same way at her car then SHE initiated the kiss and we kissed on the cheek. Third date - today, lunch date, we walked to the car holding hands (fingers weren't interlocked if that even matters), got to the car and we kissed on the lips this time, and did it twice, I would say each time we kissed, it was like "50/50", no hesitation on either part to do it, she actually kinda gave the nod the first time and the second I went in for it.
