Question: Why did she become so cold?????? Posted: 11 Nov 2019 11:01 AM PST My name is lucas. 2 years ago i met this woman named Mariana at my work. I had feelings for her as soon as i met her, i noticed she couldn't stop staring at me. later we became friends but she was 36 married with kids and im only 24. We never talked about anything innapropriate, but we would talk, laugh and she would blush so much around me. One day months ago , Mariana told my close friend Angela a secret. Mariana told my friend that she's been falling for me, and cares for me. She feels guillty if something were to happen between us because she's married. I never told Mariana that i know about the secret. Everything was fine but later, but a coworker began causing drama saying me and Mariana talk way too much and that we flirt. My supervisor told me to stop talking to Mariana to avoid drama but i noticed Mariana was sad i couldn't talk to her. We still talked a bit behind everyone back as friends. Later i noticed mariana was involved in drama, and i also noticed she began giving me the cold shoulder. I decided to give her a gift card for her birthday but she told my manager about the gift. My manager got mad and I was removed from her floor, i noticed she couldn't look at me in the eyes, and she couldn't look at my friends in the eyes eather. 2 weeks later she quit and blocked me from her Facebook. Why did she kick me out of her life???? Why did she act so cold ??? |
Question: Was I worried for no reason? Posted: 11 Nov 2019 07:52 AM PST Where I work my boss is in his 50s and his wife Sue, is in her 20s, my age. It is known through out the company that my boss is very jealous of his wife around other men. We try to avoid her as much as we can. I have had a few brief conversations with her and she seems to be a nice person. One day Sue ask me if I could drive her home as her husband had to work late. I told her I would if it was OK with her husband my boss. I did not want to get in trouble with my boss for being around his wife. She said my husband does not control what I do. If he objects to you driving me home, I will cut him off from what he likes most. OH CRAP. I am in a lose lose situation. If my boss is mad at me for driving his wife home and is cut off. If I refuse to drive her home she and possibly my boss will be mad at me and goodbye job. After some thought I decided to drive her home. When I got home, I started updating my resume. The next morning my boss called me into his office. He thanked me for driving his wife home. He said she had a great meal waiting for him when he got home. Did I dodge a bullet by doing what I did? The LAST thing I want to do is become her friend. Do you think I was worried for no reason? |
Question: My "best friend" now hates me for no reason. Why is this? Posted: 11 Nov 2019 06:18 AM PST It started a few weeks ago in early-October. Me and him used to be close, and we would constantly talk about our favorite video games, anime, cartoons, etc. Since then, he acts grouchy towards me and shoots down every single conversation I attempt to make. He has no problem talking to this other, new kid (as well as some of his old friends). It's just that he refuses to interact with me in the slightest. I cannot recall ANYTHING I could've done to agitate him, and it's worse because I sit next to him in the class we have together, and I have no other friends in that class, meaning I constantly have to work alone. My mother keeps pressuring me to make new friends, and this situation isn't helping. Is there anything I can do? |
Question: Are people avoiding cause of this reason? Posted: 11 Nov 2019 06:03 AM PST Like I'm not doing anything to nobody but I do admit that I am very serious, don't smile much or talk a lot. Everyone Including my mom says that I'm intimidating but I'm just a shy person and I'm intimidated by people myself! People avoid me so much that when all the people in my row in class hug each other and say hi to each other everyday they don't hug or say hi to me. This is starting to make me feel left out and sad but I can't do any thing about my face! Please help me. Im in high school by the way and I do have a couple of friends. Not trying to be arrogant but I'm also very pretty, I know I'm not ugly. |
Posted: 11 Nov 2019 05:37 AM PST After makeout in his car, I told guy that he's much better than my previous boyfriend and he just laughed? Was he shy? We were just kissing, hugging, touching body but no oral sex or anything further. |
Question: Is it wrong to ask a friend to change or our friendship will end? Posted: 11 Nov 2019 04:57 AM PST I have a friend who I have been friends with since we were kids. To be blunt, if I had met her today we would not be friends. She has kind of clung on to me, and I am too nice to do anything. She has some issues with anxiety, she's had anorexia in the past and I just generally a difficult person to be around. I mean she has great moments as well. When she has a good day she is funny, happy and easy going. The problem is that the bad outweighs the good. I just feel like she is treating me like her therapist and most of our conversations are about her and her issues. I just feel like I don't have the same time and energy for this sort of drama. I am married, thinking about starting a family, and I have my own life to worry about. I am starting to appreciate the approach my husband has to friends. He says: "My friends and I hang out to have fun. Escape a few hours from reality and just guys being guys. Grown-ups deal with their own crap. If a friend comes to me with a genuine issue I know that I am his last option." I also think there in lies the issue with our friendship. We don't have fun. She'll send me a text a day before saying: "I'll call you tomorrow at 6pm". Then I know that tomorrow at 6pm what awaits me is an 45-60 min unpaid therapy session. I'm just tired of it. I have been too nice for too long. I want to have a conversation with her about the future of our friendship. I feel like either she changes or our friendship dies. Is that wrong to view it like that? |

Question: Why don’t people like me? Posted: 10 Nov 2019 09:43 PM PST So I'm in marching band and I'm a junior that plays the piccolo. In my town we do a thing called the indoor. It's pretty much where we perform or field show, parade tune, and other songs in the gym. Yesterday was the last day for the performance. Usually each class takes a picture and then our section. Someone in my section said that we weren't going to be doing any photos until later so I went and changed. When I came back, they where all taking a picture without me at the top of the bleachers. They looked right at me and didn't do anything. I was frozen in shock and by the time they were done I ran away crying. Turns out that they also took a junior photo and didn't include me since I'm fat. I don't know what to do. I'm fat and shy but I didn't think they hated me this much. I really need some advice please. |
Question: I feel like I always make my parents upset, I don't know how to make them happy with me? Posted: 10 Nov 2019 09:21 PM PST does anyone ever feel like the best thing to do to make ur parents happy is to not do or say anything because it seems when ever i say something they become angry or upset with me, what do I do to not make them mad at me? |
Posted: 10 Nov 2019 09:07 PM PST I (male) became very close with this girl and considered her my best friend we used to text all the time about 3 weeks ago she got a boyfriend and barely msgs me anymore, and when she does its to talk about said boyfriend. I don't know if I should call her out because I don't want her to feel like she HAS to talk to me but I do miss her and don't really know what to do. |
Question: Does moving away actually solve your problems? Posted: 10 Nov 2019 07:39 PM PST I've been extremely depressed the last few years, and have been thinking about changing locations. I've always wanted to move to Europe. It's not like I have friends here to miss anyways, it literally could not matter less to me if I packed up everything and left. |
Question: Going on a trip, should I let this issue go? Posted: 10 Nov 2019 06:27 PM PST About a year ago I connected with one of my high school friends. I'm currently planning a trip to Japan and I asked if she wanted to attend the trip. Now I am regretting that decision because of a couple of petty incidents in highschool. In my sophomore year of high school, my phone and mp3 player was stolen, months from each other. Both items were stolen while I was sitting next to the same friend. I can confirm my phone was stolen because I had corresponded with the thief via text messages begging for my phone. My friend and I were sitting in an auditorium for a presentation. I distinctly remember placing my MP3 player in the front pocket of my backpack. Immediately after the presentation, I went to grab my device and it was gone. I did return to search for the property but I never found it. My phone was stolen during my lunch period in which I sat next to the same friend. She knew both items were missing but I never confronted her with the coincidences because I did not have proof. I would like to note that based on her personality and appearance it would be hard to believe she could be a thief. She's really sweet, awkward, band geek and had a decent family. I could never imagine her being a thief so I never actually confronted her regarding the missing items. So without proof, I will never know if she did steal my items. Should I invite her anyways to this trip? Should I ask her regarding the property almost 10 years later? |
Question: Should I continue being friends with my middle school friend? Posted: 10 Nov 2019 06:24 PM PST I have a close friend at my middle school and we've been friends for months. As a shy kid, he is really my only friend and the only person I open up to about my problems. Though, he responds to me that he does not care. It sort of hurt my feelings but I thought up reasonable excuses why he might've said that. It was until at lunch, when I wanted to talk to him about schoolwork. He was watching a video on chrome book so I tapped on his shoulder to get his attention, but he ignored me. I then continuously tapped him and what shocked me was he reacted to me with a hostile attitude towards me to tell me to wait. After that, I just feel he prioritize his satisfaction relied on videos more than my wellbeing. I want to stop being friends with him, but if I stop being friends with him, I'll be a loner. What do I do? |
Posted: 10 Nov 2019 06:13 PM PST Today's my birthday, so yesterday/lastnight my bestfriend decided to get me drunk. Long story short, the bucket was my bestfriend by the end of the night. I threw up a total of 6 times, and my throat has been extremely sore since then. Is there anything besides warm salt water that I can use/take to make the rawness go away? FYI. I'm never drinking again. |
Question: My friend is acting weird all of a sudden, why? ? Posted: 10 Nov 2019 05:48 PM PST A while ago I told him I liked him, and he said he was flattered but not looking for a relationship. Our friendship was fine for awhile. But these last few weeks, he has been acting weird. He stares at me a lot, and I'll ask him why he keeps staring at me and he just says nothing. I'll catch him staring at me, and we hold eye contact for a long time until I look away because it gets weird. I'm usually not the type to stare at my crush, because I'm shy and hate eye contact. He admits that he always tries to get my attention though, even though I don't see him try. He has been talking to me less than usual. But he always say dumb things when we do talk now. Like one time he was pushing me to finish a small assignment and he also likes to annoy me. I told my friend behind me he always likes to bother me. He said "We were friends last year and now she wants nothing to do with me." He said this KNOWING I like him.. He does tend to tease me a lot, he always has. But I've been watching his body language also, and he has hit feet towards me. He also has been looking in my direction a lot in the one class we have. I'm so confused on why he is acting like this. Help? |
