Question: Taking stepdaughter out for birthday? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 04:52 PM PST So I'm taking my 7 year old step daughter to get her nails done for her birthday and I'm not sure if I should let her get hers done herself or get mine done as well. I don't want to take the spotlight away from her. I'm new to this step mom thing. Any advice? |

Question: Should I just give up on love? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 02:42 PM PST So I'm 23 and I'm stuck going to a commuter school where no one wants to talk to each other. It's impossible to meet people here; I have absolutely no friends. And when I say no friends, I mean 0. Everyone I've come across here is so rude, mean, and unfriendly, I just don't even want to talk to people anymore. Even making basic eye contact with people gives you mean glares. Not only does this happen with simply trying to meet people as friends, but even when dating, it's just impossible, again for the aforementioned reasons. It seems like to even have a shot at dating, you have to have a good inner circle of friends (which, again, I don't have). No one does any clubs here, so that's not a way to meet people; there's no nightlife/campus town, so again, that's not an option. It's the most depressing place to be when you're in a situation like this where you're lonely as **** and no one gives a single ****; I feel invisible and I wish I were dead. |
Question: My friend's bf raped me? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 02:40 PM PST Today I(f19) was with my friends (m 27)boyfriend and we were shopping for her a birthday gift and we went back to his place to wrap the gifts then he started touching me but I didn't say anything( im stupid ) then we kissed and I told him that he couldn't do that to me because I was her friend but he continued then when I got up to leave he threw me on the bed and told me to get on my knees and to beg for him to stop (I didn't) then he made me give him a ******** then he forced himself on top of me and raped me. Yes I have told the police they did a rape kit and i told my friend and she told me I was lying and that he would never do this. what should I do I really want her to be my friend |
Question: Whats a CHEAP Friendsgiving I can do? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 10:10 AM PST My friends and I are all extremely poor. Our home lives are all different and the holidays can be difficult. For Thanksgiving, we wanted to make our own family dinner but we don't really have the money for anything. We're in high school so It's not like we can just go over to each other's homes and make something without bothering each other's families. Whats some stupid little things we could do to help make the holiday a little bit better? |
Question: How should I end the friendship? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 09:28 AM PST I'm not going to see my friend until next week. I've currently been ignoring her because of the way she treated me and hurt me. Honestly, I think it's better if I just stopped being close with her. I don't know if I should end the friendship on text as soon as possible or wait till I get back to tell her. I need your opinions please. (I've given her chances before, this was the last straw) |
Question: Do I warn my classmates they are about to meet a weird man.? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 09:08 AM PST I am in college right now and have been talking to my new computer science major friends about our times on robotics teams. When talking, I recalled that our coach used to eat chicken wings by shoving the whole thing into his mouth and then spitting out clean bones 10 seconds later. When talking to friends in my high school about it, they seemed unfazed so I figured it was normal. Now that I am in college, I am learning this was not normal. I am still on the team's mailing list. Is it acceptable to contact incoming students to the team to warn them about this? or should I first ask the coach why he does what he does? |
Question: Is our relationship with our boss OK? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 07:07 AM PST I work in an office with 11 other women. Our boss is a 31 year old single guy who is the best boss in the world. Beside being our boss is he also our good friend. He has a great sense of humor and it is a pleasure to come to work each morning. He has helped us in so many ways. He is constantly training us to improve our skills so we can get raises and/or promoted. One day at a staff meeting one of us jokingly asked him what we would have to do for him to get the highest raise ever in the company. With a big smile he said, "If I answered that question truthfully, you could sue me for sexual harassment." We all had a good laugh. He made our day. Other people in the company that heard about this told us we were being disrespectful of our boss. What do you think? Were we? We thought we were just having fun. |
Question: Should I be looking for a new job? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 06:28 AM PST My boss who is in his 50s brought in his new wife who is in her 20s and introduced her to his employees. When I met her, she said "you look vaguely familiar, have we met before"? I told her I did not recall ever meeting her before. I ask her what her maiden name was and she told me. That night when I got home, I found my high school year book from a long time ago. OH MY GOD, I had went to high school with her and even went on a date with her one time. This is not good. If she comes to our office again I plan to avoid her as much as possible and hope she does not see and/or remember me. Do you think it would be a problem if my boss knew I had dated his wife at one time or am I worried for nothing. Should I be looking for a new job? |
Posted: 18 Nov 2019 01:41 AM PST Not technically a question yet but ill explain. she had no friends when she asked me out, for 2 yrs she self harmed and kept switching meds and i was there for it all. I did nothing but validate and support her but after a series of terrible events in my own life i was in a bad place. I started seeing a therapist n **** but i could no longer drive bc of these problems. My parents were/are abusing me and i dont feel safe in my home. My now ex was starting college that was only 45 minutes away and after 2 weeks of her barely texting me at college she dumps me over a less than 20 min phone call. We had talked about it before that we wanted to make it work but i guess she was just lying. She asked me to stay in my abusive house and i did just so she wud end up ditching me anyway. Now im stuck in this house with no one to help me. I gave 2+ yrs to helping her and she ditched me when i needed help. She used me when she had no one until she found some random people in college to call "friends". All through my suffering she kept making about herself. So anyway i hate her so much i hope she dies. I just want karma to actually work for once. I have so much anger after being used and ditched. Is this normal? And what do i do? Be nice plz. I tried to keep this short Omg i left my account open at a library and someone. Asked this? Plz help, how do i delete? |
Posted: 17 Nov 2019 08:51 PM PST Whenever people around me go through things I always want to give them advice and try to help. Usually they say I give great advice. But in the back of my mind I always feel mad and jealous that people care enough and try and help them including myself. I always do it though because the right thing to do. Like a lot of people I've been through a lot of crazy times, and no one to mentor me through them. But does anyone ever get that weird feeling like I do? |
Question: I need help with this ? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 07:26 PM PST I am a 27 year old female and I have a good friend that's 60 and on Wednesday she came over so we could talk and I told her how I missed our talks because we don't talk much like we used to and so she told me that she would try to do better so she has been texting me a little more since that day. When I had told her that I wish we could talk more I regret saying that so should I have even said it? I was not forceful when I said it |
