Question: How do i tell my “cousin” that he isn’t our real family ? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 01:44 PM PST I have a really annoying cousin who's 7. He's adopted from China as a baby. I want him to stop hanging around because he's technically not our family. My aunt and uncle still brings him to family reunions. They could'nt have a real kid so they had to adopt him |
Posted: 17 Nov 2019 12:32 PM PST This way she will not let the grandkids near him |
Posted: 17 Nov 2019 12:29 PM PST My last name is Dahmer. I am related to Jeffrey but he's a second cousin of my fathers so he's not a close relative. I only met him once and I was about 10 at the time. I do remember it but only because of who his father was. Some of the family remove themselves from Jeffrey's family but my grandfather did not. I've never going to visit Jeffrey when he was in prison then my parents made us go to the burial when he died. So how do I respond when people ask me how I'm related.? I'm afraid if I say how they're going to judge me like if it were my brother or father rather than my parents 2nd cousin. |
Question: Shoplifted, afraid of getting in trouble? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 11:29 AM PST I'm only 15.. and I was at my local mall looking at clothes and stuff and I walked into Nordstrom and there were some clothes I really want so I just grabbed them from the tables and put them in my bag and walked out of the store and got away with it, then I went into Claires and took some shoes and put them in my bag and walked out, then i went into the Apple Store and went to an employee and told him I wanted to buy an iMac and he went into the back and handed me one and asked for my payment method but i ignored him and grabbed the big box and ran out of the store with it and i heard him call for security but i kept running until i was out of the mall then i ran down the block until i got to my grandmas house which is really close. im home now but im worried i might get caught later |
Question: My boyfriend left me because I didn't get an abortion? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 11:21 AM PST I'm 15 and he is 19 and so basically i became pregnent from him and he got mad because he didnt want me to be and wanted me to get an abortion but i said i really dont want to and he left me |
Question: Im annoyed how often my fiance shows his sister more attention than me? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 11:16 AM PST He's 24 and helped raise his 17 yo sister. She stays at are apartmeent every weekend. He spoils her as in buying her new clothes. Hello...im his fiance he should be spoiling me. Am i right? Both these sisters one on each end . Oh and he spoils his mom too (white shorts) as in bavysitting. He used to buy me new outfits every week now his sistees need clothes. Ugh |
Question: Am I losing my mind? Taking all constructive criticism...? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 10:58 AM PST So I'm pregnant with my second child, he'll be born in another month. I now have a 8 month old. Their dad moved here a few months before our first child was born. I got us an apartment and we lived together for a few months but he left because he complained about his job and we always argued. He's now been gone for about 7 months and hasn't helped me with our first son at all, really. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have hate in my heart towards him I'm still angry that I'm living back at home with my mom because I couldn't pay my bills alone due to me falling asleep on the clock after I had my son. I made some big mistakes these past two years. I just can't understand why my mother is still keeping in contact with their father I feel that he doesn't really love our kids because he doesn't know how to because he's always been on his own. He's even sent her a picture of his new shoes he bought for himself and said he'd buy our son something when he has a chance because he's not making any sales at his door to door job. My mother and I keep arguing because she continues to talk to him she even told him to focus on food and shelter and not to worry about our son. Why is my mom doing this? I just don't understand I feel like she is not loyal to me. I feel that me not getting much sleep at night and doing everything on my own is driving me insane I wish their dad would just go away it's not like he's helping. He's running from child support he just keeping in contact so my mom can see what he posts on his social media. |
Question: Brother And Girlfriend Being Too Bossy? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 10:38 AM PST I live in one of my dads properties with my brother and his girlfriend in another room. There is also another tenant living there too. The issue is my brother and his girlfriend are acting like they are the boss of the house (His girlfriend is always there and stays regularly doesn't even pay rent either) and telling me and the tenants what we should be doing cleaning, tidying etc even though we do our bit and my brother always sides with her and joins her in being bossy to us. Tried talking to my dad about it but nothing is changing and it's really starting to get to me now. They dont even pay rent and they are telling the others things like "were not gonna tell you again to do this/that" "Remember you need to do this yeah" "Can you please keep the noise down at night because we are trying to sleep" and the list goes on. What can I do to resolve this? Thanks |
Question: Why do people blame me for being sexually abused as a child? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 10:09 AM PST They say I participated so have no right to be upset. I was ages 5 to 9 before my step-father was arrested and committed suicide. My mother has blamed me ever since. I am 33 now and only see her at family events. |
Question: My parents hate me, should I just leave? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 09:41 AM PST I'm 16 and I'm the oldest of my 2 younger brothers. I'm a girl. My brother is 15, and the other is 13. All my life, my parents never loved me. My 15 year old brother was their favourite. They have bought both my brothers the best stuff, and my dad would always be happy with them and supports them. When I make a mistake, it's beating time, but when my brothers do it, it's ok. When we go out to eat, my parents tell me to stay home and clean up the house and they'll bring me food when they come back. They all go shopping, bowling, and having fun without me. I'm always told to stay at home and clean. My mother doesn't talk to me at all. She loves my brothers and is always laughing and smiling with them. I feel so alone and depressed. I always try to empress them and grab their attention but they tell me to go away and get a life. I really want to leave the house, what do I do? Is it because I'm a girl that they hate me so much? No, I'm not adopted and I'm sure of it. My parents are my biological parents if anyone wants to know. How come they're treating me like this? Also, when my brothers attack me, my parents encourage them. When they see me winning a fight, they push me down and make my brother win. My family go out together. My dad, brothers and mom. They leave me at home. Even when the summer break arrives, I have to stay at home whenever they go out to the zoo or other fun places. This summer, they went out and stayed for 2 days while I was at home alone. They told me that they can't afford for me to come with them. I know spoiled brats and I'm not a spoiled brat. I just want to be loved like my brothers. It's also not fair for me. |
Question: I need help with my autistic brother? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 09:26 AM PST So im 13 and my brother is 12. He has mild autism (he can talk, and do things that normal people do). He is so embarrassing in public. Before i talk, I have ADHD and can get pretty mad some times, so excuse me (im not blaming this on my adhd). But their is one thing that really pisses me off, he is soooooooo annoying. He wont be quiet for at least 2 freaking seconds and he always follows me. I know he is my brother and looks up to me and stuff, but he just acts like a 5 year old, I never get privacy away from him. For example, So i have a game room upstairs right, and when i come home from school he is working with his therapist and sees me and runs up stairs and wont leave me alone. He keeps asking me a bunch of freaking question like i know everything or something. And also he watches everything that i do on the computer. Can't i just have some privacy? Also he plays my video games and just leaves the consoles on and he treats the game room like a dump. I have talked to my parents before, but they say they will do something about but never do. Thank u for reading and i hope u think of something |
Question: Fiances drinking problem or am I being overly sensitive? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 08:06 AM PST My finance when I first met him drank probabaly an 18 pack a night but now hes down to 4 to 5 days a week and only drinking to excess 1 or two times a week now. Well yesterday he went scouting with his brother for a hunting spot where he brought his two kids age 5 and 8 with him. I asked him not to drink during them scouting, he said he wouldn't. They got back and I was at work. I called my fiance who was obviously smashed and got irritated that he was so drunk at 5 o'clock and watching the kids. Well the kids call me about an hour layer saying he puked and passed out and they haven't eaten yet. So I get off work early and come home to the kids. When he wakes up later that night I'm pissed and naked it very known! He starts going off that he should be allowed to drink if he wants and hes a grown man and I'm giving him rules ect.. maybe I am! I grew up with two severely bad alcoholic parents one who ended up committing suicide over it.. so I'm a little more sensitive to these things I guess. Anyways he starts screaming at the kids for calling me saying its there fault I intervened and he pushed up almost down the stairs. It got out of hand.. I got the situation defused but was still second guessing myself maybe i started **** when i shouldn't have and he should be allowed to let loose from time to time... idk |
Question: Can a parent not resemble their daughter at all including her two grandchildren? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 06:49 AM PST My grandmother on my mothers side, does not look at all like my mother, nothing. She mentioned some personality traits but thats from being around the person. My mother looks exactly like her father, I should mention, my grandpa is of Russian ansystry. And my mother looks like she is French or Spanish(Spain), but her mother has some black blood as well. My mother has none of this. My brother and I look nothing like our grandmother. Can my mother have a different mom, my grandpa did mess around a lot before he married my grandmother. Also my family is very catholic, I always thought she could be one of my aunts illegtimate daughters and my grandfather took her in as he was the oldest to hide this, if I test my moms blood and lets say its not a match to her mom, how do you find out who it is? |
Question: My brother was a serial killer. How do I stop blaming myself for his evil? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 05:56 AM PST I feel when people see me they immediately associate me with him and therefore I must live in shame. I even thought of changing my last name but I did not as it's locally known and even was a national news. He's dead now but I still think I'm associated with the crime years later. He was guilty of shooting up his school and then killing himself. My family has lived in shame for 20 years now. The shooting in California this week open pain and me as do any of these as they bring back the feelings of what my brother Dad. I often wish my brother had never been born. |
Question: Why my sister is so cunning? Posted: 17 Nov 2019 05:32 AM PST i had a conversation with my sister about the war in my country in 2000AD. she started by watching the video of war... how did they clicked this video.. i told her that there were cameras (digital)by that time... she won t agree me, and told that there might be reeled cameras... then...her logic stopped.. again she started telling how would someone click the video when war was going on. then i asked her if she think that the war video is fake...she told no.... then i again told her that they clicked the video anyhow ...the proof is that the video is clicked.... she again started arguing that there was no proof and she needs to see before believing anything.. i laughed and told her that how can someone see everything that happened in the past?? LOL... now she started telling that how did those people knew how to use camera.. i told her those who could use guns, those who had studied engineering (the war leader was an engineer) could easily use such cameras and it was not a big deal.. she still didn t agree with me.. she told how did they bought that, that might be expensive.. i told her that those who had guns could literally buy anything they liked... even if they just went to shops with guns and asked for cameras, they would easily get the cameras... now she had lost all points of arguing... now she started telling me how bad was i . how arrogant was i. and why would not she argue with me.. LOL.. i was not even arguing. Why so?? |
Posted: 17 Nov 2019 03:47 AM PST The funeral was yesterday and I gave my regards. The husband's family seemed annoyed we came. We did not stay long at the reception. My sister was buried in a private service last Thursday. The husband's kids were not hers. We gave them our regards at the funeral reception and then left as we seemed to be agitating the man's family by our presence. Do we reach out any further or since they were not biological nieces and nephews do we just not contact any further? The bio child my sister had with the man she murdered was killed also in the murder-suicide. The couple was splitting and something happened that must have set off my sister who has never been stable and refused help. |
Question: Mom is keeping me awake? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 09:50 PM PST She's on the phone with my sister, complaining about everything wrong with my sister, her dog, and her fiancé. I can't sleep, can barely keep eyes open and there's nowhere else for me to go. I have said call her in the morning, but no, let's just keep me awake. My grandmother and aunts have to sleep with TV on, cousin has to have freezing room. I can't deal with both. I don't have a mask or soundproof headphones. Help! |
Question: What should I do about my biomom? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 09:43 PM PST My biological mother is harassing my whole family including my new boyfriend. She steals photos of me from others facebook accounts and posts them on her's. I'm 19 years old. I'll be getting married next year sometime and i don't want her in part of my life. Question: Should I reach out to his other baby mama. ? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 07:10 PM PST I was having relations with this guy. He ended up getting me pregnant. Them months later he decided he didn't care anymore and became very distant. I don't care about making things work with him anymore. But when my daughter is born I want her to know her sister. I have not met his other child's mother yet. But I found her on FB. Should I reach out to her and tell her that her daughter has a sister on the way. Am I wrong for this. I know this will make my baby father furious. Yet it's not about him. My daughter deserves to know her siblings. He is also not with his first child's mother because he is a joke. So I figured of I reached out to her she may understand. Any suggestions on how to go on about this? Thank you all for your kind advice. |

Question: How do I tell my parents I’m dating an older man? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 06:11 PM PST So, this is really tough. My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year. My parents are well aware that we are together, but they don't know his age. I'm currently 19, and he is 31. Thanksgiving is coming up and he, understandably, does not want to join me at my parents' house for the holiday because they don't know his age. I feel really stuck because my father is not known to be the calmest of people in this world and I am worried about what the outcome could be. Any honest advice would help, please. |
Posted: 16 Nov 2019 06:05 PM PST So over the weekend, my family went on a trip out of state. After a 6 hour car ride my parents made me sit though 6 hours of boredom at my grandma's cousin's house, which ended with me going outside to wait before we left bc my family laughed at me for no reason. The next day I asked to stay at the hotel instead of sitting there again and my mom agreed. She then tried to make me wait there for 3 hours and I said I would just wait in the car. She gets mad at me and cusses me out, telling me i'm a burden and i'm gonna lose all my friends because they're gonna get sick of me because I'm a terrible person. All of those things I told her I felt in confidence when I had a breakdown a few months ago and she reassured me that they weren't true. She won't apologize and says she "refuses to feel guilty" and we haven't spoken normally in a week. The few words she does speak to me are extremely petty and rude and she gets mad at my dad when he's nice to me, even after I apologized for "embarrassing her". I want her to apologize but she refuses to acknowledge what she said was out of pocket and irrelevant. What should I do? |
Question: Why do women hate their husbands families ? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 06:05 PM PST They tell their husbands not to help their family when in need. That's just wicked. |
Question: How can I get my sister to wear underwear ? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 05:59 PM PST my sister is 19 and she lives with me (female, 17) my mom and my brother (male, 11). she has a habit of wearing shirts long enough to cover where her underwear should so I guess she thought '**** it, I can get away with it' and started going commando. point is, it makes me uncomfortable that shes going around the house and sitting on the couches and chairs without underwear on. I'm sure you could imagine why. but every time I call her out on it, she gets mad and insists that she is wearing underwear, but it's just very thin, and then accuses me of looking there in the first place, when the reality of it is that the only reason I noticed is because I looked at her while we were talking and saw, well you know, all of it. so anyway, question is, How do I get my sister to stop going commando around the house, without her calling me a creep and all that ****. I just want to live my life without the fear of sitting where she sat while she was bare-assed. thanks |
Question: My parents don’t care my 17 year old brother drinks beer? (No hate please)? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 05:58 PM PST So my brother who is 17 often drinks beer, last night my dad and him went on the deck at around 8:45 at night and my dad just smiled and laughed as my brother chugged a bud light. They simply don't care. He drinks with his friends, and he works with kids after school (at an after school babysitting program) if he has any run in with the cops he's fired. He does not care though and continued nor do my parents. Please help, please do not troll or send rude comments, I'm going through a tough time, thanks for understanding. Response 1: I would appreciate it if you would not give me hate comments. It's more then one, don't assume I never said it's just one. Please don't make assumptions |

Question: Should I text her again? I need urgent help!? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 05:42 PM PST This is long but this is really important to me and I need advice.. so I have an old best friend that I used to be friends with since kindergarten, and when we were 14 we stopped being friends due to a fight and our parents even got involved because it was so bad. I'm 17 and shes 16 now and I reached out in october and texted her asked how she was and she replied and it went really well and shes home schooled now due to her depression and anxiety and IBS and we talked and were becoming friends again but then suddenly she stopped replying and after 8 days i messaged her "are u ok? its ok if u dont want to text" and she said " no no im just really busy" and then texted me like 5 times that night because i didnt reply which made me think she probably does care and the next day i replied and we started talking again like old times and then she disappeared again! and after a week i texted again and asked how she is doing and she still didnt reply and its been 2 weeks since then and i added her on snapchat to try to get her attention but never added me back so i removed and added again today and she still didnt reply. I looked on her youtube which im still subscribed to and shes been uploading on her playlists meaning shes obviously fine. why is she ignoring me? should i text her again and ask if shes okay? I'm a guy by the way Why is she ignoring me? |

Posted: 16 Nov 2019 05:14 PM PST I have a older brother who just moved in with us he is an alcoholic apparently was on drugs he told me he killed someone because the person was robbing his house that is why he is back here. I don't know if I should tell our mom or not we live with her he told me not to tell her but she does say stuff to him that might get him riled up you'd know if you have a son who is an alcoholic maybe not I don't know but it isn't the greatest stuff reason I am thinking of telling her I don't want him to hurt her in anyway I don't think he would but for safety would you tell her? Anonymous that's actually not a bad idea lol but to mention I am trying to get into priesthood I don't think it would be a good idea in a way but I do like your thinking. I really don't think I'll tell anyone he could be lying also but if I do I'll just write my mom a note. |
Question: How to get help for mentally ill family member ? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 03:15 PM PST In the black community often mental health is swept under the rug by our people. I've been a victim of this my entire life... My grandma will not go get the help shes needed for decades. It has destroyed our whole family. She isolated everyone (I think this was means for her to never feel alone, has to be in control of everything none of us were allowed to work, weren't allowed to socialize, she also made everyone have to be a servant of her and depend on everything from her including driving, making appointments. She even did this to my grandpa and though he never shows it I know he's tired of it. Then she talks about all of us to eachother, belittles everyone makes comparisons of herself to everyone to live by those standards. I'm honestly embarrassed of her in public she thinks people are out to get her, don't get me wrong she's highly intelligent and a lot of the things she speaks are brilliant but humanity isn't ready for the things she says yet. I try to tell her not to say certain things out in public because people are judgemental. She's getting worse and it breaks my heart to see because she's all I've ever known as a parent but the abuse that comes with it is pushing me to the edge. I have my own child now and my own life to try to live shes used to me being a little kiss *** and doing everything she says but now I speak up to defend myself she goes bizerk and says I'm a disrespectful *****. |
Posted: 16 Nov 2019 02:41 PM PST This will be long but after a week or a little over a week my brother just came back a long with 2 homeless people which my mom has done nothing about. She says she is tired of baby sitting him long story short he is an alcoholic but if they are not gone in a few hours I am thinking of calling the cops I do help around the house and I do not want to clean up after them if they stay would you call the cops? I would think my mom is smart enough to do that but no I do help with money to and buy my own food so I do think I have a little bit of a right. Yes but they could go to a homeless shelter or somewhere. Later I guess it will be either me or them I have places I can go to if it makes me a bad guy so be it honestly. Update: I did talk to my mom my brother apparently is sending them to a motel I am not sure how long that will last though or if they will come back also @John read @Helens answer they made my points very clearly I would give Helen the best answer but it won't let me. |
