so my best friend and i were going to have a sleepover on sunday night, it's wednesday and she says that she has just now been informed that she has a work potluck on sunday from 6-8. we made the sunday plans over a week in advance and now she says she wants to move the sleepover even though i'm busy on friday, saturday, sunday, and monday. i don't know whether i should be understanding and cancel one of my plans or whether she should just not go to the work potluck.

I'm 15 and a sophomore more in high school and my friend is 16 in the same grade. We have been friends for almost 5 years, despite us living 1.5 hours away from each other. She invited me to go to Costa Rica with her and her parents. Everything is payed for except airfares, which i would be paying most for because i have a job. My mom didn't say no, but she seemed lenient to let me go. I wouldn't be missing any school, and nothing important is taking place while I would be gone. Whenever I want to go places with my friends, she makes excuses and regularly says that i can't because "im the baby." How do i convince her that this is good for me and she should let me go. 

This is totally weird but I stg it's true. I lived in Florida for the first14 years of my life. I went to the same daycare for the first 5 years of my life where there was mostly female teachers. They were all great but I specifically remember this one woman and I can still remember her face to this day but she was around 200ish pounds, long brown hair with a little bit of grey in it(always in a scrunchy) probably in her early to mid 40s, and she always had a grin on her face but it was more of a soothing face. Like I never felt disturbed or creeped out by her. I would see her almost every day in daycare and even when I was outside of school or at the store with my mom. when I started elementary school I would continue to see her at the school SOMETIMES as if she was a parent or something. I was a kid so I never thought it was weird. I moved to TN when I was 15 and for the first time I saw her again at my dads church dinner. She smiled at me but didn't say anything. When I was 17 one of my best friends died in a car accident. At his funeral I saw her again. Every time I see her she is alone and doesn't say anything to me. She never approaches me or says anything to me.    

Long story short me and my next door tenant split the Internet bill and whenever my Internet is down I'll text him and he usually reply me within minutes and fix it also when the monthly bill comes he's the one notifying me. but lately he hasn't replied me after messaging him for 5 days and I barely see him because he comes home late and leaves early to work. Should I pay not pay him or pay half less if he'd reach me next month?

I'm in the 7th grade and i have a high functioning autism! I have made multiple friends , i have some friends in school and some Friends outside of school, I'm in a normal classes, now my friends, some of my other friends have ADD and ADHD, and i have 2 neurotypical friends, they don't know i have autism because i act as normal as i can around them, but It's hard for me to be friends with the other neurotypical kids in my class, when I'm socializing with someone, i act weird and i make the wrong facial expressions and i make weird body movements, so the normal kids in my class sometimes tell me why do i act weird and odd, how can i improve my social skills and socialize as a neurotypical? 

So ive been going out with this girl for over 2 months.  Everything has been good,   last night we watched a movie at her house and we cuddled.   This whole day i sent her 2 text messages and she hasn't replied.    She always responds on her breaks at work,   or as soon as she is finished work.    She funished work 1hr ago and she hasn't messaged me at all. Is she done with me???   Or am i overthinking???  Any advice

I have lots of online friends but i've never been able to make friends irl. im in college and tried to hang out with a few people but I haven't meshed well with anyone. the only people who talk to me or agree to hang out end up having very different interests. anyone who I think is cool has their own friend group and doesn't seem interested when I ask to hang out.

I only have 2 friends but all they do is sit around playing video games. They don't work on getting an education or job, they don't have any goals. They don't actually hang out with me outside of the house either, they only want to stay indoors at home so it's not like I have anything I could go do things with. I have nobody else to talk to so I might be lonely but do you think it's worth it to stop talking? They said they'll be fine without me BTW.

So recently I got the courage to stand up to a narcissist in my life. This person would pick arguments over everything and would shame me when I had a different opinion then them. She called herself my friend but I was tired and had enough. I broke off the friendship when I confronted her, she laughed at me and kept asking me if I was mad and kept ignoring my questions. She denied ever saying anything... I recorded the conversation we had just in case she would come up lying later on. Another one of my friends that I've known since middle school is also friends with the narcissist and found out about what happened I vented out to her and told her everything that happened. At first she was supportive but now I get the impression that she didn't believe me. I don't blame her since the narcissist acts completely different around other people. My friend is still talking to the narcissist. I know that I shouldn't break off their friendship because it's none of my business but it just makes me really sad. Those two people are the only people I talked to. Am I overreacting? Should I apologize to the narcissist or did I do the right thing? Should I expose the recording of her? 

I am the only girl in my AP Calculus class. My classmates are all my friends and are great guys. We have a lot of home work so we sometimes gather at someone's house and do our homework together. This time it was my house. After we completed the homework, my mom served all the guys fresh homemade apple pie and ice cream. They loved it. We usually rotate whose house we go to for doing the homework. However the guys ask me if we could go to my house again for the homework. That is OK with me. I just thought they liked the pie and ice cream my mom made for them. Then one of the guys told me the real reason they wanted to come to my house. When mom served them pie and ice cream she wore her Daisy Dukes. Are all high school guys like this that they are horny for someone twice their age?

My roommate of 4 years (co-worker of 5 years) has decided to seek job opportunities back to his home and move out.  When we I first met him, I actually kinda didn't like the person. But over the years, I have gotten to know him more and I think we've become really close friends. We've hung out with the same circle of friends from both work and outside work and have also travelled together a couple of times with common friends. His also the type of friend I can ask for meaningful advice and has had a positive impact of my life.   Do you guys have any advice on how to deal with the changes to come? I really would like to remain good friends and not drift apart. I don't have many friends and I would like to hold on to a close friendship. I know I can always make new ones, but friendships that I feel that are close takes years to cultivate. I'm also staring at the possible of finally living alone for the first time in my adult life.   Btw, this person is moving far away from our current city (10 hrs drive). From you guys experience, did anyone stay as lifelong friends with the their ex-roommates even after they move out?

So I'm going to this thing where 400 some people will be at. I won't know a single soul. How do I meet people without it being creepy or weird? We all are freshman to seniors.
