In the past, I had seen him go on 5-6 day benders where he would drink and do drugs constantly. Usually while mixing the two substances, he acted pretty normal but him just drinking alcohol never tended to end well. He usually got violent and anything could set him off. One night on a night out of just drinking, he completely trashed my apartment and broke my doorframe to my bedroom. Ive had him yell inappropriate things to me in restaurants and have melt downs while in my car and knock my gear shift in and out of gears while I was driving. Anyways, I basically told him I couldn't be in a relationship like that and asked that he get help. He's been sober for the most part recently but we have trip coming up and he says he wants to let lose and have a few drinks. Because of his history of violent behavior, I have expressed that it makes me nervous but he gets extremely defense and tells me that if I'm going to be "in his ear" or criticizing him, that I shouldn't come. I don't see that as me being critical. More like scared because I know what could happen. Anyways I'm curios if I'm wrong to feel this way or if I should even go now. We got into a big fight and he made me feel guilty for expressing concern. I'm just wondering if it is wrong for me to be concerned? He also says I bring out those violent behaviors but I don't see how? I don't nag him. Usually just leave situations when they escalate. Help! |

I realized I was attracted to them from a really young age (about 8 or 9 years old) which I got over after a while, but since a few years ago I've gotten back into it. I really don't see this as a phase, I don't see myself getting over this. I don't want to feel like a creep or a racist guy though. I don't view Asian women in any stereotypical way when it comes to personality, they're all individuals with unique qualities. I'm not even really that attracted to the whole submissive stereotype. I'm not into Anime at all. I'm not obsessed with Asians or Asian culture. But for some reason I have a soft spot for Asian girls. I've tried hard to find other races of women equally attractive but it's hard for me. I've been attracted to some Hispanic women before, but not really all that much. Obviously personality is the most important thing. But Asian girls are just really pretty to me for some reason. I also feel bad because theres non asian girls at my school that are crushing on me right now, there aren't a ton of Asian girls at my school. It's been about a year and a half, and most days I feel like I've moved on, but whenever I start a new relationship, it just...it bugs me. We didn't date, but we both wanted to. He was my one of best friends back then, but he was my roommates bf. We clicked so, so well, and we both knew we wanted to date eachother, but it would have ruined a lot of things for both of us at that point, so we just kinda danced around it and eventually we just stopped talking...it was sudden, but also not? I eventually started seeing someone, I think is what did it, if not the rapidly destabilization of my roommate and I's friendship (for unrelated reasons, she's really just a **** person). She threatened to kill herself if he ever left her, but she was terrible and made him miserable. Maybe it's from lack of closure, or maybe it's just something I'll never stop thinking about but...does anyone have even a little advice about just...at least ignoring the thoughts a bit? I haven't told anyone about it, but sometimes it's just... difficult to ignore. I don't really feel regret or shame, just kinda...a bittersweet, passive agressive yearning. |
