Question: Should I report my brother to the police for porn? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 10:01 AM PST In 1987 my brother went to prison for 13 years for attempted rape on a child. He got out in 2001. My sister recently found a lot of child pornography on his computer including men having sex with little girls and it was a lot he had anime porn of children also. She told me don't tell or he'll go back to prison again. What should I do? He probably will not act out again but having this stuff is bothering me. He is 59 and does not work now. He had a successful career in software development until recently. |
Question: How do I find my mom? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:52 AM PST I grew up with a single father I never knew anything about my mother until I kept on asking and asking my dad finally answered he said she did not want anything to do with me so he got full custody and we moved to another part of America I kind of want to meet her but I don't know how to find her I know her first and last name |

Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:16 AM PST She buys the wrong things, doesnt communicate, or forgets, or loses the list She doesnt clean the house nearly as much as I do when our dogs trash the place. She spilled my margaretta in the freezer Shes always super depressed, picks fights, acts like im.bossy when im.npt. she gets super defensive if I try to ask her to exercise or do yard work. I work full time, pay the Bill's, and dont like pig stides . It's her attitude that bothers me. We live together and she is really stressing me out. She smokes too much pot. She buys me stuff though and is supportive, but can be draining lately or miserable |

Question: I hate my part time job ? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:43 AM PST I work weekends washing up in a pub, I've been there since I was 13 and now I'm 16, I do every Friday and Saturday night and Sunday lunches. I really hate it there, the staff have all changed and become nasty, I worry all week at school about going there, the owner has made me cry twice in the last month and the staff ignore me/won't look at me. It's family run so I can't exactly complain to anyone. I've told my mum I really don't want to go back can't I just leave as I feel they want me to go anyway and she keeps saying no and that if I leave I won't have any money coming in. She takes all my cash off of me and puts it in a savings account. I am really worried and it's making me ill. What shall I do? |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:28 AM PST my boyfriend's dad called me a ***** a couple of days ago and he didn't do a single thing. All he said was "she's not" and walked upstairs while I was on call and heard his dad call me a *****. I asked him about it a couple days later and he said he thought his dad would learn if he stayed silent, but his dad didn't and continued to call me a ***** (on call) for weeks straight. I talked to my boyfriend again about it and he said he can't do anything his dad is just like that, and that he's just gotten used to his dad calling me a *****. Am I wrong for wanting him to tell his dad to stop/ an apology? With his ex, the first time his dad called her a ***** he lashed out and argued with his dad, even ending up crying, whereas with me all he said was simply "she's not." |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:14 AM PST Knowing I'm outback she will change by the wi dow with the curtains open. Shower with the door open then step out as if it's a locker room she will change with her door open knowing g I'm in the house Then watches tv or goes to the kitchen in a bra. I said it's very uncomfortable for me. She said "why, we are family, I made you". Then like she will walk in on me changing a lot or start yelling. Then say that's nothing I have not seen before. I feel awkward now. |
Question: What do I say if my parents get mad at me for going to a funeral yesterday? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:57 AM PST They don't think I should go to funerals except immediate family. They feel it is an obsession of mine because 20 years ago was a little kid I was kind upset on death after my grandfather died. I'm not gonna tell them I went but I saw my grandmother there which means she's going to tell my parents and my parents are seeing me on Thanksgiving. |
Question: What should I get my sister who I don’t like for Christmas? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:55 AM PST My mom says I have to buy her something but I really don't like her she's mean to everybody. If she screams enough my parents always give her her way especially my mother. |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:09 AM PST My sister recently let me stay with her because my brother stole my rent money. So she volunteer for me and my son to stay with her. And When I got to her house there were dishes in the sink and she expected to wash them. She doesn't even HAVE a JOB! She basically wanted me to pay HER rent and clean up after her+her kids. (Which I had no problem with that). But she started accusing me of stealing her money, touching her kids and she also left her kids with me to feed them every day for 4 days. I don't even have a car...so I would ask her 15 year old to watch my son while I go walk or catch LYFT to get them some food+my son his Formula.( It was FREEZING)! Now she's not talking to me because I don't want to stay with her anymore. And every night when it was time for bed, she'll cut the heat down to 59. So how was she helping me? 🤔 Lastly I'm NOT staying with her for FREE neither sooooo She basically WANT me to watch her kids for FREE! Uh, uh, NOT doing it. Plus she was inviting random MEN to sleep over. Noooo NEVER AGAIN! |
Question: Should I forgive my dad? :( and how should I respond to his text? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 02:10 AM PST Should I forgive my dad? Long story short. My dad has never helped or been there for me and my brother as kids. Recently he got remarried and didn't invite me and my brother ( he even invited the whole street of people he barely knows but not his own children). Before he got married he told me that we were too much of the past and he needs to move on. It's been 6months after the wedding and now I get calls daily where he is crying saying he bad a big mistake and if I can please forgive him . What do I do? I feel like it's so hard to forgive him after all the hurt he has caused me and my brother . His new wife says he is up all night crying but I feel the only reason he feels guilty is because his new wife and family have told him to make an effort with his children. He recently text me a very long messages basically repeating how sorry he is that this is all his fault.... should I respond and if how can I get through to him in an intelligent, calm way? |
Question: Giant turd will not flush. It just spins around. Now what am I supposed to do? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 01:25 AM PST Ive tried peeing on it - nothing. I poured a coke on it - nothing. I got two choices that I don't want to try. I could use my moms toothbrush and try to 'saw' it down or I could grab it and put it in the trash. Yuck. Hurry please with your answer cause my girlfriend will be here soon. |
Question: What to do if your mother is getting abuse by your drunk stepdad? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 12:48 AM PST It doesn't happen a lot but yesterday it happened and I didn't know how to handle it idk what to do who to call or nothing I feel powerless and I'm the oldest of my mom's kids and I don't know where to take my siblings if it happens again tonight |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 12:15 AM PST I'm in talk therapy, but even though I spill my guts at therapy each time, holding nothing back,i still find myself wanting nothing more than to go to sleep and wake up with my brother and father healthy and happy again, never having to say goodbye ever again. I'm on medication, and it helps,to a degree. I just don't know what else to do. |
Posted: 23 Nov 2019 11:41 PM PST I asked both my wife and him just please no booze (I quite about 7 years ago - no alcoholic, just caused health issues 'cause I did like it a lot, but stop with NO HELP of any kind) BUT almost immediately, he broke that, wife convinced me lot it go, then in less than a week, did it again, still forget it - now tonight again (for 3 times in 2 weeks) this time REALLY weasted and looking to fight - if he were leaving it would not bother me much, but all day, and half the night! - One rule, no booze, and it's ignored, then starts a fight with me, but wife says I should forget it... so now what -- I would like to help, but that booze... It also dose not seem like he and his wife are trying too hard - I know it can be hard around herer -- but in almost 3 weeks I noticed an inquirey to help pay fees, exc, BUT not look at on place, just work (yes he does, hard too) drink (despite my msking it clear I would rather he didn't and not a drink, I mean plowed, and looking to fight with me. I knowns I used to drink a lot myself - but none for my in about 8 years or so - been around it no issue, even served it here - but to people that were leaving in a few hours, not stay and drink ALL day and night. Any clue to handle that with no hard-feelings -- He is generally a nice guy - but add alcohol, what a a**hole! -- No Booze, no prob. But he seems to need it, and a lot of it if he is not working the next day - and in itself - when he is not leaving. Ana -- I KNOW that IS NOT the case - I know the who family (I lived in there house for a while when they all were in one BIG house - 12 total) And when I first met this guy I was in my mid 20s, and he was still in High School - I few years later, (I was still drinking at that time) I did drink with him from time to time - and that is part of why I was worried about it to start with - I knew what he was like then, he never quite - and he knows I used to tie one one big time too -- USE TO the key |
Question: My father and I don’t see life the same? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 10:27 PM PST I am 16 years old and for some odd reason my father wants to do everything with me. For example, if me and my friends created a new project and I am making some money. My father demands that I teach him how to earn this type of money on the side. I disagree, if I worked hard to figure something out why should I share my secrets? If I go out with friends that their parents have good jobs my dad demands to meet their parents and he wants to ask for money, resources, etc. I believe in respecting others success and demanding them to tell you their secrets. Am I wrong or right? |
Question: My mom and sister are not talking and probably will never speak to each other again.? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 09:40 PM PST I won't lie my sister has done thongs but we're probably closer than any one in the family. She not going to be welcome for the holidays comein up. Question: Why didn’t I cry when my grandma died? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 08:30 PM PST I was about 7 or 8 when it happened. She died in her sleep in the room next to me and I found out that morning and we had to call our whole family. Even my dad, who rarely shows any emotion, cried. It was the first and only time I've ever seen him cry. My sister was also crying, I suppose she was closer to my grandma than I was. When it was happening, I forced tears as to not seem heartless. I've always wondered why it was that I didn't cry. I was fairly close to her and loved her a lot. Any response is helpful, thanks. |
Question: How is this fair ? Advise please? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 08:13 PM PST I'll try to make this short. My ex is abusive. I moved away with me and my three kids ( 1y- his) and my (15y & 18y- precious marriage). Dcf was involved a lot because I had behavioral issues with the 15 year old . They knew he was abusive to me and my kids. I was 6 months pregnant. He gets me fired I'm pregnant I ran out of money . I begged every agency to help me so I didn't have to go back. Moved back after baby was born. 3 months later abuse is back. My goal was to leave any way when I got my tax return and started this new job ( that I start here Monday) well things got bad cops where called . To be vindictive he called. Dcf on me. Dcf comes tells me I have to leave him or I will loose my children. I told her I have no money to leave yet and every cop and every dcf worker knows this situation. She said live in a shelter . He won't leave. So I pack my bags call every shelter they are full. So I say forgot it I'll sleep In the car with the kids. Then my one year old starts throwing up I take her to the hospital she has pneumonia. So I had to go to back home. I just don't understand how this happens . I'm the victim but I am punished . My job that I'm supposed to start is out the window now because I'll be in a shelter how am I supposed to do this. I have no family my parents died 10 years ago. I'm truly alone. For months I've tried agencies . They won't help because they are out of funds or I can't live in shelters cause my son is 18. Or if they will take my son there full. |
Posted: 23 Nov 2019 07:02 PM PST Hi! So, just some background information. My mom has a disability that makes it where she can't leave the house a lot and she is in a lot of pain all the time. Now, I'm not saying that excuses anything, but it could be a factor. (She doesn't get to talk to a lot of people so maybe she just likes talking.) Anyways, some of the things that she says that annoy me, and in turn make me angry (because she repeats it a lot) is "Do you understand me?" and "How was school?" (I know that is kinda stupid but it just annoys me a lot. Maybe because I just got home from a lot day at school, but every time she says it I literally die.) Also, the way she talks to me. She sorta slows down her speech and it makes me feel like she saying I'm stupid. I hate! it when someone questions my intelligence. She also knows that I don't really like touching people so every time she goes to hug me and I flinch away she gets annoyed and says, "Why don't you ever let me hug you, it's like you don't even love me." And that makes me so angry. First, I've told her multiple times that I don't like it when people touch me. And second, whenever she insinuates that I don't love her (or even anyone) I literally want to scream. I could really use some advice. She is really getting on my nerves and I don't want that kind of relationship with my mom. I really love her and being angry with her all the time makes me sad. Thank you in advance. |

Question: Is there any hope with my crush? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 06:44 PM PST So I have a crush on a 19 year old and I'm 17 and I met him at my church youth group and basically a little more then a year ago I started texting him bc i found his number online and would harass him and basically beg to be friends and for a while he didn't even know who i was until i said during my harassment i regret all this but i was obsessed and i still look back on it and hate myself and every time he'd block i'd make a new number with an app and i harassed him on other social media too and pretended to be other people and in fall 2018 at a thanksgiving party i got in trouble with the youth group leaders after he told them so i finally stopped and here i am a year later and i still like him and i regret all the crap i did before because i was an obsessed stalker and i saw him today and still see him sometimes at youth group events and i just want to know if there's any way i could fix things and try again? I never really got to apologize and i want to go up to him but i'm way to anxious |
Question: Why is my old best friend like this? I’m hurting so badly and need advice? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 06:38 PM PST So I had a best friend from my childhood who I had been friends with for 7 years and in freshman year of high school we had a fight and stopped talking and recently on October 14 I reached out to her over text and found out she was homeschooled bc of her anxiety depression and IBS and we were talking and it went really well then she just disappeared in the middle of a conversation and 8 days later i texted asking if she was on and she said she was busy and she's sorry and she texted me like 5 times that night so i really thought she scared and we continued our conversation then she just disappeared again in the middle of a conversation and i texted again a week later asking how she was and she never replied and i tried adding her on snap twice and she never added me back then today i reached out again over text asking if she was ok and i wanted to check in and she said she's fine and said she hopes i'm doing well too and i told her if she ever wants to talk i'm here and she said ok no problem and i'm really hurt because we used to be so close but it really seems she doesn't care about me anymore |

Question: Does anyone else have know-it-all meddling in-laws? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 04:04 PM PST Hello everyone, Posting here to vent. I have a husband who has a brother. He is married to a woman (sil) who is a brat. My brother in-law (bil) is a very arrogant man who puts his 2 cents out there when no one even asks for his opinion. I am expecting my 1st child in March. My sil had her 1st child last yr. I am currently 6m pregnant and all I've heard throughout my pregnancy from my sil and my mother in law is "drive down to Baltimore (which is 3 hrs away) where my (bil) and (sil) live and stay over so I can learn how to take care of a baby and feel more comfortable because that's what her and her husband did when they were pregnant". I have a very busy schedule. She also told me I can borrow baby stuff from her to help me out. I don't need to borrow stuff just to return it. So I told my sil that her advice is unsolicited and if I have any questions I will ask her. I also told her that her and her husband have a tendency to give advice when it's not warranted. She replied "she is just trying to show me love since she is excite about my baby and me being pregnant and if I want to FaceTime her and her daughter to let her know". I don't have a relationship with my sil at all in the 6 yrs I've been married to my husband besides the cordial family get together. I mean I've never had a tight bond with her. She never apologized to me for giving me unsolicited advice. Her husband has really offended my husband in the past in front of the whole family. Am I overacting? |
Question: Since I am better and more mature than my parents should I parent them? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 04:03 PM PST In almost every way I am better than my parents. My mother is a very bitter person who likes to do character assassination against people for no reason other than order of birth. My father is a pathological liar with great arrogance. Somehow despite their dysfunction they've lasted together and they are dysfunctional ways. My mother did separate for my father for a time because of his chronic lying but they ended up back together. |
Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:58 PM PST We have not spoken since the fight so I have no idea how she will act after all this time. Most the family is distant from her is they all back to me. The same time it's my sister so I don't wanna be hateful towards her. |
Question: Mom insists on a curfew. Should I just move out from my parents sooner? ? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:53 PM PST Im a 23F and I recently graduated college and just got a full time job. Originally I wanted to pay some rent at home and save up and be somewhat financially stable before moving out. However my mom insists of a curfew of midnight. I've always been responsible when going out and have never given my mom a reason not to trust that I'll make smart decisions, I just enjoy hanging out with my friends because I feel like I can be myself around them Recently I went to my friends house to watch a movie, I ended up getting home around 12:45, and she locked me out for an hour and proceeded to yell at me saying I'd get fired from my job and that she should've kept me out. It was around 30 degrees and we don't live in the safest neighborhood. When I try to tell her how I feel she cuts me off and says she makes the rules, I understand she pays the bills but I feel like I'm not respected. Our relationship has been improving but I've always been sensitive to her yelling at me and now have a hard time talking to her. Would it be better to move out sooner or try to talk it out with my mom because I do want to be smart about moving out. |
Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:48 PM PST I feel it is none of my business but others in the family feel she shall be condemned for it. Weird part is it's not because of religious reasons at all. |
Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:47 PM PST My parents get mad at me for strange things like that because they feel they should defined me even as an independent adult long out on my own. Yesterday my mother revealed that she was uncomfortable with me seeing her cousin, her parents nephew that was over at their house. She objected because his mother, her aunt, does not have the best social skills and his grandmother was hostile to her parents years ago. The grandmother died 12 years before I was born and the aunt is a dear sweet little elderly woman who no longer imposes on people. The son, my mom's cousin that was there, is virtually a perfect person as I can't conceive how anyone would cut him down. |
