Posted: 06 Jan 2016 04:22 PM PST If there were people you wanted to invite to your wedding(like your son or daughter) but you had family, equally as close to you (in the wedding party), that would be very very uncomfortable being around those members due to something that happened between them. Would you still invite them? I was not going to posts specifics but since it seems that it would be best to put a better perspective on the situation. One of the member of our wedding party was assaulted by an immediate family member and feels uncomfortable around them, we are trying to decide is we should invite him or not . When I say equally as close to me I mean my youngest son. The person in question in my oldest son. |
Question: Cheap wedding venues in st.louis missouri? Posted: 06 Jan 2016 04:19 PM PST Me and my fiance are looking for a place for out wedding reception. We live in st.louis missouri and we are looking around there and surrounding areas. We will have around 300 guest so a place that would hold that capacity but most important, we are on a budget! Question: Where would your recommend that we take our honeymoon? Posted: 06 Jan 2016 03:57 PM PST Before I married my husband, we had been together for just over 20 years. In that time we had only gone on 2 vacations, and several small trips. We got married in Colorado on 12/18/15. Our self-uniting wedding ceremony and reception were at a lovely hotel. But we didn't take our honeymoon then. Because of our work/family/education/financial commitments, we had to delay taking our honeymoon until this summer. We have several places that we would like to go, but we haven't made any decisions yet. My husband would like to go on a guided tour of Europe that would take about 3 weeks. I was thinking that we could go on 10 days a cruise to the Bahamas, but my husband doesn't like boats. Neither of us want to go on a long road trip. We also thought about staying at a 5 star B & B with a very nice spa for 5 days. The B & B is about 2 hours away from where we live. We're open to suggestions. Where would you recommend that we take our honeymoon? Oh I forgot to mention that we live near Phoenix, AZ. So it doesn't really matter where we go. After all of the work we're going to put into our life in the next 6 months, were thinking that we want a honeymoon is relaxing, romantic, and full of adventure. |
Question: Really green/woodsy/garden like wedding venue in San Diego,CA? Posted: 06 Jan 2016 03:15 PM PST I'm getting married in 2018 and looking at venues in Sna Diego area that are green lots of trees and flowers. The goal is to not be able to see any surrounding buildings, cars, roads, or neighbors! Open to pretty much anything except county parks (I like a venue to have catering and what not included) Willing to go 1 hr or less away from San Diego. I've been looking all over google but haven't found something as green as I want- probably just being picky though ;) If anyone has any insight or pictures to share I would love to see them! Thanks in advance! Also any advice for a couple planning a wedding would be great |
Question: Cheap venue for both wedding Ceremony and Reception? Posted: 06 Jan 2016 01:20 PM PST I am looking for a venue for both ceremony and reception so we do not have to travel and decorate more than one place/time. All the ones I have found have been too expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows of any that are (preferably) within $1,000-$1,600? I appreciate your input! |

Question: Is a half hour too far for guests to travel from the reception to the hotel? Posted: 06 Jan 2016 10:37 AM PST My fiance and I are getting married at a place that has no hotels or bed and breakfasts within a half hour of it. I would say about 40 of the 300 guests will be coming from out town and will probably want to stay rather than driving back. Is a half hour too far for people to drive to the hotel? There is a campground around where we are having it but that might be a little far fetched for some. |
Posted: 06 Jan 2016 09:02 AM PST I recently became engaged and we are struggling to find a place to get married (hell, we can't decide on a state!). My finace and I currently live in Minnesota. My family is from Illinois (about a 6 hour drive from us) and his family is from the east coast (about a 15 hour drive from us). Neither family is particularly wealthy, so traveling is hard on everyone, but I think it is only fair to pick a neutral location and have everyone travel (I'm thinking somewhere everyone would have to travel about 8 hours). Each family is contributing about 1/3 of the money for the wedding, and we are picking up the other 1/3. Both extended families (aunts, cousins, etc), with few exceptions, have said they will not travel that far (we both have families were every but us lives close to home). I have no desire to get married in my hometown and neither does he. Its breaking my heart to think that we won't get to have any extended family at our wedding, but with the exception of doing two separate weddings (I think weddings are about joining families so I hate this too), I see no way out. HELP! Any ideas are very much appreciated! |
