See, my junior year I was promoted to deputy commander. He supported me and I trusted him to mentor me, but then I figured I should let him become 1st in command. One year later I found out what he's been doing to me behind my back because he's treated me and my friends with disrespect acting like he's better than all of us and stuff like that. I done everything for him and he just betrays me. Why does this even happen? |

The thing is I really do want to go to places and even abroad somewhere but I've got nobody to go with. I am going to start a new school soon and only have one friend I still keep in touch with but we only used to see eachother at school and talk over the phone but don't actually meet up. She is busy with her own life so going out with her is not an option besides, my parents are over protective so I doubt they would have let me out of the house with her anyway and I'm not allowed out alone. My parents don't take me anywhere either and I stay with my mum who herself is very antisocial and prefers to stay at home but only goes to places for important things such as food shopping and appointments. I'm basically stuck at home and get really agitated because I feel like I'm wasting my life by not doing anything. I have only been on a plane once so far and envy people who go to places all the time. I'm getting sick and tired of being bored at home all day. What do I do? |

Their reasons behind why I'm insecure- #1- I don't act like I understand myself fully I'm 20 years old, they're 20 years old, if you're 20 and you think you have all the answers, and you think understand yourself and know yourself 100%, I think that's your insecurity trying to make you believe you're something you're not instead of admitting you're 20 and are still growing. #2- I love easily. I don't fall in love easily, I have never been "in love", but because I feel I have a more honest opinion of myself, I can love others easier. I love to find the beauty in the darkest people. I know what it feels like to feel less than, if I can see the beauty in the sketchiest people, and accept their ugly, and try to help them see their beuty while helping them learn what it feels like to have someone genuinely care to get to know you, if the ability to care and have love for others is an insecurity than I'm lost. I don't try to date these people, I just want them to know there's always better. These people who tell me I'm insecure are usually swingers, girls and males, or really self conscious and interpret me being the life of the party and wanting to make people laugh is me needing attention because I'm insecure. For awhile I started thinking I'm the one with issues, but now I'm like, wait a minute. |

The meeting ended early and we waited outside for our rides, for about a half hour. It was a good conversation because we both laughed a lot and there were no awkward silences. Whenever she passes me going the other way she waves, usually she sees me first. Few weeks ago she was parked at a bus stop and I was coming towards her and as I checked my right mirror I noticed her waving at me, but in a slow way with a soft look at me. A couple of weeks ago we met at the bus terminal on the way to the toilet and she said "hi how are you" and asked me how my disciplinary meeting went and when would I be getting transferred to her depot. The first two times I took it, I got my period about a week after but the third time, it was three weeks before I got my period (in June) so it was a lot different than first two times I took it. I was at her house the other night and the roaches never come out until night time and I always sleep on her couch in the living room because her bed is really small well as I was laying there roaches were all over the wall behind me so I was scared to fall asleep so I stayed up to about 3am and my friend was already asleep in her room well anyways a roach fell from the roof and landed on my shirt !!! We used to have the same interests and everything but now we don't. I'm seeing him for 3 days soon and it's really awkward because we don't know what to do. :( It sucks that we don't have anything in common anymore. What can I do? |
| Question: How long did it take you to make friends and feel at home in a new town? Posted: 01 Aug 2015 12:38 PM PDT I've been in a new city for four months. Moved here for a job. The people I work with are OK, but not really people I want to hang out with outside the office. I've gone to a couple of meetup events, but I still don't really have people to hang out with on the weekends. Curious how long it has taken those of you who have moved to a new city to really feel established. Thanks. |

(Things I do, not my looks or anything...) . and recently I think one of my other friends has been trying too hard to be cute... She always says "nom" when she eats and changes her voice. She is naturally cute and all of my friends are equally adorable. I love them all. I didnt want this to happen to my friend... What do I do? I don't know how to confront her, I get really nervous when speaking seriously. |
| Question: How to uninvited someone on a trip? Very important!? Posted: 01 Aug 2015 12:36 PM PDT My family is going on a trip to the keys next week and me and my sister got to invite a friend. My friend is coming and she invited a friend who said they most likely couldn't go, so my sister went ahead and invited another one of her friends who she doesn't really want to come as much as the first friend. The second friend she invited also wasn't sure if they could go, but soon, both friends accepted the invite and she is only aloud to bring one of them because there isn't enough space in the house we got. She knows the right thing would be to let the second friend come she accepted the invite faster, and the first friend is aware of the situation so it would be easier to uninvited the first friend, but she knows she would have more fun with the first friend and she's kind of bored with the second friend anyways. How does she uninvite the second friend without hurting her feelings or telling her the trip got cancelled or she's not aloud to invite friends or something, because that won't be believable since we will be posting lots of Instagram pictures and snapchats and stuff. Please help! Thank you. |

Posted: 01 Aug 2015 12:33 PM PDT Last night my guy friend and I were cuddling in his bed watching a T.V. movie and he was stroking my back and down my arm. My head was on his chest, with my arm over his stomach. We were laying there, then he started kissing my forehead. He stopped doing it and when he wasn't looking, I started kissing his jawbone with little pecks. He stroked down my arm multiple times and then down my back. After the movie was done, we fell asleep in the bed. |

| Question: Help? My friends mom thinks I'm too old? Posted: 01 Aug 2015 12:18 PM PDT So my sister had a friend over, she's 11 and I'm turning 16. And I hung out with her and my sister a few times and we just totally hit it off. We hung out most of the day yesterday and we were gonna hang out today. I have depression and anxiety, so I don't really have friend in my neighborhood, and I dropped out of school. I also rarely find myself able to loosen up and have fun the way I do with her. I was pretty happy that I found a friend, but her mom says she can't hangout with me unless my sister is there, and my sister won't hang out because she doesn't want us to be friends (she's jealous). Her mom said there was a no reason for a 16 year old to hang out with an 11 year old... She's never met me before. I would be glad to but I don't know if it would make a difference? Any advice? |
| Question: Is it wrong to invite people like this? Posted: 01 Aug 2015 12:16 PM PDT Im 18 and most people when they invite others its usually for parties and big group hang outs which im not particularly drawn to. I have some friends but i usually only invite those closest to me to my home. Usually i only invite 1 person to hang out for the day(we go play basketball, the mall, etc). I didn't really see a problem with that because i have been doing this ever since the 5th grade. But a few days ago when i realized that itws not common in society i started to think i was just strange and that im making people uncomfortable(despite the fun ive had with my friends doing this and how comfortable they seemed). I also have mostly male friends and like 1 or 2 female friends which i dont invite because for some reason i tend to get nervous if i am not with someone else. I can talk to females only if there is something to talk about, small talk to me is worthless unless followed up. I'm starting to think there is something really wrong with me socially but something tells me its just my personality because i am for sure, an introvert. i guess i misstyped the question lol. I meant to type "is it wrong to invite people in this manner?" |
| Question: Can I join this group? Posted: 01 Aug 2015 12:06 PM PDT I'm starting school in a couple of weeks and I want to join a group (of friends.) I'm going to be a sophomore in high school and hoping this year will be better than last year... Freshman year was the worst school year ever. My anxiety went insane and I didn't make a whole lot of friends. This group I want to join seems to have known each other for a while, or at least some of them have known each other from middle school. But some of their friends I know they didn't know till last year. I'm trying to ignore my anxiety this year so I can make more friends and I want to join this group. What do you think my chances of joining them are, and, if it's possible, how do I join them? |

I don't want to get much into detail, but when we hang out she usually teases me and such. And recently we got into an argument because she did something that I could've gotten in huge trouble for and she knew that, so I was really angry with her. I hung out with another one of my best friends yesterday, and she posted a picture on fb and it was talking about how she will always be that friend that gets left out and stuff. I did kind of annoy me because she bought that on herself. I have a legitimate reason on why i haven't spoke to her and not wanting to hang out with her because what she did could've gotten me in big trouble and the fact that she knew that hurt but she didn't care and only thought about herself. So it's annoying how she wants to act like a victim in every situation, but she honestly needs to grow from it and learn and take responsibility for her actions. She always wants to hang out with me, and when we do, she just makes me regret it. She has no respect at all. One time I hung out with her, she asked to go in this animal store, but i didnt want to. So she took my purse with money in it and went inside it, so i had to go in to get it. Then when we left she said, "how come you didnt wanna go in since you are an animal," but yeah anyways i dont know if i want to even be friends with her anymore. Its not like im gonna see her again..soo..what should i do? Thank you. |

| Question: My friend is mean to me a lot? Posted: 01 Aug 2015 11:57 AM PDT I have a friend thats rude to me a lot. He has a lot of anger issues and is very easily frustrated so it feels like I always have to watch what I say around him or else he might start being mean. Hes also had a history with depression and hes really insecure. He has attempted suicide once in the past and a few weeks ago he was talking about suicide again and me and his other friend got involved and helped notify his parents (hes 15). This kid is in complete denial, doesn't want to admit hes depressed and says "I don't need any help I know how to handle things myself." I'm always very nice to him, try to cheer him up all the time, tell him I appreciate him, I give him lots of advice (which he doesn't ever follow). Whats been bothering me the most lately is that I've always been super sweet to him and he can be sweet too, but it seems like hes been rude to me a lot lately. He'll randomly start insulting me (when I've done nothing to anger him) and he'll say REALLY hurtful things for no reason. And I feel like its not my fault and he doesn't mean it hes just angry and depressed, but still. I've always tried to help him and hes mean to me. I don't know what to do. |
