So ill kind of give a little back story behind my whole family situation. I'm 14 and my grandpa is treated like a god among my family. We were going to the lake for 2 weeks and i was with my cousin and brother walking to the beach when my cousins parents, friend walked past and asked "are you guys going swimming" and i said "nah were going skydiving" knowing that they were close to my family, and later that day i got told to apologize for saying that to him which i felt was stupid so i didnt do that, but then later i was with my family around a fire and my mother left to go get a drink from our campsite and my grandpa brought up the whole situation to me and started yelling at me. Keep in mind, that i didnt say a word throughout this whole ordeal. And after a strong 5-10 minutes of him screaming at me i got up and left. I sat my in my camper for around 10 minutes before he came into my camper and started yelling at me again. At one point during the whole situation he told me i could answer and all i said was ok and he got really angry for some reason, but i was really done with being screamed at so i said "I'm going to talk to my mom" and i stood up and he pushed my down into the bench of the camper and i stood up again and walked a couple steps forward and he pushed me across the table. I got up and said "dont touch me again" and tried to leave once again, and he pushed my against the wall and lifted me up against the wall by my throat, and i couldnt breathe. He set me down and after me yelling for help from my family he pushed me into the bunk beds of the camper and then threw me back into the table saying "I'm not afraid to beat you." after that i pushed past him and left and then a few days later my grandma told me "you know the both of us dont respect you and dont expect anything from us ever again." After that i told my mom what she had said and she tried to talk to her mom about it and it ended in everyone fighting and then we just left. and after we left to go home we figured out that my grandpa is now lying to everyone saying that all he did was push me down into the bench by my "shoulder" and that i was lying, when my mom walked into the camper when it was all happening and seen the whole thing. so now hes lying to everyone and now my family which is me, my mom, my stepdad, my stepbrother, my stepsister, and two half brothers are now against the rest of my family because hes lying to them all and i really dont know what to do

I might just be overreacting but my parents told me that I was a mistake, but a 'Good one'. They were teen parents when I was born. I have a younger brother and they planned him, but I'm a mistake. I feel like they like me less, and I feel like I ruined their lives. Am I overreacting?

Stereotypical crazy mother in law. We just got furniture for a guest room and she seem to think it is an excuse for her to come and stay whenever she feels like it (she'll have been down to visit 3x in 6 weeks, staying in a hotel each time since we weren't sure when we were getting furniture). We can't stop her from coming down and staying in a hotel but I draw the line at having her stay with anything near that frequency. She has also been talking about moving around here permanently which would make creating our own family unit difficult since she would presumably try to come over all the time. She's a nice woman but I feel kind of smothered by her trying to be involved in everything that we do. In addition to the 3 visits recently, she was down for our wedding (understandable) at the beginning of June and then we stayed with them for a night on either side of the honeymoon since we were flying out from the airport near them. My brother is the most annoying person ever. I have no good things to say about him. I wish to never see him again when I move out. we was walking my dogs and he started arguing with me cuz I wore my new clothes/shoes when it's muddy and stuff cuz rain. I called him a swearword. Well 3 swearwords and said shut your face to him. My dad has always been a really grumpy person. When he gets home from work all he does is complain and yell at us. When he comes home my brothers always try our best to make him comfortable and we cook his favorite foods. There is absolutely no reason he should be angry at us. For some reason, he always takes my little brothers side even if he's wrong. My other brother, my mother and I try to communicate with him in different ways to maybe make him happy. We've wrote him letters but he never reads them, and we even give him a smile but then he gets mad for some reason. He's never like this with my youngest brother though. He yells at us for absolutely no reason also. I'm wondering if there is something going on at his work, but then wonder why he would take it out on us? Ok, first off, I'm not "complaining" exactly so pls be helpful bc I'm serious. I nanny for an extremely rich family (parents always work to earn money and never home) They live in a 1.5 million dollar home. There are two kids, both girls, ages 13 and 15. Due to their financial situation, they pretty much get everything they ask for and is never grateful/ shows appreciation for it. They each have a large bedroom, huge walk in closet, and a luxury bathroom. Their closet is literally overflowing with designer items that I can't even afford. As a nanny, I know that my job is to take care of the kids, etc but I want the kids to understand that they will have their own life someday. Both girls refuse to do any chores, housework, or even clean up after themselves. From the minute they finish their meal, they just walk away without even carrying the dishes to the sink. When their parents come home, they're only spoiled even more! The most they do is throw their clothes in the dirty clothes basket. I wake up at 5am to prepare their gourmet breakfast (otherwise they won't eat it), do the dishes, vacuum the house, sweep the floors ( that takes forever since their house is HUGE), make lunch, do the dishes, read the mail/ pay bills, drive the kids where they want to go, prepare dinner around 6pm, eat dinner, do the dishes, make sure kids are fine, then I finally get some time to myself. I buy groceries and everything etc, but their parents give me the money I tried speaking with the girls about it... Almost got me fired They go to the mall pretty much every week and spend like $1000 worth of stuff each. Their parents believe that the girls need to be pampered and given anything they want plus more. They are super stubborn when it comes to their parenting so I don't really want to bring it up again.

Whenever they see me, they go up to me and jab me in the stomach and keep telling me how my fiancé is going to leave me if he found out I'm pregnant which he already is aware of and has taken me to my prenatal appointments. They are still convinced however, that he is going to leave me. My parents and I have NEVER had a good relationship since I was in middle school. They have ALWAYS called me stupid and incapable of getting good grades. I'm in college right now and every single grade that's on my transcript is an A. Since they have found out that I am pregnant, they have done nothing but poke me, listen in on my phone calls, look at my texts, bad mouth me and lower my self esteem, etc. I'm having a hard time because NONE of this was SUPPOSED to happen! I had goals set for me and even though I used protection, it still failed. I didn't want to get an abortion because I'm against it and I feel that if I has gotten another one, then god woukd have been angry with me. How do I handle this?

Me and my wife have been together 3 years our first year I moved in with her to her mom's house since I was on a cancer treatment and couldn't work. So things were ok. We decided to move on our own and it's just impossible we just don't make enough money to live on our own. I want to move to Wisconsin temporarily so I can go back to school and finish. I have a lot of family that can help with the kids so I'd have free childcare be teen jobs since we make minimum wage here in Florida. The problem is she refuses to leave because she doesn't want to be away from her mom she's 32 years old and it's the first time she's lived outside her mothers house. I keep telling her to just give me 2 or 3 years we'll be back prepared with better jobs and good careers but she is not willing to even live in a different town she wants to live within minutes of her mom. I feel useless since we don't make enough her mom and her dad have constantly had to lend us money. Every time I have to hear her dad say how useless and how I can't keep living like this in my own house but I have to keep quiet because every time she invites them in to our problems so they can basically say whatever they want. I've talked to her about it and last time she basically said that if it came down between our family and her mom she'd stay with her mom. To me it's sad because she is so selfish that she doesn't even think about our 3 kids wellbeing we can't buy clothes, or toys or any of their favorite snacks.

I moved to Ohio to try to start a new life with the help of my mother. Of course she hasn't quite the ccocain and threw me out and stole almost everything I had and my money. So here I am Ohio with nothing but a rutsack and a few things. I spent my childhood locked in my room mostly or sitting in a corner and have been trying to build a life since I moved. Okay so a couple years ago probably like 4 or 5 my brother locked me in his room and he touched me down there didn't like finger or anything just like a touch and i told my friend and she told her mom and her mom called and reported it. Lately I have been getting into a ton of disagreements with my parents over my schoolwork and my responsibilities and things like that. I am the oldest of four, so they are especially hard on me, since I am supposed to be a role model for my siblings. But they can be so hard on me that I sometimes feel like I'm suffocating. I tend to be a procrastinator (which I've been trying to work on) and it seems like every time I do something wrong they give me a lecture about my work ethic and college and stuff. It's gotten to they point where they'll say things like "You're clearly just not smart enough to understand." I have been living in my own apartment for over a year now and I enjoy my own space and allowing friends and others to stay over. There are some things that are more stressful but overall I couldn't be happier with my situation. In the past year my mother and father have been in multiple arguments and one lead to him going to jail for one more year. So it's just me and my mom. My mom has a bad history of alcohol . So me and her moved back to our old neighborhood .The biggest disadvantage to this is that this is my mom's old neighborhood and she knows everyone here.Since we moved back, she will drive off with one of the trucks (the other makes a squealing noise) and won't show up for days and so we decided to move again but still in the same neighborhood,but this time the lease would be in my name because wiring at the previous house cause her light bill to skyrocket.So everything is in my name at the current house but I do not have the income to pay the expenses, we both agreed she'd handle the rent but she hasn't kept up to her end of the bargain,because she's slipped back in her drug addiction.Now she's cheating on my father while he's still in jail and expects me to be ok with it and I'm not.I'll continue the rest. ,she's threaten to have her bf's kids do something to me..I've took out the time to realize that the major portion of negativity comes from her and that I need to get away ,but I find it hard because I have a solid $329 worth of debt being charged monthly (that's a story for another day) and I do not have anyone I can go to.I just want to be away from my mother because the times when she isn't at house,I'll be at peace and relaxed,so that how I know I'll be alright in the end but I don't know where to start to get a leg up. Hello everybody, A little background. My daughter is 20 and I havent been able to contact her for four years. She has completely cut me off her life. Her father and I divorced when she was 13 and he was granted full custody. I admit I was not the mother she deserved. I had a troubled past and brought it to motherhood. I am ashamed to say I had an affair and put my boyfriend above all. I neglected her emotional needs and as a result, she and I never saw eye to eye. We had screaming matches often and she ran away twice due to our arguments. The biggest fight we had was a week before her high school graduation which I did not attend and will forever regret not doing so. Hello I am 16 years old and when I was 4 years old my biological father (Ray) ran off with his girlfriend leaving me and my mother behind. Fast forward 9 years later I am staying with my biological dads family whom I haven't seen in 14 years and I was looking at a family portrait and I said who are these people next to Ray". When I got out of high school, I had a hard time finding a job. I finally found a job with good pay and a great boss. One day in his office I saw his high school graduation picture on his wall. I told him that my mom went to the same high school. He asked me her name in school. When I told him, he said "I knew your mom in high school. I can see were you get your good looks. I've had my step-dad now for over 6 years and we've never got along. He gets along with my other siblings but not me. I am a high school guy who's aunt (my mothers sister) is staying at our house while her house is being remodeled. She is only 7 years older than I am. To say she is beautiful is an understatement. Every so often me and my older brother spend time with our Aunt and her daughters and for the most part it's great. She's often really nice, loves shopping and is really girly but often she is doing everything to ensure my brother is happy. Me and the girls usually go out and do our own thing while she is being all nice to my brother. She's given him a job and even took him on a business trip to a different country for a few days. She always showers me and her daughters with gifts but much of her attention goes towards him. I never receive too much cuddles but she's always a lot closer to my brother and it annoys me. Just found out that my 16 year old daughter is smoking and having sex. I thought i instilled good morals and that she understood that we don't approve of an of that. Guys my parents are total deaf and dumb but by the last 1 year they both are suffering the condition of feeling some noises even if this is not happening eg they sometimes ask me that are you fighting with your brother even if i am not fighting they are used to hear that kinda noises.
