Question: Want to have an extremely small wedding? Posted: 08 Jan 2020 11:40 AM PST As in just three of our closest friends, parents, and biological siblings. No step siblings, no step family (aside from parents), no grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. The reason is simple. We will save a lot of money. Having a small wedding party means we can reserve a table at a nice restaurant for the after ceremony party. Saves hassle, saves money, saves headache from trying to plan things. More than 10 people is just too much to deal with. I want to know how we go about inviting people since it's not really a typical, traditional wedding. How do you formally invite parents? I know how traditional wedding invites look and I feel like they'd be too much for what we're doing. But we don't want to be tacky and send invites by phone or social media either. Any other advice will be welcome too. Thank you!!
Question: Getting Married In A Church? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:07 PM PST Hi, my Fiance and I are getting married on 6/12/21 in a Catholic Church. We want a late afternoon ceremony because my parents want it to flow over into the reception and my fiance and are dead set on having cocktail hour 6-7 then reception 7-12. All the churches seem to have a Saturday mass at 4 or 4:30. Does this mean we would have to get married before these masses or since this is a year and a half notice, would the church be willing to move the normal late afternoon mass up earlier? Sorry if this is a dumb question but i've never been in this situation before...Do churches change mass times up regularly? Like could they have a totally different mass times a year and a half from now?
Question: How embarrassing was this? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 10:53 AM PST I was having a conversation with a guy friend and accidently went "haha I don't know how to date why am I Lyk this I have temporary crushes and they go away the next day" did I come off like a complete asexual??? I realized soon as I sent it but it was too late and he only replied at the part where I diverted the subject? How can I reverse the situation/redeem myself...was it very odd..I like the guy but we're friends at the moment seeing different people and I don't want him to think I'm asexual/psycho P.S i said "something's wrong with me lol I can't date"
Question: My best friend asked me to be part of her wedding. But both families seem to hate me...? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 08:08 AM PST So long ago I use to date my best friend's now fiance . It was a mutual break up between me and the guy (at first it was a heated argument that ended it but we tried again for a little bit but ultimately went over our relationship and felt it was time for it to end) . And we have remained friends. I even set my best friend up with him because I felt they were super compatible. Well they are going to be getting married, and my best friend asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I was thrilled to hear the news. But according to her it seems as though her mother hates me because of my past relationship with the guy. And his family seems to hate me even though it was a mutual decision and both of us were way happier for it. And then the friends I made through that guy apparently hate me now too? Should I or should I not go? I want to celebrate their marriage and I am so happy for them, but even though my best friend wants me to be there, I don't want to risk making her special day like filled with a toxic tension.
Question: Send save the dates.? Posted: 01 Dec 2019 10:47 PM PST My wedding is August 1st 2020. I have read many blogs and articles on when to send save the dates and the average was 8 months in advanced. The only thing is that 8 months in advanced is currently in December lol. Is it dumb to send save the dates out soon considering Christmas is around the corner? Would I be better off waiting?
