Posted: 12 Jan 2020 08:59 PM PST I cheated on my girlfriend a few weeks ago and I realized afterwards how lucky I was to be with my girlfriend. I've been much more attentive to her since this and I think she appreciates it. Of course, she doesn't and never will know about the cheating. But even that is not for selfish reasons as I know I can be a good boyfriend and she'd breakup with me if she found out and she would lose a great boyfriend. I know it seems odd. But I really think cheating helped me respond to her needs better and appreciate her. And, of course, I would never cheat again (other than an occasional slip with a girl from tinder which I only have as a joke). |

I added him last year on a fake FB profile because I wasn't sure of us. I didn't want him in my real life because of my son's photos. Well, now we're supposed to be better than ever but he said I'm to jealous and the next time I showed it, he would be done. He recently added more than 50 single girls to his Facebook but won't add me on my real Profile. He says that I didn't have him on mine before and right now he doesn't want me on his. That seems suspicious to me considering he doesn't have any sort of taken status or anyone knew doesn't know he's taken. It's a "ask as needed" to know thing for him. I know the real juice is in the DMs, not what he makes public. There I am like a loser making comments on his public posts but the last one I made with a heart he deleted. I confronted him and he denied it saying he didn't see a comment I made. Um ok. He hasn't replied to me since on iMessage. In anger, I told him if he doesn't add me on Facebook and stop intentionally hiding me when we're supposed to be 100 percent, he can take off the charm I got him that he wears around his neck as it is meaningless. He says it means the world to him. Yeah sure I'm his everything in private but to the public he's just a chill guy with no strings. Am I right or does he have that right? Either way I think he's going to dump me over this in the morning. I tried my all and he just can't respect me. |

Today, I wanted to address something further to him about if he's feeling like our relationship is lust or not And he replied yeah but he's not so sure. We had our romance before but now, he thinks that we're more friends than a couple. I told him that I don't think I can do it anymore thinking of the fact that he was lusting all this time. But I'm not so sure if he was. I'm so mixed between lust and love because I just now heard that romance isn't love but more of a trust and growth. We trust each other and we do grow but somehow, I think there was a misunderstanding bc we don't know what we feel. I still don't understand what love or lust is... I kinda regret it and I kinda don't, so are there any thoughts? Should I text him back to see if our 'love' was real? |

We got pretty close, I mean professionally. We had so much fun, we get each other without talking, we laugh at the same things, we defended each other behind each others backs. Like she is very loyal to me. I never crossed the line and respected her so much. I was the only one in the class who did not call her by her first name during college out of respect. Right after graduation she asked me to call her by her first name, she asked me to call her phone for advice. She was there for me 110% my first year working. She started to show physical affection like hugging me when she sees me especially when I am sad. She started to feel nervous when we are together around people she started to avoid physical contact in front of others even though she is okay to show affection in public with other people. She asked me out to hang out and I panicked I did not go with her. I was worried that my true feelings will show up and turn her off. Things went upside down in my life and haven't talk to her for more than half a year. I realized that I have feelings for her. But she is much older than me, divorced and has a bf. like no way she would take me seriously. What should I do? I want to keep and reestablish our friendship but I am afraid of my feelings. |

I moved down here for her, helped her buy a house, start school, and start therapy (she had daddy issues we were working through) her previous ex's were pos used her and cheated on her. I offered so much to her I adored this girl I stayed no matter what she threw my way. She had commitment problems because she said "everyone leaves" she tried to sabaotage the relationship and would start fights then go silent. Stone walling me. Anyways I did it all for her out of no where she got cold and would start fights. She left for a ex. Found out she started talking to him while we were together. She came back a week later. I was a fool and took her back. The second time she started seeing a co worker and then dumped me. Since I've went radio silent, blocked her on social media, blocked her number. And even found a new job. This happened a month ago I'm still hurt bad. I know she will try to find a way to talk to me eventually and I'm trying to move on. Do you think it bothered her I completely cut her off where she has no way to get in contact? She talks about moving out and not living together anymore. Today she blew a fuse and told me she's still mad and angry about a text she saw on my phone 8-9 months into dating. Prior to this text, She had blew off a couple of dates and showed up late to a few others and I was questioning our relationship. I explained this to her years ago. While out one night with my friends a girl gave me her # and I texted her but it ended at that. Nothing more. She says she still has resentment today and can't trust me.
