I needed coverage today for a shift to get my car fixed. I told them three days prior, so Wednesday. They said there's no coverage but would be able to help me with coming in a few hours late ( 1pm instead of 11am to close which is 5pm). Unfortunately things didn't go as planned and my car required a bit more work, which took more time. My manager called about 1;10 pm asking where I was. I explained the situation, she became very rude and said about how much longer. I replied about 45 minutes but I can't guarantee that. So around 2:10 I texted her again to let her know it still not finished. She ignored me, called again at 2:50 asking rudely ( if I'm coming in at anytime today ) at this point I was fed up. All this for two hours basically. I just let her know that it's taking longer I'm sorry there's nothing I can do. I asked for the day off days a go for the specific reason. I'm not spending30$ on an Uber that can be used for gas in my truck. Plus I UberEd there and back for those three days to make sure I was there! All I asked for was one day. Especially when just last week, not one, but 2 people had coverage last week for being "sick" no drs note.. I haven't called out once and always make sure I'm there. Basically she told me I'd be written up for being insubordinate and my question is can she do that? With this situation basically? Or should I be written up for something else? I'm not sure if insubordinate is the right term for this? Or if I'm even being insubordinate 

My daughter's father died back in October. He was killed by police in a high speed chase. My daughter and I hadn't seen or spoken to him in over a year. A restraining order was in place. We suffered severe domestic violence when I was under his control. After his death it was revealed that he suffered mental health issues. Schizophrenia among them. She has seen a photo and doesn't seem to recognize him. Or even acknowledge the photo. I know one day she will ask. I don't know how to begin to try and put his story and death into a more gentle way for her. There wasn't much pretty about any of our time with him. Do I hide the bad until she is older? I don't know.

He's 16 and I'm 14, we don't share a room anymore but we still don't really care if we see each other

I am in very good health except for bad legs.  Still cut the grass with push mower.  I would have to give up my dog - he is my only family.  I do wear a GPS life alert wrist band.

Guy said that he could have other options but he is only dating me. I then asked how is the other girl like. He said he meant he's only dating me.

Is it a care-free attitude? Accepting and seeing things for what they are and moving on? Knowing your own value? What have you tried?

It's been over two weeks and the guy has refused to meet with the police for the protection order. The thing is this is not even criminal, civil. He does have an assault charge from 3 years ago that he never got expunged so I'm wondering why he dodging this long if he's staying away as far as I know just to get it over with and not have to dodge the police. Help... what is his issue? I feel like if you've been staying away and could care less... why hide and purposefully not accept the order to be done with it all? I feel like his motives are bad. Plus I got a mysterious "is this so and so" text with names connected to 2 people he knows a week ago. I would at least want to know like wtf is going on? Did the person get hurt worse later after I assaulted her? Running doesn't solve anything and it's sad. Person is depressed and battles alcoholism.

I have no proper consistent family in my life, and am estranged to basically all of them, and I've also lost connection with my parents, we talk but we have nothing to say to each other. I'm also an only child, and have never have a boyfriend. I have no choice but to take advantage of strangers, because I have so little for myself. But I don't like doing that, but otherwise I'll go mad or be bored out of my head. What should I do?

I have this co worker who recently just got kicked out of her lease by the landlord because her boyfriend shot a gun in the air and had a fight with a neighbor.Well the ex-boyfriend is in jail and now she broken up with him.Now she is a single mom and now living in a hotel the past 2-3 weeks.She is trying to find a place but all of the places want over $1000 a month which she can't afford.Her rent was $650 before.Well she asked me if I had any room at my house.Which I don't and her parents does not either.So should I give her some money(maybe like $100) and help her out or you think it's a bad idea?i heard it's not appropriate but my mind is telling me too but I heard giving money to co-worker can change dynamic of relationship that just happen to me recently with another co-worker.What should I do take the chance or?

When she was heavier before she was never in any pain 

First of all, I love this girl with all of my heart. I honestly would love to marry her. Second of all, she has only had sex with 3 other people, but they were all somewhat long term relationships in which they would have sex frequently as my s/o (for lack of a better term) is a horny *****. I know that these don't matter like I understand that but for some reason deep down I can't get over it. I just feel kind of, i guess the words would be "grossed out" over it. It's not a problem with us intimately though. Like I really do love this girl and when im with her it's never a problem but, when im alone I start to think about it. So any tips for me? Maybe some words of understanding? Anything really. Thanks everyone :)

My daughter is 11 and her best friend is 10, she is also our neighbor. Her friend has had 3 different boyfriends in a period of 3 months. This last bf has introduced her to vaping and has been sending her pics of weed and I told her parents about it, they did nothing. I told my daughter she cant hang out with her unsupervised and I told my daughter the dangers of vaping and weed and she understood. Her friend came over and tried telling my daughter to get on this site called omegle or something like that and it allows them to video chat with strangers. I immediately told her friend to leave and called her mom and again nothing was done the little girl still has all her devices. I have a feeling the mom thinks it's my daughter doing all this stuff and not hers. I have my daughters passwords for everything she does not hide anything from me and I took her devices away for not notifying me of what was going on with her friend a few months ago. So it had been months since the Vape thing and now the stranger chat. I told her she is not allowed to hang out with her anymore and she cried herself to sleep. She said this friend is the only one that doesnt judge her opinion, clothing, thoughts, and respects. Any thoughts on this? Also, I love the little girl they have been friends since they were 4 and I try to tell her to do right but I'm not her mom so I cant punish her. I made my daughter write a page explaining the dangers of talking to strangers online.
