Question: How can I convince my parents to move back home close to us? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 02:38 PM PST My parents recently retired and relocated far away to the south. Theres 3 of us adult kids and grandkids. Plus other family who really miss them too. Its just too far and expensive to visit them very much. I eventually relocated with them but hate it down here. My sisters havent even had a chance to visit yet due to money and work. Its awful. I know my parents have every right to retire here but I feel its very selfish, they are neglecting their family. It really hurts and its extremely hard on all who are concerned |

My stepdad is a shithead so yeah and my mom is in a completely different life situation and age now. Their child really doesn't feel like my sister at all to be honest. |

Question: Why is my father such a nasty man ? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 01:25 PM PST He picks up his dog's poop with a shovel and throws it on the busy road in front of his house and says the cars will pick it up with their tyres. |
Question: Already said yes, but really don’t want to go? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 01:07 PM PST My dad asked me to go to the horse races and I don't want to go, but said yes without thinking about it. He gets upset easily. They'll want to stay for hours and I won't and it's 30 minutes away. I'm panicking right now. I don't know what to do. My stomach hurts and I'm nauseous. Help! |
Question: Is this a good job for a recovering drug addict? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 11:38 AM PST My step-son is 36. He is a bum. He can't hold a job. He's been a drug addict since he was 14-15 years old. He barely made it out of high school. He has done time in FL for fraud. He was able to cop a plea and with restitution, get it down to a misdemeanor. He hustled people up front for money to get their lawns mowed. Pay for 12 weeks up front, get the 13th for free. After about 10 times he got tired of doing it and didn't have the money to repair his mower. He owed about 15 people $80-100 each for work not done. My wife sent a money order for over $1,300 to the court to make his customers whole in their small claims cases, but he still did 364 days. I grabbed the mower, paid it off, he owed $200. It needed a $20 drive belt. It was abandoned in the living room of the apartment he was 2 months behind on rent. His car was repossessed. The landlord settled for $800 in back rent. It cost us a lot of money to get most of his problems fixed. He was arrested again in our town for shoplifting a 25 oz can of Budweiser. They found he had two hydrocodone 7.5 mgs (he stole them from his mother) and about a half gram of pot on him. We had to pay $2.50 for his stolen beer. He was ordered to do 30 days in rehab or 30 days in jail. He chose rehab. He got out a week ago. He can't find a job. He is temporarily living with us because we are in upstate NY, the homeless shelters are full enough. He wants his mower back. He wants to start cutting grass here. I said get a business license and liability insurance. He says he can't. He just needs to make money any way he can. Maybe he screws over people up here like he did in FL with his father? His father is a real piece of work too. |
Posted: 23 Jan 2020 11:28 AM PST His mom has no college degree and also no experience in the workforce as she was a stay at home mom and just recently started working again. This information is only important because my boyfriend and I are making the same amount if not more than she is. (about 1k every two weeks) She has already made us aware that she wants to move into an upgraded mobile home and wants me, my boyfriend, his 18 year old little brother and herself to all live there with her. oh and our 5 dogs. He is afraid that his mom will crash and fail and i've told him she won't. If she lives in a mobile home she will be fine and that's the decision she's making for herself. Also they're putting no responsibility on his little brother who's 18 and in school (just like us) and works 2 jobs. They're treating him like a 5 year old but i feel like it's time to man-up and for him to pay his half of rent too. Especially since he'd be getting his own room. He smokes weed and blows all his money on that so i know his priorities are ****** up. I also don't want to marijuana to be in a house/ that i'm paying for. I'm not uptight but i babysit my little brothers (5 and 9 months) and i'm not going to have them being around that. I've told all these arguments to my boyfriend and he still is too worried about his mom being alone but i'm not going to pay to be stuck in a home with them when i could have my own home. I'm already 20 and want to start my life. How else can i phrase this? Please help. |

Question: Did my mom get raped by my stepdad? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 10:18 AM PST I often chill in the living room just minding my own business on my phone as I did today. Well I started hearing weird noices from my mom's and stepdad's living room. Btw they are both 37. I went to their door and knocked on it but nobody responded so I decided to go in to see if everything is fine. I walk into seeing my stepdad holding his hand on my mom's mouth and her crying while she is trying to say something muffled. He was going full force in missionary. I just closed the door and left to my own room and put my headphones on and here I am writing this right after it happened or maybe is happening. |
Question: My baby's father bought her dishes, microwave.? Should I get rid of him? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 10:07 AM PST My baby father bought his other baby's mom a microwave and dishes for her house. Plus last Thanksgiving he wanted to take her to his mom's house to spend time with their child. And before we met, he said that she was "crazy" and she was jealous of our relationship. Only to find out he cheated on me with her. He WAS buying their kid thing's but NOW he doesn't do anything for neither one because I guess she told him she's with someone else. I'm so angry and the craxy THING is HE'S STILL LIVING WITH ME WHILE I'M PREGNANT WITH HIS CHILD! |
Question: Was my dad’s pubishment justified? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 10:03 AM PST I secretly went into the bathroom while my mom who is 38 and hot as hell was taking a shower and jerked off to her. She noticed and came out and got insanely mad and started swearing at me and ****. Well I just went into my room after apologizing but my dad jut beat my *** with a belt after he came home. I tried to scream for my mom but she just told me that this is my ounishment. |
Question: Can my mother hold my daughters social security card from me? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 09:04 AM PST I'm 17 years old and I had my daughter at 16, my mother basic hates that I kept my daughter, and does everything she can to control what me and my bf do with her. Ex: she won't let me get a job so that way she can know what I'm buying because I have to ask her. My my daughter is 10 months old and I still to this day have never even seen her social security card, she gave it to my grandmother so I could snoop and find it. Her reason is "I don't want you giving it to your (bf's name) so he can take her" or "because your not an adult, and you are mind which makes her mine, and I said no!" So basically she wants to control me. She's gone so far to say once I turn 18 I still don't have a right to her because I will still be in high school and I technically don't count as an adult. (because I have a early birthday) I just want to know if I actually have a right to her card, I don't need it, but shes my daughter! Right? So I couldn't* snoop 🙃 |

Question: Should I help out a damsel in distress from Kenya? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 05:22 AM PST She is the next air to the throne because her brother died. However, evil men are after her, she is in hiding, and she needs to stay alive, she needs money for food. She sent the email to me in hopes to survive. She found my email on a card from a foundation I gave too. a In a weeks time the ceremony begins and she will become Queen, she will then reward me with riches. This is her pic |
Question: My mother in law keeps calling me ? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 04:51 AM PST Weird names like honey bun and sweetie. My wife thinks it's cute but I find it kinda weird. She told me she's always been like that. Is it weird to be calling your son in law these names? |

Posted: 23 Jan 2020 04:23 AM PST So I've been nannying for this family for about 5 months. The only problem is the mother and her attitude. She will text me on the weekend and it will have NOTHING to do with the children or my job. If I don't respond she will give me such a hard time when I come back on Monday. She's always all up in my business and asks very personal questions. I try to just brush it off but it's really starting to make me uncomfortable and I don't know what to do. |
Question: Since I hate my Dad would I be wrong to disown him forever once my Mom is gone? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 03:01 AM PST If she is alive I won't do it cause then I won't be able to see her. |
Question: Why won’t my dad take a shower? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 11:45 PM PST Okay so this has been going on for years and is not a recent thing. My dad is in his early 60's and refuses to take a shower. He showers once every like two weeks. It is absolutely disgusting. He works two jobs in retail and honestly I don't know why the bosses don't say anything to him about it. So I'm 24 now and this has been going on since I was in middle school when he got laid off from his job during the recession. Ever since then he has just not showered and he gets mad at me if I tell him to. He doesn't care that he stinks he always just tells me to get over it. My mom even tells him he needs to shower and he rolls his eyes. Just recently my mom told me that apparently he was like this even back when they were dating in their 20's. Apparently my Grandparents literally told my mom when she was just his girlfriend that they had to get after him about showering. I found this to be insane and I don't understand how he was not embarrassed. I really just don't understand why he is so against showering. He also makes fun of me that I shower every day as if that's a bad thing? (Also other than this I have a fine relationship with my dad) But any ideas why he's like this? |
Posted: 22 Jan 2020 11:02 PM PST Would you do that? Obviously it happens A LOT. What do YOU say? This sounds like me when I was 18, slept over at my 16 year old girlfriends house a lot, they had an extra room in the basement we'd stay in, can't believe they allowed it as yes we knocked the boots regularly, good times, but I'd never ever let my daughters do the same thing........ |
Question: If my Grandma has a daughter what would she be to me? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 10:25 PM PST Just would like to know what would be my relation to my Grandma's daughter be to me? |
Posted: 22 Jan 2020 07:19 PM PST He was a drug addict and an alcoholic. I only saw him on occasion but for others int he family when I get asked how he died should I say something like "oh, he had colon cancer" instead of telling the truth? Are drug overdoses secrets? He was 49 and had two kids but he never saw them. We only saw him at reunions every other summer. |
Posted: 22 Jan 2020 07:07 PM PST How could anyone in this day and age not be watching YouTube to get psychological advice. |
Posted: 22 Jan 2020 05:30 PM PST hey every one i'm writing this because i have some questions & need advice for a situation i'm in. please no one judge! i'm 17 years old and my mom always calls the cops on me when i get mad. me and her don't get along and she likes to push my buttons a lot. even for just yelling she'll send cops to the house. she has put me in hospitals so many times that has scared me for life. anyways, i now ended up in a residential home for "mental behavior help". i don't think i need to be here. i've been here for almost 6 months. i'm pretty sure it's a 6-9 month program. my dad said he's going to take me in but the staff here is not saying any thing to me about me getting discharged. i really want to get outta here and live my teenage life. please does any one have advice on how i can get out of here as quick as possible? i've been behaving and following all the rules. thanks! |
Question: I wish my mom would listen to me for once? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 05:30 PM PST I love my mom but she never listens to me. My mom bought a new house and she and I moved in and my brother is supposed to be moving in, in a few days but I told her I don't want him living here for multiple reasons. He's 22 and stays up all night and plays video games and sleeps all day which means I don't get any sleep and even when I ask him to turn the volume down or even my mom he never does, he takes all the dishes and glasses in his room and when my mom asks where they are I tell her my brother has it but she always blames me when my room is clean I don't even eat in my room, He smells bad and never brushes his teeth and showers once a week and when my mom gets mad he showers every other day for a few days then goes back to his habit, he's growing out his hair (it's curly) and he brushes it when it's dry and it's a frizzball. He has the other house to live in but doesn't want to. He quit college and whenever he makes me mad it doesn't matter but when I make him upset my mom always gets upset at me. When I try to ask if I can stay at a friends house for a day she always tells me to ask her later and keeps putting it off she does this in every situation I try to talk to her about. She says she's just tired from work but she only works 3 days a week on the weekends and when my brother wants to talk she always talks to him. I keep up with my schoolwork, my rooms always clean, I help her whenever she needs help, I keep up with my hygiene. I'm 14 I don't understand. He got fired from his last job and when my mother tries to make him apply for applications for a job he never does. He isn't going to school because he messed that up. He tried to go to community college for welding but he dropped that. He's not interested in getting a job or going to school. |
Posted: 22 Jan 2020 05:06 PM PST She constantly yells at me when my dad is not home. I don't know what to do. I do all the chores, don't do drugs, and I am even second in my class. I try so hard for her but it seems like I can never do anything right. I am so scared to do something wrong because if I make one wrong move she yells at me. I know this sounds petty but I am at a stand still. I can't explain everything she does because it's super hard to explain. But we have horses and anytime I sneeze wrong she either threatens to sell my horse or to kick me out She used to do things like this with my brothers and she always calls me a ***** or something like that. And tonight while doing chores I went to unplug the electric fence and the hay tipped over and you would have thought that I ran over her with a truck. Excuse my rant I just need to vent. I don't feel comfortable talking with my parents about anything because they will judge me and tell me my feelings are stupid. |
