We both wanted a relationship but have different plans when we graduate. So we decided to just be friends, but we talk all day everyday and it's feeling like a relationship. I'm so close with him I don't want to lose him as a friend but I also don't want to get my feelings involved because when we graduate we'll be moving away. What do I do??? |

Been out of the game for a year I (25M) Got dumped by my ex gf (21F) few months ago. We lasted a year. She dated a guy few days after. So my friend and I are going to get an Airbnb and he's bringing instagram model type chicks to stay with us for the weekend. He is trying to hook me up with one of them. (They are on vacation and want to hangout) I've hooked up with girls but rejected them in the end because I still wasn't over my ex. However this time I won't let that be the case. I've been out of the dating scene for awhile and am not sure how to approach this. A little nervous. What are some tips to ensure I have a fun night with the girls? I am bad at talking to girls. The ones i hooked up with literally threw themselves at me but the girl my friend is hooking me up with is a Instagram model type girl. So that's intimidating.. I was out of town for work and my fiancé and I planned a short vacation afterward where he would fly out to where I was and stay an extra week. We were looking forward to this. A couple weeks before, he told me he was going to the Virgin Islands the week before our planned vacation to meet friends who were staying there and had an extra room. It worked out he could take the time off and save money on the trip. He knew I'd be unable to go because of work. So I felt hurt that he was ok going on a spur of the moment vacation to paradise without me.. like I was an after thought. Also, it made me feel crappy about our vacation the next week because it was nowhere near as nice and he was just coming from a much more amazing place. I told him how upset this made me before but he still went. I would hav loved to go with more advanced notice. I told him this hurt my feelings many times since but don't feel I ever got a sincere apology. More like- why am I still upset.. why can't I understand his side of it.. and he'll never do it again.. not because it hurt me but because I made such a big deal about it. My issue-I still can't let it go and am bitter. I feel a sincere apology.. Like I'm sorry I hurt you, Would allow me to let go. Because I've never gotten that, I'm worried I'm bitter and get triggered whenever we talk about future vacations or see/hear anything about the Virgin Islands. How do I just let go? Am I making way to big a deal out of it? |

I always think this is a "do-or-die," situation, where if it doesn't work I won't see this opportunity again, because of the reasons previously stated. This happens even when I think about even approaching a girl. I would think that a girl would look at me like I am weirdo, because I don't know what to say. The most embarrassing thing about this is that I have been on several dates in my life, and the fact that I am 34 years old, and it's still occurring. I have a date tomorrow and my stomach is in knots. I just don't know what to do, or how to use these feelings for my benefit, because I feel like they will never go away. So, about 2 years ago I got out of a really toxic relationship that destroyed my whole self esteem and mental. I got cheated on repeatedly, and just wasn't respected. 10 months ago I got together with my current boyfriend. At first it was so perfect, I felt like this was what I finally deserved. I finally had a MAN who truly respected me. He treated me so well and complimented me in a way I never have been before. Well as the relationship progressed we got closer and I learned more about the person he was. He has EXTREME anger issues, it doesn't take much to tick him off. He's so nice and when he's mad it's just someone I don't recognize.. he honesty scares me. When he's angry I always ask to leave his house so he doesn't do anything he'll regret later on. He refuses to let me leave. He will push me, choke me, drag me. Let me just say I'm a very small petite girl so I never fight back because it would be pointless. Basically to sum it up when he's angry at me I'm his ragdoll... whenever he finally calms down he seems so upset and ashamed of how he acted, he apologizes repeatedly but when he gets mad again its just the same thing.. just recently we had a bad fight and I got tired of being pushed around so I slapped him. He then slapped me back and I now have a semi-black eye and marks. I don't think this is right but when he's not angry he treats me so good. help |

Like he tells me stuff that can be taken seriously but also easily written off as jokes at the same time. I think it's purposeful. He tells me **** like "you are the only funny woman I know" and "you're the only girl at *insert highschool here* that isn't a disloyal slut". I don't know how to feel about this. I've hung out at his house and just around town with him a few times, but my brother has always been with us or we've been in a big group. When we met she had just been dumped and was going through it, well i was there for her. she told me she wasnt ready for a relationship, I had just got out of something a few months before and was ready to date.. but it was kind of forced with no communication (mainly because she didnt really know how, she had just moved out of her parents and only knew how to bicker with them) and me being stupid went along with it, it just kinda happened and before you knew it we were together, boundaries weren't set and the foundation of the relationship was ultimately put in compromise (seeing each other every day, hanging out all the time etc). we fought for the next 2 1/2 years going to court 4 times for restraining orders, ultimately taking the nuts out of me, as I wasn't experienced enough to say enough is enough. But what I didn't realize was that I was being verbally/emotionally abused which caused me to lash out at her, but then she became the victim, I was only reacting to her reactions. In September we broke up, she jumped to a new guy, a guy she had known from 5 years ago. leaving me with a Text of all things. She started talking to him one week before she dumped me. |

I was telling him about how it looked like they wanted to hook up with each other, they always sat on the same side of the table when we went to lunch and sometimes they would wrestle. He said he thought she did too but he said it looked like she wanted to get with me. I was shocked, I don't see why he would think that, she did do some things that made it seem that way to me but not in front of him, or at least that I saw. Sometimes we would be doing homework on a couch in the school library and she would put her head on my shoulder and ask what I was doing. Then she would compliment me too, one day she just looked me up and down and said "wow you're tall" I'm maybe an inch or two taller than her. She would say I smell nice if I threw on some cologne, and one time her and another girl from the group were talking about another guy and how he looked bad with facial hair, and then they talked about how I looked good with and without it. When I got to work I would change into my shoes. These shoes stand out becuase they are high quality shoes. They are black and white almost like a zebra. She has seen me wear the shoes and knows they are mine. I always keep them in the back of the closet. So one day when I came into work. I noticed she had hung her jacket right over top of my shoes. There were atleast 5 other empty hangers. She never hangs her jacket back there. I feel she was indirectly trying to get my attention. |

We swiped each other on Tinder, and I shot my shot because I was not going to work at the same place anymore. In person the chemistry was great, we would banter a lot and make each other laugh, my buddy said it looked like we were already together. Before we switched to texting, I told her I was deleting my Tinder, and she said she was too. At one point I went back on and switched my anthem (I'm not sure why, I was just bored), and I didn't realize it would send her a notification that I had. I ended up having to double text her at some point, which I did twice before I stopped. She claimed to be super busy (taking 30 credits, traveling Europe) which was understandable. Some part of me says that she kept her Tinder and saw I was active on it, so I scared her off. Is this something a girl would ghost a guy because of? One other thought is that since we'd known each other for so long, a month was enough talking and she wanted me to get more serious. He basically cheated on me 5 days after asking me out bc he still was actively using a dating app. He apologized but since then he kinda soiled the trust I initially somewhat had. He goes to strip clubs still which doesn't help his case since I saw a text saying "I LoVe StRiP CLuBs!!" (he knows I am against/dislike them). Also, he recently deleted all Facebook pics, including ones with me in them, and left only one, which was of himself with his friend (who is a guy). He was bragging to his friends while I was dressing in his room that he got a Costco size box of condoms, even though we only have sex about once a month. However, despite our established plans he keeps asking to come over or for me to go over to him, multiple times even though I have told him no. He is very insistent. It is making me a little hesitant. Should I ghost? |

I have been seeing a girl for roughly two months and have decided it's not going to work out. We are on two different levels of interest and I don't think it's fair to keep things going. She had a rough period in life and ended up moving back with her parents after giving birth to her daughter. She doesn't drive or work which wasn't an issue. What has become an issue is her lack of manors and clingy/controlling personality that has surfaced. She constantly brings up my ex gf (I never do) and goes through my Facebook posts mocking me and telling me I sound stupid, for things that I wrote like 4 years ago. She calls people a f*g, she's racist, plays mind games, and gets pissed when I hang out with friends. If I talk to any girl, she instantly gets upset. The list goes on... She's a bit of a hot head and gets explosive in conversation. I don't want to hurt her feelings but this is just not going to work. So how do I go about ending this? Do I drive to her house and end it in person or should I just call and do it over the phone? What would you do if you were in my position? How would you word it? |

I had a feeling that she was being distant since She's been stressing with school and she said she's not haopy with her life. She texted me saying that she doesn't want to have to keep faking her feelings and she doesn't see me as a bf. She promised that she wasnt going to push me away like last time(She broke up with me 2 times before then and I was the first one to trie to break up with her 2 times before when we first stared) in total we were together for 10 months and the time we got back together actually was better. She's the one who kept pursuing me even tho I didnt want to get back but after her third attempt since her family and school situation was different I stupidly gaved her another chance. A week ago she's been posting me on her stories so i dont understand why she's showing me around to her followers and friends on Snapchat(she doesn't have any real friends she finds them annoying) if she was faking her emotions but she also said she lost feelings but I feel like she might be lying about the losing feelings part but idk. Doesn't make sense to let everyone know that we're having a good time on her stories just to break up with me a week later. We also work together which contributed to me cathing feelings again everytime I see her but now im wondering if she trully loved me again or just faking for the sake of being in a relationship. |

Since then we didn't talk sometimes a hi or wave when walking by. But last weekend we saw each other at a party on Thurs and he said hi we talked and we kissed but I thought he was a playboy so I wasn't interested. The next night I saw him at another party and we talked more and we made out outside the frat. He walked me home and we were drunk so I stayed at his place (nothing happened). The next day I woke up there and we ended up hanging out the whole day just talking about life & family while watching tv and we really got to know each other and I realized he might not be that bad. He told me he wanted me to go out with him and his friends that night (Sat) and I decided to go. So i met all his friends, he put me on his story, his friends kept flirting with me which was weird. I said I wouldn't get with him unless we were in a relationship and he said "I really like you and I can see us hanging out more and eventually dating."He seemed serious. The next day he asked me to come hang in his dorm, I came and stayed for a few hours and then he had a study group so I left. We didn't talk again until Tuesday when I snapped him and said I wanted to hang out Wednesday night. He took hours to respond and said he had a class. It seemed like an excuse. He still hasn't read my response. I see his friends everywhere and I'm confused if he is actually into me or if he is just trying to use me. |

We're both 24 and he has slept with 2 girls so far cuz he believes in sleeping with people he loves and cares about which I found super sweet. 2 were my bf and 4 were just random hookups which I found healing while going through an awful breakup. I'm not proud of it and I feel like he should've told me in a nicer way. I still like him a lot, but he told me that I'm pretty "used up" and we haven't talked since Sunday. |
