Question: I’m pregnant am I overreacting? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:20 PM PST My boyfriend whom owns a house has 4 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms occupies his other children's room for when they visit. The other two rooms are for his stepfather who comes from Mexico every 3 months, and stays for three months because he has a bussiness in the U.S. he pays electricity and WiFi. his cousin has the other room and pays $500 a month. The last bedroom is his. He's mentioned to me where is the baby and I going to stay? Mind you I told him he needs to make room for a baby room so someone's room needs to be made free. |
Question: Is my Sister Selfish or plain rude? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:08 PM PST My sister had a great wedding, but to this day she's still upset that her close aunts, uncle and cousins didn't congratulate her on her wedding. They totally ignored or acknowledged that she got married and even when she posted the pictures weeks ago they didn't comment. She doesn't understand how people so close to her wouldn't be happy for her on her happy day. Whenever they see her they act like nothing happened. We had to even beg the cousins to come to the bachelorette which they declined. My sister has never done anything wrong to them. She no longer wants to contact them because of how they treated her. I think she's being a big baby about it and should get over it. What do you think? These cousins were close like sisters and brothers, not distant at all |

Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:25 PM PST My step daughter wants to move out of our home and move to the United States to live with her mom and step dad she said she is better of with me I don't want her to see her mom anymore it all started when she went to see her I did not approve of this and I tried to keep her away from her mom she did not listen to me so my husband and I sent her to Military school and we especially told her she is not allowed to see her mother and step father anymore but she was still contacting her mother so we took her out and sent her to another one few states away and he Continue: seemed grateful that we did it until she came up to me and said her mom is pregnant I was shocked I checked her moms Facebook message and it was confirmed true I did not want my step daughter to have anything to do with her moms baby so I forced my husband to let us moved to India to stop her from seeing her mom completely. But my husband took pity on her so that she can she her mother when ever I was not around but a few years later we had a fight and she told me that she is going Continue: to move to the United States and she is living with her mom and step dad and she hates me and she also said she will cut ties with me I only did whatever I can do to stop her from ruining her damn life what can I do to get through to her? and this is not a troll btw this is serious She also purchased a plane ticket and will be moving next week l want to stop her from moving in with her mom I'm not gonna let her move in with that little ***** I want my step daughter all |

Question: My daughter doesn't wash and she's obese also ? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:15 PM PST Hi, my daughter is 16 and still lives at home with me my wife my daughter and her 3 brothers. She's not like other girls in the sense of wearing makeup, dressing up and going out to date boys etc. She likes staying indoors a lot and just on internet or PS4 playing games with my sons. She is quite over weight also. My wife has tried to make her aware of it without making it sound cruel or make her self conscious. But her weight is not even funny. She's missing out in a lot of 16 year old activities like going to the carnival with Friends, fitting into girly dresses, or going ice skating or on a bike etc yeah she can do them things but it's not the same with a larger girl gasping for air while doing these things because of her weight. My wife has tired giving her a reality check for showering more and brushing her hair. She just doesn't care and wants to lazy about with the same clothes on for 3days. She can't fit in to many clothes because she either loses a tiny bit of weight if she's stressed or she puts more on for her constant eating. I've told her that she needs to act more lady like and that her brothers are have got better hygiene and respect for themselves. I'm worried my daughter will miss out in her 20s because all of her girl mates will be started to study or traveling, getting boyfriend's or having kids. My daughter just doesn't bother with worrying about anything like this. Is she just different or is this just a person that has let herself go. Help us plz thanks |
Question: I think my mom loves me but does she like me? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:14 PM PST I'm 21 years old, I live at home and pay for everything except rent, I'm in college, and I'm getting married this year. I am also an only child and it's just me and my mom after my parents divorced. I have many examples of my moms behavior towards me but here are the ones that stick out to me the most. We went wedding dress shopping together just me and her, as most girls dream of that day I was expecting to cry and be emotional with my mom and have a great day. I had been looking for a while and new exactly what I wanted but I wanted to try on more for fun. Instead the whole situation seemed sterile, I was having emotions but my mom wasn't. I started to cry and my mom asked me why I was crying. She never once complemented me in the dresses I tried on, just "the dress looks nice" or "is that the one?". I looked around the bridal salon and these mothers and daughters were having the time of their lives but for us it was just like picking out some jeans or something. She never compliments me, I've gained my freshman 15 but I'm not chubby or chunky I've just filled out. I was a twig in high school. She's always criticizing the food I eat. I also got myself a new outfit that I thought was really cute but she only asked if it was stretchy and went "hmm". She's always asking me when I work and my schedule but never listens and asks me a million more times. If we go out to eat or something together she's always on her phone. I think she loves me but does she even like me. |

Posted: 16 Jan 2020 12:53 PM PST It is very important that everything be perfect . But nothing every seems perfect enough unless i redo it.How he gets the kids to sleep wrong.Lets them wear certain things He lets the sleep with action figures and build pillow forts and bought them pizza and popcorn they aren''t allowed They are on diets doesn't color coordinate their outfits Doesn't do any of the household functions right. Doesn't cover the couch so the dog doesn't go on it . Doesn't make enough money. Refuses to follow keto diet with me Is a terrible driver Doesn't discipline them enough that is why they like him and are living with hi, and his lazy brother. Got angry when he found out I put a tracking device at his work in car and on his computer to keep tabs on him. Everything in the fridge and in all the cupboard needs to be lines up at a certain angle. The kids never want to go with me because it takes hours to do what other spend five minutes on because it has to be perfect.I have to go in the house 15 or twenty times and refix everything everyone does because it is never right. The toys were put away in the wrong containers and they have to be put away in the right ones or the world will end |
Question: Should my parents stop loving my sister since she is a cruel person? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 12:42 PM PST Or do parents always have to love their adult children even the bad ones? |
Question: My computer exploded, what the heck happened? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:53 AM PST this is a serious question i'm shocked. I just bought an imac late 2009 27 inch on ebay and i turned it on and started to set it up then suddenly there was a SUPER LOUD POPPING SOUND coming from inside the computer then a TON of smoke came out of the vents and the WHOLE COMPUTER started on fire and i used water to pour it out and the screen flashed and then shut off and now it's completly dead |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:30 AM PST Or things she says makes me feel down or negative? Not motivated? Once she brings me down, or drains me, I just want to go lay in bed. But shes sweet and good to me a lot. |
Question: I hide information from my parents? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:12 AM PST My parents are great people but I hide certain things from them. For example, a while back I found a way to make money on the side and my father went out of his way and he stole my client. I thought that was cruel. He never tries to figure out what to do on his own for money he is always just looking for my ways. So now that I am older I hide money making ways from them. I do love them though. Is this bad? Lol |
Question: Why doesnt my child understand why they are in trouble? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:11 AM PST Everytime i lecture my child or put them in time out or whatever i explain why she is in trouble. She ends up bawling and saying "Why wont you just leave me alone you're being mean." or "I didnt even do anything, i didnt even hit you." along with many other ways that totally ignores the reason i gave her as to why she actually got in trouble.. ex: I tell her not to sneak juice in her room because she might waste it, if she sneaks it again i will send her into time out. i walk in her room and see the juice next to the t.v and question her about it, then send her right to time out...now shes bawling saying "I just wanna drink my juice, you said your gunna pour it out. why cant you just leave me alone and stop being mean." We i clearly stated that she could drink it later but now she had to go in time out for breaking the rules... cant be a comprehension thing, she's 7 and pretty smart. She understands everything else whats with this?? |
Question: What is it called when family members repeat themselves over without realizing? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:08 AM PST My mom, grandpa and uncle (told by my cousins) when they tell us to do something or tell a story they have a habit of repeating the same thing over or saying it in a different way. For example- My mom said, "I can't believe your grandpa didn't take your grandma to the hospital for her fever, but took her doctor's appointment instead. I agree. She says, the appointment could be rescheduled, her fever is more important. agree and say I'm going to rest since I'm still not feeling well. Then she repeats the same thing over the phone. My mom gets mad when my grandpa repeats himself over to her. Is that called anything? Is it a condition? Is it just parents/grandparents wanting their point across? My mom is almost 50. My grandpa is almost 90. My uncle is 53. They have been doing that for over a decade or more Also, if we say you're repeating yourself or you're saying the same thing over and over they get mad |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:29 AM PST Serious question, I don't want to go overboard as my wife is flipping out like he has committed an unheard of offense. Our other kids are daughters. Our son is 17 (Junior in high school). I looked at Playboys at that age but this is on-line porn so it is so much more graphic. I looked at what he was viewing and it is vile but simply Internet porn, nothing illegal. My wife is acting like he needs to be in residential treatment like an addict but I told her that is absurd. Thank you all for the advise. |
Question: I stole from a craigslist meeting, will I get caught? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 09:57 AM PST This is a serious question and I'm 17 and I'm so worried. Basically what happened was I was looking to buy a 27 inch Late 2009 iMac and I was on craigslist and found one being sold close by so I set up a meeting with the women and I came to her house and she let me in and showed me the computer and asked how I was going to pay and I immediately ignored her and ran and grabbed the computer and ran for my car and i heard her screaming and i threw the computer in the backseat and got in and floored it away from her house. i'm home now setting up the computer but i'm worried i could get in trouble I saw her take a picture of my license plate when i was leaving |

Question: How do I get my husband to respect my dad and brother ? ? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 06:55 AM PST husband has no respect for my brother as a man. My brother hasn't done anything to upset my husband but it's just how he carries himself . My brother finally made a push to do something with his life he's 33 but before my mom babied him like crazy washed his clothes cooked for him and he finally moved out. He wants to come visit my kids but when he has in the past he just came and played with my daughters toys and then he left. He sees my brother as a child instead of an adult. For XMAS gifts I've bought my brother toys in the past same with my parents and that's where the lack of respect started. My brother has a son that's 9 but he has no relationship with his son due to issues with the mom. However, my brother draws his son pictures but doesn't push to see his son just pays child support. My husband goes all out for my kids and myself but my brother doesn't push like that. Same with my dad . My dad doesn't make a lot of effort into things and doesn't push like my husband does. My dad and brother run from problems or conflict while my husband doesn't. From what a friend said my husband is an Alpha male while my dad and brothers are Beta. What do I do? Or is it too late? My husband says he wants our kids around people they can learn from and respect but that's not my dad and brother |

Question: Shall I talk with my mother about this? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 04:18 AM PST I'm 20, currently on summer holidays. In my country education is free and I'm studying a career. I also work with my dad cutting grass. The point is that my mother wants me to work full time and I don't know why. I have good grades, I pay my clothes and whatever I want, and I also work with my dad... Is this not enough? I don't need the money so I don't see the point, what shall I do? |

Posted: 16 Jan 2020 04:16 AM PST I asked this yesterday but got no decent answers at all, trying one more time. My mother and her family had a falling out years ago. Her father was an alcoholic and it was over that. Now years later I feel the loss, pain, and rejection of childhood. I feel it at holidays like this past Christmas and when we are left out of weddings. Weddings hurt especially because naturally for budget you only have close extended family, so we are not close in their eyes. We see them some like I did see them this past Christmas which was nice but other times we do not. I feel 2nd rate in their eyes. Weddings we are usually not asked to, only 1 we were. So how do I get over this and how do I get them to see us as close? |
Question: How to stop my mom from kicking me out at 18? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:34 AM PST I'm 17 and turning 18 this year. My mom has always told me that she will kick mr out at 18 but I really don't want to go then. I don't feel ready yet. My mom just tells me that I'm not her "problem" anymore at 18. |

Question: Dad’s girlfriend hates me, they’re breaking up now - is it my fault? ? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:17 AM PST Hey, I'm a 17 year old girl and I live with my dad, his girlfriend/fiancée of three years and her two children (7 year old twins). Unfortunately, my dad's girlfriend has never liked me. She constantly picks at straws and criticises everything I do. Over the past three years I've tried everything I could think of to try and fix things between us, including inviting her for coffee - talking to my dad about it etc but nothing worked. My mom isn't around, she and my dad divorced after an abusive relationship and she moved away with my younger brother and left me with my dad, I haven't had contact with her since. I have shouted back during arguments because I felt the need to defend myself. I am very sensitive to stress, and have just been diagnosed with anxiety and depression. I had a panic attack in college over the situation at home as I have been mainly isolated in my room for about three months, it's extremely tense to be downstairs and even just in the same room as her - it makes me extremely uncomfortable. I told my dad that I'd be moving out to ease the stress in my life and not affect his relationship. My dad was unhappy about this and asked his girlfriend to sort things out, she kept telling my dad that she hated me and had no interest. He ended his relationship because the problem cannot be sorted and I feel like it's my fault. She's now moving out with her kids and my dad is taking it hard as this has happened before with my mom. Is it my fault? |

Question: Should I have done anything differently? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 10:11 PM PST Today, I went with my mom to the ER and I didnt want to leave her alone all day. I decided to tell my job that I couldn't come in today. My assistant manager was really hesistant with me asking me what my shift was and asking me who was there today at work. A few hours passed and my assistant manager texted me again to ask if I could finish my shift because he had to do things. I felt it was so annoying and rude to come back even after I said I needed the day off. I was asking my mom what I should say back. Finally, I texted back that I had too many other things to take care of. I didn't want my mom to feel bad. I was glad I stayed home but my job kept bothering me over and over today and they even do that on my days off. I felt like I couldn't relax fully because of them texting. Do you think my mom understood? Or do you think I should have just thought of an answer myself to text them? |

Question: Why does my dad treats me like I’m 5. I’m 16 ! PLEASE HELP. ? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 09:37 PM PST I am 16 years old. And I'm in 10th grade, homeschooled. I'm to a point where I'm about to get my license, a car & a job. I'm also graduating early which is this year. I had a kid at 15. I've noticed I've matured so much in just a year. I have years of experience on how to watch children. When I be watching my son sometimes my dad comes in saying did you feed him? Which I have enough sense to feed him. Always telling me not to let him put certain things in his mouth which I have common sense. Also if I'm going out with a friend he feel the need to walk me down in bright daylight to my friends car which is unnecessary. Or telling me things I already know like "don't let no one get you". He's always did that even before my son. Or if I'm going to a mall by myself where's a lot of people at he will ask me over & over who im meeting Ill tell him no one. Than he start acting like I can't walk alone at all. Also every morning he would walk me down to the bus even in high school in daylight like I was still 5. Im getting to a point where I can take care of myself but he don't see that. But I just don't feel like I can tell my dad anything because he always saying how I'm not grown, which I know. But I'll be grown & moved out in 2 years. I can talk to my mom about anything but my dad, no. When I got to a certain age at like 9 or 10, my dad would call me all sorts of names and curse me out over the smallest things when he's mad. That's another reason I can't talk to him. Question: Brother's girlfriend is always over? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 08:55 PM PST My brother has been dating this girl for a year, She's constantly over at our house. (our meaning my parents, my brother is 18 and living at home) I wouldn't have an issue with her being over 3 times a week but she sleeps over every weekend and during long breaks she'll stay for over a week. They both also disrespected me and my parents home by being intimate while i was home and wide awake, ever since them. Every time she sleeps over i get angry since i feel as if both her and him are extremely disrespectful with their actions. How do i solve this issue? |
Question: Why is there a thread hanging out of mom? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 08:47 PM PST I went to the sauna with my parents yesterday and there was a thread hanging out of her again. I have been wondering what it is but I really don't know. |
Posted: 15 Jan 2020 08:22 PM PST It would be awkward to see them but they are not at fault for the awful things their mother has done. |
Question: My brother stole my dad from me? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 07:29 PM PST My family has been dysfunctional for the longest time. But this is really messing me up. My 11 year old, spoiled brat of a brother, has somehow managed to get my dad to like him. This kid goes into a full blown meltdown if asked to pick something up off the floor. My dad used to not be able to stand him and we had a semi-good relationship. We used to talk and he would genuinely confess his struggles. A few years ago,my mom forced them to do this Christian boy scout thing, and now they enjoy spending time with each other, as long as there's guns or rockets involved.Which this 11 year old has ADHD, and is somehow allowed to have a rifle without his meds! I used to be really close with my dad, but now he only sees me as the mental issue kid with messed up arms. I have SPD, so I dress differently than normal people. Also, my skin doesn't heal well, so even mosquito bites give me scars. He pushes me away now and will flat out avoid me. We used to love watching history things together and now I'm completely left out. He won't even let me talk to him. The only thing I could do that he might value is if I went to the shooting range, but as a sensory sensitive person, I know it wouldn't go well. I've always hated my brother, but this has reached a huge peak with me. He steals everything from me, physical and emotional. The one person in my family I liked besides the dog was the last straw, but there's nothing I can do at this point! What can I do to have that relationship back? He was never solely focused on me, but we were the only people who understood our situation. He used to completely loathe the presence of my brother until they began shooting. Now he's sympathizing with my brother, and getting paid back with bratty behavior. This kid is so spoiled he won't even get up and get a glass of water for himself. I know I sound like a stupid child, but I'd hardly say we were treated the same. I got yelled at, berated, and punished, while he got to do whatever he wanted and was still deemed as this perfect child. I spent a good portion of childhood in isolation, then got yelled at by the people who isolated me. He got love, attention, friends, whereas I got bullied, ignored, and criticized for existing. We've never been on equal terms with our parents. He's always been the one who's supported and indulged. The most support I got out of my parents was them taking me to a doctor's appointment. In our family there is no love. It's only mutual appreciation, and that rarely occurs. I don't want love. |
Question: How would you deal with your Dad.? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 06:03 PM PST I moved overseas 30 years ago after my parents divorced. I lost touch with most of my family, but kept in contact with my Dad, who I rang every few months. About 20 years ago on one of these calls he told me that my grandmother had offered to give me 50,000 dollars to put a deposit on a house. As I was only working part time I said I wouldnt be able to buy a house at present because I was unable to borrow money for the remainder, a few days later he rang me to tell me the offer had been withdrawn anyway. Recently I was reunited and am back in contact with my brother and sister and mother. My sister owns a rather large house having got on the property market 20 years ago with a large deposit given to her by my grandmother,my brother was given 50,000 dollars also but chose to spend it on other things, my brother told me it was common knowledge in the family that we were all given 50,000 dollars and that my Dad was given the money to give to me as he was the only one in touch with me. I confronted my Dad who said that yes he had been given the money and kept it as I had told him to keep it!!! Thats it... no sorry, no explanation, nothing. Im furious but don't really know what to do about it. I didnt tell him to keep it ... I said I couldnt buy a house with it. |

Posted: 15 Jan 2020 05:56 PM PST My little brother is hyperactive & anything can be a danger. He jumps across the sofas, dances across the room, pokes people in the kitchen, pretends to do karate out of nowhere, etc. Sometimes he'll sing gibberish loudly. I have to look after him 24/7. Sometimes my brother won't even respond to his name and it's frustrating. It's so hard to get him to remember stuff because he forgets instructions. I can usually babysit his age range but it's just that he's unusually hyper and it's a danger. I don't know what to do. Most kids his age are not this tough to handle |
Question: I'm scared to drive?!? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 04:35 PM PST Im 17 still in school and I'm scared to drive and I hear voices my psychiatrist also told my parents to not let me drive and I don't wanna crash, how will I pay my bills when I get older? Do I just pay them online? And I don't have a credit card and a debit card yet, I'm still living with my parents, but If something bad happens to them, I don't even know how I'm going to support myself, I have two older siblings who are married, but I dont think they won't have it with me, they probably won't take long to decided to kick me out if I move in with one of them. So I'll probably be a homeless man for the rest of my life or a hobo, having to be out in the rain when it rains and getting wet. I don't wanna die. |
Posted: 15 Jan 2020 03:36 PM PST I can see her husband and kids being outraged but this was the extended family being outraged. |
Posted: 15 Jan 2020 03:31 PM PST He's in treatment so it seems unusual that she's leaving him now. I don't know whether she still drinks or not as we haven't seen her much in recent years but over the years she's definitely been an alcoholic. She was so drunk once I had to help walk her out of a restaurant and we were at a family reunion of all places. |

Question: Why did my dad slap me? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 03:18 PM PST Last night my sister and I were trying to refill the humidifier with water and i ended up breaking it. I called my dad and he screamed at me saying that it was really expensive, and how i should pay for it myself. I felt guilty so i put gorilla glue to put it together. The next day during school, i was spammed by my dad and he was "screaming" (all caps) why did you glue it??? I never told you to do anything! I wanted to reply but my phone ended up dying. After I went home from school, I went into the basement (Where i usually stay) and my dad called me to the living room to scream at me again! He also said why didnt you reply? Your charger broke again? And i said yeah, it did. He then walked away saying "Dont let me catch you texting again okay? because ill smash your phone if you do". Angrily I said, "Itsa already dead! How can i even text anyone?." He then walked up to me and slapped me numerously in the face saying, "You're so disrespectful! This is all because of your black friends!" |
