Question: How do I tell my friends that I am sorry I ghosted them for half a year? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 01:42 PM PST I don't want to be pittied. My mom is always on my tail avoid everything. I think they call this a helicopter parent? I love my mom, hence why I do everything to please her. I can't go out with my friends and they always seem to pity me. Everytime I tell them I can't go do something with them or I can't help them in some way they always hate it for some reason. I felt like this whole thing was too much pressure for me and now I live with my mom (still) and just work at a fast food place. I plan on moving out but at the same time I feel afraid to do it because of I do then I feel like my mom won't help me with anything in the future anymore. I feel like I have nobody. |
Question: Would my mother want me to tell her about this? Your opinion please.? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 01:32 PM PST I got a part time job as an intern at a computer software company. I am very lucky that I am getting paid as most of my friends that got intern jobs are not getting paid. My boss is a 27 year old single guy that is the hottest and sexiest guy I have ever seen. His is also the greatest boss ever. He spends a lot of time training me. I brought a picture to work and put it on my desk. My boss ask me who it was. I told him it was my mother. He said "I see where you get your good looks". "Your mother is gorgeous". " She does not look old enough to have a daughter your age". Should I tell my mother what my boss said. Moms, would you be interested in what a great looking guy that was 10 years younger said about you? Also, was my boss hitting on me (oh how I wish)? |

Question: I think I failed my precalculas final? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 12:36 PM PST I'm upset because it was just so hard i couldn't memorize everything and i failed i guessed on almost everything |
Posted: 30 Jan 2020 10:27 AM PST So I'm studying Biomedical Science, after 3 & 1/2 years i realized i hate what i'm studying & i really suck at it. I have flunked twice each chemistry class & 3 the first organic chemistry. I was studying in a university in Puerto Rico & we had to move cause of the earthquake. I didn't want to, i could've stayed with my aunt but my dad didn't want to leave me. Now we are living in Florida in my aunts while we get jobs. I'm taking a semester off since i feel overstressed with the quakes that hit us & the sudden move & for now I'm just looking for a job to keep my mind busy. But my parents keeps reminding me & pushing me into getting back to studying & finish the BD that i don't like. I've already talked to them, i told them "look I'm gonna apply to the same college that i studied in PR but I'm gonna study an Associate on Company Administration since it'll take the same time to finish as the BD I'm taking". Because i know I'll have better luck in finding & using that certificate in a job that i wont detest unlike the BS. I do not plan on using the BD to get a job in a laboratory, it'll be just a waste as it did with years that i studied. But my parents specially my dad orders me to finish it or else i would be cut off from their help. I'm now just thinking if to ask my bf to buy me a ticket to fly back & just get married by contract just to get away from dad. But I'll 1st need some psychology before i make that decision. But also like some 2nd hand opinion from this site too. |

Question: Should I keep giving money to my parents? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 08:02 AM PST I don't work but I get a 2k allowance from my hubby. He lets me spend it on whatever I want. My parents know my hubby makes a lot of money. So automatically they assume it's okay to ask. I personally don't mind certain things. I actually give them $100 every month. On top of that I pay for some medications. I don't mind. What bothers me is them asking for more. Like them asking for $200 to fix their car. On top of what I normally give them. Every month is something different. I feel bad saying no after all their my parents. But I have bills and expenses too. I just feel like their taking advantage. I should have never told them how much my hubby makes. Ever since than they're acting like that. Am I wrong in feeling taking advantage of? Ugh idk. My mom asks for money for my siblings too. She tells me to stop buying LV. And to help my family better. I don't even talk to my siblings. Ugh. I don't know what to do. It's starting to bother me to the point that I ignore their calls. Because instead of hi how are you. It's more like we need this and that. Anyway, what can I do to make this stop? Without being rude or hurtful towards my parents. Please let me know. Thank you. |

Question: Husbands Grandmother upset with me. Was I in the wrong ? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 07:51 AM PST I pick up my husbands little brother and cousin from middle school everyday. Their grandmother gives them like $5 for after-school snack . I always take them by sonic to get a drink and fries or something like that. Well yesterday his little brother used his $5 for a snack after school. So Only the cousin got his snack at sonic, Well first thing the little brother did was tell the grandmother that I didn't buy him anything at sonic. She flipped out. Telling me how sorry I was. I was like he made a choice to spend his money at school. Was I wrong? Both boys are 8th graders There was a basketball game afterschool. He went to the concessions and bought a drink ,popcorn &candy. He was eating when I pulled up to get them and in the car. |
Question: Is this person mean? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 05:57 AM PST She openly snubs those whom she dislikes or doesn't respect in public by not shaking their hands when offered a handshake. She treats her grandmother like crap because she was relatively ignored compared to her cousins while growing up. She hated her grandmother so much that she cut the monthly allowance for her retired mother from 1000 to 500 upon discovering that she was buying gifts for grandma. She leaves grandma's b day feast right after she finishes eating at the restaurant instantly , without any acknowledgement or goodbye to the rest of the family eating. Her parents were very abusive but they still loved her very much and did a lot for her. She loved them back but at the end of the day, she changed her mind because she believes that she can find someone "better" to become her family. Basically, they weren't good enough for her. She hadn't spoken to her brother for 10 years after a petty fight and has absolutely no desire to reconnect with him again because she doesn't care enough to. Things are fine in her life. When asked about ignoring her brother for 10 years, she snickers / laughs about it too. |
Question: Daughter moving in with boyfriend? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 05:56 AM PST I am on my daughter's lease because we were both moving from out of state. She moved in 1st, and I was a few months behind her, and lived here a few months while I bought a house. She has been living there two years, and if I took my name off the lease she would have to sign. New one, and her rent would be higher. I been upset she is letting her boyfriend live with her on the weekends, and at times he is there while she is working. I don't agree with that. I even told her she should live with me, and she won't have to pay rent. Her boyfriend can't spend the night, and I don't want him there, but she can still see him. I got fed up, and I told them I want my name off, and told her it ends now the end of March. She is now looking for a place with her boyfriend, and if they don't find something in the town they want she is going to move In with him until something they want comes available. I am horribly disgusted and disappointed. I think it's beyond stupid of her. How can get her to move in with me? |
Question: Was it acceptable to freak out for seeing my parents doing it? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 04:08 AM PST Well they aren't technically my parents. They are my mom and stepdad. I just feel like my stepdad is more of my dad than my actual dad himself because I only see my dad a few times a year. What happened was that I got early home from school today which was awesome. We were let out two hours earlier. I opened the door and saw my stepdad on top of my mom who was on her belly and I shouted out "What the hell is going?" My mom just screamed my stepdad's name and I went to my room. My mom soon entered the room and told me that it wasn't what it looked like but I just told her that it was exactly that and it wasn't a god damn massage. She just left the room after that and started arguing with my stepdad. I'm 16 so this might get removed for that minor thing but this really isn't sexual. Btw my stepdad is only 4 months older than my mom so they are both 37 but my dad is 40. |
Question: Male Nanny supervising my brother bathing. Am I overreacting? Posted: 30 Jan 2020 12:29 AM PST Context: My younger brother is 9 and I recently came home to visit him and my mother from college. She hired a male nanny to take him to play a few times a week since he never knew our father. She said my brother needed male companionship (I'm female). My brother recently injured his leg, and needs help getting in and out of the bathtub sometimes. Usually mom or I do it, but on the night the male nanny was over my brother asked for his help. I thought this was highly inappropriate. I spoke to my mom about it privately and she acted like I was paranoid. She said the guy has been background checked, and it's no different than a locker room. I spoke to my brother in private, and he thought my reaction was weird. He said "we're both male, and if he was my brother or dad you wouldn't say anything. I don't feel weird, why should you." I'm still unsettled. Am I overreacting? Am I crazy? |
Question: Why did granddaughter have videogames porn drawings on phone? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 08:52 PM PST Its of a cartoon skeleton with big blue or red eyes and a blue shirt or sweatshirt. Its not normal and its crazy. I'm concerned for her. |
Question: Getting home at night as a working student ? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 08:34 PM PST I'm in high school and want to work part time but the problem is that because of my availability, every job requires me to work at night, including where i'm currently employed. The problem is that my mum is single and has to stay home with my 3 younger siblings who are always asleep by the time my shifts end, so she can never pick me up. Considering I live a 20 minute walk from the shops, do you think it's safe to walk home after a shift? Or perhaps bike instead? Maybe I could just ask for a lift home from another worker even if I don't know them well? It's a struggle...Does anyone else have this same problem? How did you get home? |
Posted: 29 Jan 2020 08:10 PM PST more than me . how do i convince my parents to be at least careful with their inheritance , so that tomorrow the guy won't tell me i screwed your sister and stole your money too .. |
Question: Help I don't know what to do? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:58 PM PST I am currently a junior In high school and I am having problems with a teacher. At the beginning of the first semester things started out rough. He treated all of the kids poorly and said things that a teacher should not say. First semester he was extremely touchy with all the girls. He would walk up to them and rub/ touch their upper back/ shoulder area. Several kids complained about this and the only thing they did was told him to stop. There were also several other things that were brought up to counselors and principals. I tried to tell some one but I was immediately shot down. Now its second semester and I thought things would have been better but there not. Now he is making remarks about things he should not be, like kids financial situations. Today he told us that we needed to go out and buy things for a project tomorrow, and a kid asked what if they could not afford it and he immediately said if you are one of those poor kids, I might provide you with a few popsicle sticks and a rubber band, but they are only a few dollars at the store. This made every one in my class uncomfortable. I don't like that he is treating kids different for something that they cannot control, and calling them out in front of the whole class. Because this is not the first time I am afraid that he will continue to do it. I want to do something about it, but I am afraid that I will get shot down like I did last time. I am tired of seeing him treat kids like this but i don't know what to do. |
Posted: 29 Jan 2020 05:48 PM PST Yet another lie. Luckily I was not set on this and so not a big deal to me but it disappoints me again that the man is such a bad liar. He had been saying for a month or two to plan on going. He devastated me with a lie about a ski trip over Christmas and he has a long history of broken promises, part of why my mother left him for a time. I have horrible memories of a promise he made to see my grandfather on his last Christmas a few years ago and then he said "never mind, Mom says we have to go see her Mom and step-father". He ended up passing away before Christmas but had he been alive and we not able to see him I would have never talked to my Dad again. My Dad always neglected his elders. So today was yet another in a long list of his lies. So what my question with this is, is again how do I not get disappointed anymore but lower my expectations in this man who is obviously going to lie? How do I not let myself get hurt by a wicked liar like this? |
Question: If you had a child with one of your parents, what is the relation between it and you? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 03:20 PM PST So I'm my French class we were talking about family and this came up. I'm saying, if someone had a kid with their dad, obviously it would be your child but what type of siblings are you? Half siblings, 3\4 siblings? I have no idea. The only answers I've gotten were "it wouldn't happen because that's incest". True, but not helpful. Hopefully this makes sense 😂 |
