Question: Need Advice (best answer will be chosen)? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 04:51 PM PST I'm supposed to go on a trip to El Salvador with my roommates after graduating. Not sure I wanna go tho, background: Originally my best friend (a roommate) and I were talking of going on a road trip to Grand Canyon, but then one of our roommates invited us to Salvador because he has family there and it would be cheaper. I only said yes because my best friend was excited to. Now some family stuff has come up around that time for my best friend and he can't go. He let me know first and said he didn't want to just abandon me or anything but that he couldn't go. No matter what I say knowing him he will tell me still go and enjoy myself. Thing is, I don't really want to go if he's not going and will feel bad going without him. And I can't afford/have enough leave at work to do both trips. If I talk to him about it (should I?), What should I say? Thanks and sorry it was long |
Question: Why does my ex best friend always look/stare at me during the school day? ? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 03:57 PM PST My ex best friend is always watching me at school. Like today I was walking out of lunch with a couple of friends and she was coming from the same direction I was headed in. Once I passed her. I turned around to face one of my friends I was walking with and she was just staring at me from across the hallway. And then another incident where this occurred was during lunch yesterday her and my other ex best friend (the three of us were all super close. The 2 of them are still best friends.) and I was at a lunch table with a few of my other friends and they both just looked at me. I was facing the way they were facing and I was talking to one of my friends who was across the table. I just wanna know why they both keep staring at me throughout the day. It's just kinda creeping me out. I will also add that since we've been friend I was super clingy and gullible. And I've changed a lot since they ended their friendship with me. I also went through a lot of tough stuff when we were friends and I was lowkey depressed throughout the entire friendship, and I've changed and matured and also gotten a lot happier since we were friends. Could this be Why they keep looking at me throughout the day? |
Question: How do you love yourself? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 03:08 PM PST I'm a thirty year old female and I struggle with self love. I'm insecure and I have low self esteem. I'm trying to heal from my past but it's pretty hard. I was molested as a child, I have never been in a serious relationship men just used me (they would lead me on), I don't have any friends, people just use me and I have let them smh. I want my confidence to be strong I don't want to be shy anymore. I've tried talking to a therapist but I felt she was judge mental so I haven't went back. What can/should I do. |
Question: Is it normal to hurt for other people? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 02:42 PM PST This lady I barely knew just died and I just found out that she was a dear friend of my grandma's and I can't stop crying. |
Question: Why is he jealous if I talk to other men? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 01:06 PM PST Guy is not ready to commit to BF/GF status, but says we are not FWBS/hookups. He wants us to "go with the flow" since we have only been dating for 2 months. He did get jealous assuming a friend was male, and recently when I said I'll get personal training, he said "don't get too close to him." Does this mean he somewhat cares but doesn't like labels? |

Posted: 22 Jan 2020 12:08 PM PST It's like they know I'm getting better and want to stop me. They never directly do it but they indirectly do it so I can't know how to stop it. I feel like they don't want me to succeed and they want me to be fake with them. It's so unnerving. Maybe it's spirits influencing them to do stuff at the right times to piss me off. I don't want to continue acting like I love them if they're gonna keep betraying me every time I get better. What should I do? |
Question: How can I let her know indirectly she needs to respect boundaries? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 10:54 AM PST I have coworker who became my friend and we've been always cool and we make each other laugh. She is married. But she constantly texts me with funny memes and videos through out the day. I am divorced and I have a child who I only see 2 days a week. When I'm spending time with him she is sending me texts with funny memes and videos all day. I am not always in a laughing mood. I don't always want to reply. It's like when I don't reply she even sends more. This friendship is overbearing and overwhelming. I like to keep my distance with friends but when we get together and hang out it's all love. She even makes suggestion of what I should get my child and do with my child. It's ok to do that. I just want her to understand everything needs to consulted with my ex wife. I feel like she can be immature/petty with some of the memes she sends me. It's feels like indirect insult when I am not replying. Please advise. FYI she is not my girlfriend. I don't want to text her all day and laugh at the memes and video she sends me. I need to live my life and not get text late in the night. Another thing she texts me late after 10. What if I am with a female and she questions who is this girl texting you so late. |
Question: What are the rules of inviting a female friend to hang out at your place? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 09:47 AM PST So I am very introverted in my 20s. I never invited anyone to my place before even when I was growing up. I have no idea what to do. I just like this woman a lot, we have been friends for two years in school and work. I do not work there anymore so I do not see her. She asked me before to hang out. I did not, I was busy with life. I want to make more efforts into our friendships. I do not know when its appropriate to invite her over. Should we hang out first few times. I really want to get to know her more. She is older than me. So I do not know what would she like, need some advice? |
Question: Is it weird im close to my best friends brother?!? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 08:44 AM PST Ok so my best friend is a guy (16) and his brother (14) is another close friend of mine (im a 16 year old girl). I was actually friends with my best friends brother before I got close to my best friend. My best friend and i arent allowed to hang out alone so his brother always hangs out (so like if my best friend and I go to dinner his brother has to go). But like is it weird im close to him too or is it normal? 1) he will call me randomly to see how my day is going 2) he will send me memes 3) we have more inside jokes than I have with my best friend 4) we always hit and push each other when we see each other 5) he makes more of an effort to see me than my best friend does (we live an hour away and we literally see each other for 3 hours a month) 6) we shared a blanket on the couch one time 7) he helps me find my best friend when i cant find him are we just super close or is it weird? |
Question: Is it okay to move on? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 08:20 AM PST I'm at a point in my life where I want to surround myself with better people. People who give a s***, people who love intimately, people who are independent and self-reliant(like me cuz I live alone). Is it okay to say goodbye to old friendships that are not worthwhile? Is it okay to move on? It's like when you are being treated poorly by someone, but you know you deserve better, and with time you actually are the one moving forward in life and they stay put. They don't learn, and they don't advance. Is it okay? |
Question: What is the nutritional value of gold? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 07:26 AM PST My friend really, really wants to know, and frankly he's getting weird about it. Please help me, Yahoo |
Question: Tips for finding new friends? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:59 AM PST I'm trying to make better friends, or at least start socializing with better people and I'm looking for advice! I'd like to join a bowling league. I thought that might be a good starting point. I feel like because I'm in a happy, healthy, place in my life others like to vent, or protrude, or they slightly try to make me miserable. I know it sounds bad, but that's how I feel. |

Question: How do i get him to talk? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:51 AM PST I have 3 close guy friends. 1) my best friend (16) 2) my ex (18) 3) my best friends brother (14). Ok. My best friend and his brother have been friends with my ex for their whole lives. I still talk to my ex and his sister. Everytime my best friend and I try to call or text my ex, he will just ignore us and leave us on read. I called my ex Saturday and he picked up first ring. I texted him sunday a question and he left me on read. My best friend made a group chat with the two of us last night and he just leaves us on read. I think it is because hes going through a tough time right now (he wont tell us lol) and he is obsessed with playing video games (i think its his escape). But i feel like im drifting apart from my ex because he wont talk so how do i get him to talk to us?! I would hate to lose this friendship he is the first person Ive truly loved I dont have feelings for my ex anymore. In fact I like my best friend right now; i just dont want to drift apart from my ex |
Question: Will it only get worse if I stay? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:37 AM PST We have been together for 7 years. We have no kids. For the last 2 I have been the one earning the money while he stays at home, occasionally they get a part time job but only when they want to buy something as I selfishly use all the money I earn on the rent, household bills, food and replacements for things they are their "friends" break. I have a decent job but there is very little left of my paycheck after the nessesistiies are paid. They keep inviting random people they find back to the house for social gathering. Often when these people come around they drink and stuff end up broken. We have had multiple arguments about this, gone to counselling where they claim they will get better, but after a year I am starting to question if things will ever get better. |
Question: Is my husband into his friend or am I being insecure? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:19 AM PST He became friends with her 4 years ago, he is a social person. They see eachother every week in church group events, he makes a lot of jokes with her and they share some stuff in common. They text almost every day. When she's down about something he cames to cheer her up. And he also brings her up in conversations when we talk or question if I talked to her. He hang out with her in groups and wants us to hang with her family. Like am I being paranoid/insecure or not? |
Question: How do i tell him?!? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 05:50 AM PST ok I REALLY like my best friend. He has this girl hes kind of talking to right now but its not serious and he has never met her. It is too hard pretending i feel nothing when i talk to him and his brother (hes 14 and hes my other best friend; he reminds me so much of my best friend hah). How do I make a move on him or tell him?! Thank you:) |
Question: Have you ever screwed someone over in order to make someone jealous? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 05:03 AM PST If so, did you feel any remorse for hurting them? Did you get the person back that you were initially trying to make jealous? I just really need to get this off my chest. I'm sad it's this way, to strangers on the internet I'm not gonna lie, I've done this. And I feel horrible. I never have spoken on this because I'm just so disgusted with myself. The person really fell for me and i never had any intention of being with them. I really did lead them on. They were my best friend before anything, we were friends with a group of people from work. They all knew how she felt about me. But she also knew I was still in love with my at the time ex. Things were rocky with my ex, and spoiler alert. we ended up back together. I remember hearing my friend crying next to me one night when we were drunk. She cried herself to sleep, I found a post it note of her trying to write my phone password down. I will never forget that. I destroyed her. And it was like I didn't even care. The truth is I do, I do care a lot about her. She is so sweet, I didn't deserve to be anything to her but she made me her world. And I took advantage of her. I will never forgive myself. We don't speak anymore really, and she's been dating someone and is engaged after 7 months, I'm not surprised. She's amazing. I'm glad she's found someone. It just hurts me to think back on all I have done. If I ever see her soon I hope to have the decency to apologize or perhaps maybe I should let it go, as it seems she has too. |
Question: Why do people ignore me? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 04:57 AM PST 'ignore' is maybe not the right word. What I mean to say is that when my friend and I are talking to somebody, that person only looks at my friend. This isn't only the case with this particular friend, I noticed this also when I was in high school. It doesn't bother me that much, just I don't understand why this happens. What do you guys think? |

It just hurts me to think back on all I have done. If I ever see her soon I hope to have the decency to apologize or perhaps maybe I should let it go, as it seems she has too. |
Question: Why do people ignore me? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 04:57 AM PST 'ignore' is maybe not the right word. What I mean to say is that when my friend and I are talking to somebody, that person only looks at my friend. This isn't only the case with this particular friend, I noticed this also when I was in high school. It doesn't bother me that much, just I don't understand why this happens. What do you guys think? |
