Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:14 PM PST I think I tend to go to funerals too frequently so I'm just gonna do the viewing for this person only and not try to takeoff three hours of work for his funeral. I just had to takeoff an entire day for a funeral in December plus I went to one on a weekend in November for a friend of my living grandfathers. The fellow who's doing I'm going to Monday is a guy that I know from a previous job he's friends with my late grandfather. I know this man personally and see him about twice a year but it's not a friend or family member, rather just an acquaintance. |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:06 PM PST Why would a possessive and abusive man a woman had a casual intimate relationship with dodge the police for weeks who have been trying to serve him a civil protection order? The person knows they are looking because they spoke to him on the phone nearly two weeks ago and people at his house are saying "he doesn't live here anymore". If you are done and intend to not bother the woman anymore, why not just take it so the situation can be done and over with for good. Help!!! This is my situation now. ***FYI there's already an actual criminal charge on his record from three years ago for assault that was never expunged so idk what it could be (only criminal charge in the state so it could have been expunged). My issue isn't phone contact (I can easily change my #s)- rather if we just happen to run into each other in public I don't want him talking to me or concerned about what I'm doing. Plus a few days ago I got this mysterious text on my 2nd number which I never personally gave to him asking if this was a guys # and all of the names are connected to his coworker and child's mother. It was a missed call today. No way it was random. Only once but weird and clearly they must have heard a female voice on the voicemail if they were on the line that long. Nothing from his direct number though. * missed call a few minutes before they sent the text I mean. |

Posted: 16 Jan 2020 12:28 PM PST A friend of mine and his wife are staying with me for a few months until they get back on their feet. The husband especially tends to talk my ear off about a friend of his who he used to work with. He tells the same tired stories over and over and brags about him being a gangbanger and hanging out with him and all his gang buddies, smoking blunts, etc. Today he told me this guy came into a lot of money and bragged to me about how he's going to give him and his wife 10 grand. I assume they will be moving once they get the money. I thought it was so weird because this gang member guy didn't offer to help him until he learned that I opened up my home to him and his wife, then he made all these promises to help him and do whatever he can. I feel pretty hurt and feel like the help I offered isn't good enough now. I feel like he's all happy about getting money from this guy and now I don't matter. I just wish he would shut up about this guy and not talk to me about him anymore. I don't care about his blunts or tats or gang member culture. I don't give a damn about this guy and don't want to hear about him anymore. What's a nice way of expressing this to my roommate? So I got home from work and I asked my guest as nicely as I could to please try to keep his cat away from my cat's food because one of them is still really skiddish and I'm trying to keep things comfortable for her until she's adjusted. He went to his room and told his wife to keep his cat in the room because he doesn't want anymore bull **** and now they shut themselves inside the room and aren't talking to me. I don't know what to do |
Question: Why do people fake being your friend? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:18 AM PST Just lost three "Friends" because I would sleep with them. |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:58 AM PST one female friend every few weeks? He's a single guy who wants to feel more comfortable around girls so he came up with the goal to have dinner or hang out with a female friend every other week, or make a new female friend every month? For example, last night he hung out with a new female friend (only knows her for 1 year) at the pool hall, and he just set up a dinner with an old female friend for next Friday. Then in a few weeks, he's going to see a movie with a female coworker friend of his. |
Question: What was my friend trying to imply ? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 09:33 AM PST Hadn't seen my friend in 20 years we went hang out at a spirts bar having so much fun laughing , hugging , drinking so next day he tells me a lot of people were mad we was together ? Like wtf he's single an so am I |
Question: A less hypocritical way of saying "don't tell me what to do"? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:49 AM PST Okay so someone is telling you what to do when they shouldn't. But if you tell them "don't tell me what to do" that makes you a hypocrite because you just told them what to do. So I don't like it when people tell me what to do when they shouldn't. But if I tell them "don't tell me what to do" that makes me a hypocrite. what would be a way to handle the situation without being a hypocrite? |
Question: Are all high school guys like this? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:06 AM PST I am the only girl in my AP Calculus class. My classmates are all my friends and are great guys. We have a lot of home work so we sometimes gather at someone's house and do our homework together. This time it was my house. After we completed the homework, my mom served all the guys fresh homemade apple pie and ice cream. They loved it. We usually rotate whose house we go to for doing the homework. However the guys ask me if we could go to my house again for the homework. That is OK with me. I just thought they liked the pie and ice cream my mom made for them. Then one of the guys told me the real reason they wanted to come to my house. When mom served them pie and ice cream she wore her Daisy Dukes. Are all high school guys like this that they are horny for someone twice their age? |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 05:31 AM PST Partner complains that we don't hang out enough but they never message first or suggest plans. I am the one who has to organise and plan everything. If I don't message first then we won't talk until I message. Why do they complain about not meeting up but don't make any effort in making plans? |

Question: Should I Try to be Friends? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 12:29 AM PST Sorry for the block of text So I am a student and as a student does I have classes, some of which are with this person. We have talked a good amount and have hung out at lunch a few times. I think they want to be friends with me; while they are a nice person and I have nothing seriously personally against them, I don´t really want to be friends with them. I find it draining to be around them and there's not a lot I feel we have in common. I get the idea that they do not have a lot of friends, so I feel really bad about not wanting to be friends. I want to be nice and I don't want them to be friendless, but I don't want to base a friendship on pity; I don't think I could be a good friend to them. Should I try and be friends with them? I feel like a terrible person for even having to ask |

Question: Friend ignores me every time he starts dating unless he needs a favour? Posted: 15 Jan 2020 11:34 PM PST My closest friend has started to ditch me every time he dates. I know when you're in a new relationship you need time to settle in and get to know each other, but this happens every time he starts dating someone new (which is very frequently). I give him space and never bring it up to him that I feel ignored, but the thing is: He always comes to me when something goes wrong in his relationships, but never talks to me anymore unless he needs to vent or needs a favour. I feel used, but I don't know what to do. We use to be really close and I don't like to think of a life without him as a friend, but it doesn't feel worth being ignored anymore. Anyone have advice of situations like this? |
