Question: Is there a term for someone who has zero common sense? ? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 02:09 PM PST I met this girl in my musicianship class, and I've been tutoring her ever since last semester. She's 23 and we're both music majors. Anyway, I'm having a VERY hard time keeping my patience with her, because she's extremely ditzy and asks stupid questions. For example, we had a quiz in our singing class, and the directions were to look at the note on the staff, and write the note name(letter) in the space provided. She then turned to me, because she didn't understand what that meant. Another example, we went grocery shopping, and she asked me verbatim, "how do I know if my car is on or not?" Then when we were in the checkout line, she forgot her wallet in her car, and asked me, "what do I do?" Another instance, she signed up for a singing class, but went to the wrong class (a music history class by the way) for TWO weeks and didn't realize it. I can't tell if she has a learning disability or if she was just very sheltered growing up, but I'm running out of patience for her, and I need advice on what to do. |

Posted: 23 Jan 2020 01:13 PM PST I've started writing to that person just a while ago. Not being in a good mindset as they didn't want to share their problems with me I ended up getting upset telling them that I feel like we aren't friends if we can't talk about that I shortly left the chat , wanted to go back again only to find them telling me that we Aren't supposed to be friends and that we should stop this . Simply I was shocked got frustrated and made the next mistake to answer to them right after seeing it . I blamed myself said I should die and things like that and after this went down they called me inhumane and left my chat . I've been to my therapist in between and they told me to write them that I understand of how I should have known better and that I should have known better . They haven't answered me yet and it's been two days . Have I messed up ? I know it's probably the case , but I want to clarify things , before my hopes are too high . I won't message them again if so of course . It's sad but what can you do . |

Posted: 23 Jan 2020 11:55 AM PST The problem is some boy (I know the guy only by seeing him around the block that's all.) walks up to me and began asking all kinds of sexual based questions like, "Are you having sex with any girls yet?", "Do you like x girl?", "Do you want to have sex with y girl", along with others. Finding this a strange way to start a conversation and asking questions that seems too out of place and none of his business I got mad.Now my sister always goes like oh I have social issues and don't know how to talk to people. Well, that's wrong because I do know how to have a proper conversation with someone the only problem is what's in the conversation. The fact that the boy started it with sex stuff and was overdoing it with the sexual talk and stuff wasn't something I wanted. He could have said, "Good day" and say something like "How was school?" or anything else. You know a normal talk... If I tried to communicate nicely the person would of kept on talking about it, believe me it would not work. The boys around my area are very annoying and will keep on doing something even when you tell them to stop. The anger was the results of me simply wanting to find the quickest way to stop the conversation. |
Question: How do i get my ex to talk?!? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 08:54 AM PST I have 3 close guy friends. 1) my best friend (16) 2) my ex (18) 3) my best friends brother (14). Ok. My best friend and his brother have been friends with my ex for their whole lives. I still talk to my ex and his sisters. Everytime my best friend and I try to call or text my ex, he will just ignore us and leave us on read. I called my ex Saturday and he picked up first ring. I texted him sunday a question and he left me on read. My best friend made a group chat with the two of us last night and he just leaves us on read. I think it is because hes going through a tough time right now (he wont tell us lol) and he is obsessed with playing video games (i think its his escape). But i feel like im drifting apart from my ex because he wont talk so how do i get him to talk to us?! I would hate to lose this friendship he is the first person Ive truly loved I dont have feelings for my ex anymore. In fact I like my best friend right now; i just dont want to drift apart from my ex. His sisters are two of my best friends |
Question: Friends who disappear for weeks? Posted: 23 Jan 2020 07:02 AM PST Hello, so I am kind of bothered by this, so thought I'd post. I've had this friend for a couple of years. We have a lot in common in terms of where we're from, what we believe, etc. Some days she'd call me 5 times a day just to chat. We'd be texting back and forth all the time. However, sometimes I'd call or text and there would be no response, not for days. Sometimes weeks. Then out of the blue she'd pop up again as if nothing happened. I did ask her what's up. She'd get mildly offended. It started to be a little too weird for my tastes. I am the type who calls back and texts right away, not 2 weeks later. I think it's plain rude to blow someone off for weeks and then show up back in their life. I don't have a lot of friends, just mainly acquaintances, so I enjoyed the interaction we had but I am thinking it's time to move on? Lately, she'd only be calling while in the car because she was bored. I guess to me friendship means a lot more than calling someone because you're bored. Also, I felt used because she'd mainly ask me questions and not share too much, always quoting that her life is too boring. My question was what to do, to move on or respond? We never really spent that much time in each other's company. She is busy with her kid and such, so she would only call. Usually, when I'd invite her to meet somewhere, she'd refuse. She'd also supposedly invite me to her house and then not pick up when I'd call to say I am leaving. So I wouldn't go obviously, and then it would be "oops, I didn't see the call". So you don't think that someone who calls you all day long would just drop off for 2-3 weeks and then reappear like hello! Keep in mind, meanwhile they didn't pick up or respond to your texts. |

Question: What to do when you're in the spotlight of an investigation you don't know why? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 09:56 PM PST It's obvious I'm in the spotlight for something. Neiboorhood watch and vigilantes. Not sure why. I doubt its something pitiful for the effort they put. Should I put up with it or leave and start over somewhere else. It interferes with my daily lifestyle that I'm not the same person I used to be. I personally find all this pathetic but its getting annoying. The guy vigilantes seem like perverts. |
Question: Should I trust my online friend ? Posted: 22 Jan 2020 09:44 PM PST I met this girl 2 years ago on Instagram. She started following me one day, and back then I used to just follow everyone back and just accepted follow requests. She started commenting on my pictures like "pretty" or "cooool" and simple stuff like that, so I was like okay this girl is my new friend now. We start texting each other, not a lot but just simple stuff like how's your day going even when something bad would happento us , we both go online text each other and ask for advice. She recently asked for my address, she wants to send me some gifts and I think that's a great idea, I would love to send her some gifts too! But I am also a person who loves to watch "documentaries" and I look at the signs like (she does send me timed pictures) (pictures you can only take In that moment) so she can't be a catfish. She has posted videos, and friends on her Instagram. She does have some comments on her pictures. But she only has 90 followers, I don't judge but idk I'm weird. I was just second guessing giving her my address. |
Posted: 22 Jan 2020 06:59 PM PST So yesterday I went to the gym with a friend. We went to the dance room on the second floor with a lot of windows There was this really cute guy who was jogging around and while I was dancing by myself my friend told me he was staring at me while I was dancing and couldn't take his eyes off me and she started freaking out. Our mutual friend said on the phone that I caught his eye We then went downstairs and saw him sitting a couple of chairs over but I was too scared to say anything and my friend kept telling me how gorgeous I was and that I looked fire and should talk to him My friend and I started playing basketball and he glanced over a couple of times and eventually left. I told my friend if I ever saw him again I would say something. 30 minutes later we went to the student center and saw him there with friends lol. We went to Starbucks and he kept glancing through the windows but it could just be cause he recognized us. My friend told me how I said I was gonna talk to him if I saw him again but he was with friends!! I'm so upset I missed that opportunity. What should I do? And why was he staring? |
