Question: Should wedding dresses always be white? Posted: 07 Aug 2018 08:37 AM PDT I recently got engaged and I've been looking at wedding dresses. My family is really pushing for me to get a traditional white gown, but I want something a little different. I was thinking about either a blush or peach gown. Me and my Fiancé talked and he doesn't have a problem with it. It's mainly just my family. I don't plan on changing my mind, but I was just wondering what other's thought on the topic. Question: Is it wrong to reuse this ring? Posted: 07 Aug 2018 06:51 AM PDT My mother passed away in 2012 and i got her engagement, wedding, and 1 years anniversary rings (theyre all welded together). Its very nice, about 27 diamonds on it. And i had a child with a girl whom i used said ring to proposet to. We were engaged for a few months and she cheated so we split up and i got the ring back. Its a ring thats important and very sentimental to me. I was wondering if its wrong for me to use it for another woman later down the road? I feel it is, so I was gonna give it to my son when hes older. But the rings so beautiful, id love to give it to the woman I love. What are your thoughts? |
Question: My sister got engaged around the same time my bf wanted to propose...I need advice!? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 08:15 PM PDT So my sister got engaged in April and at the same time my bf wanted to propose but my sisters bf beat him to it. Now that its been 4 months, my bf wants to propose but we're afraid of "stealing" her spotlight. My sister is very sensitive and I'm just afraid that she will be upset. We don't plan on getting married anytime around her and our plans won't clash with hers whatsoever. My bf and I are about to move in together and I wanted us to be engaged before we move in. Any advice would be super helpful. TIA |
Posted: 06 Aug 2018 01:06 PM PDT One of my best friends' sisters is getting married and I was surprised to find out that I was invited to her wedding seeing as I am friends with her sister, not her. I know that their mother loves me and I have obviously been to their house many times and spent time with her immediate family on different occasions over the years, however, it is still a little surprising. Regardless, I am flattered that they thought to invite me and I think it's a really nice gesture, however, I did not get a plus 1 on my wedding invite; I have a serious boyfriend that I live with and have been with for a little over a year now. I understand the mindset that I am not close to the bride/groom so why should I get a plus 1, BUT, isn't it a little weird to get a wedding invite without your serious significant other included? I was already going to feel uncomfortable attending in the first place because I am only going to know about 3 people there (my best friend and her parents -- all of which are going to be extremely busy all night because they are pretty much in the wedding party) -- but now I don't get to bring a guest either. I already attended the bridal shower and felt very out of place and basically sat by myself because I didn't know anyone and my friend was extremely busy making sure everything went smoothly. Yes, I understand that this wedding is NOT about me. I am just trying to get some feedback to see how you would handle the situation. I am thinking I want to decline? HELP. |
Question: How can I find someone to officiate my wedding? Posted: 06 Aug 2018 12:20 PM PDT I m getting married soon and I need someone to officiate. Where do I find this person and how do I know they are official? |
