Posted: 31 Aug 2018 06:17 PM PDT I find it hypocritical haha. They're all like "marriage should be for LOOOVE" when trying to explain why prenups are bad, evil, mean spirited, blah blah. But the second a woman makes more than a man, she wants an ironclad prenup so solid that it would make the Swiss Bank proud. What's up with that? |

Posted: 31 Aug 2018 03:08 PM PDT My first serious romantic relationship with a woman is my wife. We've been together for 5 years. My wife on the other hand had one serious boyfriend of 4 years. She was broken up with him for over a year, then slept with him once three months before we started dating. She didn't know at the time, but she got herpes from him then gave it to me. She had an STD test but herpes doesn't always show positive when people have it. The first year of our relationship she had pictures of her and her exboyfriend on her family computer, facebook, and personal computer. When I asked her to get rid of the photos or hide it somewhere I wouldn't see it we had a big argument. She finally got rid of the photos or hid them a year after I first mentioned them. The third year into our relationship we were engaged. Her exboyfriend died of a heroin overdose and she was devasted. She went to his funeral with her mom and spoke at the eulogy per the ex boyfriend's mom's request. I asked my wife not to go, and certainly didn't want her to speak at the funeral. On his facebook page she posted a picture of them when they were dating and left a sentimental note. Shortly after the funeral and on the 1 year anniversary of his death a lot of their mutual friends called her to talk about it. A couple years go by. Now we are over a year into our marriage. When I climbed into bed a couple nights ago my wife was half asleep. As she reached for me she called me by his name. I am fed up with this relationship. One thing I do want to add is her exboyfriend tried to get back with her 6 months into our relationship and she rejected him. |
Question: I want to be so busy I don’t bother him? Posted: 31 Aug 2018 02:58 PM PDT I'm 30 and have a boyfriend. Currently I'm getting my PhD. My goal is to teach at the college level. I work for the university as a TA. I generally teach from 3PM-6PM daily. If I'm not teaching I'm studying. I truly believe my bf thinks I do NOTHING with my time because I'm not working full time. He's made comments about it. During the summer I was insanely busy. I worked 30 hours per week at a summer camp on top of teaching 3 classes at 3 hours a piece. My bf is BIG on space. We both own our own homes. His idea of "spending too much time together." is spending more then 2 nights a week together. He's made comments I call him too much. I'm finding myself wanting to be so busy that I don't have time to think about him at all. (Like this summer) I'm considering a 2nd job during the day. I almost feel like I have to "prove" something to him. Any advice? |
Question: Is it a good idea to get married at 18? Posted: 31 Aug 2018 01:33 PM PDT I only know one couple that got married at 18 and they're still together like 40 years later but the rest always get divorced lol idk what do you think?? |
Question: Husband starts fights, wants to live off my family, doesnt wanna work. What to do? Posted: 31 Aug 2018 09:20 AM PDT I am almost certain my husband is mentally unstable. He is very controlling and has to boss me around like a parent. My mom and I agreed to go on a weekend trip and take the kids. My grandma and my mom always took my on trips just with them and my grandpa stayed behind and WORKED, which we thought he would want to do (he is a truck driver who travels for a living). We agreed to take the kids to a nicer place and a cruise and he agreed. Yesterday he threw a tantrum and said he wont tolerate "being sidelined" and that "disrespecting a man who makes the money and is the head of household" isnt appropriate. My mom and grandma paid cash for the house, not him and he refuses to pay them back per the agreement he made. What can I do? He needs to WORK and stop cheating my family out of money. I have the divorce papers ready to file (pro se) he keeps telling me that "saying the D word wont be tolerated and I am only wanting a divorce for attention" BECAUSE ITS MY TRUST FUND MONEY THATS WHY! They gave me a loan from it. He signed an agreement to pay it back! he now refuses and says "haha, I got a free house from your family!" i work 3 jobs! |
Posted: 31 Aug 2018 05:34 AM PDT This is a sticky wicket of a situation so im going to try and keep it simple. My new husband of 2 months and i have been together for 6 yrs. Its been one hell of a toller coaster and we have had to face and overcome some serious demons. But im wondering if its disrespectful to stay out all night without letting me know, saying ur only gonna spend 40 at the bar and $200 later...and then getting mad at me when i explain to him how upset this all makes me. When im balling my eyes out cause im so hurt that i feel more like a booty call than a wife. I need help explaining to him that this is disrespectful and downright selfish. Theres alot more to our story but this seems to be a hurdle that we cant get past. But its ok for him to be mad if i wear heels to a bar with some girls.(but at least he knows where i am, who im with and sometimes i send him a location for maps) plz help guide me people of earth. Im seriously losing my mind and have no other ideas on how to solve this in a positive way. Am i overreacting? Please please help me understand. Cause all im starting to feel again is mistrust and resentment and i do love him. |
Question: How do I talk to my best friend about becoming something more? Posted: 30 Aug 2018 04:17 PM PDT My best friends and I are very close. Sometimes I feel like she is in love with me. She is very touchy-Feely with me. Like we were sitting on the couch together and she sat basically on top of me instead of at the other end of the couch and she always holds my hand and stuff. She has also said things like she wants to marry me and who needs a man when I have you, but in a joking way. Basically people think we are a couple. However, she talks to men but never has sex with them. She says that she is straight. I am asexual but I am in love with her. I have a feeling she is also in love with me, but does not want to admit it. Should I ask her or try to talk to her about it? Should I hint at it or something? I don't know what to do and I'm afraid I will ruin our friendship if I say something about it. |
