Question: Is this weird for our friendship? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 05:37 PM PDT I've been having a hard time receiving answers for my question, so I'll include less details. I've known my older, married, male friend for 2 years (I'm female). We've been friends for over a year. We're not super close, but we have a bond. When we talk, it's never awkward, we never run out of things to talk about. The majority of the time when we see each other, it's at church (which he's the one who invited me over a year ago, but my mom joins me now so we sit elsewhere). When we're at church, we rarely talk. If his guy friends aren't monopolizing his time and if his wife isn't there (which she and I are friendly with each other, but we're not friends. She's never tried to be my friend or vice versa, but we get along), he sometimes comes over to me to chat and say hello to my mom, but otherwise, we don't really talk. He did come over to us today to say hello, but we didn't chat. Today, my mom asked me why my friend and I never talk at church. I see him outside of church once every couple of weeks and it's just the two of us (nothing inappropriate) and we talk for roughly 20 minutes, but he just doesn't seem to chat when we're at church. Do you think that's weird or unusual? I told my mom I think it's because he's so popular and always seems surrounded by his friends and I don't like to bother him, which is true. Today, he was surrounded by a few guy friends, but we made eye contact and I could tell he wanted to come chat, but didn't wanna be rude to his friends. |
Question: Is it okay to cut him off? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 04:22 PM PDT I am girl and in general, I only prefer to have close friendships with GIRLS only. Now, there is a guy in my class who texts me asking me how I am and what's up with my life and so on on a regular basis. He wants me to update him with what's happening in my life, but I am not into that. He also has a gf. What should I do? |

Like when my friend posts on instagram and gets more comments and likes than me or when our other friends comment on her posts and not mine. I dont understnd why im still caught up in this and why it makes me so upset still. I know it all comes from a place from dee insecurity but i just wish it would stop. I feel that i am just so unhappy with my life that i feel envy rather than joy when my friends succeed which is so toxic. Please help.... |

Question: Why is she awkward with me?????? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 02:54 PM PDT Hey guys soo my name is Steven and theres a girl Melissa who works with me. Me and melissa went out for a while back in March, but eventually she ended things with me (long story) we ended on good terms and we continue being friends. We still hangout with a group of friends once in a while, and we have lots of fun. but sometimes at work she acts a little awkward, and doesn't look at me in the eyes when she talks to me. Today we were in the Elevator and she just kept looking at the ground until I began talking to her. After she gave me the biggest smile. one of my friends keep telling me that apperantly she still likes me deep down. Why does she act this way with me???????? Any advice????? |
Question: Any ideas on how I could make a friend? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 02:26 PM PDT I'm home schooled, there are like no home school groups or co-ops in my area. I don't go to church all that much. I go to the library almost everyday and volunteer twice a week, but it's a library, people don't really talk to other people. I'm a babysitter, but with that, the most interacting I do is with kids who are toddlers and younger. It's a small town and there's no "teen hangout". Over the years I have become more and more anti-social, and I want to change that, I just don't know how. If you have any ideas on how I could make a friend, please tell me. Serious answers please. If you're going to be sarcastic or a douche about it, don't answer at all. Thanks in advance. |

Question: Why would someone lie about all their grandparents being dead? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 01:16 PM PDT So here's the story.. a few months ago my friend who's 16 and I'm 15.. what happened was I went to his house to hang out and he talked about how he was 'depressed' because all his grandparents were dead... so I tried to comfort him but I didn't know how to help him.. he always say things are 'too personal' over the stupidest things like I told a my other friend when his birthday was and he got mad at me for that! But with the grandparents i eventually visited and he had family over.. so his mom said hi.. and I met his grandparents-all 4 of them so I went on with the day but later I asked him why the **** would you lie about that.. you just don't do that. Overall he calls me all the time and if I answer he complains about his problems and he thinks everything's personal when I ask things. I never call him first tho. He wonders why but that's why I don't feel like dealing with it. Anyway why would someone lie about that? |
Question: I feel like I just want to move on? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 12:28 PM PDT Ok so I have a lot going on right now and I feel like I just want to move on from my friends. I've just lost interest in them and they told me that they will be my best friends forever and I don't have many friends. A lot of people that have been in my life outside of my family over the years have basically not wanted anything to do with me and I don't know why. I have low self esteem and I just can't do this right now. I feel like it's better not to have any friends right now but I can't tell my friends that I don't want to be friends anymore. I'm just not going to talk to them much anymore at all and let it fizzle out. One of my friends is really busy and she can only hang out when it's convenient for her and i'm Just tired of trying to be understanding with her. I know that sounds bad but i've just lost interest and It's like I've just given up. Is it ok for me to be this way? |
Posted: 12 Aug 2018 11:57 AM PDT Back in June, a kid from another school managed to sneak in and take somebody else's English Regents. In its entirety. Nobody knew a thing until the mom of the kid who was SUPPOSED to take it (who I'm friends with) called after the test and asked if he'd have to wait until August to make it up due to his having a 103 degree fever. When the school finally figured out who the kid was and where he was from, they managed to contact him. The only explanation he gave for his actions was that he "******* felt like it." Why do you think someone would do this? I wouldn't take someone else's Regents if they paid me, I'd be bored half to death. By another school, I mean a complete other district. There's almost 15 miles between his high school and mine. |

Question: Should I expect a girl that I'm dating to tell me big news in her life? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 10:19 AM PDT She was recently accepted to law school, but she did not tell me. Does that me she does not see as a potential bf? I figured out that she was accepted from Facebook. We have been dating for 4 months now. |

Question: What should I do if im in a boring neighborhood at 13 years old? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 07:59 AM PDT Im 13 years old,and my neighborhood is pretty boring. The little amount of friends that I have are either busy,or just stay in and play video games all day. But I just wanna go outside,go to the park, hang out with my friends, and walk around the neighborhood. But my dad wont let me walk anywhere thats not around my house. I even still have to walk with my sister as well or else im not going anywhere. My parents said we MAY move after my first year of highschool maybe to Florida but even then im not sure if the neighborhoods there are kid friendly and stuff like that. What can I do?... |

Question: Se me nota que me gusta?

Question: Coworker asked if I had interest in a girl? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 09:52 PM PDT About 1 month ago I was invited to a professional baseball game from a female coworker. At the game I was seated next to her niece the same age as me (22). There we talked a little and she would ask me questions about the score, stats, work etc. I don't believe I showed or had intentions, at the time, of getting to know this girl more after the game. She had to leave early so we said bye and was nice to meet you. Fast forward today: While I was driving my coworker around she asked me if I remembered the baseball game and I said yes. Then she asked me if I remembered sitting next to her niece and I said yes. Her last question was " Do you have any interest in her?". I thought about it and said yes because of a few reasons. My coworker said ok and we had moved onto another conversation by then. What would be the reason my coworker would ask me if I was interested in her niece? I hadn't brought up the game or her niece since a month ago. Thanks for any input! |

Question: Why are high school seniors SO mean to the 9th graders!!? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 09:02 PM PDT I'm a 14 year old girl and school started in early August for me. They complain we're hella annoying, loud, childish, block the hallways, etc. (Nobody cares what you think). I tried to be nice!! First of all, we were/are all freshmen at one point of our lives, or will be one in the future. I've seen a few smirks and "freshmen are annoying" comments. They even have a specific table that's Seniors Only. Last time I asked the principal out of curiosity, he laughed and said it's for everyone?? Same hidden rule applies to bleachers - if you're a freshman, go sit at the very back or the seats no one wants. Seniors are always first. I never acted like this towards younger people in 8th grade. |
Question: Why can't people I know be honest? What's so hard about that? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 08:52 PM PDT I get blocked on Facebook or email, when I try to get someone to do the right thing, and be honest with me, about an important issue. Someone I know is upset, I try to help them, I get blocked. I try to reason with someone, they get annoyed, they block me. I said something, I did not realize was offensive or remotely wrong. I apologize, and I still get blocked. If something is bugging people about me, it doesn't take a genius-level IQ, to know that the right thing is to just be HONEST! You do not need to block me; just tell me the truth. It's that simple. Also, why can't people ever be wrong? If I argue with someone, and they know they are wrong, and I call them out on it, you guessed it! They block and/or unfriend me. In person, if I prove I'm right about an issue, the other person storms off, in fury. Why can't people understand it's ok to be wrong now and again? |
Question: My friend thinks my bed smells...? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 08:32 PM PDT We were watching a movie when she said that my bed smelled weird and asked if I had washed the sheets. I had just changed the sheets the other day so it wasn t that. She then precedes to tell me that it is my natural face oil odor and says that she will not sleep on the bed or with any pillows or blankets. I feel embarrassed and like the worst friend ever because my friend is sleeping on ground while I am sleeping in my large bed. Also I am really embarrassed and hurt that she can t stand the "smell" which i cant smell. She then says that the smell isn t bad but weird and keeps telling me that it doesn t smell bad... which seems weird since she says that she can t stand it. What should I do? Should I feel bad about this? Do i need to change? Should I ignore what she said? help. |
Question: I can see my neighbors from my apartment window? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 08:27 PM PDT It's usually men beating on their gf or wives. or men forcing girls to do meth so they can hook them on the drug. You know why? so the men can do whatever they want to the girl just for a hit of meth. I see it all. |

Question: How can I ensure that my friend has fun? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 07:17 PM PDT I'm taking me female friend to see a meteor shower. I'm worried that she won't have fun and won't want to go next time. I'm bringing snacks+blankets..is there anything else I should/could do? |
Question: Is my roommate after me? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 02:44 PM PDT So I am planning to move out of a bad roommate situation And coincidentally my roommate decided to pay half of the rent and will pay the other half and the late fee. In addition, I find it funny that since we've been living together he would wait for me to make the payment first. Also, management is being eager to file for non payment although our account has always been good. I somehow think that my roommate may try to rob me or try to seek revenge. Yes, I have anxiety, but at the same time we don't communicate and haven't since May. (Long story) - both of our names are on the lease also. What should I do about my new apartment?
