Her parents turned on her and abandoned her in a narcissistic family situation and so my mother reaches out to her. I give her a ride regularly since she doesn't drive. I am attracted to her. Her other sister has parents with her and her brother who is disabled. But she has no one. I want to one day, not yet, marry her. Is it allowed though when we are 1st cousins? I know sibling marriage is wrong but what about cousin? I know my Mom's great-uncle and his wife were first cousins but that was a rural redneck situation but their 4 children came out just fine.

So I'm the oldest child of two in my family, and I always seem to end up with people upset with me for everything. Every comment I make of everything I say "why are you giving me attitude? Or "why are you so negative?" An example would be, today. My dad is a Elementary School Principal. Today he needed some help getting the School ready for the first day tomorrow. I was will to go help him, but when I heard him say "I'll be back become you you go to work tonight" to my mom (she goes to work at (6:30, it's currently 1:39 ish) I told him I didn't really want to be at the school for like 5-6 hours on the weekend because I have had school all week and wanted done free time on the weekend. So he got all mad and just left. After he left my mom kept telling me I was selfish because they always do stuff for up be we I'd t ever want to help them. Please help.

I've always been there for people, I have like 15 friends, and at a moments notice, I'm there when they need me. I've gone out of my way for years to be there for other people, thinking that one day I may need them to be there for me. Not trying to burn out all my favors, I've usually just done most of everything on my own. But now, after a car accident and some bad luck, when I reach out to my friends, even just to say hi, THEY IGNORE ME!!!! There's like one or two people who are there for me. Even my family hasn't reached out to me, yet whenever they need something I'm there. I guess it's hard because I was always there for my friends, and now, I can't even get a HELLO in return??? I'm so lost and confused, There is literally no one there for me!!! I've gotten more help, advice, companionship from the homeless guy up the street!!!! It really makes me think but I can't figure out why this is happening and why everyone has abandoned me? Can you give me some insight? Anyone else ever been through something like this?

Mom is 50 and she is thinner than me and my sister and she said men want a beautiful woman, and no one like fat. She put masks on her face and tries to look good at home. She said men will look at other women if wife get fat and wife must be desirable. Like I dont care at this age since Im single.

Can someone explain sibling rivalry to me? I am an only child so that concept is totally foreign to me. My husband has 2 brothers and they always try to out do the other. If one get something, the other 2 try to get a bigger and/or a better or more expensive one. No matter what it is they will waste a lot of money trying to out do the other. This makes no sense to me. Why do they do that?

So i came out to my family as gay. My aunt told me it was wrong and that I am going to hell. She said she was leaving Nd my dad said no this is your moms house. Aunt said you were right about him. Every since i came out he has treated ne differently and said rude things. I feel hurt. Im thinking about moving back to seattle. They are here in Mississippi. They are 17. I also do not want to teach them to drive either. I have had them homeschooled for 9 years. They refuse to get jobs because I won't get them a flip phone with gps or learn to drive . They won't walk on the roads

So my brother and I have never been close. And my gf and his wife do not get along very well. The reasons for that are many but it is what it is. It was my birthday a week ago. So my parents, me and my gf went to my brother, who lives some 4 hours away, to see a game I wanted to see and just to celebrate my birthday. My brother lives in a one bedroom apartment and we didn't feel like squeezing in with all of them. I felt it was going to be crowded so we decided to check in to a hotel. It was nothing personal about that. But apparently he took it very personally and told me: "You are a grown man and can do as you please. But I find it weird that a poor student couple like the two of you would rather check in to an expensive hotel over staying with his brother one night. Does that also mean that if and when we visit your city and need somewhere to crash we should also check in to a hotel? And the plan was that you, me and dad go and watch the game. Your gf, my wife and mom have zero interest in watching sports yet your gf insists several times that they come along as well. So all of a sudden she has developed a keen sense of football interest? Or is that she would rather do that over spending time alone with my wife and mom? You have to understand that some of these things appear a little weird. Or have I misunderstood?" I tried explaining to him that it was nothing personal. We found a cheap hotel and I wanted all of us to something together. What is wrong with that?

I was hanging out at a friend's house, and said that i'd be home around 10:45. By 11, I lost track of time. My mom called, and my friend picked up while I was in the bathroom. Once I got home it was 11:26 and she was afraid that I was smoking weed because my friend was "too giggly" while answering the phone. I take responsibility for coming home late, but suspicion of smoking weed because of my goofball friend? Really? Now she won't allow me to go out and no longer "trusts me". I had a feeling that it'd happen because I came home 30 minutes past my curfew, but for her suspicions? that isn't right. I'm turning 18 in a few weeks, don't touch weed, don't touch alcohol even when my parents offer it to me. I just make YouTube videos, study, and play video games with my friends. What do I do?

Me and him are very far apart in age and we used to be super close. We used to do everything together. Now he wont even talk to me even if we are in the same room. He treats me like i am garbage (not only me but entire family). He does and says things to hurt me and is very narcisstic. The problem is he has kids whom i am very close to and he now uses them against me. I have always only done things to help and be there for him so i just don't understand

I am super close with my niece and nephews. They are not in a very good situation (divorced parents, alcoholic dad, bipolar druggie mom, i could go on and on) I am actually closer in age with all of them than i am with my own brother so they are almost like siblings to me. I go to college in a different state Any advice on how to be there for them even tho i am far away? I have contacted CPS before and not sure if i should continue to. I just want the best for them.

For as long as I could think of my mom has bullied and verbally abused me. She's screams on the top of her lungs and belittles me any chance she gets. Honestly I'm 25 and can't stand her I hate being around her I'm never home but when I am or go anywhere with her it's always a nightmare. She scares me how she snaps at every little thing..she's so ghetto she always has to be the only loud angry voice that you hear I'm so ashamed of her.. life is so short and I don't think you should surround yourself with negative people who put you down.. when I'm in my car or far away I feel so happy and feel like a grown adult but when I'm around her she makes me feel like a little kid with no voice since she screams and towers her voice over mine..she even makes me gave most of my earned money to her..I honesty hate her and after tonight I never wanna be around her again! Overall is this bad?

I am a college student and my grandmother is emotionally abusive. She manipulated, controls, body shames, verbally abuses, destroyed my relationship with my mother, and caused anxiety/depression. I don't ever wanna call her because she is such a toxic person in my life. She has a lot of issues that I can't even get into, and she has latched onto me in the most suffocating way possible. This is taking a serious toll on my mental health and I just need help. What advice is there for anyone in my situation? Why do I feel so alone?

For the past 4 years, I've been a single mom working full time. My daughter is expected to wake herself up for school and come straight home (unless she tells me where she's going). I also have five sons (three adults now, two are still preteens). In other words, I don't get much individual time with the kids. The school is cooperating with the police. I am very upset, angry, disappointed and heartbroken in this situation. This teacher has had a history of inappropriate relationships with young students before. He was temporarily suspended but came back in 2016. My daughter is a very shy quiet girl. She can easily make conversation with adults but has a harder time understanding her peers. She takes good care of the house and her little brothers while I work on night shifts sometimes. Now I'm wondering if it has to do with ME as her mother. The kids don't get as much quality time as when their dad was here. If they want to go somewhere, it's usually just with friends or on their own... but I'm often not with them.

This really hurt. It might be just cause the place is too small but you'd think they would say that, instead there is no recognition of me. I am worried they are sick of me or don't like me. I don't even have a family whereas my sister and her husband are there and my brother has all his kids with him but one (he has 5 kids). I am the only one not welcome.

When I was in college I went on a study abroad trip to Russia, I speak it fluently so I would flirt with the local babes. Heres the catch, she said that the her son has amblyopia and needs surgery on the eyes and that she needs my help for paying for it. Im 25 she's 21. What do I do? Im so overwhelmed.

We barely speak even when we are alone in a room together lol. We are probably both shy and i think we both secretly have an attraction to each other (emotionally not physovally cause i dont dress Like a skank-no offence). He avoids eye contact even when he has to say something to me and whenever im talking to someone in the group he literally turns his head away and tunes me out. Its weird.

He's 48 years old and my mom tells me that I'm more mature than him. Which I am. She calls him my baby brother lol. All he does is sit at home do nothing sleep and play candy crush and watch weed videos and blast music. He doesn't have a job because he was a truck driver and he got hurt and he can't work anymore. He thinks he's entitled to everything and it's annoying. I go to college full time and work part time and he does nothing. He whines to me that my mother won't have sex with him. (She works full time) because he can't work. And there's been countless times that I tell him he needs to grow up and act like an adult and then he gets all butthurt and says we make fun of him. Why is he so immature?

I was out with my mum earlier today and she said "do you want to go and get a coffee?" and i said "no thank you i already have a drink" and now, strangely i feel bad for saying no

This is a really unique situation in that i am 21 and my brother is 3. Ever since he was born, him and i have been super close and I've taken on a mother role with him. That's not to take away from my moms and his relationship in any way, but i do have 5 other young siblings and she was always mostly busy with them. Whenever she needs my help with him such as leaving him while other siblings have sports or activities, or running him to his own practices or activities, i drop everything and help her out. That's all I'm good for apparently. Recently she's been keeping him from me and he doesn't understand which is the worst part. Today i wasn't "allowed" to go cheer him on at his baseball game after I'm the one who has taken him to all of his practices because she was busy. It was my idea and my pushing to take him to an amusement park, we all paid money to be there, but i couldn't ride anything "first" with him because she wanted to. It's getting ridiculous after all i do. She acts like a child. The reality is, she's been semi absent from his life and now she is insanely jealous that he prefers me over her. It almost seems like she purposely does this just to piss me off. I financially help her a lot as well, and am not at all appreciated- never have been. Has anyone been through this? if so, advice please?

He was nice and fatherly before they got married, and i believe it was all intentional. I have younger half siblings that are his, which makes this situation harder. He is the sole financial provider ans he treats my half siblings so bad, my mom bad at times, and me horribly all of the time. He is the most arrogant, self centered, narcissistic person I've ever met. But of course, it's now a financial thing for my mother to stay with him and the scare of sharing custody with the kids on her mind. My mom knew how awful he treated me and kind of turned a blind eye to it. Never physically abusive, and i believe it's because he knows he'd be out if he ever did. It's all emotional abuse, insults, yells at me for absolutely everything i do. We live in my great grandmas house, and i was here before him, and he acts as though i have no place here in an heirloom that as passed to me and my mom before she passed. I am so uncomfortable in my own house, and literally tip toe through my house at all times looking over my shoulder, because i am constantly getting yelled at when i step out of my room. I've expressed this to my mom, but I'm not a little kid anymore so she doesn't care about the affect and toll it's taking on my life. I could move out, but i feel like that would be the ultimate surrender, and wouldn't fix the problem for the rest. Please don't tell me I'm being selfish, because he is truly the way he is to me to my family too- with me it's just greatly amplified.

My mother died last year and my father's health and well being has declined. He was recently diagnosed as having seizures and so they have been times that he wakes up with scratches on this face and broken bones. The last time he fell, he woke up with a bump and scratch on his forehead and two broke vertebrae. Before that, he woke up with a broken zygote bone ( that bone underneath the eye). I am trying to be good daughter so if my father dies soon, I can say I was there form him. He wants me to give him 50 dollars cuz he has no money to eat. He was two children, I know my brother has helped him, but I feel like he is always calling me asking me for stuff. It really blows me when he calls and asks me for money. In the past after my mom's death, things have not always been the best between us. I do know my father loves me.

My ex and I share a 17-year-old son and we broke up about 9 years ago. I always try to avoid my son's father because he always says very rude things to me, whether it be on the phone or in person. Recently, we needed to get together to go to the DMV to sign something for my son's learner's permit. He right away started saying rude insults to me about just anything he could find, for example dieting. He just blurted out to me "how is that diet going?" or other rude things. I vowed I would never get together with him after that day. Why would an ex who broke up with you 9 years prior be continuing to insult? What would be the purpose of doing this? I told him before that in order to get along for our son that he needs to stop bashing me.
