Question: I love my best friend.? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 05:33 PM PDT My friend and I have been friends for years but i few months ago I started to develop feelings for him. We used to hangout all the time, do homework together, share personal things and stay up late talking everyday, and I always did so much for him. I told him that I liked him and he said he liked me too, but we both have different religions so he said marriage wouldn't work out for us, unless I changed my religion, but he is not forcing me to do that. He said the only way we could be together is if we were the same religion( so if I became Christian because he isn't willing to change his and I don't want or expect him to), but we decided maybe we can date in the future when we are older. We still decided to be friends like we always were. Now, he left to college in another state and he still calls and texts me. However, I cant get over him. I still keep on thinking about him all the time and cry a lot. I still love him a lot. He is my first love. Should I still try to be best friends with him like I said, take a break, or block him? But if he texts me I can never ignore him, but most of my friends say I should ignore him or else I will stay depressed and he is not even that depressed about it. I don't know if continuing our friendship is possible, but I want to make it work, but sometimes it is painful when I try. He was a good friend. Can I still be best friends with him? I want to move on in life and be happy, but is that possible if I'm still his best friend? |
Question: Best friend got a girlfriend? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 04:39 PM PDT My best friend recently came out as bi, and her and this other friend she has known for a while got together. I was so happy for her, I even encouraged her to ask her out, but now she spends all her time with her and we don't talk as much. She bases her life around her, and brings her up in every conversation we have. I feel like I'm losing my best friend. Things we used to do together, she now does with her and only her...? Another thing, before her girlfriend came along, I would ask her to do things with me and some of the things she would say no to because she thought they were boring or weird. Now when her girlfriend asks her to do them she is fine with it. I still feel like I can trust her enough to tell her things I wouldn't tell anyone else, and she feels like she can tell me everything too, but now I just feel like she wouldn't even care since her main focus is always on her girlfriend. I am jealous, I don't know what to do, and I feel guilty for even being jealous in the first place. Advice? |
Question: If we are both in relationships is it weird if we hang out at each other’s places? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 04:33 PM PDT I'm inviting one of my guy friends over to my place to catch up and hang out. We are both 23, and college students. I have a boyfriend and he has a girlfriend and personally, I don't find it weird if we just hang out as friends but what do you guys think? |
Question: When it's okay to bum touch? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 04:28 PM PDT What are some times and things that it's okay to bum touch? like when you're carrying someone over the shoulder and doing something physical? |
Question: How do you make friends in a new city after college? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 03:12 PM PDT So I graduated college, got a great job working for the state and I am financially comfortable. I moved to a city of about 300,000 and didn't know anyone. I've been here for 2 months and so far I'm finding it really difficult to make friends. I have tried going to a few meet ups, but so far that hasn't worked out great. I have never been good at being social, but I'm basically starting over in life. How do you go about making friends in a new city, and not just acquaintances, but really close friends that you can regularly hangout with? I feel so alone. |
Question: I’m scared I’m going to lose my best friend!? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 02:23 PM PDT I always felt that my friend was going to leave me but I don't want that to happen! Maybe I am thinking to much into it but still! Like it scares me a lot! I have gotten so much closer with my best friend in the past few months and it has been amazing. I have been there for her and she has been there for me! But this weekend was different! One of our other friends had to stay the WHOLE weekend with my best friend and she is the type of person to cling on and not let go of friends! Like if she feels like they are close, she won't ever let them be seperated! And that scares me bc I don't want to lose my best friend to her! Please help I don't know what to do and thinking about it makes me feel sick |
Question: How do I not be jealous of my friends? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 02:15 PM PDT One of my friends is like loved and admired by everyone and it's sometimes annoying. Like I wish I was her!!!!!!!! There's been so many times where my friends have picked her over me and her family is so fun and they are fun to be around while mine kick me outside. Like I just feel like I am unwanted when she is around. And especially this weekend bc our other friend is staying the whole weekend with her and now they are getting closer and I just want to cry thinking that I am not needed on wanted anyone!! Like she is MY best friend and I don't want to lose her |
Question: Why do people not wish to get to know their neighbors much or talk to them much? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 01:25 PM PDT is this true of most people? why? I have had neighbors for over 20 years that I barely even know what they look like or even know their names or how many people live in their home etc. am I a freak? I don't dislike them...I just don't like feeling uncomfortable every time I step outside my door and feeling like I must chat or do small talk with them and them get into my private life, etc. I would rather them think I am a crazy guy that has not any social ability , but who is quiet and keeps to himself and is safe to live next to etc than someone who they don't like and vice versa |
Question: My friend is overstaying her welcome!? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 01:20 PM PDT I have recently started college and so far it's been okay....well almost okay. So I live in a two room connected dorm, so myself and three other girls share a bathroom. I know all three girls so i'm cool with it so sharing isn't the issue. All three girls are my friends from HS, but the problem is I have FOUR friends at my college who went to high school with me. So my fourth friend stays in another dorm with three other girls she just met. The issue is that she doesn't want to get to know the other girls and practically LIVES IN MY ROOM. My roomate, we'll call her A, is also her friend and doesnt seem to care, but I do because my fourth friend, we'll call her M, associates me as her BFF. I hate the word BFF because i hang out with all my friends equally and using a word like that can hurt a large group of friends. So she camps out in my room until it's time to sleep, has put some of her drinks in my small *** fridge, and even slept in here once. You would think this would be any friends wet dream (you stay with your friends/not strangers/a lot of fun) and it would be if my friends wasn't such an asshole/a snarky *****. She is very insecure and wants me to go everywhere and do everything with/for her and i cant do that **** cause i gotta take care of myself first. Anyway....its not that i DON'T like having her around its just that i need a break from her general assholery for at least a few hours every day. What should i do because if i tell her this she'll think i hate her. |
Question: Are they trying to get me to flirt with her? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 10:33 AM PDT I met an older girl because she started laughing loudly and at great length at my joke then asked me to repeat it to her. She smiled the whole time I was talking and waited to giggle with her friend and jump scare me and she looked me in the eyes and smiled. She started laughing stuff I say to other people, asking me to repeat stuff to her or respond. She finds any way to start a conversation with me and talk to me she makes a conversation out of anything but she has a hard time approaching me or initiating conversation. Her friend asks me to repeat jokes to her tell her stories. Asked me to run after the girl. Her friend asks me to be around them but the girl seems to have an issue but she still wanted to talk to me. When they took turns taking selfies next to me she asked me to get closer to her then after that I could only be next to her in our selfies. I told her friend that I'm not big on selfies and she says "Me and Rebecca will have to do something about it". Out of nowhere her friend came and got me for a selfie with me sitting next to the girl This was the only time the girl wore something that showed cleavage and from her friend coming and getting me the girl blushed but asked me to get closer as usual. Her friend recorded me when I did the jump scare back. Her friend helps her approach me because she approaches me with her. She does the stuff young girls do when flirting. She gets red while talking to me smiles and almost hides her face avoiding eye contact. |
Question: Should i revenge on people who bullied me? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 09:54 AM PDT Im moving to a new school now but what they did to me was painful. They were jerk to me. I dealt with that already but in the future when i am up ( i know i will be ) i should shut them out when they try to hung up on me. but should i add humiliation to this or not? They should feel the pain too or i should treat the the way they treated me? |
Question: Would I get fired from my job if I did this? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 09:50 AM PDT Where I work the company owner, my boss brought in his new wife and introduced her to us employees. Our boss John is in his 50s and his new wife is in her early 20s, my age. A few days later he ask me if I thought his wife was cute. I said, "I had not give it much thought but yes she is cute". It became known at the office that John was very jealous of his wife with other men. One day John ask me if I would like to "fool around with his wife". Wanting to not get involved with his personal life and wanting to keep my job I said "I would not fool around with any man's wife". He said "then you are the person to train my wife to use the company's computer system so she can help me with the business. I did not want to do that but I had no choice to do it if I wanted to keep my job. I did train her but it took a long time. After the training she told me "I owe you big time. Please let me take you to lunch to say thank you for being patient with me during the training". I told her I could only do that if her husband John came with us. She said he is very busy and probably could not find the time to join us for lunch. I told her a thank you lunch was not necessary. My thoughts were that a lunch with her without him would put my job on the line. Do you think I made the right decision about this or was I worried for nothing? |
Question: Is it okay to text someone that I miss talking to them? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 09:37 AM PDT I have a friend I used to talk to all of the time, mostly over FaceTime and text. Now I rarely talk to them. I did the other day but it was just small talk. Is it weird if I text them saying how I miss talking to them?? |

Question: What does it mean when a friend takes 10 days to reply? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 09:05 AM PDT but once she replied, she said that she was sorry , she has lot of things to do and totally forgot about my text.. But I saw her earlier posting things on FB |
Question: Everyone makes fun of me in high school...? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 08:50 AM PDT Everything was fine when I entered. I had a good group of friends and I merged with the other half well( my town had 2 middle schools) . I made friends with a lot of the new people and I was doing pretty well. Then I started to like this guy and a "friend" went and told everyone. He and his friends were complete assholes to me and made fun of me all the time. That continued into sophomore year and in sophomore year my friends would become closer to all those people. They would all make fun of me for things like being vegetarian by choice and being shy. They used to be my friends and I guess they still are, it's a weird situation. It makes me really self-conscious even though I know I haven't done anything wrong. Like I still have those friends but they don't stand up for me, they just kinda laugh at it. Lately, everyone knows that everyone bullies me and that's turned into a joke itself. At parties that I am not at, they make fun of me. Boys start talking to me on dares just to see who can be friends with me first. People take pity on me and ask me to hangout with them and one of the first times it happened, I decided to go to give it a try and try and be friends with them, and they started laughing at me and it made me feel so bad about myself. At parties, they used to laugh at me and throw things at me. The problem I have is that I have no idea what I have done. I don't stand out in any way, in fact I try to avoid seeing them at all just because it gives me so much anxiety. |

Question: Why do hot girls hate me? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 08:12 AM PDT I will give details about me just to be specific. I'm a 24 year old man who lives a quiet life. I have a some good friends, popular/friendly with everyone and no quarrels recently so to speak. I go to work from 8 AM-2 PM and after that I just go home and just chill for most of the time. I'm honest, hardworking, loyal and above all quiet/laidback. What's the problem? |
Question: Should i do this? I need your help please!!? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 06:16 AM PDT My old group of friends fell apart last year of school. The new school year just started and we are one week in, should I take the leap and sit with a new group of friends? Im scared It will be awkward. I am friends with all of the people, but only close to one. PS. I really want to sit with them but the main thing holding me back is that I have been sitting alone with one other friend from my old group of friends, if I sat with the new group i would kinda be ditching her. She cannot sit with the new group of friends because they dont like her. Update: Im a senior in highschool btw |
Posted: 26 Aug 2018 06:14 AM PDT Alright, I'm 14 and I really want to do things such as going to the mall or the movies, but the problem is that I can't. Every now and then on the weekends, I'll ask my mom if she can take me to do something but she turns me down because I don't have have any friends meaning that she doesn't allow me to go places such as the mall because I don't have any friends to go with. I've told her that I shouldn't have to have friends to do things that I enjoy. Due to this, im always extremely bored. When I'm not in school, I'm on my phone or I'm doing school work. So the question I'm asking is, how can I convince her to let me do things that I like. *sorry if this isn't clear* |
Question: Why is friendship such a waste of time? Posted: 26 Aug 2018 12:13 AM PDT Whenever I make friends all they always talk about their significant other and StarBuck's. I've had to tell multiple people that I died from Ligma and then burn down the school, watch everyone burn, dye my hair, change my name, and move to another country...it's so much work... |
Question: Getting a friend to pay back a personal loan? Posted: 25 Aug 2018 11:21 PM PDT My friend asked me for $300 to pay her rent. I gave it to her because i know times are tough and i was trying to be nice. she said she would have it back to me by the end of the week (yesterday) and i wouldnt be so upset about not having it if i didnt have a tire go bad on my own vehicle so i could kind of use my money back. and she has also went on a trip this weekend which REALLY has not set well with me since she "has no money." any advice on how to ask for it back politely? btw never again will i do anything like this lol |

Question: What does this woman think of me? Posted: 25 Aug 2018 09:13 PM PDT So this woman whom I went to college with and I are friends on Facebook. We will message on Facebook ocassionally. Even though she thinks I'm weird and a nuisance, she's never blocked me. She also knows I find her physically attractive. She doesn't seem interested in hanging out with me in person. |
Question: What is wrong with people my age? why are all my friends unemployed? Posted: 25 Aug 2018 08:27 PM PDT Aight. I'm 21 y.o, (will be 22 in couple of months). I've so far worked in constructions, as a cameraman, in agriculture and currently I'm working in a factory. HOWEVER, almost every single person I went to high school with is unemployed and refuse to work. Even my best friend. I can't believe it, honestly. I offered my friends easy and braindead jobs and they still refused. I could get my best friend a job as a doorman, he'd have a very good salary, and he almost had to do nothing but fill out a few papers each day and take a couple of walks...I don't get it. How can people just sit on their buts at home all day, do nothing and be okay with it.? |
Question: Should I go buy a bottle of Faygo? Posted: 25 Aug 2018 07:45 PM PDT So, it's currently 9:42 PM. My parents are both asleep. I really want Faygo, but there's none at the house. Luckily for me, there's a store that sells it really close to my house. Close as in I can see it from my window, but it's across a highway. Should I go buy some? Extra notes: I know karate, so if anyone tried to do any risky **** I could totally kick their ***. I'm a 14-year-old girl. I REALLY want to do this, but at the same time I'm terrified. What do you think? |
Question: My Friend Is Childish? Posted: 25 Aug 2018 07:25 PM PDT okay so every time i don't answer my friends texts (usually within 5 minutes) she will text my mom asking her to tell me to text her back. which is a problem on its own. but today my sister and i had plans to go to the mall and i told my friend i couldn't hang out bc of this. since my mom and her were already talking my mom asked if she was going with us. she said "no because she didn't invite me." which is very childish in my opinion. i think if she wasn't upset about not being invited she would have just said no, but she intentionally told my mom i didn't invite her. she never invites me to her plans when i ask her to hang out and she's busy, which i'm fine with. so my mom told me to invite her so i politely did. she said no and "i'm 17 i don't need to tell on you" which obviously she does if she can't just ask me if she can come herself? anyway, every time we have a problem it's impossible to try to talk things out or solve them without her just shutting me down because she's so childish and stubborn. i don't want to stop talking to her because she's been my best friend since we were children. can someone please give me advice on how to 1) ask her to stop texting my mom literally every time i don't answer her text right away, and 2) how to get her to handle problems more maturely and to not shut me down when we talk about stuff. :( |

Question: My friends want to go out, I want to go with them but I feel like I can’t move? Posted: 25 Aug 2018 06:36 PM PDT Two of my friends have a birthday today. I spent all day with one drinking to celebrate. I overate and drank to the point where I feel too sick to move. Now my other friend who's also celebrating her birthday wants to go out. She and her group go friends rarely invite me out with them so I kind of really want to go, but I'm also in a lot of pain. I've probably gone back and forth several times with them debating whether or not to go. I just don't know what to do. |
