Question: Is this a compliment or an insult? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 05:51 PM PDT I am the only girl in my High School AP Physics class. My classmates are my friends and we like to gather at my home and jointly do on our homework. It is a very hard class with lots of homework. Some of the problems we have a hard time solving. One of my classmates said let's ask you mom Jill for help. He did and mom instantly came up with the answer. They did this several times and mom always came up with the answer. This was amazing to my classmates. One of them said to me "How is it possible that your mom is so beautiful and so smart? That does not compute". Is that a compliment for my mom or an insult to all women? YOUR OPINION PLEASE. |
Question: I have confidence problems?????? Help? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 05:37 PM PDT My name is jeremy and I'm 22 years old, all through elementary, and some of high school I was a big looser. I had no friends, I was fat, I had braces and some people would call me a looser. But now I'm fit and I'm doing way better in life, but I still have confidence problems. I get scared when I run into people from school because I automatically think they are judging me or still think I'm a loser. I get scared people are gonna say "that guy was a big loser back in high school." How do I get over this feeling ???????? Any advice??????? |
Question: I actually don’t have any friends? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 05:14 PM PDT I'm about to be a senior once school starts and I have no friends. I had these 2 friends, but every time I would text one of them she would actually leave me on read for days then reply with a stupid reply and it pissed me off, so I stopped texting her. And the other friend she replies back fairly fast but only replies with emojis. I could tell her how I would feel about something and she would send emojis. I stopped texting both of them about a couple weeks ago. Every time I would try to hang out with them they would literally straight up say "no" then say we never hang out. I feel like I'm in elementary school where you make friends and then you don't see them for 2-3 months straight once summer starts. Well schools about to start in a couple of weeks and I haven't talked to them and they're my only friends and I suck at making friends so idk what to do. I know some people might say get off yahoo and ask them yourselves but I tried and they do the same thing I said at top. How should I go about making new friends if I'm probably gonna run into them? I don't rely on texting it's just that when I ask whether or not they wanna hang out and do something they say no every single time. So what else can I do? Sometimes i question if they even like me because they'll straight up say no to my face, but not to each other. |
Question: I never got over her?????? Any help? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 04:42 PM PDT I met a girl in the summer of 2013 at school and we became bestfriends from the start. She meant alot to me, she knew everything about me even my deep secrets and she never judged me. Even when she was dealing with her own problems, she was always there to help me. But sadly last year in spring we got into a big argument, and she told me to leave her alone. Later she blocked me from all her social medias, I eventually sent her 2 long letters to her house to apologize but I had a police officer come to my house and asked me to leave her alone. It's been over a year but deep down I still miss her, this has changed me as a person. This has been making me depressed, can I have some advice please ?????? :( I'm a 22 year old guy!!!!!! Spring of 2017 |
Posted: 22 Aug 2018 04:39 PM PDT My friend got pissed off over a woman who he liked that shunned & rejected him on Facebook and in person and he is feeling angered and resentful over not being close friends with this woman, however he wishes she could go to Heaven so he can have a super close relationship with her and do the things he's always wanted to do with her and her friends on Earth in Heaven, he has referred to her as a bunch of obscenities while expressing himself to me over this girl. I've told my friend that he should just forget about this woman and focus on those who do appreciate him. |
Question: Anyone give me any advice? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 04:19 PM PDT I have had the same friends since primary school, have been close with them ever since but recently it seems like they're treating me as an afterthought for example, as I start to talk they all ignore or interrupt me, seem aggravated when I ask them a question and act as if am someone unwanted. Other times they can be absolutely fine. I'm so confused I could be overreacting but I'm pretty sure they just treat me as if I'm there rather than as their friends?? |
Question: Need opinions. Does this guy like me? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 03:22 PM PDT He texts back pretty quickly and usually in paragraphs. When I finally came up to talk to him before our walk through a parade I tried explaining who I was (because we work together in a big community hard to explain lol) and he said I know. I also noticed he would look over at me a few times. He also agrees with me on things a lot. So didn't know if this was a friend thing or a I like you thing. |
Question: What is a witty thing to say to someone who rudely assumes my age? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 01:37 PM PDT I'm 25 and hosted a baby shower for a friend's extended family. The mother of the mother-to-be rudely asked me if I was 13 after the shower was over. "You just don't look like an adult. Are you sure your old enough to hear this conversation?" (That being that she was talking about how she conceived her daughter who is my age btw.) She's already asked about me once to a friend after the shower, referring to me as her little 13 year old friend. What's a witty thing to say next time I see her after the delivery? I want something to shut her up since she clearly has no manners. |
Question: Do you ever feel like you have a face people hate? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 12:29 PM PDT I'm not trying to be mean or funny; it's the truth. I used to be cute when I was younger, but not anymore. I realize now that most people want nothing to do w/ me. It's futile to even try to win them over w/ my personality. Believe me—I tried for many years! Until I realized: many people already decide that they don't like me on sight! It's not new. People judge others based on appearance. It's just life. Thoughts? Experiences? |
Question: How do you not feel trapped in a friendship? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 12:27 PM PDT Ok so my best friends tell me that we'll be best friends forever but I don't want that anymore because they can be rude sometimes and I feel trapped in both of the friendships with them so how do I not feel trapped anymore? It's like I feel forced to be their friend |

Question: How to be happy alone? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 10:31 AM PDT Everyone I know including family has stabbed my back. I cant find anyone who understands me. Only thing i cope with is talking to online friends but its not the same.. I really have no one |
Question: What does this mean? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 10:24 AM PDT Hey guys, someone wrote "Mike Hunt" in my little sisters yearbook, apparently he thought it was funny. Can you tell me what this means? I'm lost but I know it's extremely rude and mean. |
Question: Poll: Do you feel more bitter or sweet when you think about the past? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 09:53 AM PDT I'm 21 and I find that I have a habit of reminiscing about the past very regularly. I wonder how much there'll be to reminisce about when I turn 50 or even 60 or 70. |
Question: I'm 14 so why do people think I'm an adult? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 09:33 AM PDT It's getting kinda annoying now. Yesterday I was going to do parasailing and the lady at the desk asked me "are you under 16?" But the said "nooo" before I could answer. And on holiday in spain the guy who runs the speedboat kept calling me 'lady' also I always get those people in streets trying to hand me those stupid advertisement things which have no use to a young teen like me. My family says I look my age and I think I do to?? I don't really have boobs yet and im slim but maybe its because I'm kinda tall? Like I'm as tall as most boys my age. Anyway it makes me really mad to think others people think I look like a cruddy old adult it's getting me down |
Posted: 22 Aug 2018 07:24 AM PDT Telling friends about it probably because the girl cannot fight her own battles Let's say the girl told him her feelings while MAKING A SCENE in a public place WITH HER FAMILY MEMBERS watching. The girl told the guy they are going to meetup with common friends but when the guy arrived, instead of meetup with friends, the girl deceived the guy by ranting and humiliating the guy with her family members around them in the end. There was no cheating involved at all. More like the guy just did not see her as someone he can love. Or probably backed out before becoming official couples. |

Question: What did I do to deserve this? Posted: 22 Aug 2018 05:49 AM PDT I have been friends with someone for 10 years. Her husband has a long term illness which at times has meant they have needed help with getting their son to school and other errands when their car has broken down etc. I have always helped them out and been glad to do so. Recently, her husband has been put under pressure by his work place. The solution was for me to help out with travel occasionally, which I did, but from the outset I confirmed to him and his employers that there would be times I was working away. Fast towards a few weeks and my house suffered a small fire (nothing too serious but it caused damage which needs plenty of time investing to repair). I got a text from my friends husband shortly after saying he knew it was probably the last thing I wanted to think about but he needed a lift to work. That week I was away and explained that he would have to make other arrangements. After this, he was put under some pressure from his employer which led him and my friend to be rather curt with me when we interacted after that. I had done my bit and always gone out of my way to travel to their house out of my way (even though my friend/his wife was also working nearby but made the excuse of having to leave the office on time each day to pick up their son so she couldn't drive her husband). I am now on the receiving end of her hostility when I know I've done nothing but help and gotten very little in return. anyone explain why people do this? I really don't understand! |

Question: Why did he easily agree to break up? Posted: 21 Aug 2018 10:00 PM PDT Last week I went to the gym and told my bf. Usually I'd say I'm done with the gym but I didn't this ime and he was the one who texted me 3 hours later saying he was going to the library(where I go everyday) he was pretty cold then I discovered he got jealous and was wondering why I didn't ask him to come to the gym. So on friday I was going to the gym and told him he said ok baby I'm working have a good workout and kiss. I got upset and said alright thanks. Then unlike him he said alright? Thanks?. I said yeah when I don't ask you you get upset when I do you don't come. He said you know I have a job and if I can't come there's a reason. I said ok which is why I didn't ask you last time. He was like ok you won. I said what's with the attitude s d he said it was coming from my lack of effort to his kids and response. He's usually not aggressive or looking for a fight. Anyway I was like I'm done with this attitude of yours, I don't know where all this is coming from. He said there's no attitude. If you're done ok. I wish you the best. I said okay likewise and he sent a thumbs up. He usually doesn't fight with me or anything but the pay week I was sensing aggression. He even had bought me a 1000 dollar purse that week too. This was on a Friday. Is it strange how easily it ended and I haven't heard from him? He Was supposed to drive me to the airport, I left MondayHe got weird the first time I didn't invite him because he got suspicious that I was with the trainer like last time. |
Question: Charm has a motive. True or False? Posted: 21 Aug 2018 08:42 PM PDT |
Question: Venting my problems? Posted: 21 Aug 2018 08:03 PM PDT I dont really talk to anyone about my emotions. My parents got dicorced when i was really young. I was a really social kid but not as much as ive grown older. I met a girl when I was 13. She made me so happy and it felt so great having a deep connection. I quit public school and got homeschooled to see her more which turned into spending almost every day together. Since being homeschooled all of my other friends quit talking to me. She was my only/best friend for almost 4 years. We stopped talking last year. im 17 now. After we broke up I was so lonely and depressed since I have literally no friends only aquantances. Ive been so bored for so long. its so lonely without a close friend. I have bad anxiety and depression so its really hard to go out and make friends, when I do people can tell that im sad. I dont want to make friends just because people feel bad for me. I only talk to one person outside of my family. We talk very rarely though. Life seems to have gone by so fast when i think about the past. I just feel so stuck in my own head. Im almost 18 and have nobody. There's billions of people on this planet but i barely have one friend .-. I feel like i wont ever be able to connect with anyone sometimes. I just hope things will get better. It doesnt matter if anyone reads this. it just feels nice getting this off my chest. |

Question: Why is it so hard for some people to just be nice? Posted: 21 Aug 2018 02:39 PM PDT I'm getting sick of dealing with absolute twatwaffles who want to insult me and cuss at me for no reason other than just feeling like they have a right to. How is it even enjoyable to be like that to someone you don't know? Just rip someone apart and then shrug it off when they back away from you or get defensive if they dont let you get away with it. How is that worth anything? How is that better than just being at the least a decent human and leaving people alone? |
