Question: Street sweeping day and school bus can't pass. Who has to move their car? Posted: 30 Aug 2018 07:40 AM PDT It was street cleaning day and I had double parked my car (on the right side of the road), and once the sweeper left, I parked my car back on the other side (the left side of the road). Unfortunately, there was a school bus that couldn't pass through the road because there was still a car doubled parked ahead of me, on the right. And I couldn't move my car forward because there was another car parked in front of me. In this scenario, who is at fault and who has to move their car? Should the double parked guy move his car or should I have left from my parking spot? The cleaning time is from 8:30 to 10:30 am. I moved my car at approximately about 10:10 am. |
Question: What to do with husband's dog now that his mom has passed? Posted: 30 Aug 2018 06:19 AM PDT My husband's mother unexpectedly passed away this weekend. My husband's dog that he's had for about 10 years lived with her since he and I have moved in together. Now, he is the only one who can take the dog with is a very sore spot in our marriage. My cons: 1. The dog is old and sick. He's got tumors, going blind and frequent infections. We can't really afford the vet bills to care for him. 2. We have a 1 year old baby and the dog is getting snippy in his age. 3. We've just bought out first home and have spent thousands of dollars in renovations, including new carpet and rugs. 4. My husband has never been good about contributing to housework like sweeping, mopping or cleaning up messes and I cannot take on more of that with a dog. My pros: 1. My older son would love to have a dog. 2. The alternative is that the dog gets put down, which my husband cannot handle right now and I don't want him to have to go through that in his grieving. Though the dog probably should have been put out of his pain already. I'm torn because I know how much the dog means to my husband and he is in a fragile state right now but I absolutely do not like dogs and I know the responsibility of taking him will be on me. |
Posted: 29 Aug 2018 08:05 PM PDT im 15 and my dad is extremely abusive. he physically, emotionally, and sexuallly abuses my mom. whenever she threatens to leave he says he'll kill himself, so she stays. he sexually abuses me and hits me, and he most likely does the same to my 6 siblings. he began to force me to have intercourse with him when I was 12 and told my family that I was bisexual (he's highly religious and believes that being gay is bad, and thinks that if he punishes me I won't be attracted to females anymore) . last night my parents were fighting and my dad said that he's gonna blow all of our brains out. this completely terrifies me because my dad has guns and im scared that he's going to hurt my family. his abuse has made me have constant thoughts about taking my own life and made me attempt to take it once. basically my question is, how can i get help for my family? my siblings deserve so much better. |
