Question: My best friend is leaving me? Posted: 16 Aug 2018 04:36 PM PDT So the first year of college was hard for me, because I didn't make many friends and all my friends from hughschool left me. Anyway, he's going to another college now and he really helped me a lot this year. We at lunch together, laughed, hung out etc. now I'm depressed he's leaving, it just won't be the same without him. Any thoughts? |

Question: Is my friend normal to fight and cut me off over a past mistake that I did? Posted: 16 Aug 2018 01:59 PM PDT I made a sarcastic comment about him. He seemed angry but he did nothing back then. Now out of nowhere after more than two weeks he brought it up and fought about it and cut me off. Is that normal !!! |
Posted: 16 Aug 2018 12:35 PM PDT so i have this friend that always "jokes around" with me. sometimes i can tell that they are joking but sometimes i question it and i'll go home and cry. what is a big indicator that these jokes are meant to hurt me? |

Question: Can I just tell him I've changed my mind about sex? Posted: 16 Aug 2018 11:50 AM PDT There's this guy that I want to be friends with he's someone I met at a store where he works. I really want us to be friends. But I asked him if he wanted to be friends with benefits. I sent him sexy pictures any way now I don't know if I should have done it. Because I don't want to ruin the chance of us having a friendship. Whenever I see him at the store we smile at each other. Sometimes I can't even speak it's kind of overwhelming. |

Question: Should I end this friendship and how do I end it politely? Posted: 16 Aug 2018 07:15 AM PDT We have been friends for over a year, he started the friendship with me but I think there are some problems. There will be no contact unless I instigate contact either text, email or talking in person. I always plan the hangouts and am always the one to make the suggestion and when we do hangout it is very brief and he always seems to be in a rush to get home. He will make time for other friends but tell me he never plans anything and everything he does is spontaneous and when I am spontaneous he tells me he is busy. Last week was his birthday and 3 days before I asked if he wanted to and out for the day and he said yes so I messaged him on his birthday and got no response until 5 days later when I found out he spent the day with other friends because it was a spur of the moment thing when they asked him that day. I hope I am not overreacting, I know the world doesn't revolve around me but I can't help feel a bit pushed aside. I have minor social anxiety and it is hard for me to make friends so without this friendship I will have no one else. (I am not overreacting here) What should I do? |
Question: Going to college with someone i hate? Posted: 16 Aug 2018 06:51 AM PDT in about a month i'll be going to college and someone i had a huge falling out with in secondary school is also going to the same college. we live quite close to each other so we'll be getting on the same bus there and i just don't know how to deal with her. we're not doing the same courses luckily so i assume we won't be in on all the same days but i'll still have to see her sometimes and, honestly, i just want her out of my life completely. she is such a horrible and manipulative person and i never ever want to have to come into contact with her but i know i'll have to. i already have awful anxiety so the thought of having to see her again makes everything worse. has anyone got any advice? i don't know what i can do to move on with my life, i just want a fresh start from secondary school but i don't think i'll be able to with her there. |

Posted: 15 Aug 2018 11:37 PM PDT My mum offered her friend for us to look after her daughter. Her daughter is a few months younger than me but she is Czech. I am half Czech and trying my best to learn it. However with spending all day today and her sleeping over its going to be awkward and i will probs run out of things to say. ANY TIPS/IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO? |
Question: Are there any writing chat rooms on the internet? Posted: 15 Aug 2018 11:13 PM PDT Where you and a stranger are paired together to co-write stories? Or is there a penpal service that functions the same way? I would like to start writing much more frequently and it'd be nice to do it with a friend. |

Question: My friends are all pretty bad friends? Posted: 15 Aug 2018 08:19 PM PDT ex: reminding them its my birthday, making really annoying jokes that they know are annoying just to get me a little mad and too lazy to do anything in real life. I still like to hang out with them and I like their humour but they slow me down :( |
Question: What is the best way to start a friendship? Posted: 15 Aug 2018 07:43 PM PDT What is the best way to make friends? Although this is so simple to most I just don't really know. I'm in high school and the first day is always the beginning to long lasting friendships, I'm pretty much a serious person and I'm not good at smiling since I often do it. Many people that try to talk to me are very annoying and weren't interesting which makes it even difficult. I do laugh, please don't think of me as a goth or anything because I'm really not I just can't express so much excitement when it comes to new people, I expect to be annoyed quickly. How do you meet people and what do you recommend? |
Question: My "friend" is extremely stingy? Posted: 15 Aug 2018 07:19 PM PDT My best friend and I have known each other for forty years, and went to grade school and college together. He became a stockbroker and now owns four houses and is worth around $7 million. I own a convenience store, which makes me about $2,000 a month, and I have three children. From time to time I ask my friend for a little change, only when I'm greatly in need, and always with an apology and gratitude. Little things like my power bill or my children's dental fees. I only ask when I have no other choice. My friend has always obliged me, but he's been getting mean about it. Recently I went house-hunting because my apartment is in a bad area of town and now that my kids are older, they're starting to notice. I found a three-bedroom home way out in the suburbs for $500,000. After talking to the bank, I found out I'd need to make a down payment of $100,000 (20 per cent). All I've been able to save up over the years, with great effort, is $22,000. I asked my friend if he could give me the rest ($78,000) and he completely blew up at me for the first time. He called me a leech, a bum, and a deadbeat, and told me to never ask him for money again. I was so mad I cursed him out and haven't talked to him since. I mean seriously? I know $78,000 is a lot of money, but he literally has 50 times that much in the bank. He lives in a $1.2 million home and drives a Lamborghini and he can't help me buy a safe house for my children?! |
Question: How long does it take to get used to a new name? Posted: 15 Aug 2018 06:10 PM PDT So I am going to college soon and I wonder how long on average do people get used to a new first name. I am having a nickname that is American and throughout my whole life, I have gone by a Chinese name. Does it feel awkward at first for going by a new name? |
