Posted: 11 Aug 2018 07:20 PM PDT Recently, my husband and I both agreed to allow our kids to watch the Teletubbies since we both grew up watching that stuff, and we thought it would be nice to let our kids experience that stuff too. My husband would normally sit with our kids and watch the Teletubbies with them while they were waiting for breakfast. However, recently things got out of control when my husband became obsessed with the Teletubbies. Every morning, he would refuse to go to work until he has finished the episode. My husband is the only driver in the family, which means he has to drive the kids to school and then drive me to work before he goes to his job. The school has contacted Child Services after our kids have been arriving late every day simply because my husband was busy watching the Teletubbies. A social worker is talking about having our children removed from us until my husband gets seek professional help for 'mentally unfit' to take responsibility for our kids. |
Question: Why some couples hide money from each other? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 06:20 PM PDT Like my uncle and his wife both work and they hide their money from each other for some reason. Usually, the husband and wife make money to buy house and stuff, but this seems weird. |

Posted: 11 Aug 2018 03:30 PM PDT We were together almost 17 years before we married. I don't know why or what happened but since being married all we do is argue over stupid stuff. Now she moved out and in with her mother. She blocked me from calling, texting and emailing. So I guess she's through with even trying. She blames me for everything no matter what it is. This is my first and only marriage and I always said I was out getting married once. I don't understand at all what I've done so wrong. I'm a good person. I have never cheated on her ever and she did years ago. I don't belittle her or even raise my voice. She is on anxiety meds and depression meds. She tells me she doesn't even need those when she's away from me. What should I do? Give up? It's really hard to go to work and act like nothing's wrong. Just need some advice on what I should do. By the way she moved out July 30th. We have talked and seen each other everyday since. And of course it turns into an argument and she leaves. She says oh I'd be home if you just did this or did that. No matter what I do it's never good enough. Marriage has like made her crazy or something. We have no kids only animals. Thank God for that. I know this is long and could be alot longer but I'll see what you all have to say. Thanks for your time. |
Posted: 11 Aug 2018 02:55 PM PDT you see so many posts on yahoo from wives complaining how their husbands cheated on them. where do these ugly old fat married men keep finding these young girls ready to sleep with them? and yet there are so many posts from available young single men lamenting how they can't find a girlfriend? why would girls go for the ugly old married men when they could have a young available single guy? it makes no sense. |
Posted: 11 Aug 2018 02:07 PM PDT I just feel I lost out and he will see after all this time I have nothing to show for it. It really broke me when he left me and got married to someone else. I've deactivated social media for months and I go on and off it frequently. I reactivated Instagram now but I have to wait for a week until I can deactivate it and it's giving me anxiety. I just remember about the time when we broke up...my Instagram wasn't lookinh filled as if I was happy. Maybe he also interpreted that the break up affected me. I didn't chase after him but I still feel broken and think he mist have known I was affected when he broke up and got married. I know he isn't stalking me or anything. It's just a fear. Maybe my ego. How can I deal with this? |
Question: Marriage vs de facto? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 12:39 PM PDT What are the major differences in terms of relationship dynamics? I feel like if you are just dating someone, then it's ok to always take vacations by yourself. But once you move in together or get married, then you have to take your partner into consideration. My values align with both joint and separate vacation time. Making time to holiday together and then making sure your partner is ok with you doing some solo travel. Unfortunately my wife prefers to holiday alone for a month almost every year. We have been together for 9 years and in the beginning we talked about travelling Europe but in 9 years we haven't travelled abroad together. Even now with time off work and study coming up in November, my wife has decided it's time to travel next month to a country we had discussed going together...I now very strongly believe that if i want to travel, I'll have to do it alone. I'm at odds to her because if I were in her shoes, I would plan to go to Tibet next year in September (more suitable month than November) and made plans to travel somewhere else in November. I can book time off 12 months from now but this year is almost fully booked out plus I have my studies. One more thing, I have made plans to travel with her in the past and Sheather ignored them or made plans to travel alone just before my holiday times. The she will say that she doesn't want to travel again so soon after taking her own trip. So I'm forced to go without travelling with her. I'm starting to feel like we are just boyfriend and girlfriend. If she was living separate to me and we were onl y just starting to date, then I might consider it normal to travel separately on a regular basis. But we are married with a 4 month old baby I don't think it's fair on my parents to take care of our son whilst she goes off alone to travel. I'm actually confused with her. Because we have pleasant times but then she will get angry easily and become verbally and physically abusive. Punching and calling idiot, stupid, loser, useless etc. Police were involved Beca use she bit her mother and smashed up plates etc in the kitchen. Luckily my son was in the bedroom with me. Social work have been involved. She even threw a cup at the hospital wall 3 days after giving birth. It was an argument with her mum. I wheeled our son out of the room Now I'm only concerned with my son's welfare because my mother explained what it was like growing up with violence. Her father was abusive and it made a nervous wreck out of her. I don't want that for my son. So even if things seem good, I still remind myself of the unhealthy outbursts from her. I was asking to understand how I can grow from my experiences and adjust to having something more enjoyable in my life. I've also ground down most of my teeth in my sleep :( |

Question: Has anyone with sole legal custody been successful with being allowed to move to Canada? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 09:20 AM PDT I have sole legal and physical custody of my kids due to the father's refusal to participate and also his substance abuse problems. The court order allows for two overnights with my ex per month. Other than that, there is no other scheduled parenting time. I am interested in moving to Canada for a job offer I have received. Since we live very close to the border, this would not affect the two overnights per month. It would still be easily scheduled since I plan to stay within easy driving distance (within an hour or two away from where I am now). Has anyone had a similar situation or known anyone with a similar situation? |

Question: Friend gets me (not his wife) to help him with online banking to buy a property: why? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 03:43 AM PDT One of my good friends is mostly blind, so he needs help with routine things every now and then. He's married and has a highly capable wife. My friend is buying an investment property, and he needed help with online banking to handle the payment. He called me yesterday, and I helped him do it. It was a tight deadline for the payment, and I figured that he called me because his wife wasn't there, or perhaps because he was buying the property without telling his wife. However, in the middle of the conversation, his wife WAS there, and she helped him get some bank information and give it to me. WTF? Why would a husband get his friend to help with online banking when his wife is right there? I deleted all info that I obtained about his online banking, but he gave me full account access and I saw their account balances and the like. Is this not totally weird? Why would his wife allow that? |
