Posted: 29 Aug 2018 09:35 AM PDT Why do some family suck? So, I got a car last week that I had worked hard for. I needed this car also so I can take my daughter to her doctors appointments. She has kidney disease so we have to travel pretty far to get to her appointments. I posted a picture on Instagram of myself, my daughter and our new car saying "hard work pays off" my cousin texted me saying she was happy she didn't donate to my daughter's fundraiser because she knew I'd spend the money on myself. I expected her to say this but was upset. For one she knew that my aunt ( from my Mom's side) did the fundraiser . My aunt did it because she wanted too she knows that my daughter's medications are expensive etc. I got about 800 from That fundraiser which helped a lot for my daughter's test strips and medication. But I didn't use any of that money for the car at all. I work hard being a single parent (my fiancé passed away) is tough, especially going to college full time. It hurts to know that my father's family Think less of me. While they get all the help and have their partner. |

Question: Worried about my brothers health. my dad buys them pizza almost everyday? Posted: 29 Aug 2018 08:33 AM PDT they are 18 and 22, working, and old enough to buy their own food, but he still takes it upon himself to buy them gigantic size pizzas almost everyday. I told him that's not healthy. every one in a while, but they're eating large pizzas 5-6 times a day. He said he is on a budget and can't afford to buy fancy food. I buy groceries and cook nutritional food but they won't eat what I make but maybe they'll listen to my dad if he stops buying it. I mean.. if he doesn't buy it they won't eat it. lord knows they'll never pay for their own food. my 22 year brother is trying to buy a house right now so I know he definitely wont |

Posted: 28 Aug 2018 07:58 PM PDT At this point, her middle school is trying to find out what's best for her once she ends up in high school. My daughter has a bit of social anxiety and struggles with making friends. I don't know how she will handle being in the classroom - even if it's just visiting for two hours. Her school just wants to see how well she will handle it in a more mature environment - since she will likely not be with other freshmen next year. They estimate that academically, my daughter should be at these older students' level.. but socially, she is way below her 13 year old peers. |
Posted: 28 Aug 2018 07:40 PM PDT My daughter purposely made the dog bark by bothering it a few times. She thinks it's just for fun, but other neighbors complain that the barking disrupts quality time and naps (or the constant noise will just be annoying in general). I have seen her stomp her feet or run at full speed just to see the thrill of an angry dog. |
Question: How can I stop my mom and stepfather to stop fighting? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 06:40 PM PDT My mom and my step dad have been fighting alot. Once a day. Most of the time.my stepfather would be angry at me because of those fights. |
Posted: 28 Aug 2018 06:27 PM PDT When I was a young teenager, we had a family gathering at our house &my mom's cousin (female) came from out of town. It was a tradition for girls to buy & take pictures with a dress from my mom's culture. The way the dress is built takes 2 people to help get it on so my mom and her cousin were helping me. My mom had gone to her closet to get another piece of the dress, and as I was trying to slip the dress on, my bra slipped off. My mom's cousin then made a remark of how I was hitting puberty and then lunged forward and touched me on my chest. I pushed her hands off & as I was struggling to regain my balance so I get away from her, she touched me again. I then went to my sister's room crying and I told her what happened. Since she was going to try on the dress too, I told her I would help her by myself even if we struggled, and not to go near my mom's cousin. I never told my mom what happened because I was afraid she wouldn't believe me. People from my mom's culture are very touchy feely so they wouldn't consider this wrong. I started having nightmares almost every single night of me being raped or molested since then. Now 12 years later, I still have the nightmares but not as often as before. Recently I was packing things away, and I saw what looked like the dress (it was actually a blanket with similar pattern) & I started panicking. Is this considered molestation? |
Question: My mum has never said I love you to me.? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 06:17 PM PDT My mother and I have never really had a good relationship. But I think we got along when I was a youngster (im 16 now). I only recently realized that I ve never heard her say I love you to me. But i do my dad. we say it to eachther all the time. Since around 12, my real feelings of anger and depression really started to get noticeable to me and I realized that my mum and I couldnt go a single day without her yelling at me and me ending up crying in the bathroom. My dad is always there for me, protecting me he d say, but sometimes he would see me sad and not get involved. I guess he doesn t want to deal with my angry mother. Whenever my mum and I have an argument of any kind she is VERY unreasonable...and theres nothing me or anyone else can do about it. |
Question: I've deliberately cut my parents off because of their age. What are your thoughts? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 06:13 PM PDT They chose to wait until they were past 40 and 50 to have me. I'm 15 years old, my father is 66 years old and my mother is 62. Why are more and more parents waiting until they're past 40 and 50 to have kids? Why would they do that to their own children? Do they not care to be in their lives? And why aren't other kids who have parents that had them past 50 dropping them and disowning them? I'd rather be without financial support than live with them. |

Question: How can I talk to my mom? Read details.? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 05:33 PM PDT Ok tomorrow we have a friend coming over from another state we both been cleaning she gets crabby easy all it takes it her cleaning a lot I asked her a yes or no question and she snapped at me she knows that I haven't been feeling well due to my period and horrible cramps with headaches I still did cleaning myself also but I'm not snapping at her after that I just kinda stopped talking to her because that made me emotional just gives her another reason to be mad and guilt trip me not bothering asking me what's wrong I want us to be cool for when she's here tomorrow my body won't let me speak to her at the moment I'm more emotional on my period and she knows this I don't know why she's making it a big deal I just want advice. Should I just tell her what I said on here? We are ok now just letting everyone know but no she doesn't get the period anymore oh and it's her visitor not mine I just get a long with the person who she's friends with as like she's also my friend but mostly hers don't assume anything unless you know for sure. I used to be on birth control also all it did was made my period less heavy but didn't do anything with the pain I take midol which somewhat helps but it comes back later anyway al you can do really is relax but you should know if you're a female. |

Question: What to do with brother? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 04:39 PM PDT My brother is older and always made me laugh now he is making me cry. When our dad passed away it destroyed our family. My brother traveled all over Asia to gamble. He has a gambling addiction. Its been 10 years now. I tried multiple times to get him to therapy when he is home. It helps but then he goes back to traveling and spending all his $. Past few yrs he is living overseas. Lately saying he's homeless. I always helped with money but for the past few months I cant afford it. Im trying to finish my college degree and taking care of our sick mom, which he doesn't even skype to see how were doing. Anyways, I stopped giving him money and he is homeless. I tell him to get a job but he said he is unhappy if he's not gambling. I told him he needs to see a doctor or a therapist and get on his own feet. I already spent thousands of $ trying to help him and I legit cant anymore. Its making me cry. Everyone tells me not to help me but I feel bad I cant help anymore. Is there anything he can do when he is this low? Is there something I can do to stay strong? |
Question: My five year old son went on his first day of school yesterday but...? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 04:28 PM PDT Hello. I have a 5 year old son who barely started school yesterday. He's in Kindergarten. Last year I couldn't enroll him to Pre-k due to various reasons, so he skipped the grade. He already knows how to count to 50, his ABC's, the basic stuff like that, but he can't write or talk properly. Today was his second day of school and I noticed he was acting differently when he came back. He was all quiet and timid. He usually is cheerful and happy. I told him what he did in school today and he said write and draw. Later on he came into my room saying that the teacher got mad at him and that he was sad. My son can't speak that properly, it's just mostly gibberish and then actual words. I tried going in the school to see what happened but for some reason they didn't let me. Is there anything I can do bc seeing my little boy like this hurts me so much. I try to teach him at home too. I help him how to write, how to cut paper with scissors, how to glue stuff... It just really hurts me seeing my first son like this. |
Posted: 28 Aug 2018 02:55 PM PDT He was terrible to them until they got cancer. His grandmother he was also terrible to. Once terminally ill he was half descent to his parents though never made up. |
Posted: 28 Aug 2018 02:51 PM PDT Last band practice, he tried singing one of my songs. He sang it completely WRONG. He did not sing it in the right tone, the right key, he sang it flat and very horribly. So I looked his name up on YouTube(he plays guitar) he has videos of him singing cover songs and they are all out of tune and key and not like the original bands. What do I do to let him know me and the other members think he should just not sing lead on a few songs even though he is NOT the lead singer? Do people not know when they sing bad and cannot match pitch? |
Question: How do I apologize to people for my mother's cruelty to her siblings? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 02:50 PM PDT I am embarrassed by how she treats them and fear it will reflect poor on me. |
Question: My brother is an ex-felon. Does he need a pardon to be able to vote again? Posted: 28 Aug 2018 02:49 PM PDT By ex I mean he is off probation. He was a VERY bad person but has softened though we don't know him very well. |
