Posted: 02 Aug 2018 02:35 PM PDT As i said I was ordering lunch , the manager of the restaurant I went to came out looked at me , and said hello love . I put my hand out to shake her hand . she just came in for a hug and told her it was nice to see her . Question: Is this really a problem with MYSELF or is it an issue with the people saying it? Posted: 02 Aug 2018 12:57 PM PDT I've had 2 people tell me I'm "vague". One is one of my best friends. They've got in the habit of always trying to "correct" what I say. It feels like I rarely say the "right thing". They will say I'm being vague, tell me to elaborate more, or say I didn't word something properly (and then give examples of why what I said was "wrong" and how "everyone" views it the way they do). I can say absolutely NOTHING wrong and be pretty clear about whatever topic is at hand, yet they act like this. It often happens at random too and sometimes even causes them to start an argument with me. I hate arguments, so I usually just back off when that happens and avoid talking to them for awhile. A newer friend I haven't known long told me I'm vague a lot, act "mysterious" or jump between topics. I don't see what they mean really. Yes, I know sometimes people can get off topic. You might be talking about something, then one of you makes a comment and you start drifting into a different subject. That isn't always bad. But I don't purposely change a topic. I have no idea how I'm "mysterious". There are some things I just don't want to talk to certain people about. Since this is a newer person, I don't share a whole lot with them right now. Funny enough, another one of my best friends doesn't seem to have any issues with me. We have always been able to talk perfectly fine over the phone and in person. They've never "corrected" my wording or told me I'm vague. I was just wondering if I really do have bad communication skills, or if these two people are just being rude. I try to be careful about how I text people. I know it can be annoying to send super long, detailed texts all the time and I know "over-sharing" is not always welcome or appreciated. It makes me feel bad about myself though. I've always thought I had perfectly fine communication skills and no, not ALL the people I know say this. I do sometimes use "they", "she/he", etc. but so do other friends of mine. I try to make it clear who I'm talking about though. I usually only say "he/she" or "they" AFTER I've already previously given a name or something. My best friend I mentioned first in the description can be really rude at times in general for no reason and they tend to automatically assume EVERYTHING is somehow directed to or about them. It can be really hard to talk to them because of that because I don't want to say... … "the wrong thing". With the new friend I mentioned, they have some cognitive problems. They can have a very hard time understanding certain things, remembering things, etc. I think that may be why they have said some of the things they have, but I can't help but kind of wonder if I'm bad at communicating because of the one best friend who says things like the examples I gave. With me, I just have some basic anxiety at times. I'm overall an understanding person who is considered smart (I was... … in advanced classes in school for example). I'm also really good at giving people advice (people come to me for a lot of things - even for suggestions as to what to write inside a card). I've had many people tell me I'm very good with words too. So I was just wondering if there was something "wrong" with me since a couple people in my life (primarily the first best friend I mentioned in the description) seem to really "disapprove" of the way I communicate on the phone. |

Question: Why would a guy be possessive over me when he is the one that rejected me? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 11:36 PM PDT I don't understand, i was a little butt hurt when I found out through a mutual friend that he didn't want a relationship and he felt like I did want one. (Just a way of saying he isn't interested) now he stalks my social media, likes my pics, messages etc. yea sure I was too forward and definitely scared him off and I take rejection like a champ which is not very common lol. But dang what's up with this |

Posted: 01 Aug 2018 06:38 PM PDT This older man was talking about this documentary in which a 40 something woman falls in love with a 20 something man. I said that is not love then, but he says maybe it could be. I was like "oh really?" but he didnt continue. Why would he say this when I was rejected by him when I asked him out in the past? |

Question: Should I tell him out? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 12:51 PM PDT I really like this guy who actually liked me in the past. But due to my then ex-love, I couldn't accept him. It's been a few months. He don't really talk to me now. But he's stuck up in my mind lately and I couldn't concentrate in anything else. Should I tell him how I feel about him? |
