I m quite romantic and cheesy and I love to daydream about romantic scenes lol. But I m quite realistic too. We are going on a getaway trip soon to a secluded resort island. I was planning on taking her to the beach restaurant which has views over the beach and its quite laid-back and chilled. The plan was to order a bouquet of purple orchids (her favorite flowers) to the restaurant, write down a "will you marry me card", and when the time is right, I ll go and get her the flowers to the table. What do you guys think? We don t do the whole kneeling down thing in my culture btw. Another scenario I was thinking of was, after we finish eating at the restaurant, we walk by the beach and I bring the flowers to her and propose. Either way, please provide me suggestions :(

He proposed a little over a year ago and I love my ring but he didn't make as much last year as he does now and I think he wants to give me a new ring to symbolize our love. Wearing a new ring would not take away any meaning from the proposal for me, I just want to make sure this is a normal gesture

I wanna start by saying I'm 24 and he proposed last year on our first vacation. I love the ring but I know he wasn't making as much last year as he is now. He fell asleep a few nights ago and on his phone, while I was setting his alarm, I saw that he left a web page open looking at nice rings. We are going on another vacation next month so would it be weird if he upgraded my ring on that vacation? Or at all? We had a few problems last month like arguing and feeling distant because of our work schedules. We are so much better now and he may be doing this as a sign of his love...I just want to make sure this is a normal gesture!!
